Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Tournament preview: 2pts ew M.Allen to win PTC Finals 10/1 Coral (1/2 1-2) Mark Allen comes into this tournament as the number one seed which shows how well he performed in the PTC events this season. He was a semi finalist in the World Open earlier in the month and on another day he may well have made it to the final so he looks to have clicked into gear and given how strong the quality is in this tournament he seems to have landed himself with just about the easiest run to the semi final as he could find despite the best of seven format. With a nice draw and some form behind him Allen looks the top half value alternative to the Rocket this week. Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Tuesday TV previews: 4pts D.Junhui vs B.Woollaston - Over 5.5 frames 5/6 Bet365 These two have met four times in the last couple of seasons. Two of those meetings have gone to a final frame while the other two finished 4-2. Ding won all four including their meeting over this distance in the Welsh Open last month which he took 4-3 but there is enough evidence to suggest this may not be the walk in the park it is billed as for Ding. Woollaston goes well over this distance and I think these two can play out at least six frames again. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/ding-vs-woollaston-betting-ding-s-defence-can-begin-with-lengthy-match 3pts J.Higgins (-2.5 frames) to beat J.Robertson 6/4 Boylesports John Higgins’ all round game should be too much for Robertson here. The Scot is showing some good form again and with Robertson’s safety game fairly loose you would think Higgins should come through this match cosily enough. Robertson may put a run together to win a frame but I’m not convinced he’ll get much more than that so I’ll take Higgins -2.5 here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/higgins-vs-j-robertson-betting-john-higgins-should-ease-through-opening-round 4pts S.Murphy to beat N.Robertson 11/10 William Hill This should be one of the games of the first round and I wouldn’t be surprised to see it go the distance but the form the two have shown in 2014 suggests that the bookies have got this the wrong way around. Murphy has won two tournaments and made the semi finals of another while Robertson has struggled somewhat and looked a little jaded since his UK Championship win. With that being the case Murphy looks the value call at 11/10. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/murphy-vs-n-robertson-betting-shaun-murphy-can-come-through-the-tie-of-the-round 4pts M.Fu vs G.Wilson - Over 5.5 frames 4/6 Spreadex Gary Wilson actually has a good record over Marco Fu but given the form Fu is currently in I would expect the man from Hong Kong to come through this one. It may just be that he doesn’t cruise through the match though and maybe he’ll need a final frame before he gets the job done. History suggests this will be closer than it looks so I like over 5.5 frames here. Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Wednesday TV previews: 3pts S.Bingham vs R.Day - Over 0.5 centuries 10/11 Bet365 This should be a good match to watch. Both like to attack the table and get the balls open and clear up and I don’t expect too much safety to be played over the course of the amount of frames it takes to settle the match. Stuart Bingham has made 27 centuries this season while Day has made 22 despite playing poorly for the first half of the season so there is every chance we’ll see one in this match between two very competent scorers. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/bingham-vs-day-betting-big-scorers-can-deliver-a-century-in-preston 3pts R.O'Sullivan to beat S.Donaldson 4-1 9/4 Spreadex It would be a shock of biblical proportions if Ronnie O’Sullivan doesn’t win this match, indeed there are some, myself included, who don’t think he will lose again this season but Donaldson shouldn’t be written off completely. He is a competent player and he has no fear and seems to relish the big stage so I think he can avoid a whitewash here but sadly Ronnie is in too good a vein of form for Donaldson to get anything else. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/o-sullivan-vs-donaldson-betting-o-sullivan-should-be-too-strong-in-preston-opener 4pts B.Hawkins to beat S.Bingham 5/4 Stan James Sometimes Hawkins finds it hard to close out the longer matches against the top players but by virtue of the fact he’s unlikely to have something like a three frame lead in this match that shouldn’t be too much of an issue here so I like the look of him at odds against. I still think Stephen Maguire is underrated in a few circles. He’s a top top player but Hawkins may just have too much for him here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/maguire-vs-hawkins-betting-barry-hawkins-can-edge-out-maguire-in-preston 3pts M.Selby (-2.5 frames) to beat D.Gilbert 11/8 Boylesports Mark Selby played very well in the World Open and if he brings that form to Preston with him this week he’ll be a danger once again. The key to Selby’s game that week was how strongly he scored and if he scores like that here this could be an easy night’s work for him. I think he’ll win and given that Gilbert’s form has just dropped off in the last couple of months I’ll go with Selby to cover a 2.5 frame cap. Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Thursday TV previews: 4pts M.Fu to beat M.Williams 9/10 BetVictor Fu has won four of the last five meetings between these two and I like him to win again too. He is in the middle of a rich vein of form at the minute and often when he’s in good form that stays for a while. Williams seems to be on the mend as far as his own form goes but you sense he isn’t quite there yet so it is Fu for me in this one. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/fu-vs-williams-betting-marco-fu-can-see-off-williams-once-again 3pts R.O'Sullivan to win 4-1 11/5 Spreadex O’Sullivan did give chances to Donaldson in the previous round and while I would expect him to improve here you would say he is up against a stronger opponent here. I still think O’Sullivan will come through but it would be much more of a surprise should he win this without losing a frame. Delu probably doesn’t have the consistency to win this match but he should be good for a frame. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/o-sullivan-vs-delu-betting-yu-delu-can-take-a-frame-off-the-rocket-in-preston 4pts S.Murphy to beat J.Trump 19/20 Boylesports This promises to be a cracking match between two highly talented players who are both capable of winning any tournament they play in. Murphy is the man on form at the minute and I think he’ll come through because of that but it would be no surprise if it goes the distance before he wins it just like their epic World Championship clash last year. When push comes to shove Murphy’s winning momentum can see him home for me. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/murphy-vs-trump-betting-shaun-murphy-can-edge-out-trump-in-a-thriller

Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Friday's early QF previews: 4pts M.Fu to beat J.Higgins 11/8 Boylesports Marco Fu doesn’t have the best of records against John Higgins but most of their major tournament meetings were when Higgins was in his very best form. That isn’t so much the case now and Fu is actually ranked higher in the world rankings than the Scot so I think the man from Hong Kong offers a little bit of value in this one so he’s the call at a more than fair 11/8. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/higgins-vs-fu-betting-marco-fu-can-finally-get-the-better-of-higgins 3pts M.Allen (-2.5 frames) to beat G.Greene 5/4 Paddy Power Although Gerard Greene shouldn’t be disrespected we have to take notice of Mark Allen’s return to form. He is taking all his chances and you get the feeling he will get more than enough chances in this match too. Allen’s safety game is good enough to force his own chances as well so I expect him to win comfortably. Anthony Hamilton should’ve seen off Greene with plenty to spare. He didn’t but Allen can. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/allen-vs-greene-betting-mark-allen-can-ease-into-the-semi-final-in-preston 4pts J.Perry (+1.5 frames) to beat J.Trump 11/10 Stan James Joe Perry is clearly in good touch at the minute and I see no reason why he won’t put up a good account of himself in this match. Whether he gets over the line or not I can’t make my mind up but with him being odds against to win three frames that’s a decision I don’t have to make. I’m confident Perry can force a decider if not win the match. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/trump-vs-perry-betting-joe-perry-can-push-trump-all-the-way-in-preston-quarter-final

Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Final QF preview: 4pts Y.Delu (+1.5 frames) to beat B.Hawkins 21/20 Boylesports There’s no reason why Yu Delu should be opposed here. The only case that can be made against him is a lack of experience at this stage of a tournament but the way he dispatched O’Sullivan in the last two frames I’m not sure even that is a negative. Hawkins is very much hit and miss and is awful from the front so I see nothing to suggest Delu can’t force a decider if not win the match outright. Re: PTC Finals 25-29 Mar Semi final previews: 4pts M.Fu (-1.5 frames) to beat G.Greene 4/6 Spreadex It is hard not to like Marco Fu in this match. He is cueing brilliantly, scoring superbly and has such a good all round game that even if it gets scrappy he has that angle covered too. On a couple of occasions Greene has ridden his luck this week but I think that luck will run out in the semi final with Fu running out a fairly comfortable winner here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/fu-vs-greene-betting-marco-fu-can-cruise-into-the-final-in-preston 4pts J.Trump (-1.5 frames) to beat B.Hawkins 11/10 Paddy Power I like Trump here. I think this distance is perfect for his game and getting the balls open and clearing up is the way to go and that is what he does better than anyone in the game apart from Ronnie O’Sullivan. While Hawkins has done well to get this far he has been slightly below his best this week and for that reason I think Trump can come through with a frame to spare here.
