Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Molde (Norway) v Gorica (Slovakia) This one is purely a bet going off the numbers as I haven't watched either of these two play. Molde are in good form winning 4 of 5 in all comps drawing the 5th and lead the Norwegian League by 6. Their home league record is imposing reading 6 wins 1 draw no losses -- scored 19 conceding only 5. Gorica are currently in their pre-season and have just lost 1-3 to Partizan Belgrade in a home friendly. Last season they finished 4th and 5 points away from the last Europa qualifying position. They are here because they won the cup. Going all the way back to 2000, Gorica have lost 7 of 9 away European matches while drawing the other 2. The 3 most recent away games in Europa League being a 2-1 loss to Rabotnicki (Macedonia) in 2007, a 2-0 loss away to Lahti (Finland) in 2009 and a 1-1 draw with Randers (Norway) in 2010 with that being the last year they tasted European football. The return leg where Molde have to travel to Slovakia, comes before their home match with Rosenberg in the league who are also entertaining Europa guests tonight, and they'll want to be fresh for that one. Molde for the straight win has firmed from 1.85 to 1.78 at Marathon with most books offering 1.65 - 1.70. Likely to drop significantly over next few days. It's good enough for me. Molde @ 1.78 Good luck :ok

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Also another one that stands out is Dinamo Minsk (Belarus) at home to MYPA (Finland). Situation is much the same as the above pick. Minsk are the dominant force of Belarus at the moment. Top of the form table. They have won their last 3 matches at home and their last 3 away, all to nil. However I don't like "to nil" bets. Just a preference but I realise many of you on here do. Minsk at home are imperious having an 8-0-0 record, scoring 19 and conceding a measly 2 goals. They sit only 3 points above BATE Borisov who are trying to reel them in, so they have no time to waste in dispatching of Finnish opposition as quickly and efficiently as possible. MYPA are not only from an inferior league, but weak visitors. In their 9 away matches of the Veikkausliga they have won 2 drawn 1 and lost 6. Scoring only 5 but conceding 17. Their 3 most recent away matches have seen 1 draw and 2 defeats scoring only once in those 3 matches but getting 8 in their own net. They are near the bottom of the form table in Finland. Lambs to the slaughter? Have taken Minsk -1 AH @ 1.86 at Marathon. It opened at 2.04 and the price has been eaten. Seconds after taking this bet. They have now moved it into 1.81. Why so sensitive? My stake wasn't even an amount that would scare them? Marathon are a funny old bookie. Best of Luck :ok

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Petrolul - Flamuntari The banker of this round, if there is such a thing should be Petrolul - Flamuntari 1 @ 1.22. Petrolul has a great team, good coach and wonderful fans. They played 5 friendly games, they won all of them (5-0 with Volga, 2-0 with Dinamo Zagreb, 2-0 with Slaven, 2-1 with Maribor and 1-0 with Partizan) and you see all 5 were strong opponents. I see Petrolul as title contenders in Liga I (Romanian league) this year. Flamuntari from Albania qualified after 3-2 in Georgia with Sioni and 1-2 at home ground. I don't see how Flamuntari can escape here in Ploiesti and for sure Petrolul can obtain a clear win. 1 (-1.5) @ 1.75 10/10

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Maybe Fedar can share some light over Litex-Diosgyori game. I am one step to place a bet on home win, based on the fact that bulgarian football is stronger than hungarian football. Also I see Litex is very strong on home ground (not loosing a single game in regular season). Diosgyori had some problems last round with very weak Birkirkara from Malta. Also I am curious about Bursa-Chikhura (Geo). Turkish teams are very strong specially on their own ground. Chikhura is not saying anything to me...

Agree with you mate ,but i saw last round in Tippeligaen againts Aalesund , Molde was so tired even they manage to win the match ! StrikerFredik Gulbradsen 11/6 is injured and is in doubt to play Thursday, also a big doubt to play is strikerBjörn Bergman Sigurðarson 11/6 ,while striker Tommy Hoiland 13/3 back to squad after was in loand for Lillestrom and probably he will play this Europa League round! I think Molde win will be a great pick!

Very difficult call, mate. First, I have absolutely no idea about Hungarian football and about Diosgyori. I am also not sure Bulgarian footie is stronger than Hungarian - the fact is that in the recent years Debreceni eliminated Levski and Litex, in the 1990 MTK eliminated CSKA and I honestly don't remember in my life-time Bulgarian team eliminating Hungarian team. Okay, I agree Ludogorets should be better than any Hungarian team, but not sure about the other Bulgarian teams. Litex simply didn't convince me. First, their coach Balakov was a fantastic player, but I think he is complete joke as a manager and I doubt he changed so much over the past two years (two years ago he was certainly a joke manager). Against Veris, Litex were helped a lot by the red card in the 25th minute. Still, Veris missed absolute sitter to equalize the score in the beginning of the second half, which could have made the task for Litex very very hard. Litex's defense made also several other big mistakes, which went unpunished. These Hungarians should be surely a better team than Veris.

Lisandri, i know you are more into Norwegian football, but since you are Albanian, can you provide some info about Flamurtari?! Petrolul is excellent team and they are performing great in summer prep, and they are full of ambitions to make a break-through in Europe.

Lisandri' date=' i know you are more into Norwegian football, but since you are Albanian, can you provide some info about Flamurtari?! Petrolul is excellent team and they are performing great in summer prep, and they are full of ambitions to make a break-through in Europe.[/quote'] Yes I live in Shkoder and I will write few things about Fk Flamurtari! Last season Flamurtari Vlore was near relegation from "Kategoria Superiore " some financial problems but now in club came some Turkish investitors (Trt and Atlas Jet) and manage the financial situation! 250.000 $ is the Premio to advance the next round in Europa League for squad! Some good players are in the squad national team member midfilder Gilman Lika 16/2 ,new arrival midfilder Gjergji Muzaka 31 /4 ex Skenderbeu Korce the Albanian champions , central midfilder Nijas Lena from Macedonia, and defender from Bahia Brasil Douglas Augusto Mendes! I think they will play very closed in defence and maybe in counter-atack to score at least 1 goal!! Cheers Fedar!

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Molde v Gorica Gorica - since 2013 - have basically become a feeder club for Parma, so they have profited by having plenty of loan players from them, if you are looking for the reason they won the cup this is it. Parma have become notorious for having lots of players out on loan - and basically seeing if they come good - they had over 100 players out on loan last season and Gorica profited massively from this. This is a brief look at their squad last season - Coda 18 goals 35 appearances, Lapadula 11 goals 28 apps, Misuraca 8 goals 30 apps - all from Parma and that is just the attacking positions! The rest of their starting line-up from last season is basically all from Parma! Only 2 who were there last season played in their most recent friendlies, these two are Ronaldo Vanin and Marco Modolo. I have been through the news section of their website and there is no suggestion they have got any other players from Parma currently as all went back at the end of last season, so only 3 of the starting XI from their last league game are still at the club. Here is what the President of the club said (translation is a bit dodgy!):

The composition of the team for the new season initially said:'' The personnel situation at present is not optimal. Those who are on the team are the best. This is what we can do at this moment, and I do not see the problem. I am confident and I know that we will continue to strengthen, so that we in the Slovenian championship again played an important role.'' He added that the team will be made ??up until mid-August. Given the imminent hosting in Norway, said:'' The band is different from the last season. Most miss our first scorer. Appearance with him would be something else. In the towel will not be thrown. I believe that the boys did their best. If we are disciplined in relation to the work as a coach I have no doubt we can make a good result and a surprise.''
Given how good Molde have been so far, I don't really see much reason to hold back. Their potential injuries are a concern but they have far more quality than the visitors. The bookies will have priced the game up quickly and probably won't have done much research.. Molde - 1.61 - coral - 5 Points Molde -1EH - 2.5 - ladbrokes - 5 Points

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Hast that is golden info thanks very much. In the translation section, I'm taking it as, they won't get more loan players again until mid-August so until then they'll put out the best team they can. Yeah the bookies will have priced this one up off the stats at best and then all copied each other. Hope to take a bite out of them tomorrow.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J AIK at 1.9 away to Linfield looks a stand out bet to me. Seems quite a good price. Over the past few seasons Linfield have made life difficult for the bigger clubs without ever really looking like winning. They play very defensive at home. AIK are in good form are well into their season they also have some serious talent such as Borges who played every game at the world Cup for Costa rica and Bahoui who has been linked with english premier league clubs. The Linfield manager has said his team is not yet 100% fit after only just begining pre season training so I just dont think they will be good enough here.

This one looks like a trap to me. Especially with the manager's comment. I remember backing a Scandanavian team this stage last season away to a Welsh or Irish team and it was a draw. Then in the second leg the Scandanavians won comfortably. Main factor is AIK will be happy to do the job at home and don't NEED to win.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Coral have the Molde Draw No Bet @ 1.22 if that is of interest to anyone. Double the size of anyone else, so could maybe argue a bit of value there. Sky and Bet365 have the away side Draw No Bet @ 6, so also an arb.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Guys, watch out on these Molde bets. It seems that Scandinavian football is very poor these days. Malmo today - total disaster, IFK Gotteborg couldn't beat Fola Esch at home, Stromgodset were totally overrun by Steaua, who are far from their best, Haugesund struggling against very poor Welsh team...And Malmo was so dominant in their league as Molde is in the Norwegian. I don't know about the situation with these loaned players in Gorica, but Slovenian football has been improving a lot. And Gorica seem like a solid outfit, who were very competitive in direct encounters with Maribor. And MAribor are better team than Molde for sure.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J On the back of Legia's pathetic performance, I think Vaduz +0.5 and Kalju +0.5 are worth a try vs Ruch Chorzow and Lech Poznan. For the first, Ruch will play the game in Gliwice which isn't their home ground although its only 30 minutes from Chorzow. Ruch really overachieved to finish 3rd last season and their squad cannot compete at european level, although I don't know much about Vaduz, they will play in the Swiss top flight this season so they must be OK. Lech lost vs Zalgiris of Lithuania at this stage last season and again I don't see them 1.5 favourites against this Estonian team, they only signed a few players this summer so squad is largely the same as last season.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J 3 of AIKs players had problems with visa and missed the trip and will get to travel on thursday instead. One of the players is Celso Borges, on of the very good costaricans from the World Cup. Source Aftonbladet (on of Swedens biggest newspapers):http://www.aftonbladet.se/sportblade...cle19233482.ab

Good point regarding 2-legged ties. With the home leg to come, and a good home record, I think AIK might be happy with a draw (although it DOES leave them vulnerable to an away goal being scored in Sweden).

Agree that clubs from Scandinavia are a bit overrated in Europe, but just cannot see Molde slipping here and that's mostly because of the situation in Gorica camp. Saw Molde at the weekend in a game away at Aalesund when they recorded their 11 win in fifteen matches so far this season and although they looked overrated (regarding the odds) they came on top at the end. It's all about the aspirations and motiv in this Cups and we couldn't be sure how some teams will approach these games. Molde are quality side and looks serious club to me (and I avoided betting on Scandinavians till now) and should win this match comfortably. Valuable odds are long gone now however. GL on those who took that earlier. GL all

Almost forgot i've made some nice earnings with scandic team in 1st qual. round of LE, but that was different story and as it was more of opposing an amateurish side. However.. I'm tempted to get Rosenborg To Nil around evens against Sligo Rovers. Seeing Sligo have players out injured particularly in their attacking line and their goalless draw in the first leg of R1 away at average Lithuanian team Banga suggests they'll have troubles scoring in Norway. Would be great if theres some Irishman on the board to share some views on Sligo and their approach on this one. Skinny odds on Rosenborg straight win, but Win To Nil looks well worth a shot.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Hey Guys, I'm new here and I'm from Hungary. But first sorry for my bad English. This summer lot of important players left the club (Diósgy?r [- Diosgyor -]) and that's true, they played very bad against Birkirkara. The players know and tell everywhere (in the news etc.) that they didnt really have chance against Litex. In my opininion, In Hungary fast everyone's gonna bet against our Hungarian team, Diosgyor. 1. Hungarian football never was so bad before. 2. Lots of good players left the club. I dont know so much against the Bulgarian team, but I fell, the first game wont be our game.

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J Sligo are struggling to score many goals it took until FK Banga had a red card last week before they scored 3 of the 4 goals. The only negative Rosenborg concede lots of goals in the Tippilagaen ,Win To Nil May be a risk ,St Patricks scored last night v Legia Warsaw away anything can happen with Irish teams on the road

Re: Europa League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Wednesday 16th to Thursday 17th J CSKA Sofia - Zimbru (Moldova) First official game for CSKA Sofia. Three star players left the team because of financial issues. However, non-greedy devoted players stayed. The coach is betting on quality experienced players with lots of games in this competition. Bulgarian teams do not tend to lose at these stages and if it happens it is considered a disaster. CSKA are counting on entering the group stage in order not to go bankrupt. Home fans are always a big boost for this side. If CSKA is going out of this tournament it is not gonna be at this stage and certainly not going to lose the first home game. Last season CSKA kept a clean sheet at home against almost every team with the exception of Ludogorets. Zimbru overcame a Macedonian side to be here. They lost the away game. CSKA Sofia - Home win. I will probably be taking Litex and Botev Plovdiv DNB because the opposition is weak.

Agree with you Mick. The RP put up Torshavn @ 6/1 to beat Linfield at home in the last round and they nearly pulled it off. I also think that AIK are a much superior team. The price is crashing at the moment on the Greeks so I would be going -1 or -2 on the AH. Futher information to add here; Linfield will not have the comfort of their home stadium. The game will be played at Glenavon's (25 miles away) ground as Linfield's ground is undergoing refurbishment.
