Re: Ligue 2 > August 8th & 9th Angers-Arles 1 @1,95 stake 6 I want to give confidence to Les Angevins for their home debut. Given the info provided by Meatman and also a little of understanding I have for this League; they seems to me to possess an outstanding formation. This in soccer does not ever mean win, becasue soccer is not an exact science; however finding them at this succulent price at home against a team that appear very lower profile, cannot be miss. Angers has left out Pessalli and there is some concerns on fans, however this is probably dued to the fact they will have CDL nex days. Arles i am sure will play defense and counter attack. Last year Arles waas 1-8-10 12-25 goals so a lot of draws and lost matches. Angers Always strong at home, Always winning 1-0/2-1 and 8-7-4 23-18 goals. Odds for Angers are going slightly up, but this does not interest me, last week Brest was continuosly rising and we know they finally wins with some luck.( to said it all on AH the base H has been taken to 0.5 while started to -0.25) Allez Angers SCO!!! Other sensations are Creteil, Lehavre (but they are feeling already pressure, and last year were underachieving at home), Dijion should win their matches.

Re: Ligue 2 > August 8th & 9th Angers – Arles I backed Angers last week and they let me down, falling 3-0 behind after just 30 mins away at Nimes. It was just one of those games where Nimes took virtually every chance and too much damage was taken. They eventually pulled it back to 3-2, but it was too little too late. The actual manner of the Angers performances wasn’t too bad though, at least from an attacking sense. Some players certainly impressed in the final third, it was just at the back they had issues. New man Traore is injured which might not be a bad thing because I wasn’t impressed with him last week. Experience campaigner Loic Guillon looks set to start in the middle of defence tonight. He supposedly had a very good preseason so I’m not sure why he didn’t feature against Nimes. Vincent Manceau is expected to keep his spot at right back even though he had a shocker last week. He’s better suited to midfield but it seems the coach is desperate to have him in the XI at some sort of position. Arles will miss Ziri Hammar to injury and this might be a blow because the new man reportedly had a very good game last week. I should probably keep my faith in Angers and not going to just give up on them after one week. At home they should be able to get the business done tonight, Arles are never known for their goalscoring ability, especially on the road, so its easily possible that one strike would be enough to see the hosts over the line. But the price just isn’t QUITE juicy enough! Prediction: Angers 2-0 Arles NO BET Clermont – Auxerre It’s expected that Clermont will start the exact same XI that lost against Brest on Monday night. The only exception is that Baptiste Martin will feature at CB in place of the injured Jacques Salze. With just a 4 day rest period, I’m surprised that Corinne Diacre isn’t going to freshen up a few places. Unheard of Adrien Pagerie is going to keep his spot on the left hand side of defence. He wasn’t all that bad on Monday night but I still believe they have much better options on their roster than him! Fans are confused why promising talent Hugo Videmont hasn’t been included in the squad again. At least Yoann Betch is now in the 16, but weirdly it looks like Clermont are going to have 3 midfielders on the bench! Diacre won’t have many attacking players to sub on, unless she switches to a different formation. Auxerre on the other hand are at virtual full strength, minus new signing Livio Nabab who’s still injured. I would say its very likely Frederic Sammaritano and Cheick Diarra come into their XI tonight. AJA played well last week, although striker Sebastian Haller had a stinker so will probably get replaced. I actually quite like the spot Auxerre are in. They had a nice opening day win and have also had a full week to recover. Clermont are coming off a short week and seem a little bit of a muddle right now. Corinne Diacre’s tactics are worrying me already. I’m not going to bet on this game but I’m expecting Auxerre to get at least a point. Prediction: Clermont 0-1 Auxerre NO BET Creteil – Chateauroux The hosts miss important defender Vincent Di Bartolomeo to injury. His epxeirnedec could be nmissed tonight but Creteil do at least have decent depth at the back and his likely replacement Christophe Diedhiou isn’t too bad. Elsewhere in the team, new signing Frederic Piquionne looks set to make his debut, whilst Ben Sangare returns after injury. Chateauroux have a sprinkling of injuries but nobody of major importance is ruled out. The main issue to focus on here is how poor the visitors were last week. Ok, they did face Troyes but the manner of their display was extremely worrying. They hardly had a shot on target and they looked very lifeless in the final third. Defensively they didn’t look much better either and on another day could have easily conceded more. Creteil lost at Tours last week but performed alright. It was especially encouraging how good they looked going forward. Based on what I saw last week, Creteil should be able to get the business done tonight, but @ these odds I have no interest in backing them. They aren’t far off being a -1 asian favourite which would be ridiculous! Besides, it’s possible Chateauroux might rebound. They have a good coach so he might be able to fix their issues. Either way, I’m not going to touch this game, the value is with the visitors but you’d have to be really brave to back them. Prediction: Creteil 2-0 Chateauroux NO BET Dijon – Laval Last week at Nancy, Dijon had quite a few squad issues. Things aren’t quite as bad for this match but they still miss first choice defensive duo Zakaria Diallo and Pap Paye. Winger, Romain Amalfitano is injured too which reduces their options slightly in the final third. Laval have no injuries to worry about but star striker Christian Bekamenga still isn’t included in the squad. He’s highly likely to transfer out of the club soon, and as of yet they haven’t found a replacement. Dijon should really win this game. They are renowned for their home strength and facing a team like Laval should be getting the business done. The visitors just have a weak squad and in a fixture like this should come out second best. In six previous visits to Dijon they haven’t even managed to score a single goal! Their best hope is to play for a 0-0 and try and to frustrate Les Rouges. Something like 1-0 is likely, but with the hosts currently priced up as a -0.75 favourite I’m not interested in betting. Prediction: Dijon 1-0 Laval NO BET Le Havre – GFCA Both teams are pretty much at full strength for this fixture. Havre welcome back winger/striker Mickael Le Bihan tonight which is a boost, but whether he starts or not remains to be seen. I’m expecting Le Havre to win, but there are a few niggling doubts in my mind which puts me off backing them. For some reason, this team always starts the season slow. It was the same last year and against Auxerre they didn’t look that great. They struggle to break down tough defences and whilst GFCA aren’t elite by any means, they could have some success tonight by parking the bus. The visitors travel here on the back of a morale boosting and deserved 2-0 win against Valenciennes and you can’t underestimate their promotion momentum. That being said, this will be a much tougher match and Havre have much more quality and ability than them on paper. I like the feeling around GFCA at the moment though and they even travelled up north on Thursday so the long away trip shouldn’t be that much of an issue here. If they sneaked a 0-0 or 1-1 draw I wouldn’t be completely surprised. Nevertheless, if Le Havre do play well and to their proper level, then this should end up as a routine home win. If you fancy Le Havre then a price around evens could look massive come the final whistle. I’m just not totally sure here, so I prefer to watch how they start and maybe back them in running. There’s too many elements of doubt pre match to risk backing them IMO. Prediction: Le Havre 1-0 GFCA NO BET Niort – Brest The hosts have starting RB Tristan Lahaye ruled out injured which might create a problem. They don’t really have a natural replacement for him so Kevin Malcuit is going to have to fill in there. He’s not someone who has played an awful lot for them in recent years and is far better suited to the left back role. Niort are otherwise at full strength though which helps their cause. Brest only have one significant injury as well, to winger Chahir Belghazouani. They have plenty of options out wide though, so this should be less of a problem. I really can’t see this being a very exciting game. Regis Brouard is famed for his negative tactics, whilst Brest are known for just parking the bus on the road. They would be more than happy with a point here, and in actual fact, I don’t think Niort It would be that unhappy with a draw either. This match bears all the hallmarks of a 0-0 or 1-1 outcome. Neither team will want to lose and neither will probably take too many risks. I’m not interested in betting, even though Brest +0.5 does perhaps look a bit juicy. Niort don’t deserve to be such strong favourites for this match. Prediction: Niort 0-0 Brest NO BET Orleans – Nancy The newly promoted side are at complete full strength here and even welcome new signing Robert Maah into their squad this week. Big things are expected of him, although he might only start from the bench tonight due to a lack of match fitness. Nancy on the other hand still have some squad issues, especially in midfield. Lossemy Karaboue and Remy Walter both miss out, whilst left winger Fabrice Ehret is another casualty. The big Nancy news however is that stud playmaker Jeff Louis is out of the squad, pending a potential transfer to Standard Liege. Take him out of this team and it seriously lacks creativity. Instead, coach Pablo Correa will have to rely on a more defensive gameplan. The Nancy backline is extremely solid and hard to penetrate. From what I saw of Orleans last week they also look fairly solid. This is going to be a really cagey match and one goal for either team would probably be enough to secure all 3 points. It’s certainly a 0-0 contender and that’s my overall predicted outcome. Yet another match which doesn’t interest me from a betting point of view. Prediction: Orleans 0-0 Nancy NO BET Troyes – Tours ESTAC miss key right back Maxime Collin who is a real asset. I’m not totally sure who’s going to replace him in that position but they’ll be downgraded. At least the hosts don’t have any other injury concerns and should be able to start the likes of Benjamin Nivet and Ghislain Gimbert in this encounter. Tours are at full strength except for the suspension of GK Esteben Salles. He’s not that important though and their no2 keeper is just as good. If you’re going to watch just one Ligue 2 match tonight then this is definitely the fixture to keep an eye on. It should easily be the most open encounter of the round and I expect to see a few goals scored. Both teams love to attack and it’s their natural style to ‘have a go’ Ultimately, I think Troyes might just about end up victorious, but Tours showed last week that they won’t be any pushovers at this stage of the season. The visitors still have great attacking potential, despite having lost key striker Andy Delort. I would love to back over 2.5 goals here, but the price is too short. Backing over 2.5 in French football is usually the way to the poorhouse! If the 2.25 line became an attractive price, then it’s worth considering, but reluctantly for now I’m going to have to say no bet. Prediction: Troyes 3-2 Tours NO BET

Re: Ligue 2 > August 8th & 9th Damn it...! Just a little refresh for whom did not already seen by theirselves.. there is bad weather in a lot of tonight's matches venue.. At Angers, Creteil, Niort, Le Havre, Orleans (very bad weather here) the worst situations. At Clermont not so bad, and quite good at Troyes and Dijion...I have make a bad mistake not to check weather conditions this morning, giving for sure that is summer and sun is shining everywhere, and I know this is one of the point to have just a look when taking a bet!! Fingers crossed!!!
