Club Friendlies 2014/2015

Re: Club Friendlies 2014

Bwin still have the Wolves game priced up at 1.91 even though everyone else has suspended the betting. I am pretty limited there but you can get some money on by doing a double with a near sure thing - i.e QPR double chance tonight at 1.01 - and they will let you repeat your stake.
The price is alot lower now as Bet365 have them at 1.73.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Kasimpasa playing Heladas in a few minutes. The league already started for the Hungarian side, I expect them to mix their squad a bit to keep fresh for 2nd round on weekend. Kasimpasa has been doing well so far in their friendlies to get ready for the new season (won 2 previous against lower Turkish sides) and I definitely see a value in them to beat that mediocore Hungarian side. AH -1 offered at 2+ (B365), worth a shot.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 There were a few that caught the eye once again although I'm making a few assumptions so much less confident. AFC Sudbury V Ipswich XI @ 1.80 - bet365. Staines Town V Swansea Under 21 @ 2.50. Weston Super Mare @ 2.25 - bet365 V Exeter. AFC Sudbury currently play in the Isthmian League Division One North, which is six tiers below Ipswich. Although this will be a very youthful Ipswich side that takes to the field they couldn't really be playing anyone lower in the league pyramid unless you go into the counties league etc... Sudbury lost at home to a youthful Cambridge United side on Friday, and have already been turned over by Norwich Under 21s in pre season. The Swans youth have had a good pre season and although they lost 3-1 to Bournemouth on Friday that is nothing to be shameful of as Bournemouth have been outstanding. Staines play in the Conference South and have already lost to Reading under 21 in pre season. Exeter had a poor loss to Torquay at the weekend and their troubles are well documented as they're currently unable to sign any new players. They also had to face up to several absentees against Torquay as well as a "sickness" bug that had kept a few players below par following on from their trip to Brazil. With the league set to start on Saturday I can't see Paul Tisdale risking too many first team players, and in fact, futbol 24 have this as an Exeter Under 21 side. Worth a stab as Weston Super Mare are conference South, only two leagues below Exeter so should be a decent match for a possibly depleted and/or youthful Exeter side.

Well they only lost 1-0 to Norwich. However ... looking at Sudbury's website. "The composition of the Ipswich Town side is not known. It will probably include a number of promising young players and some fringe first team squad members looking to impress." Also: "Ipswich's manager Mick McCarthy will be attending." http://www.afcsudbury.com/news/ipswich-town-at-the-wardale-williams-stadium-1264110.html The fact that the manager will be there makes me think Ipswich could be good value here at just under evens

Re: Club Friendlies 2014

Corners are the way to go in the Bayern Leverkausen game... They' date='ve had 10 in the first 35 minutes...Get on[/quote'] The superior team will often rack up corners as they chase the game. But corners can dry up as soon as they take the lead, or in the second half of a match.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Wolfsburg failed to win their game. Ended 1-1 bit dissapointing to be honest against a mixture side of ST gallen. Bet lost! Deportivo won comfortable with 2-0 both bets won. Leicester leading 2-0 so that's good so far. Leicester won their game 1-3. both bets won there too! Keep it up guys, going great so far!

Re: Club Friendlies 2014

A couple not yet mentioned have caught my eye today. Leverkusen are taking on amateur fifth division opposition in the form of SV Wuppertaler and hopefully it will be a bit of a blood bath. Leverkusen have had a pretty extensive pre-season so far, playing matches against the likes of Marseilles and Lokomotiv Moscow, along with the usual Asian tour matches. Nothing too impressive results wise, but they've racked up the minutes well enough. Given their fifth division status SV Wuppertaler's website doesn't heed much info on their pre-season antics. Their Facebook page states the Leverkusen are brining a full squad, and all the proceeds will be left for the home side. Hopefully it will be one of those charitable spankings. The default price/line is: -2.25 (AH) - 1.575. Nothing spectacular but it looks like this could be a battering, so I am taking it for 6 points, with a view to backing greater lines. The other that I am looking at is Getafe against Gimnastica Segoviana. Segoviana are a fourth tier Spanish side which, given how many leagues there are in Spain, is not great. Information about the club is scarce. Getafe look like they have had a decent pre-season though playing a handful of decent German sides - most recently beating Stuttgart 3-2. Again, there is not a great deal to say, the better side looks well prepared for this one and I'll be looking at asian lines once Bet365 release them, but HT/FT is an option at 1.66.
Not the blood bath that I wanted and a three point loss on Leverkusen in the end.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 5pts Dortmund (-1.75 AH) vs Slask Wroclaw @ 1.84 BetVictor Dortmund won their last friendly 10-0 and I think it's fair to say they are on a bit of run considering they have drawn 1 and won the other 4 pre-season friendlies (i.e. they have played 6 in total). Slask Wroclaw have already started their season having won 2 and lost 1 of their opening 3 games. With their next league game this coming Saturday, I find it really difficult to think that they will field a strong side. Hence, I see Dortmund running away with this game and winning by at least a 2 goal margin.

I was going to comment on this game too. Bet365 are offering the (-1.5,-2.0) AH which has gone from odds of 1.65 up to 1.83 in a matter of half an hour. Any reason there would be such a big shift?

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Stoke v Real Betis (7pm) Both sides are now well into their pre-season. Stoke are yet to pick up a win yet in their 5 pre-season friendlies however they have not looked half in some of the games and deserved more in their 2-1 loss to Schalke. Real Betis (now in the Spanish second tier) have had a good pre-season winning 5 of their 8 games, however most of these games have been against lower league Spanish teams although their only game against non Spanish opposition was a convincing 3-1 over Brighton. My play here is goals. Stoke are no longer the side of old where Pulis focused them on being hard to beat. They now have more flair under Hughes and tend to find the net alot easier, consequently they also concede in most games too. The addition on Bojan from Barcelona further improves their attack and he has scored in his last two friendlies and looks a very good buy for them. Stoke have conceaded in all but one of their friendly games with Burton Albion the only team to not find the back of Stoke's net. There has been an average of 4 goals per game in each of Real Betis' eight friendlies with BTTS yes landing in all but one. Although it is hard to match up the talents of the lower Spanish leagues I do feel that Betis showed against Brighton that they are strong going forward and I think they are more than capable of netting against a leaky Stoke defence while at the same time I don't think they have what it takes to keep Stoke out either. All in all I really fancy goals in this game from both sides and will be backing this quite heavily with the following bets: BTTS Yes @ 1.73 with Bet365 (6/10) Over 2.5 goals @ 1.78 with BetVictor (6/10) Over 3.5 goals @ 2.90 with BetVictor (3/10) Over 2.5 goals & BTTS @ 2.2 with Bet365 (4/10)

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Osasuna - Ath. Bilbao Athletic without 8 starters, visit Osasuna, who will play at Second Division next year. It's first game on home for Osasuna, and they won 0-4 at Brentford. Athletic probable starting lineup would be: Herrerín, Iraola, Gurpegi, Etxeita, Aurtenetxe, Erik Morán, San José, Galarreta, Sola, Ibai and Toquero. Iraizoz, Mikel Rico, Susaeta, Aduriz, Muniain, Laporte, Balenziaga and Iturraspe will not play. Athletic preparing the Champions League Qualification Round, and they lost the last match 2-0 at Toulouse, I'm taking Osasuna or draw @1,91 Bet365 with 2/10 points. Osasuna keeps the major part of the players who played at Primera División last year. Good luck.

Both those sides are at Regionaliga level, which is three below Bundesliga. Slask may be an average Polish side though.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 I was also looking at the price of Osasuna, clearly Bilbao is taking their foot off the gas. But still they have plenty of quality in their squad to win this game. Doubt that these 'sub' players are worse than Osasuna and they should be motivated to get a spot in the team. On the other hand Osasuna has something to proof here. Relegation is very bad for their club and they will need a good start to seek for instant promotion this year. Draw seems reasonable to me or indeed the double chance option on Osasuna. But a small win for Bilbao also wouldn't surprise me. I'll skip this one, if Bilbao's line-up is weaker than I think it will be, I might bet live not sure yet. A few others caught my eye today especially Atletico madrid and Werder Bremen.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Everton v Celta Vigo Everton 10/11 William Hill Celta Vigo drew 2-2 last night with Burnley and now play Everton tonight, this will be their 4th game in 6 days. Last night they made 10 change's at half time. Hoping the schedule of the last few days for Celta Vigo will catch up on them and Everton will be the fresher team. Match will be played at Tranmere Rovers' Prenton Park .

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Galatasaray vs Atletico madrid tonight in the Ataturk Stadium in Izmir, neutral venue. The entire revenue of the match will be donated to the families of Soma mine victims. That's the only thing that worries me though, might be too friendly and end in a draw but if we just look at the facts and team news, Atletico should rip them apart. Both are not having a great pre-season so far, Galatasaray lost their last game against Rapid Wien with 3-1 while they played with their strongest available line-up. Another friendly against Honved which they won 1-2 also wirth their strongest live-up but can't find anything about Honven? Seems like a unkown poor team to me. All in all surely not convincing, now tonight might be another story cause Galatasaray could fire themselves up for this clash against Atletico. But for me, Atletico is two classes above Galatasaray, defensively, in midfield and in attack. They've lost Costa and Luiz yes and ofcourse Courtouis what might be their biggest blow, but kept all of their other key players and signed some great new ones. Mandzukic, Sequira, Griezmann and goalie Oblak. Defensively so rock solid, Galatasaray lost Drogba ofcourse and Sneijder is probably not included in their squad so offensively they will lack firepower for sure. I like Emre though and Yilmaz on a good day can score a few but not against Atletico. Atletico played 3 friendlies so far, a 0-1 win against Numancia, 0-0 against San Jose Earth and another 0-0 draw against America. No goals conceded yet and the squad that travelled to Turkey is very strong. Moya, Bounou, Godin, Siquera, Miranda, Gimenez, Juanfran, Insua, Ansaldi, Mario Suarez, Tiago, Koke, Raul Garcia, Arda, Gabi, Saul, Mandzukic, Leo Baptistao, Hector y Lucas. Confident Simeone will field a strong side cause it's the last real test for Atletico before they play Real for the Super Cup. Only a friendly against Cadiz next week between these games. Simeone has to change his squad in several positions but especially their midfield stays intact and Siquera is a great sub for Luiz so their defense won't be weaker either imo. Upfront yes, Costa was a beast but failed miserably in my eyes when it really mattered. Never saw him in any of their last CL games and also in the WC he failed badly. Ofcourse he scored a lot of goals for Atletico overall and was very important with his presence but I think Mandzukic is surely not a downgrade. With Koke and Arda on the wings this can be a deadly formula. Just can't think of Atletico not winning this one, like I said class difference is huge and Galatasaray without Sneijder and Drogba still needs time to impress me and others. Odds for an Atletico win are fine around 2.10 and I will back them for 4/10 stakes. Only thing that worries me is the friendly aproach for this game but like I said, last real test for Simeone and his men and they should beat this Turkish side comfortable. Goodluck.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Slask - Dortmund should be a goal fest I'm from Wroclaw and I can tell there is some sort of excitement about this game - the stadium will be almost fully packed (35 000 tickets sold already) and both sides are said to field strong lineups. For Dortmund it will be another test before the German Super Cup, while for Slask 'a game in which they want to see how far they are from the Europe's elite', as expressed by one of the Slask best players in a newspaper interview. He also talked about Slask's previous meeting with German opponents (Hannover, 2 years ago, the tie ended 4-10 in favor of the Germans over 2 legs) and said that in football you have to be prepared for an embarassment (reflecting on Dortmund's 10-0 win against Rapperswil) and that they won't be beating themselves too much if they lose by a huge margin. Slask is not paricularly good in defence, as their recent results show, and Dortmund was also conceding in friendlies themselves. This should be an attractive football match. >3.5 goals @1.975 10/10 points >5.0 asian goals @4.1 3/10 points >3.0 asian goals HT @7.2 1/10 points all with bet365

Celta de Vigo played a lot yes, they changed their whole team at half-time and I expect the same thing against Everton. Last game Everton drew 0-0 with Porto, they played with and against a fairly strong line-up so the 0-0 is a positive result. Everton haven't really impressed result wise so this might be a good chance for them to get their first victory in pre-season. I expect changes in both sides but Everton should have the advantage in my eyes, playing in England, the better support for sure and a wide squad with some new great signings especially Besic. Only positive sounds from their camp, a great testimonial for Osman last week for his 11 years of service so far. Martinez stated " Besic and Barkley will be giving a greater role in this game, they've played 45 minutes against Porto and it's important these players start looking at the 90th minute mark and ohers will just try to increase the intensity during the time they are on the pitch". This indicates he will field a strong side and I see Everton as winners here. Everton to win 4/10 stakes.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 No Senk, last game they did not play 0-0 with Porto, it was 1-1. I can remember this match from Sunday very well, because I posted it here as a live pick to take Porto -0.5 after HT (Everton was leading 1-0) and Porto was the better side and made it 1-1 at the end.

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Senk, what about Werder Bremen? It starts in half an hour. As Seen from previous results, they had quite excellent preseason matches, haven't lost the last 5. The last time they have beaten Chelsea 3:0, three days ago. Do you have any info about the line-ups etc.? Cheers

Start11 vs. @Hannover96: Wolf, Busch, Hüsing, Caldirola, Garcia, Kroos, Gebre Selassie, Makiadi, Obraniak, Hajrovic, Petersen. #SVWH96 A quick comparison with the team that played vs Chelsea at: http://uk.soccerway.com/matches/2014/08/03/world/club-friendlies/sv-werder-bremen/chelsea-football-club/1695091/ It seem like 3 or 4 that started that game are playing from the get-go whereas the other 7 or 8 are those who were subbed on at 60 min mark. Looks to be a very strong team to me. 4pts Werder Bremen to win @ 2.38 StanJames

Re: Club Friendlies 2014 Yes I do, Bremen indeed has a very good pre-season so far and today they host Hannover 96 in their own stadium. Werder Bremen line-up : Wolf, Gabre selassie, Garcia, Caldirola, Husing, Busch, Kroos, Makiadi, Obrianak, Hajrovic, Peterson. A few changes in their team compared to the Chelsea game but still a competitive side. Others are on the bench so enough quality there too. Odds are 2.30 at the moment and I just took them for some stakes. Hannover 96 just arrived so only half an hour before kick-off, weird though. Hope they take this the soft way. :D Hannover 96 line-up : Zieler, Andreasen, Sakai, Prib, Schmiedebach, Stindl, Joselu, Schulz, Pander, Marcelo, Bittencourt. Not bad either so I think it will be tight and goals to come for sure! Let's say 2-1 for Bremen sounds nice, goodluck.
