Re: Major League Baseball Eovaldi allows just three hits in seven innings and with the Marlins bats suddenly hitting form they win 9-3. Worth noting as well that the Marlins awful away record may be boosting their home prices where they are competitive. Re: Major League Baseball Texas Rangers at Washington Nationals Colby Lewis & Stephen Strasburg must start Rangers ML @ 2.65 with bet365 1/10 Going against Strasburg in this one. He had good last 3 games, but Nationals lost them due to weak run support - so, in my opinion, there's no way he should be 1.6ish odds. He is good, but had problems in the past with well hitting teams, and Rangers know how to hit the ball. Altough Lewis is medicore - Nats bats are stone cold and I simply cannot pass this juicy price.

Re: Major League Baseball Detroit Tigers at Seattle Mariners Justin Verlander & Hisashi Iwakuma must start Mariners ML @ 1.90 with bet365 to win 1/10 I'm taking the home team, because Justin isn't now in big form. His numbers in last 3 outings are just horrible - ERA > 8; 28 H in 17 inn's. He lacks ball control and opponents are hitting him well. Mariners' offense isn't great - that's a fact, but Iwakuma has good season and he should be able to limit Tigers' offense in my opinion. I have my doubts with Tigers' bullpen too - it's just awfull right now and there's no way I'd trust this bullpen with my money.

Sonny Gray started the season superbly well but has dropped off a little in his last couple of starts but is still pitching well. The same cannot be said of David Phelps who is on the hill for the Yankees tonight, he has been plain awful his last four appearances and the Yankees have yet to win on the road when he starts this season. In contrast Nick Tepesch who starts tonight for Texas has lost his last two starts with a messy ERA over 9 runs, small sample size but worth hoping his struggles continue today, as Seattle who come in with a three game losing streak is not the most potent offensive unit in the league but certainly look the better punt to me today. Juan Nicasio pitching for Colorad has been plain awful the last thrice losing all three with a 14+ ERA including a 7 run 1st inning while giving up 10 runs over 3 in his last outing. Colorado have easily the worst of this pitching matchup and a losing record on the road and I would expect the Giants to emerge with a victory here and its worth buying a few runs to try and score big as well

Normally I would give a serious look at playing the Rays in this spot against the Astros who are a few years away from contention and in their infancy as a team but when I look at the prices on a game where the Rays are sending their best pitcher to the mound but massively struggling with the bat - they have the worst record in MLB and only the Padres have plated less runs than the Rays then how could you possibly take a price of 1.55?. Has to be some value on the Astros so will play them in this spot also

Still he has just the one defeat and has already faced and beaten the jays on his MLB debut a 7-2 win. He has lost 7 of 8 with an era north of 5 and the numbers are worse at the colosseum. It would be short sighted to not mention that Tommy Milone has struggled when facing Texas as well though not to the same degree as Darvish has on the opposite side. Add in the fact that Oakland are the better team in part due to the injuries for the rangers but there is value in taking what the bookmakers would call an upset here.
