Re: French Open 2014 Men's out rights I can't look past Novak Djokavic. He is the only player I would fancy to beat Nadal over 5 sets on clay. Djokavic defiantly has the game to do it and if he wins then he completes a career slam. Defiantly expecting a Nadal v Djokavic final.

Re: French Open 2014 Hey folks, I know that most of you don't agree with this type of betting, but so far it was profitable for me to bet a larger (than usual) amount on favorites in the first 1-2 rounds of grand slams. Now I would like to ask the experts over here, what do they think about the following, who should I definitely avoid betting on? Tsonga (vs Roger-Vasselin), Raonic (vs Kyrgios), Delbonis (vs Lajovic), Kohlschreiber (vs Riba-Madrid), Nishikori (vs Klizan), Dimitrov (vs Karlovic), Isner (vs Herbert), Almagro (vs Sock), Simon (vs Pavic), Fognini (vs Beck), Halep (vs Kleybanova), Bouchard (vs Peer), Robredo (vs Ward). Thanks for your input in advance! And good luck to everybody ;)

Re: French Open 2014 Miles Raonic to win 4th quarter at 21.2 with Pinnacle the price for Raonic to win 4th quarter is only 13 at Bet365, but Pinnacle prices him at 21.2, which is equivalent to 1.84 at each match. Even if you take potential clash with Djokovic in quarterfinal into consideration, there is still a lot of value backing him. First, Raonic improves a lot in this clay season, and he produced some good wins and had a close match against Djokovic. Second, Nishikori may be more or less plauged with injury. If they meet each other at 4th round, Raonic will not be the underdog in my opinion. Djokovic no doubt should be the favorite to win this quarter, but in my opinion the probability of Raonic winning this quarter should be more than 4.7% (implied by the bookie).

Re: French Open 2014 Shuai Zhang V.S. Agnieszka Radwanska - over 17 games at 1.91 with Pinnacle Zhang never won a main draw match in grand slam before, but she improved a lot recently, so we should not rate her like before. Besides, she played a lot better than expected in Madrid. Therefore this should be a closer match than the bookie expects.

Re: French Open 2014 Here go my outright picks. Back Rafael Nadal not to reach the Final for a 7/10 stake at 2.10 with Paddy Power Back Novak Djokovic not to reach the Final for a 7/10 stake at 2.25 with Paddy Power For some reason, I think that we're going to see quite a few upsets over the next two weeks - and I don't think that we're going to see a Nadal-Djokovic final. Both looked vulnerable in Rome, so I'm more than happy to go against them here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/french-open-2014-betting-the-two-big-stars-might-fail-to-shine-in-paris-this-time-around Back Andy Murray to win the 2nd quarter for a 6/10 stake at 4.00 with Ladbrokes Back Fabio Fognini to win the 2nd quarter for a 1/10 stake at 14.50 with Pinnacle Stanislas Wawrinka hasn't looked that great since his Monte Carlo victory, so I simply can't understand the reasons for him being odds on to win the second quarter. Andy Murray looked good in Rome, so I'll be siding with him. A small punt on Fabio Fognini might also be worth it. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/french-open-2014-betting-andy-murray-can-do-better-than-expected-over-the-next-two-weeks Back Sara Errani to win the 4th quarter for a 3/10 stake at 6.00 with BetVictor Back Jelena Jankovic to win the 4th quarter for a 3/10 stake at 6.50 with Paddy Power Going against Li Na looks pretty logical to me and it's almost guaranteed that either Jankovic or Errani will make it through to the quarter-finals, so I am going to go for these two punts in the fourth quarter. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/french-open-2014-betting-li-na-looks-worth-opposing-in-the-fourth-quarter Back Simona Halep to win the 3rd quarter for a 7/10 stake at 3.00 with Ladbrokes A big Grand Slam success is virtually the only thing that's still there for Halep to achieve and she seems to be in a really good position right now, so I am happy to back her to win the third quarter at these odds. Re: French Open 2014 Three bets for me on Sunday. Back Shuai Zhang (+7) to beat Agnieszka Radwanska for a 8/10 stake at 2.01 with Pinnacle This line looks too high in all fairness. Shuai Zhang was pretty impressive in Rome and Radwanska doesn't have the greatest of records when it comes to the French Open, so I expect Zhang to give the world's number three a really good run for her money. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/zhang-vs-radwanska-betting-shuai-zhang-looks-very-underrated-once-again Back Sam Querrey (-5) to beat Filippo Volandri for a 7/10 stake at 2.10 with Pinnacle Querrey hasn't looked impressive recently, but I still expect him to beat Filippo Volandri without much fuss on Sunday. Motivation shouldn't be an issue given what's on the line and he's still the much better player of the two, after all. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/querrey-vs-volandri-betting-sam-querrey-can-deliver-in-the-first-round-of-the-french-open Back Annika Beck (-4) to beat Tsvetana Pironkova for a 7/10 stake at 1.93 with Pinnacle Annika Beck has a 2-0 record against the Bulgarian and she's also the better clay court player of the two, so I expect this handicap line to be covered here much more often than not. Re: French Open 2014 Richard Gasquet vs Bernard Tomic over 35.5 games 10/11 paddy power this is too close to call as these two players can play five sets so this will probably go all the way i can see each player winning a set as they can both play on clay and both have not had the best of seasons Martin Klizan vs Kei Nishikori over 33.5 games 4/5 games paddy power i fancy this too go to at least four sets as Klizan can play on clay and Nishikori has had an impressive season and should win this but it wont be easy

Re: French Open 2014 Back Nicolas Mahut to beat Mikhail Kukushkin for a 8/10 stake at 2.28 with Pinnacle Kukushkin hasn't been playing well for quite some time now, so I expect Nicolas Mahut to have every chance of beating him on Monday. He always plays his heart out in home conditions and he didn't play all that poorly in Nice last week either, so I'd perhaps even give him a small edge here. Re: French Open 2014 Back Martin Klizan (+2.5 sets) to beat Kei Nishikori for a 8/10 stake at 1.78 with Pinnacle Kei Nishikori should be able to beat the Slovak at the end of the day, but Klizan has been playing very well recently, so chances are that the Japanese number one will face some problems, especially since he hasn't played for a while and since his back is also of some concern. Do note that Gasquet is currently injured, and said he would have withdrawn from it if it has been any other tournament. (http://www.tennis.com/pro-game/2014/05/gasquet-defies-back-problem-play-french-open/51541/#.U4KWEKwrjIU)

Re: French Open 2014 Richard Gasquet vs Bernard Tomic - Bernard Tomic to defeat Richard Gasquet at 4.02 with Pinnacle Basically it’s a bet against the injured Gasquet. Richard Gasquet hasn’t played a match since he retired from Miami, and he is still plagued with his back injury. I even doubt whether he is able to finish this match. The interesting thing is Tomic has poor record recently and that’s why he is at such a valuable price in my opinion. But he should be able to deal with Gasquet given his performance last week. Should Richard retires, this bet is still valid according to Pinnacle’s rule.

Re: French Open 2014 Back G.Garcia-Lopez/S.Wawrinka - Over 3.5 sets for a 8/10 stake at 2.10 with Paddy Power Despite his recent successes, Wawrinka still tends to be slightly lackluster in these bread-and-butter matches, so I wouldn't be surprised by seeing him drop a set or two against Garcia-Lopez today. His losses against Thiem and Haas suggest that he might struggle to be at his destructive best straight away as well, after all. Re: French Open 2014 Back Ante Pavic (+2.5 sets) to beat Gilles Simon for a 7/10 stake at 2.38 with Pinnacle Back Ante Pavic to beat Gilles Simon for a 1/10 stake at 8.36 with Pinnacle Some of the qualifiers are bound to do well and I think that Simon isn't a particularly bad match-up for Pavic, so I am going to have a small punt on the Croat today. He managed to beat three strong player in the qualifiers and Simon hasn't been all that impressive lately, so I wouldn't be surprised by seeing Pavic do really well in this contest. Re: French Open 2014 Back Bernard Tomic to beat Richard Gasquet for a 7/10 stake at 3.96 with Pinnacle Jumping on the bandwagon, as the odds wouldn't make much sense even if Gasquet wasn't suffering from the problems that have been mentioned here. Throw those issues into the mix and I believe that there's every chance that Tomic will be able to progress to the second round in this year's French Open. Re: French Open 2014 Back Stephane Robert to beat Kevin Anderson for a 7/10 stake at 3.37 with Pinnacle Something seems to be wrong with Kevin Anderson right now, so I wouldn't have Robert as such a big underdog against him here. The Frenchman seems to be enjoying a very good season and he should enjoy playing on the big stage in his home country once again, so I'll be siding with him at odds that are well above 3.00. Re: French Open 2014 Back Jack Sock (+2.5 sets) to beat Nicolas Almagro for a 7/10 stake at 2.18 with Pinnacle Back Jack Sock to beat Nicolas Almagro for a 1/10 stake at 7.71 with Pinnacle Almagro often gives away sets for free in the first rounds of Grand Slams and Jack Sock is certainly not the worst player around, so I am more than happy to back him on the set handicap at anything above evens, especially since I also liked his performances in Nice. Re: French Open 2014 Back Kristina Mladenovic (+6.5 games) to beat Na Li at 2.10 with MarathonBet Mladenovic has some decent wins on clay recently, in my opinion in front of the French crowd she might be able to grab at least 6 games (if Li is going to win this in two sets). Back Lucas Pouille (+2.5 sets) to beat Juan Monaco at 2.08 with Unibet Even if we are talking about clay Monaco is simply not the player I trust nowadays. Pouille reached the second round here last year, and I can see him taking away a set from the Argentinian.

Re: French Open 2014 Back L.Lokoli/S.Johnson - Over 36.5 games for a 6/10 stake at 1.94 with Pinnacle Back Laurent Lokoli to beat Steve Johnson for a 4/10 stake at 3.77 with Pinnacle One last bet for me on Tuesday. Lokoli managed to beat Donskoy and Krajinovic in the qualifiers, so - if he manages to cope with the occasion - he should have every chance of beating Steve Johnson as well. The American seems to be way too one-dimensional to really outplay the young Frenchman, especially in conditions that aren't ideal for his playing style. Re: French Open 2014 No pick to share for me yet, but I must say that 1) the FO Slamtracker is disaster - no way to return to "all matches" once you stepped into any particular match 2) their mobile app for some reason does not include breakpoints statistics. However, I noticed that they list TWICE the unforced errors row in the "afterset graphics" in TV, LOL.
