Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

That was the plan' date=' I looked on bet365 and hills and neither had the game in-play, assumed no-one had it, didn't look on betfair though..[/quote'] Thinking back - you're right, I don't think anyone had it in-play - perhaps due to the difficulty of live streaming from the Faroes?

How do you get that job by the way? Sounds amazing..:lol You think of all the random games they cover in-play they should really have a game like that covered.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July On todays games I'm not really fancying anything to be honest. To back up what Fedar said earlier Malmo were the biggest disappointment of last week, created nothing and looked terrible - I won't be touching them again especially at that price even against a side like Ventspils who are hardly world-beaters. Legia were a big disappointment too and don't look a good side this season, they haven't bought anyone and have a small squad, they have started the league poorly not winning any of the first 3 games. St Pats will show plenty of industry but haven't been good in the league either and come into this as big underdogs..tempted by St Pats double chance at 2.15 but put off by the fact they can't play it at their home ground, although it will be a sell-out gate of 6,000 it is a disadvantage, just got a feeling Legia will find a way through. Either way I would strongly fancy Celtic to go through against either of these.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

You're kidding right' date=' it's one of the most popular bets.[/quote'] To punters in Europe and across the world, the BTTS market is indeed a very popular one and well cited in posts in every league. But it may be to your amazement, just about EVERY American-friendly bookie does NOT offer btts. Btts options pop up when late in CL playoffs or at major tournaments like the World Cup. But if I wanted to punt btts in any game this week I would be out of luck so I'm assuming the poster above is probably in the united states and empathize.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

Anyone got any info on hjk v rabotniki' date=' scoring draw ?[/quote'] I'm familiar with this tie and will share, but what interest me is how you have come to a conclusion of a scoring draw and not anything else. Watched the first leg and it was tight and boring 0-0 affair. Neither team created much in the final third and they both looked happy with the result at the end. HJK looked more determined and Rabotnicki has a very young squad after selling the most important players at the end of last season. There were 4 teenagers in Rabotnicki team last week and they will most probably play today as well. Quality is surely on finnish side and they have the advantage of playing on their plastic pitch and that will surely suit them more. Full house expected to support them and they should win this.

I think it is worth to put a small punt on St. Pats double chance. As mentioned Legia is in a poor form (although it's just 2 games into the season), they lack physical advantage and most of all motivation. I do not know much about their Irish opponents but it's difficult to find teams with lower football competences than the Polish ones. I expect another disappointing night for Polish fans today. If Legia somehow makes it through to the next round, as rightly mentioned by HastGill there will be a good opportunity to make money opposing them, when they face Celtic. St Patrick's +0.5 ah @1.975 with bet365 (2pts)

There's a good preview on this Irish site ... http://extratime.ie/newsdesk/articles/12690/buckley-confident-ahead-of-legia-clash/ It sounds as though St Pats might be quite defensive - they have the away goal.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

So the million dollar question... Does Malmo lay another egg and completely reverse everything they have worked years for or.... wake up and polish off a team they should beat my 2+ goals?
Does anyone have any input?? This would be a massive upset should Malmo not right the ship today.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July I was looking at Maribor v Zrinjski, the Slovenian champions against the Bosnian champions. The stats from last week's 0-0 first leg suggest it was quite even. Maribor have a good home record, but Zrinjski have the advantage that they didn't concede an away goal. If they score, Maribor have to score two. Zrinjski are nearly 9.0 tonight. Does anyone know more about the respective strength of these two teams?

Sorry, but you asking the same question twice in the same thread, even though input about this game has been already given in the same thread. Seems you are just lookin for "green light" to load on Malmo.

"Malmo were awful in the 1st leg. Plain awful. I read from a Swedish football expert (I think on this forum) that their best player is injured and they just sold two other key players. I think this game should be "under 2.5" but I am not betting on it." "Malmo were the biggest disappointment of last week, created nothing and looked terrible - I won't be touching them again especially at that price even against a side like Ventspils who are hardly world-beaters." I think that's more than enough to know about this game. Last week Malmo played awful and the real price for them winning at that game should have been 2.30-2.40 (it was 1.10). Now they meet the same opponent, a week later, a draw with goals suits them, and they are priced at 1.50-1.60. Bad deal in my eyes.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July So you feel the DRAW might be the best play? I just have a hard time seeing them crash out at this stage to this team when they have come so far over the past 3 years to get to this point. They played gingerly over the weekend in drawing at Kalmar and no doubt were concentrating on this game. I think they have the quality to win today and see it 2-0 or 2-1. They have much better quality players and will be all business today in my opinion. Hope I am correct.

They surely have more quality than the Latvians and the most likely outcome is away win, but NOT FOR THIS PRICE.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

They've won 8 out of 10 games at home this season, I think the away form has been the problem - but I agree, not having the game at their home ground might be a disadvantage. There's a good preview on this Irish site ... http://extratime.ie/newsdesk/articles/12690/buckley-confident-ahead-of-legia-clash/ It sounds as though St Pats might be quite defensive - they have the away goal.
Do you feel that they have enough quality at the back to play this way though? From my experience with St Patricks whether they are playing well or playing bad, the always seem to concede. Most games they win are usually by outscoring their opponents. The stats back this up too with them not having kept a clean sheet in their last 5 games. Incidentally BTTS - Yes has happened in each of those games too. I think I am siding with either BTTS - Yes (1.91) or Over 2.5 goals (2.00) in this game. To me the question is how (good or bad) Legia will perform as to wether these bets are likely to come in. Does anyone have more knowledge/thoughts on Legia and how well they may perform tonight?

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July A warning about underestimating Legia against Celtic in the next round. Legia achieve results when nobody fancies them. Last year I lost by biggest stake ever backing Steaua to beat Legia in Bucurest. All the factors pointed to a home win, Legia qualified after two poor performances against Molde. But the Polish team produced a very good gameplan and really troubled Steaua on the break. The match finished 1-1, but Legia had the better chances for a victory. Today nobody mentioned an easy win for Legia in Ireland, but again they produced a good performance when nobody fancied them.

had a feeling the finish league was poor and rabotnicki may snatch an away goals win.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 2nd Leg - Tues 22nd & Wed 23rd July

They don't have to stream it to cover it' date=' just need a employee there to update the events as they occur. [b']How do you get that job by the way? Sounds amazing..:lol You think of all the random games they cover in-play they should really have a game like that covered.
The bookies themselves don't have an employee at the matches, but they use the services of companies like Betradar or RunningBall. These companies specialise in providing live in-play feeds of what is going on at a match, and those feeds get integrated into the bookmaker's backend system. So if you want a job doing that you'd be best applying to Betradar or RunningBall, but I wouldn't recommend it much to be honest. You wouldn't really get to watch or enjoy the game, you'd literally be pressing a new button on your tablet every few seconds (Ball safe, Home team attack, Dangerous attack, Possible corner, Corner confirmed etc.). Also I don't think you get paid a lot - they don't pay for you to travel across the world and watch matches, rather they have a big network of "scouts" all across the globe, and they all go to their local games. So depending on where you live, there may well already be scouts around your local area in which case they probably wouldn't be interested. But if you lived somewhere really exotic like say Sierra Leone, then they'd probably be interested and pay you a bit too - cos they could expand their coverage to include matches which they don't already cover. These companies pride themselves on the integrity of their scouts - if they had a dodgy scout who might purposefully delay the inputting of a goal onto his tablet for say 10 seconds, he could first quickly relay the goal to one of his mates who could then get a bet on before all the bookies receive word of the goal. Also there have been a few reports of scouts getting chucked out the stadium by stewards/police etc. when they see them tapping away on a tablet. In some far-flung countries this sort of behaviour is synonymous with match-fixing rackets etc so it is not looked to kindly upon.
