Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Martin Klizan to win ATP Eastbourne for a 1/10 stake at 41.00 with Pinnacle Back Gilles Simon to win ATP Eastbourne for a 1/10 stake at 17.00 with Pinnacle Can't see why the two couldn't go well this week and I quite like the prices as well. Richard Gasquet looks like a very vulnerable favorite, so chances are that someone else is going to win the trophy this week. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Nicolas Mahut to win ATP Hertogenbosch for a 1/10 stake at 13.00 with Pinnacle Back Dmitry Tursunov to win ATP Hertogenbosch for a 1/10 stake at 13.00 with Pinnacle Both have done well in Hertogenbosch previously and there's only one big name - David Ferrer - in the draw, so I am happy to have a punt on them winning in the Netherlands this week. There isn't anyone else in the line-up who I'd fancy and the odds for the Spaniard look awfully short, so I can see no value in backing him, especially given the fast conditions. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Ekaterina Makarova to win WTA Eastbourne for a 1/10 stake at 17.00 with Pinnacle Back Tsvetana Pironkova to win WTA Eastbourne for a 1/10 stake at 26.00 with Pinnacle Just these two punts from the women's tournaments. With the Grand Slam just around the corner, I believe that we might see one of the less-fancied names take the trophy in Eastbourne this week. Makarova and Pironkova are well-known for being able to play surprisingly well on grass, so, given that they aren't going to care about the Grand Slam as much as many of the bigger names, I quite like their chances of doing well in the next couple of days. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back James Ward to beat Donald Young at 2.20 with Stan James Ward played 3 matches on grass recently, while his opponent did not play a single match since his Roland Garros exit. The Brittish guy has a decent play on this surface, while Young might need some time to adapt. Back Yen-Hsun Lu to beat Julien Benneteau at 2.13 with Pinnacle The frenchman does not have a great season so far, and had to move back a level to regain his confidence (won a challenger tourney in Bordeaux on clay), but since then nothing special. A first round exit in Nice and the Roland Garros as well does not look good at all, even if he won the doubles in Paris with Roger-Vasselin. Lu on the other hand started his grass court season well, but retired against Federer in Halle before the match started. I think he should be ok by this time, and if this is the case I am more than happy to back him to win. Back Tsvetana Pironkova to beat Heather Watson at 2.32 with Pinnacle The pricess of grass courts is back. Pironkova did not play a match since exiting the French Open and this indeed might be a disadvantage. She had an awful season on clay (as expected), but at this point she should switch up the gear. Watson exited the Birmingham tourney right in the first round, so she does not have a huge advantage over the Bulgarian in terms of adapting to the new surface. Their H2H stats shows 2-2, but at these odds it really worth backing Pironkova to move to the next round.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Anyone else fancy Tomlajovic over Schivone in uk qualifying. She beat Francesca on her fav playing surface last month 3 and 3, is certainly the one of the two whose ascending while schi is descending toward her last days as a competitive singles player. I'm just surprised by both the line and that it's only moved opposite direction id be expecting.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back I.Sijsling/T.de Bakker - Over 22.5 games for a 7/10 stake at 2.00 with Bet365 Neither of the two is playing well enough to dominate the proceedings in my opinion, so I expect this to be a match full of big serves and easy holds. Throw in the fast Hertogenbosch conditions and I think that there's every chance that this match is indeed going to go over the 22.5 games line. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Andrey Golubev (+1.5 sets) to beat Bernard Tomic for a 7/10 stake at 1.99 with Pinnacle Andrey Golubev hasn't played on grass for quite some time now, but he's having a superb season and his playing style isn't particularly defensive or anything, so I can definitely see him taking a set off Bernard Tomic today, especially since the Australian didn't look all that special in Queen's last week. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Samantha Stosur (-3.5) to beat Caroline Wozniacki for a 7/10 stake at 2.00 with Bet365 Can't see past Stosur here to be honest, since Wozniacki seems to be in no position to do well in the grass court swing. Despite losing against Dellacqua in Birmingham, the Australian was playing quite well last week, so I expect her to beat Wozniacki with minimal fuss today. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Camila Giorgi to beat Viktoria Azarenka for a 7/10 stake at 2.71 with Pinnacle Worth a punt I'd say. Comeback matches are never easy and Giorgi will make Azarenka run a lot with her powerful shots, so chances are that she'll be in for a really tough test in more than one way, which makes me think that there's some value in backing the Italian at such a juicy price. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Edouard Roger-Vasselin (-2.5) to beat Andrey Kuznetsov for a 7/10 stake at 1.80 with Unibet I like the look of this handicap line, as Andrey Kuznetsov rarely gets the job done against established ATP-level players. Roger-Vasselin has a 2-0 record against the Russian and he played well in Queen's last week, so I expect him to cover this handicap line more often than not here. Re: June 16 - June 22 (Wimbledon qualies) Back Oliver Golding to beat Marco Chiudinelli at 2.60 with MarathonBet This is a 50-50 match in my opinion, therefore I'm happy to back Golding to win at these odds. He produced one of the biggest surprises during the first round of qualifications yesterday by beating Gojowczyk in straight sets. The Swiss played a single match on grass recently, when he lost in Halle against Santiago Gonzalez. (Wimbledon qualies) Back Vincent Millot to beat Malek Jaziri at 2.40 with Unibet This is another 50-50 match for me, so the odds are on our side. H2H stats 3-0 in favor of the Frenchman, albeit all of these were played on clay and a long time ago. Back Camila Giorgi (+1.5 sets) to beat Viktoria Azarenka at 1.81 with Pinnacle Totally agreed with CzechPunter on this, but I'm not so brave, therefore I'm going to back the Italian to win at least one set.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Madison Keys to beat Jelena Jankovic for a 7/10 stake at 3.25 with Bet365 Grass has never been the favorite surface of Jelena Jankovic and she almost never does well in the smaller pre-Grand Slam tournaments, so this looks like a price worth taking to me, especially since Madison Keys is good enough to play an even match against the Serb anyway. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Johanna Konta to beat Camila Giorgi for a 6/10 stake at 3.25 with Bet365 Camila Giorgi did well to beat Viktoria Azarenka on Tuesday, but Konta looks like a very tricky match-up for her, so I am happy to go against her at such a good price. The Brit seems to be playing well on grass and her current form looks rather solid as well, so I expect her to have a real shot at making it through to the third round in Eastbourne. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Caroline Wozniacki (-2.5) to beat Sloane Stephens for a 7/10 stake at 1.92 with Pinnacle Wozniacki has a 4-0 record against Stephens and that actually translates to 8-0 in terms of sets, so chances are that we're going to see yet another easy victory for the Dane, especially since the American hasn't looked all that great recently. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Jie Zheng (+1.5 sets) to beat Carla Suarez Navarro at 2.10 with Tipico The Chinese lady does like grass courts, she almost beat Serena in Wimbledon last year. On the other side, being rather a clay court specialist, Suarez Navarro adapts well to other surfaces as well. She beat Zahlavova comfortably in the first round, but that might be down to the fact she faced an exhausted opponent in the Czech. Zheng started well here, beating Puig in straight sets, and in my opinion at least another set should be on the cards for her.

Re: June 16 - June 22

She was probably just out-played by Watson' date=' nothing extremely surprising there really. It was never an easy match to begin with, after all.[/quote'] I thought you tipped her to win the tournament though? Surely it must be surprising if she loses her first match?

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Flavia Pennetta (-3) to beat Heather Watson for a 7/10 stake at 1.87 with Pinnacle Flavia Pennetta seems to be enjoying herself in Eastbourne, doing well both in the singles and the doubles, so I expect her to beat Heather Watson with something to spare. The Brit is a decent player, of course, but she still usually tends to fail when up against established WTA-level players and that's exactly what she's going to face today. Re: June 16 - June 22

Slightly, yes, but nothing more than that. Pironkova is one of those hit or miss players that can win tournaments when they find the right rhythm (like Stakhovsky on the men's tour, for example), but that can also lose in the very first round when they don't manage to do that. The latter is what happened here.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Jeremy Chardy (+1.5 sets) to beat Feliciano Lopez at 1.75 with Pinnacle Back Jeremy Chardy to beat Feliciano Lopez at 3.05 with Marathonbet This looks risky, but let me add some reasoning. Yes, Lopez is on a hot streak, almost won the tourney in London last week, playing some great tennis. His opponents barely troubled his service game and were able to take away sets only in tie-breaks. But at this point there might be some signs of tiredness, and indeed, he had to come back twice today against Kamke, who was in front with a break in both sets. It worth to mention that the Spaniard is the current title holder in Eastbourne, so he needs to defend the points earned last year, but I think Chardy might be well able to trouble him. His huge service game does not need any introduction, and he started pretty well this week, winning is straight sets against Karlovic and Berlocq. Their H2H stats shows 2-2, in my opinion it well worth to back the Frenchman to win at these odds.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Tim Puetz to beat Márton Fucsovics at 2.30 with Unibet I am going against my compatriot here, albeit would love to finally see him on the big stage... but so far he always failed in front of the big opportunity. He improved since then, but I think he still has to wait a bit more to see his name on the main table of a grand slam.

Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Caroline Wozniacki (-3) to beat Camila Giorgi for a 7/10 stake at 1.92 with Pinnacle Wozniacki has been playing really well so far in Eastbourne, so I expect her to record yet another solid victory on Thursday, especially since Giorgi didn't look all that great against Johanna Konta. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Joao Sousa (-1.5) to beat Thiemo de Bakker for a 7/10 stake at 1.92 with Unibet I might be missing something here, but Joao Sousa seems to be playing a level above Thiemo de Bakker these days, so I am going to back him to cover this minuscule handicap line. In my opinion, the home conditions are the only thing that speaks in the Dutchman's favor here - and that simply shouldn't be enough for him to beat the man from Portugal. Re: June 16 - June 22 Back Lauren Davis to beat Madison Keys for a 7/10 stake at 2.34 with Pinnacle Lauren Davis has been superb on grass so far this season, so I quite like the look of her at odds against. Madison Keys might have beaten Jelena Jankovic in the first round, but that result needs to be taken with a grain of salt and she's done very little apart from that, so chances are that she's not going to have it easy against her compatriot today. Re: June 16 - June 22 Hsieh/Babos to defeat Errani/Vinci at 3.00 with Bet365 It is not sensible to price Hsieh, the world number 1 in doubles as the clear underdog. Hsieh's partner is not Peng in Eastbourne, but Babos seems to be good enough at baseline because they stormed into the second round by losing only 3 games. On the other hand, Errani/Vinci are not that good on grass, and they struggled in the first round against Jankovic/Schiavone, so I think there is much value backing Hsieh/Babos at this price.
