Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July The odds on Malmö -1.5 loooks very good. Malmö is a very strong side and eventhough Jansson and Albornoz left and Mollins is injured. They are the strongest team in Sweden and Ventspils are from the latvian leuage that is a lot weaker then the swedish league which Elfsborg proved when they crushed Daugava Daugavaspils last year. The diffrence between Malmö and Ventspils is just to big for Malmö to fail. malmö -1.5 is available at Paddypower to 1.91 or marthon to 1.89.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Regarding Dinamo Zagreb.. Dinamo have played a match vs Rijeka on Friday, Supercup match.. Dinamo bought this season several players : Eduardo - Portugal NT keeper from Braga Sigali - Arg defender from Godoy Machado - Por mf from Olympiacos Goncalo - Por mf from Estoril Pjaca - Cro winger from Lokomotiva Radonji? - Cro fw from Istra Andrijaševi? - Cro mf from Hajduk Hodži? - Bosnian att from Željezni?ar where he was on loan from L'pool Team has left Halilovi? to BarcaB, Ruben Lima lb who is looking for a club.. I think that Dinamo will play in 4-3-2-1 formation : Eduardo - Pinto, Sigali, Šimuni?, Pivari? - Ademi, Brozovi?, Machado - Pjaca, Antoli? - ?op Soudani came late, directly from WC and he didn't made some trainings with a team, Junior Fernandez is out because of injury, Addy, Tavarel both cb are out to because of injuries.. My personal bet will be Žalgiris score a goal because I think that they will play on counter-attacks and I see a lot of troubles for Dinamo's defense.. In the match vs Rijeka, Dinamo show that they are fair away from form which they want, defense is slow, Joe Šimuni? with his 36 years is the weekest chain, slow reactions and if he is left on open field with Sigali there will be a lot of troubles.. Machado is solid player but he has several kg to many for this modern football so everything will be in hands of Brozovi? and Antoli?.. Btw, club will punish Šimuni?, Leko, Radonji? and Brozovi? because playing cards in bus after the match?! For me, the worst link in Dinamo is coach Zoran Mami?.. He really don't have a clue what he is doing, he is only a coach because Zdravko Mami? is owner of the club.. In Rijeka at score 2-1 for Rijeka he made a change of formation from 4-3-3 to 3-5-2.. When Dinamo played 4-3-3 only 2 players who left on their half of pitch were Sigali and Šimuni?, but when they turn to 3-5-2 Sigali and Šimuni? got company of Ademi and Dinamo lost fight in centre of half.. I'm a fan of Dinamo, not this current Dinamo because of Mami? and his dirty work, but I don't see why Dinamo is over rated at 1,15.. Stadium will not be filled, maybe 1000 people at most because Dinamo lost their public and because that terror is over everyone who don't agree with Mami? brothers.. So in this match Mamich Utd will maybe win but value is Žalgiris score a goal...

I think it's dangerous to say any team 'can't fail', but I do think Malmo could be decent value here - they tend to be very strong at home in the Swedish Allsvenskan, which is quite a class above the Latvian league.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July OK - I'm going for two EH handicap bets here, which I think are worth taking. I can see Malmo finishing the job in the home leg. Malmo -1 EH 1.9 Stake: 6 points Malmo -2 EH 3.5 Stake: 3 points Total stake: 9 points

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July

Partizan dinamo need to win for financal reasons' date=' should both win confortably. Aginst faroe and lithuanian sides[/quote'] Dinamo always needs to win at least the 2nd and 3rd qualifying round because the season would already be over if they don't qualify for Europe. The league is a walk in the park (we'll see how Rijeka does this season though) and all the interest is on Euro competitions. Financially the club is stable for number of years. The supercup match on Friday vs Rijeka is completely irrelevant because a) Rijeka and Zalgiris can't compare b)The CL match is about 100 times more important to Dinamo c) Dinamo will likely grow with each match considering they plan to peak around 4th qualy round and onwards. The defense does look shaky for now so Zalgiris scoring is a possibility, but I can see 3 in their net easily. Dinamo win is pretty big certainty and I would take -1.5 as well.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Not overly excited by much on this coupon. I like Malmo and they were the main one I was researching a bit more, they are back playing again after the mid-season mini break sitting in first place in the league, I'm a bit concerned though by the fact they have lost a few key players during the break - Pontus Jansson to Torino and Miiko Albornoz to Hannover. Their best player Molins will be missing, regular Simon Thern fractured a tibula at the weekend, they seem to have lost quite a few key players over the last 12 months and they don't really seem to have been replaced. Their recent home form is alright if unspectacular but with the league only just restarting can't read too much into that. As regulars will know though it can often be just as much about who they are facing, so how terrible are Ventspils? Recent results in Europe don't give too much indication, they beat Airbus on away goals over two legs in the Europa League last season before beating a side from Luxembourg and losing 4-1 to Maccabi Haifa on agg who did alright in the group stage. Latvian sides generally aren't very good..still thinking on this one. Legia Warsaw should be comfortable winners against St Pats who are having a poor season in Ireland. I was interested but the odds are fairly poor imo for everything of interest - handicaps, win to nil etc. I would want 1.75 for the handicap win and 1.9 for the win to nil neither of which I'm going to get by the looks of it.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Ludogorets - Dudelange I know Luxemburg teams have improved and Dudelange stunned RB Salzburg a few years ago, but I simply cannot see anything different than big Ludo win. It is not a bet about the Luxemburg champions, it is entirely about Ludogorets Razgrad. They are at the moment one of the strongest teams in the Balkans. They became champions for the third time in a row and this spring managed a 1/8 final for the Europa League. Now their ambition is to attack a place in Champions League and I think they have great chance to achieve this. For the past three years Ludogorets never sold a key player - they kept all their stars and continuously improved their team by buying new quality signings. Their last new signing was a right full-back (the only position they were vulnerable) from Primera Division for more than 1 million euros. So, you see that when a team from the Balkans buys a right back for such money, than they mean serious business. Ludo team is perfectly balanced in each area - great goal-keeper, solid defense, the best pair of holding midfielders in the league, great pace and trickery on the flanks, high class in attack in the face of their topscorer and Slovenia international Roman Beziak, a big squad and a lot of variety for each position. In the summer prep they won each game with big margin and ease, including a 4:2 win over Romanian champions Steaua (Ludo were leading 4:0 before they let two Romanian goals in the end). The most important reason is that this team simply takes every game seriously. There might be different reasons for this. It could be the fact that Ludo have practically two squads of players with equal class, which makes nobody in the team safe for their place, so they give their best in every match. It could be their owner - a self-obsessed and over-ambitious local oligarh who insists on winning every match and puts big pressure on his team. But the fact is that when Ludogorets are in shape, they are probably the safest dog to back in all of European leagues. They just never underestimate opponents and they play bad in the role of a big dog only when they are in a bad shape (usually happens to them in April/May when they are physically exhausted). In the beginning of the season they normally show their best games and I cannot see past a big Ludo win - 4-5 to nil. Ludo -2 EH @ 1.78 (Bwin)

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July About Malmo-Ventspils: I am not much of a follower of the Swedish league, but I am aware Malmo are very solid. But I happened to follow a bit the Latvia league this year, because of some bets, and I am familiar with Ventspils. The team had just recovered from a huge crisis - they were in win-less run of 7-8 games, which is tremendous for such a poor league like the Latvian, where half of the teams at least are amateur levels. Ventspils recorded two big wins against outsiders in the last 2 games and gave some indications they are out of the crisis, but it is a fact that most of the last two months they played incredibly crappy football.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Santa Coloma v Maccabi Tel Aviv I'll take Maccabi to win this one to nil, with a nice bit of cover for 0-0 too. Oscar Garcia the former manager has returned after one season with Brighton. He left Brighton because he didn't think the money was being invested to allow him to continue the good work he was doing and having watched Brighton quite a few times last season - my work gets free tickets - I can say he created a very organised side who were strong defensively and in midfield, traits he tried to impose upon Maccabi the first time around and I can't see that changing now. He has had the team training at Barcelona's La Masia training academy - he was a Barcelona coach and player - and they have been decent in the warm up games. I think it's unlikely they will get through to the group stage - partly because of the restriction on foreign players in Israel and Maccabi's financial problems - but they should come through this one with few difficulties, due to the political problems in Israel currently UEFA allowed them to switch the scheduling of the ties, so Maccabi will play the second leg at home instead. It's very likely they won't be able to play the second leg in Israel so expect it to be played in Cyprus or nearby. Maccabi dominate the league and won by about 20 points last season, they have some decent players in Prica the Swedish forward and star midfielder Zahavi, an experienced defence and goalkeeper, as I said above they do have some financial problems but the squad is pretty much the same as last season. It was a fairly big surprise to see Santa Coloma qualify for this stage after they beat Banants with their goalkeeper scoring the deciding goal with pretty much the last kick of the game, even though they lost 3:2 they went through on away goals, they will almost certainly lose this tie though as Maccabi are a big step up in quality. Santa Coloma have lost 7 of their 8 CL qualifiers and all of those have been against sides in the first qualifying round - the lowest of the low, this is their first time in the second qualifying round. They will be defensive and look to score from set pieces where possible, with the experience Maccabi have at the back I think they should be able to deal with any danger fairly comfortably. I would have this bet at about 1.5 so think the price is very good and worth taking. Both Teams to Score - No - 1.83 - ladbrokes - 10 Points

Yes those two wins were against the bottom and second-from-bottom teams so let's hope they're not recovered just yet.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July I'm gonna write my first post here now. Malmo is my team, they've sold Albornoz and Jansson, but Jansson is already replaced. Molins got injuried, but the team won with 3-0 at home last round. In the attack they have Marcus Rosenberg, who played for Werder Bremen, Ajax, WBA and so on, the other attacker was voted the best player in Allsvenskan last year and have played in Belgium as well. The quality is so much better in Malmo then the opponents. And when it comes to the homeground, Malmo is very very strong. I was there last year when we beat Glascow Rangers, and this game might end 3-0 or 4-0 to Malmo, but as people say, we could have had it better. Simon Thern got injuried in the week, (son to Jonas Thern who was captain of the WC squad 94 for Sweden). My thoughts here will be 3-0 or 4-0 to Malmo, they will surely give all in the first game here so they can play without preassure in the second game. I will go for -1.5, -2 AH and over 2.5 goals for Malmo here.

Santa Coloma's goalkeeperm Casals, doesn't sound particularly confident about tonight's game: "We will take whatever comes our way now," "We are realistic and know the difficulties we are about to face. "Having said that, we are not going to go into the tie with a defeatist attitude. Our plan is to compete to the best of our ability in both games and to make things as difficult as possible for our opponents while trying to get to the second leg with our chances still intact." http://www.uefa.com/uefachampionsleague/season=2015/matches/round=2000545/match=2014134/prematch/preview/index.html

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July Sheriff Win to nill @1,9 (local) The Moldavian side is two classes better and more organised than the Montenegrin. They have even a good bench, one of the best players from Serbian league, Tiago Galvao, has come also in Tiraspol. Sheriff have been pretty good in the qualifications in the previous years, unlike the Montenegrin sides. Sheriff is a serious team, Sutjeska will play very defensively like almost every Balkan side against stronger opponent away from home. Sutjeska has got only players from Montenegro, with the exception of two low quality Serbians and one Japanese.

Re: Champions League Second Qualifying Round 1st Leg - Tues 15th & Wed 16th July

Regarding Dinamo Zagreb..

About Santa Coloma-Macabi, I don't know if anyone already remarked this, but the game had to be played in Tel Aviv, but was moved to Andorra, because of the Gaza conflict. This means that with very high likelihood, the second leg will be on neutral venue, instead of Tel Aviv. This could affect to some extent MAcabi's attitude, as now they probably won't have any incentive to "decide everything on home soil".
