Re: The Dafabet Masters Tournament preview: 1pt ew J.Higgins to win The Masters 50/1 Skybet (1/2 1-2) John Higgins hasn’t done a huge amount for a while but big players come alive on the big stages and few stages are bigger than this one. It was interesting in the UK Championship that he mentioned a couple of Scottish friends had noticed a flaw in his game which he then put right and he looked a lot better in that tournament, and the European Tour event which followed it. You don’t get easy draws in The Masters but if there is an easier one then Higgins might just have it even though every match will be competitive so at a stupidly big price and with relatively low expectation the two time Masters champion could complete a hat trick of titles this week. Re: The Dafabet Masters Sunday previews: 4pts M.Selby vs S.Murphy - Over 9.5 frames 21/20 Coral I think this opening match of the tournament will be pretty tight. The two are good friends and will know each other very well which I always thinks makes for a tighter match. They might also raise their game against each other too. They’ve played here twice in the past with a win apiece so there isn’t a clear advantage either way. Both fight hard in matches so I’m expecting a close battle to kick off with. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/selby-vs-murphy-betting-opening-match-of-the-tournament-looks-likely-to-be-tight 4pts S.Bingham vs M.Fu - Over 9.5 frames 11/10 Paddy Power I think this will another close match. Unlike the first game of the day I fancy plenty of one visit frames in this match because they both have the competence in the safety game to create their own chances and then they both fill their boots when the chances come along. Both have plenty of experience in these big matches too which helps so this one should go ten frames if not the distance. Re: The Dafabet Masters Monday previews: 3pts S.Maguire to beat J.Trump 2/1 Ladbrokes I think we’re in for a great match here. These two usually produce good matches and Trump’s aggressive style seems to bring out the best in Maguire. I don’t know whether he raises his game for Trump or whether his personality is such that when someone attacks him he fights fire with fire but whatever it is he really does have a good record against the Englishman, a record which he’s good value to extend here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/trump-vs-maguire-betting-maguire-looks-good-value-to-make-the-quarter-final 4pts N.Robertson vs R.Milkins - Over 8.75 frames (AH) 1.77 Bet365 You would expect Robertson to win this match but he is notoriously under par in first round matches and if he plays to form here then Milkins can at least trouble him in this match. Robertson pulled out of the Championship League in midweek citing an illness so he may not be feeling 100% which further helps Milkins out so I’m expecting this one to turn out to be a little closer than it looks on bare statistics. Re: The Dafabet Masters Tuesday previews: 4pts R.O'Sullivan vs R.Walden - Over 1.5 centuries 11/8 Bet365 If O’Sullivan is on song this could be over pretty quickly. I hope for Walden that isn’t the case but you have to think it could be. One thing I like in this match is the idea of centuries. Walden can fill his boots when the chance comes along but with Ronnie only three tons short of the record I fancy him to make a real effort to break that this week. Don’t be surprised if two of them come here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/o-sullivan-vs-walden-betting-ronnie-could-go-looking-for-centuries-in-first-round-match 4pts B.Hawkins (-1.5 frames) to beat A.Carter 17/20 Boylesports Romantics and fairytale lovers would love Ali Carter to come through this match and what a story it would be if he could but sadly I think this could be a step too far for him. With Hawkins’ record in recent BBC tournaments Carter could do a lot worse than let him get into a big lead and let him panic but I don’t think that will be the case here. I think Hawkins will be motivated to make up for letting those leads slip and can avoid a repeat here. Re: The Dafabet Masters 3pts Over 9.5 frames [J.Trump Vs S.Maguire] 6/5 PaddyPower Id expect this one to be a quite closely run match. Trump for me will be the only one who may push Ronnie for the title this week. Judd leads the last 5 head-2-heads 3-2 so can see it has been close in the past. Last main event they played in really being the UK Championships where Judd came out on top 6-4 and I'd expect a similar scoreline here. 3pts N.Robertson -2.5 frame (to beat R.Milkins) 10/11 Boylesports I think Robertson should have a decent tournament this week and I just cannot see Milkins threatening too much. You only have to look at the previous 3 matches to see Neil's dominance in the fixture (5-2 win, 4-1 win, 6-2 win) and indeed Milkins has only beaten Neil once in the 5 times they have played. I see a 6-3 at worst here.

Re: The Dafabet Masters I don't think I've ever seen Maguire play as bad as them first few frames. He Had a few kicks but just all over the place when on the table. Did amazingly well to come out of that first session 2-2. *Think i could give Robertson a game tonight.

Re: The Dafabet Masters Great tipping Kev, Thank god I haven't got to watch the rest of that match. Hopefully Neil gets what he deserves and loses. 4pts Over 1.5 Centuries (R. O'Sullivan Vs R.Walden) 11/8 Bet365 Few dodgy first round matches definitely puts me off any sort of handicap bet here but I do think Ronnie should get atleast 1 century. Walden is also good in the balls so I like this price on there being atleast 2. 2pts A.Carter to beat B.Hawkins 7/4 BetVictor Ali has won the last 8 in a row in this match-up so I'm abit mythed with the odds? I suppose it must just be on form but I'll most certainly be taking this bet. Let's hope tomorrow has some better quality than tonight

Re: The Dafabet Masters 2pts J.Higgins to beat M.Allen 6/4 Bet365 Allen has a good recent record against Higgins winning the last three but Higgins is always hard to beat and he did alright last year beating Bingham 6-2 and then going out in the Quarters to a deciding frame against Selby. Should be a close one. 2.5pts (Over 9.5 frames) D.Junhui Vs J.Perry 13/10 Coral 2pts J.Perry to win 9/4 Coral Again Ding has a good record against Perry winning previous few but they have been closer than you'd expect. He beat Joe 4-3 in the Asian tour and 6-4 in the Welsh Open but Joe has the capabilities. He has beaten Ding 5-1 in the past in 2013. Both these went out in the first round last year but both also went over 9.5 frames.

Re: The Dafabet Masters Wednesday previews: 4pts M.Allen vs J.Higgins - Over 9.5 frames 11/10 Coral This really should be a tight match because they are both good all round players. Allen probably has the edge in the scoring phase of the game although Higgins can certainly put chances away still while Higgins probably edges it in the safety department so they are well matches for a tight battle and that is exactly what I think we’ll get. It would be a surprise to me if either of these win easier than 6-4. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/allen-vs-higgins-betting-two-good-all-round-players-should-be-tough-to-separate 3pts J.Perry to beat D.Junhui 9/4 Ladbrokes One of these two will make their own personal piece of history in this match with one of them finally guaranteed to get an Alexandra Palace win beside their name. Neither have been in the best form this season. Perry did make the final of the Wuxi Classic at the start of the campaign while Ding has been pretty ordinary throughout so even though Perry has been quiet in recent times he’s shown enough to offer good value here. Re: The Dafabet Masters Thursday QF previews: 4pts R.O'Sullivan vs M.Fu - Over 1.5 centuries 6/5 Bet365 These two accounted for five of the centuries in the tournament to date in their first round wins and I would imagine we will see some more in this match. O’Sullivan is now just one ton away from breaking Hendry’s record for the most centuries so I’m sure he’ll be going all out to bag one here. Fu showed in the first round that he can dish up when he gets in too so over 1.5 centuries has to be a runner here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/o-sullivan-vs-fu-betting-these-two-can-bang-in-a-couple-more-centuries-in-this-match 4pts A.Carter vs N.Robertson - Over 9.5 frames 5/4 Paddy Power In many ways this match is all about Ali Carter. If he can back up his performance from the first round then he is entitled to, and will, push Robertson close if not beat the Australian. If he can’t back up that performance with another, and given everything he has been through there is no guarantee that he will, then you would expect Robertson to come through with a bit in hand. You get the feeling snooker is a bonus for Carter at the minute though and with this tournament on his doorstep there is enough in his favour to produce another performance so over 9.5 frames looks good to me. Re: The Dafabet Masters 3pts Over 1.5 Centuries (R.O'Sullivan Vs M.Fu) 6/5 Bet365 Heard yesterday O'Sullivan mentioning the century record and him saying he wanted to beat it so it's in his mind. He has already drawn it and could of had 1 or 2 more in the last match. He should win this match comfortably and this price seems a good one really as I'd say this was more a 10/11 shot. 2pts A.Carter to beat N.Robertson 9/4 Ladbrokes Pure value call here. It really depends on what Neil turns up. If it's anything like the first 8 frames in the last round then Carter can win. I think Robbo will turn it up though from here on in and he even said himself that he can grow into competitions after struggling in Round 1.

Re: The Dafabet Masters Friday QF previews: 4pts J.Perry vs M.Allen - Over 9.5 frames 6/5 Paddy Power This should be another close match at The Masters. Perry actually has three wins over Allen in their last four meetings and with his first ever win in this tournament in the first round he shouldn’t be lacking in belief. Mark Allen looked in excellent form in the first round and there’s nothing to suggest he won’t play well here either so I’m expecting yet another match in this wonderful tournament that goes over 9.5 frames. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/perry-vs-allen-betting-quarter-final-battle-to-be-another-to-go-close 4pts S.Maguire to beat S.Murphy 6/5 Betfred If we ignore the first four frames against Trump where Maguire couldn’t seem to settle he looks to be in great form at the minute and given the history between these two we know the Scot will be well up for the battle here. I didn’t think a lot to Murphy in the opening round and if he doesn’t find his scoring boots he could struggle here. It is Maguire for me in this one. Re: The Dafabet Masters 4pts M.Allen -1.5 to beat J.Perry 3/4 Boylesports 2.5pts M.Allen -2.5 to beat J.Perry 7/5 Betfair Allen impressed me in the last round where Higgins should of won really. Higgins led 2-0 and should of led 3-1, if not 4-0 in the first session but Allen came back and ground out a good win. Perry was gifted the match by an awful Ding and although he played well he made some mistakes and a better player will test Perry. Perry leads the head-2-heads but I feel Allen will win here 6-3 / 6-4. 2.5pts S.Maguire to beat S.Murphy 6/5 StanJames Standard call really. Good value on this where Maguire has won 3 of the last 5. He was dodgy in the first few frames in his last match but improved alot toward the end. Murphy was gifted alot of his match with Selby being so poor but fell over the line at 5-5 leading 5-1. Maguire for value.

Re: The Dafabet Masters 1st semi final preview: 4pts R.O'Sullivan vs N.Robertson - Over 9.5 frames 23/20 Coral I really think this could be a corker of a match. You get the feeling Robertson is up for the challenge here and if he is I’m sure that will bring the best out of Ronnie so we should be in for a treat. If both play well I only see this one being close and at odds against over 9.5 frames has to be the call in this star studded battle. Re: The Dafabet Masters 2nd semi final preview: 4pts M.Allen vs S.Murphy - Over 9.5 frames 11/10 Paddy Power Matches between these two tend to be pretty tight and given the occasion and what is at stake I expect this to be another one of those. None of their last five matches have been won by more than two frames so history says this will be a tight match too. Allen was awful in the last round but he knows he can’t play no worse. At the very least he fights hard in every match and that can see this one remain tight no matter who eventually prevails. Re: The Dafabet Masters 3pts S.Murphy -2.5 frames to beat M.Allen 15/8 Boylesports Allen just doesn't seem consistent enough this week and it seems he is waiting to lose. Murphy looked alot better in his last match and I think he should win here 6-3 or better. Murphy generally wins this match-up and although it's been close in alot of those I think Murphy is cueing with far more confidence.

Re: The Dafabet Masters 3pts N.Robertson -2.5 frames to beat S.Murphy 5/4 PaddyPower Fancy Robbo to win this about 10-6 maybe 10-7 so I'll take this handicap bet. Largely impressive against Ronnie and stopped him playing to the point that when he got to the baize he missed alot. Murphy took a few frames to get into it and then racked up 6 in a row to beat Allen but I think Robertson will be a different animal. Seems to be really performing right now to warrant his "Number 1" spot.

Re: The Dafabet Masters Final preview: 4pts N.Robertson vs S.Murphy - Over 16.5 frames 4/5 Ladbrokes Robertson won the 2012 final 10-6 but I fancy this one might be a shade closer. Murphy seems to really believe at the minute and his scoring is emphatic too. Robertson has been brilliant this week as well so I am expecting a high quality final with a lot of frames likely to be won in one visit. The way both men get in from distance and get the balls open I’m expecting a lot of big breaks and plenty of frames in this final.
