Re: NatWest T20 Blast Tuesday TV preview: 4pts Warwickshire vs Nottinghamshire - Over 8.5 sixes 5/6 Stan James Although Shoaib Malik leaves a hole with the bat for the Bears I still think the sixes line is a touch on the low side here. There was a match here a couple of weeks ago where Northants were four down in no time and only made 133 but the match had six sixes in it which shows the potential for sixes here. T20 matches on this ground are usually played on one side of the square so a couple of short boundaries are usually there for the taking. With the explosive players on show on both sides here nine sixes is well within their reach. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Friday TV preview: 4pts Sussex to beat Kent 3/4 Betway Given that Kent seem to have given up the ghost in this competition and with Sussex having home advantage and historically being the better side of the two it makes sense to side with them in this match even though they are a little shorter than what could be called a value price in this format of the game. Chris Jordan has been released to play and he along with Luke Wright can prove the difference. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Tuesday preview: 5pts Glamorgan to beat Sussex 10/11 BetVictor Whether Sussex have given up on this tournament or not Glamorgan are much the better side of the two here and I expect them to win comfortably. Injuries haven’t been helping Sussex in this campaign and that has really hurt them with the bat but they haven’t been much better with the ball. Glamorgan are batting brilliantly and they have enough in their bowling to keep the Sussex batsmen at bay. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Wednesday preview: 4pts Surrey vs Somerset - Over 7.5 sixes 5/6 Stan James Were it not for Kieswetter’s injury Somerset would look a great bet but he is injured which leads me more towards the sixes betting. Matches at The Oval in this competition tend to be played at the sides of the square to protect the middle of it for the big matches so there is often a short boundary on one side. With both straight boundaries being short there is plenty of potential for at least eight sixes. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Friday TV preview: 4pts Kent to beat Somerset 13/10 Bet365 Somerset’s batting hasn’t fired for a while now and the absence of Craig Kieswetter isn’t going to help that much. Although their bowling attack can keep things tight there is a limit to how much they can defend and given that Kent have already blasted it to pieces already in this campaign there is a good case to be made that the home side are good value here. They’re not as strong with the ball but they’ve just defended 150 at Hove and can defend what is needed here. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Tuesday TV preview: 4pts Essex vs Hampshire - Over 11.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill Given that there isn’t a lot on this match it might be a bit dangerous to bet on the result but Essex missing a couple of their better bowlers leads me to think the big hits will flow throughout this match. Both sides have plenty of men who can clear any ropes let alone the smaller ones here so I expect to see a few balls disappear over the ropes and out of the ground here. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Wednesday TV preview: 4pts Northants vs Notts - Under 11.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill I would expect Nottinghamshire to win this match but you can’t write off the defending champions especially if the likes of Levi, Willey or Crook do something spectacular with the bat but batting as a unit has hurt Northants this season and this Notts side isn’t easy to score against so I wouldn’t be surprised if this is a low scoring game because Northants are decent enough with the ball. With that in mind the sixes line could be too high at 11.5. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/northamptonshire-vs-nottinghamshire-betting-sixes-may-not-come-regularly-at-wantage-rd

Re: NatWest T20 Blast Thursday TV preview: 4pts Middlesex vs Surrey - Over 8.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill Surrey should win this match but the risk probably outweighs the reward so I’m going to look for the sixes again here. With a Test match just completed at Lord’s I would expect the wicket here to be one of the ones on the side of the square which should allow a short boundary. A packed house deserves to see a match on a good wicket and if we get that we should see more than 8.5 sixes with the batting talent on show here. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Friday TV preview: 4pts Nottinghamshire to beat Yorkshire Evs Stan James With both having something to play for in this match this should be one of the better matches on the final evening of the group stage. These two met on TV earlier in the tournament when Yorkshire produced a bit of a shambles of a batting effort and while I don’t see them going as badly with the bat here the fact that Nottinghamshire have Lumb back and tons of momentum behind them leads me to think they’re overpriced at evens. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Friday QF preview: 4pts Glamorgan to beat Lancashire 17/10 Boylesports Glamorgan could just be a touch of value in this match. All through the tournament Lancashire’s bowling attack has been their strongest suit and with no Flintoff or Junaid and with a couple of key players missing with the bat Lancashire just have a vulnerable look to them. Glamorgan look much stronger with the bat and Michael Hogan’s presence with the ball keeps them competitive in that area and they are overpriced to me here. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Saturday QFs previews: 4pts Surrey vs Worcestershire - Under 8.5 sixes 10/11 Paddy Power Surrey should win this but they’re no price especially if there is rain around. A heavy atmosphere may make big hitting tougher though so it might be worth siding with few sixes being hit. In truth Surrey don’t hit a huge amount of them and they have an attack which doesn’t concede too many of them either so 8.5 could be a shade too high for the sixes line in this quarter final. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/surrey-vs-worcestershire-betting-sixes-may-be-short-in-supply-in-quarter-final 4pts Essex vs Worcestershire - Over 11.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill One thing we’ve seen from Essex in this tournament is that they are not the best at defending totals so taking odds on about them could be a nerve-racking idea. Another thing we’ve seen is that matches involving them at Chelmsford are usually high scoring and full of sixes and I see no reason why this one won’t be the same even allowing for what is at stake in this match. I still expect to see a dozen sixes. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/essex-vs-warwickshire-betting-chelmsford-crowd-can-see-plenty-more-sixes

Re: NatWest T20 Blast Sunday preview: 4pts Notts vs Hampshire - Over 10.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill Hampshire are a big price here but the best bet in the game is for there to be more than 10.5 sixes. Either side are more than capable of covering this on their own so the line looks pretty low to me. A number of players have a point to prove on the big stage which is another help for the sixes so I’m pretty confident the sixes total will go into double figures here. Re: NatWest T20 Blast Lancs odds against to beat Hampshire looks huge on first look. Market not factored in the potential squads it seems. Hampshire may be at home, but are going into the weekend with no overseas players. Leaves them with a bowling attack of Wood, Coles, Smith, Briggs plus 1. Can't be having that attack as potential winners at all myself. Huge reliance on the top order for them as they lack the big power in the mid-lower order. Lancashire welcome back Jimmy Anderson and Jos Buttler, in addition to having Kabir Ali fit for the weekend. Flintoff named in the squad but probably won't play - they look at full strength going into the weekend. Potential team of Smith, Prince, Khawaja, Brown, Buttler, Horton, Croft, Clark, Parry, Ali, and Anderson. Look legit contenders for the tournament to me, but should certainly be favourites to beat this Hampshire side. In the other semi it's hard to look beyond Surrey. Warwickshire are a good outfit but missing Shoaib Malik is a huge loss. Surrey welcome back KP and O'Brien, and have also been able to rest Tremlett, Meaker, and Batty today. Roy is the form man at the moment and the batting and bowling just looks incredibly strong. Potential side: Roy, Davies, KP, Solanki/Burns, Wilson, Kevin O'Brien, Mahmood, Tremlett, Robin Peterson, Dernbach, Meaker/Dunn. Even that leaves out people like Batty and Ansari - such a stacked side that it's difficult to pick an 11. Full of matchwinners though. Prediction - Surrey vs Lancs final.

Re: NatWest T20 Blast Semi final previews: 4pts Birmingham Bears to beat Surrey 5/4 Betway Surrey were really good in the group stage and cruised past Worcestershire in the quarter final but a lot has changed since then. Dilshan has gone off on Sri Lanka duty and a couple of their bowlers who were in good form no longer are, or are short of fitness and Kevin Pietersen’s form has to be a concern. Aside from a few injuries Birmingham are going nicely but the injuries won’t hurt as much with Bell and Woakes back. Throw in home advantage and the Bears look big here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/surrey-vs-birmingham-bears-betting-birmingham-can-avoid-their-party-being-gatecrashed 4pts Lancashire to beat Hampshire 11/10 Skybet Lancashire have looked really good in this tournament so far and I don’t think they are being given enough respect in this semi final. Hampshire had home advantage and a much better side in the quarter final between the two last year and won by one run and since then Hampshire have lost the likes of Sohail Tanvir, Neil McKenzie and Dimitri Mascarenhas while Lancashire will have Anderson, Buttler, Khawaja and Flintoff in their ranks. Topping the North Group was no mean feat for Lancashire and they can take that with them here and progress to the final.
