Re: Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 With Suarez at the exit door, I can see the top scorer getting around 20-23 goals. Aguero, Van Persie, Sturridge and Costa are all very short. Surprisingly Rooney can be had for 16/1 which screams out value to me. Those odds imply Rooney has a 5.88 chance to bag the outright, anyone who thinks he has a better chance should bet on him. Wayne Rooney 16/1 @Stan James

Re: Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 Edin Dzeko E/W To Be Top Goalscorer 20/1 @ William Hill - Alvaro Negredo is out injured for a few months so Dzeko is likely to get more playing time. He scored 16 goals in 31 league games last season although quite a few of them appearances were from the bench. In his time in the Premier League over the last 3 seasons he has scored 14, 14 and 16 goals so he is certainly consistent. His record of scoring a goal every 134 minutes in the Premier League over the last 3 years is one of the best and Negredo's injury should see him get more starts this season. Wilfried Bony E/W To Be Top Goalscorer 28/1 @ Bet365 - Bony scored 17 goals in the league last season in 34 games and altogether managed 26 goals in 48 games in all competitions, a record which is better than 1 in 2. If they can stay injury-free then the top goalscorer will be Aguero or Van Persie in my opinion. However, Aguero has had a lot of injuries lately and Van Persie had a long-term injury last season and is known for being injury prone so i wouldn't be surprised if they both picked up injuries and were out for a couple of months next season. I'm not sure Sturridge will do quite as well next season with no Suarez to link up with him. Diego Costa may take time to adjust to the league and may take a season to adjust, likewise with Sanchez. Therefore, you could make a case against all of the top 5 in the betting and i see no reason why Bony can't finish near the top goalscorer position especially now he has had a season of Premier League experience under his belt. He is being linked with Liverpool and Tottenham which would make this a stronger bet if he moved to one of them clubs with better players providing for him. To be honest i think the top goalscorer will be either Aguero or Van Persie if they stay fit but there is not much value backing them at 4/1 and 5/1 respectively. For me one of the best value bets in the market is Bony. Stevan Jovetic E/W to be Top Goalscorer 100/1 @ Bet Victor One of the players who i was impressed with last season and i think will have a great season this time is Jovetic. He barely played mainly because of injury, managing only just over 600 minutes in all competitions but he really impressed me. Although he is not an out and out sriker he still managed a goal every 101 minutes in all competitions and if Pellegrini gives him a starting role next season behind Aguero or as a left winger then he can flourish. It is unlikely both him and Dzeko will get a starting role with Aguero also in the side but if he does then a place in the top 4 of goalscorers list is not beyond his reach.

Re: Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 Robin Van Persie @ 6 Bet365 I know he might seem short but to me Van Persie still looks to be good value. He's achieved this feat twice in the past three seasons and of course the one time was by Suarez who has been sold. The other big factor is of course Louis Van Gaal. Van Gaal knows and loves Van Persie so I see no danger that Rooney would play up top instead. Van Persie scored 18 goals under Van Gaal for Holland over a 2 year period, scoring 11 in WC Qualifying and 4 in the WC Finals. This is a significant increase on his overall international strike rate and it's clear to me that he prospers under Van Gaal's 4-3-3 system, which I suspect will be used again at Old Trafford. Furthermore, we saw Luis Suarez fill his boots last season with hat-tricks against lowly teams Cardiff, Norwich and WBA. With Man Utd having no European participation this year there is really only the league to focus on. As such I expect Van Persie to be seldom rested and to play more games against these inferior teams than his golden boot rivals such as Sturridge and Aguero. Injury is of course the big concern but he's played all 38 games in 2 of the past 3 seasons for United and as noted earlier he top scored in both of those seasons.

Re: Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 Sturridge looks a good shout. He'll be the focal point of Liverpool's attack and to be honest if he can stay fit for enough games (which is a question, his injury record is not encouraging) I can't see him getting less than 20 goals. THFC84 raised the point of him coping without Suarez but over the length of Suarez's ban for biting Ivanovic (5 games in 2012/13, 5 in 2013/14, I believe) he scored 11 goals in 10 games so if anything he thrives on the pressure.

Re: Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 1pt ew E.Dzeko Top Goalscorer 18/1 Paddy Power (1/4 1-4) Edin Dzeko helped himself to 16 league goals last season despite starting the season in and out of the side thanks to the form of Alvaro Negredo but the Spaniard is out for the first part of the season so the Bosnian will get his chance to shine from the start and if he can continue where he left off last season then he shouldn’t be too far away at the end of the campaign. City score a lot of goals and have some wonderful creative players creating for their forwards so at 18/1 Dzeko could be the one to land the Golden Boot at a fair price here. Ante-Post > Premier League Top Goalscorer 2014/15 Guys, before I do anything daft & lump on, what is wrong with 6/1 for Saido Berahino to be top English goalscorer, 1/4 odds 1-3, with BetVictor? Looks like a bet to nothing to me, scoring for fun. 6 so far and counting... Rooney is 2/1, Wellbeck 9/4, Sturridge 5/1, Sterling 8/1, 25/1 bar. Thoughts? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Given the fact he could be bought in January, provided it is a bigger PL team that buys him, he seems to have a good shout mate. Welbeck @ 9/4 is a poor price, I think Sturridge will score plenty when he comes back too.

Agree about Sturridge, but by the time he comes back he could be nearing a double figure hcp to Saido. B365 go 8/1 for him to score 20+ goals, but if he achieves that this bet lands for sure or certainly the ew. He is certainly on fire at the mo, but the moment I part with my hard earned dough... When you have a player hungry and trying to prove a point, you are always going to have a good shout. Berahino has England aspirations, he scored a lovely goal v United on Monday, if anything I think he only gets better, he just turned 21 so the world is his oyster. With 3 places you can't go wrong mate.
