Re: March 17 - March 23 Back Tomas Berdych to win ATP Miami for a 2/10 stake at 21.00 with Stan James I like Berdych in Miami at this price. His quarter looks rather acceptable and he will have no fatigues issue coming into this, so I fancy him to forget about that poor loss against Bautista-Agut quickly enough and to bounce back in some style over the next couple of days. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/atp-miami-betting-tomas-berdych-can-bounce-back-with-a-good-performance-in-miami Back Jarkko Nieminen to beat Bernard Tomic for a 8/10 stake at 1.61 with Ladbrokes Tomic hasn't played for quite some time now and his injury was apparently quite tricky to deal with, so Nieminen, who looked decent enough in Indian Wells, should be able to beat him in the first round, especially since Tomic has never been too reliable away from Australia. Re: March 17 - March 23 I like half a dozen matches in Miami today, so I'll just give a few lines of reasoning for each. Juan Monaco to beat Jeremy Chardy @ 2.56 Betfair Monaco has dominated Chardy in previous meetings, and although most of those matches were on clay I still think it counts for something in this match. When you look across the net and see a player that has beaten you so many times I think it has to have an effect. Monaco isn't in form but then I wouldn't necessarily say that Chardy is either. This could be a close match and so the price on Monaco appeals. Marinko Matosevic to beat Alejandro Falla @ 2.04 Betfair I like Matosevic on North American hard, and although Falla also enjoys these conditions I think the Australian could edge this. Falla beat Janowicz and played reasonably well in defeat against Raonic last week, whilst Matosevic went down in a close match to Robredo. I think pushing a complete player like Robredo so close is more impressive than doing well against big servers, and so Matosevic is the player to back for me. Alejandro Gonzalez to beat Malek Jaziri @ 2.38 Betfair Gonzalez did well last week and took a set against Djokovic, and even though Jaziri has the advantage of having come through qualifying the fact is he is a journeyman pro who hasn't been much higher than the top 75 in the world. Gonzalez hasn't done a lot better as far as his ranking is concerned, but the difference is that he is close to his highest ranking. As a late developer, the Colombian could develop still further and I think is value here. Paul Henri-Mathieu to beat Ivo Karlovic @ 2.24 Betfair Mathieu beat Karlovic in their most recent meeting on hard, and came through qualifying here so is used to the conditions. Everyone knows that Karlovic is all about serve, and if that fails he has very little else to fall back on. Mathieu looks to be in good form at the moment, with only tight losses to Del Potro and Federer in recent weeks and so I like his price in this match against a one-dimensional player like Karlovic. Dominic Thiem to beat Lukas Rosol @ 1.92 Betfair Thiem had a good run in Indian Wells and has come through qualifying here, and he looks in form at the moment. Rosol won a Challenger last week so is also playing well, but at the same time you wonder how is energy levels will be after winning a title. Thiem has shown so far this season that he is capable when facing the better players on tour, and I think he should be able to beat a player like Rosol who is not all that consistent. Marcos Baghdatis to beat Santiago Giraldo @ 2.10 Betfair Baghdatis has made a miserable start to the season, but even so I rate him as a better player than Giraldo on hard. To illustrate the point, Baghdatis beat young prospect Vesely in Delray Beach whereas the only win Giraldo has on a hard court this season came against clay courter Gimeno-Traver in Indian Wells. Baghdatis can be a streaky player, and so I wouldn't be surprised if he snapped out of his current rut and got a couple of wins in Miami.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Rosol v Thiem Well, you know , when Rosol is in such fantastic form , then to not tune it in such a beautiful coefficient would be a crime. The coefficient that it above 2.0 is not justified. The czech is on the 38th line of the rankings , Austrian - 86 , and the second is favorite part of the game. Is he a future star of world tennis or what? Why such confidence in the young guy? Regularly and closely watching the events of tennis and somehow did not notice any tangible breakthrough with his hand. Yes, there are some interesting developments as it was with Murray, who is not in good shape, victory over Simon , who also lost somewhere lately. But all these results are no more than mediocre , to rely on that would be wrong. Rosol is in stunning condition, and if in the beginning , he clearly dropped out of the tour , now shows a very decent tennis, and results are perfect proof: 16.03.14 Rosol - Stakhovsky 2:1 (5:7, 6:1, 6:0) 16.03.14 Johnson - Rosol 0:2 (0:6, 3:6) 14.03.14 Rosol - Harrison R. 2:1 (6:4, 3:6, 6:3) 13.03.14 Russell - Rosol 0:2 (3:6, 4:6) 03.13.14 Rosol - Brands 2:0 (6:3, 6:1) Before there were good performances in the United Arab Emirates and in Indian Wells , where he was stopped only by Roger and Andy. Here's how its form Czech tennis player himself says: "I must say that I spent a glorious week" - quoted Rosol ATP official website. "For several years I played in this tournament in the early stages , but always in a bitter struggle. Now I feel well prepared to compete in Miami". Let's support the tennis player from the Czech Republic and hope that he will not disappoint us. Rosol (ML) at 2.10 Sportingbet

Re: March 17 - March 23 Back Robin Haase to beat Lleyton Hewitt for a 7/10 stake at 2.93 with Pinnacle Hewitt was dreadful in Indian Wells, he really was, and if his injury issues flame up once again, he will be there for the taking. Haase is no world beater, but he can force Hewitt onto the back foot and looks value to me here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/haase-vs-hewitt-betting-robin-haase-has-what-it-takes-to-upset-lleyton-hewitt Back Guillermo Garcia-Lopez to beat Bradley Klahn for a 7/10 stake at 2.36 with Pinnacle Klahn has never been able to transfer his Challenger successes to the ATP-level tournaments and Garcia-Lopez is good enough to hang in there, so I like the look of the Spaniard at anything above evens. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/garcia-lopez-vs-klahn-betting-the-world-s-number-fifty-five-looks-value-against-bradley-klahn-in-miami Back Stephane Robert to beat Alex Bogomolov for a 7/10 stake at 2.44 with Pinnacle Bogomolov is just way too hit-or-miss these days, virtually unbackable as the favorite. Robert has beaten him before and the slowish conditions in Miami should be to his liking, so these odds look worth taking to me. Czech i didnt see Hewitts last match but looking at the result he lost to Anderson 7-6 6-4, which is nothing to be laughed at, how can he be so bad and be beaten by one break of serve only

Re: March 17 - March 23 ATP MIAMI MASTERS 1000 ROUND 1: Stephane ROBERT vs Alex BOGOMOLOV TIP: ROBERT to beat BOGOMOLOV @ $2.40 H2H: 2013 French Open Qualifier Robert won 6-3 6-4 REASON: Bolgomolov is a very inconsistent player who can not be trusted at all times. He possesses no big threats on court and has struggled to get going this year losing to below average opponents. On the bright side, we have Stephane Robert having a stand out year reaching a personal best on Grand Slam level. Although the Frenchmen is a claycourt specialist, the courts and conditions in Miami are slow and will suit him perfectly. Take Robert @ $2.40, It's super value and all signs lead to him progressing to the next round! STAKE: 7.5 / 10

Re: March 17 - March 23 WTA MIAMI MASTERS 1000 ROUND 2: Kiki BERTENS vs Samantha STOSUR TIP: BERTENS to beat STOSUR @ $4.00 H2H: N / A REASON: Kiki Bertens is a powerful player with excellent ground strokes. She has started the season in solid fashion. Sam Stosur is a top 20 player but has a nack of losing against almost anyone. Her game plan is very one dimentional and has a few weaknesses which can be exposed, especially the backhand side. Kiki enters Round 2 of Miami having already won 3 qualifying matches. So she will be the better prepared and more confident player heading into this match. Look for Bertens to start the match well and continue to outhit her opponent. $4.00 is an absolute special, definitely worth a small wager! STAKE: 4 / 10

Re: March 17 - March 23 From forum : ATP Tennis Miami Gimeno Traver - Khachanov Gimeno Traver 2-0 win in sets Odds 1.8 Unibet Stake 10/10 I really cant see any other outcome here. Take a look to results of Khachanov. Last 8 matches are 7 lost 1 win, and still that win was against injured Moriya! All other matches are lost without winning any set, all the time its 2-0 or 3-0 ! Last Khachanov match was in 17th of February, so more than a month ago. Also, he had just came to USA yesterday, so time zones, aclimatization and long flight its also not a plus for him ! Gimeno Traver is allready more than a month in America! What is most important, during the training yesterday, he had a bladder on his hand, so this is very bad news for him !! Gimeno Traver is playing not bad tennis, yes, he lost 4 matches of last 5, but he played against Nadal and still he won 8 games on clay against him what is not an easy target. He won a set against Almagro, so results are not bad even he lost the matches. Also earlier he even won against Dolgopolov. So his form is really good, and against such player as Khachanov, 2-0 win must be taken. Khachanov is very young player, not much experience, just 453 in ATP Rankings, while Traver is 99th, so everything is on Traver side, and it should be an easy start for him in this tournament ! Pinnacle has it -1.5 set handicap

Re: March 17 - March 23 Jimmy Wang to beat Aljaz Bedene @ 2.50 Betfair Wang has been playing exclusively on hard courts during recent weeks, whereas Bedene has only had a couple of matches on the surface in qualifying here. You could argue that Bedene is the more talented of the two, but there is little in his recent results to suggest he should be this kind of favourite against a player in Wang who has picked up a few wins on hard recently and who also came through qualifying. Stephane Robert to beat Alex Bogomolov Jr. @ 2.50 Betfair Bogomolov played in the qualifiers at this tournament and Robert didn't, but that's about the only thing in his favour here in my opinion. The Russian is such a volatile and combustible player that you just don't know what you will get from him, and against an experienced and flamboyant player like Robert he could quite easily get frustrated and start playing loose shots. I think Robert is quite a steady player and so I'll take him in this match.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Mikhail Kukushkin to beat Yen Hsun Lu @ 2.60 Betfair Kukushkin got a couple of wins in Indian Wells and took a set against Lopez, and so it could be that he is coming into some form. Lu did well to beat Kohlschreiber last week but then lost tamely to Isner, and given that Kukushkin has beaten him before I think the prices should be more even. Kukushkin is another player that seems streaky to me, and so I'll pay to see if he can get a good result here. Igor Sijsling to beat Edouard Roger-Vasselin @ 2.50 Betfair Since his run in Rotterdam, Sijsling hasn't had many good results but in a couple of those matches he has been on the wrong side of final set tie-breaks. Roger-Vasselin hasn't been in great form either as far as I can see, and as he has won one and lost one when playing Sijsling in the past I'm not sure why he is so favoured in this match. I think this could go either way so I would say there is some value on Sijsling. Guillermo Garcia-Lopez to beat Bradley Klahn @ 2.10 Betfair Garcia-Lopez hasn't played for a few weeks and hasn't played on hard since the Australian Open, but even so he has enough experience to take care of Klahn in this match. The American had some good Challenger results earlier in the season, but has struggled to transfer that success to the main tour. Garcia-Lopez has lost his last four matches, all on clay, but I think he will snap that streak against home hope Klahn. Donald Young to beat Carlos Berlocq @ 2.30 Betfair It looks as though Berlocq is the player most people want to back here, and I can understand why as he is a player that gives his all in almost every match he plays. That said, he hasn't played on hard since the Australian Open and he hasn't won a match on hard so far this season. Young is still struggling with consistency, but he showed his talent at the Australian Open and he's had matches and wins on hard recently and so I'm backing him.

Czech i didnt see Hewitts last match but looking at the result he lost to Anderson 7-6 6-4' date=' which is nothing to be laughed at, how can he be so bad and be beaten by one break of serve only[/quote'] It seems like it was a tough match for Anderson, but in fact it wasn't... Lleyton looked only a bit better than two days before earlier against semi-injured Ebden. Fully agree with Czech's punt on the dutchman.

The result was quite misleading in my opinion. As for your other question - the conditions in Miami are slow and Young can struggle with Berlocq's consistency, so those odds don't look overly appealing to me.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Back Ivo Karlovic (+3.5) to beat Roger Federer for a 6/10 stake at 2.10 with Paddy Power Back Ivo Karlovic to beat Roger Federer for a 1/10 stake at 8.49 with Pinnacle This could be a tough match for Federer in my opinion. Karlovic is playing decent tennis himself and Federer might be a bit off after that loss against Djokovic, so it's hard to see him steamrolling the Croat here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/karlovic-vs-federer-betting-ivo-karlovic-can-shine-against-roger-federer-in-miami Back Jiri Vesely to beat Feliciano Lopez for a 6/10 stake at 2.93 with Pinnacle Vesely is going up, Lopez is going down, at least at the moment. Vesely was brimming with confidence in Indian Wells, while Lopez struggled. Fancy the Czech at this price then. Re: March 17 - March 23 ROUND 2: Alison RISKE vs Elena VESNINA TIP: RISKE to beat VESNINA @ $2.01 on Pinnacle Sport H2H: 2014 Australian Open Riske won 6-2 6-2 REASON: Vesnina is certainly out of form losing her past 3 matches. She has a tendancy to go missing at times and is inconsistent / mentally weak. Alison Riske is the more consistent player of the two and comes into this match with a great deal of confidence. Not only did she destroy her opponent 2&2 earlier this year, she fought from a set down to win round 1 in Miami. Super value @ $2.01 so take the young American on home soil to win comfortably with minimal.. Riske! STAKE: 8 / 10

Re: March 17 - March 23 WTA MIAMI MASTERS 1000 TIP: Alize Cornet vs Andrea Petkovic OVER 20.5 GAMES @ $1.76 on Pinnacle Sports REASON: This game has got overs written all over it. Not only do these two love to go the distance in their previous encounters, they just don't know how to close out a set in simple fashion, yet alone the match. Very Confident this match will either be two tight sets or go the distance in three! STAKE: 9 / 10 We have a list of bets for tonight.. Happy Punting! ATP MIAMI MASTERS 1000: TIP: Kevin Anderson vs Horacio Zeballos OVER 20.5 GAMES @ $1.76 on bet365 REASON: Zeballos is no mug and can play on hard court. He is more than capable of keeping at the very least, one set tight. Especially being up against the big serving giant who lacks movement in Anderson. I predict a close match with both players holding serve quite comfortably! STAKE: 7 / 10

Re: March 17 - March 23 Dominic Thiem to beat Tommy Robredo @ 2.26 Betfair Thiem did well to come past Rosol in the last round when you consider the form the Czech has been in, and when you also consider the amount of matches he has had on hard recently compared to Robredo I think you can make a case for a win for the young Austrian in this match. Robredo only just squeaked past Matosevic in Indian Wells before losing to Cilic, and he could be vulnerable in what will be his first match of this tournament. Jiri Vesely to beat Feliciano Lopez @ 2.70 Betfair I agree with what has already been said about this match, and I think Vesely has a real chance of beating Lopez here. The young Czech already has a match under his belt in this tournament, whereas Lopez hasn't played since winning through a few rounds in Indian Wells. Some of those wins required three sets though, suggesting that the Spaniard isn't in top form. Vesely pushed Murray close recently, so he should be able to give Lopez a match.

Re: March 17 - March 23 @Torque Agree with you certainly on Thiem, I was very impressed with him against Rosol, who played reasonably well, but threw in one or two sloppy service games and that was all the young Austrian needed. He also more than matched Rosol in the longer rallies too, which I wasn't expecting. I think Thiem could well take this, unless Robredo brings his best game.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Anyone see Batista-Agut's game yesterday against Steve Johnson? He started slowly, and threw in a poor service game early doors, but thereafter he had breakpoints on almost every one of Johnson's service games, and he steamrolled through almost every one of his own service games. Have to say I was impressed. I thought he might be fatigued after going deep in recent tournaments but no, he looked fresh, and he'll be a threat to anyone, even the big guns, if he keeps this standard up.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Back Jack Sock (+3.5) to beat Milos Raonic for a 7/10 stake at 1.80 with Paddy Power Sock has always liked playing against the big and powerful guys, so this looks like a handicap line that he should be able to cover more often than not, especially in the slower Miami conditions. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/sock-vs-raonic-betting-jack-sock-can-enjoy-the-match-up-for-the-third-time-in-a-row Back Lucie Safarova (+4.5) to beat Maria Sharapova for a 7/10 stake at 1.90 with Paddy Power Sharapova hasn't been that great lately, so taking the handicap line on Safarova looks like the right choice to me here. Unlike the Russian, Safarova has been playing decent tennis in recent weeks, losing only against stronger players - and never without putting up a good fight. Re: March 17 - March 23 Jerzy Janowicz to beat Roberto Bautista Agut @ 2.26 Betfair I like Bautista Agut, but I'm not sure he should be favourite in this match. Janowicz suffered a disappointing loss against Falla in Indian Wells, but otherwise I wouldn't say he has done a lot wrong this season. The Pole is quite well established in the top 25 in the world, and as much as Bautista Agut has done well recently the fact is he is just inside the top 50 in the rankings. As such, I like Janowicz at the price rather than the Spaniard.

Re: March 17 - March 23 Vasek Pospisil to beat Aljaz Bedene @ 2.12 Betfair I'll take a chance that Pospisil is over the back problems he has been suffering from in recent weeks, because if he is then he should be the favourite in this match. He has far more hard court pedigree than Bedene, and I saw nothing in the Slovak's three set win against Wang in the first round to suggest that he can trouble Pospisil if the Canadian is fully fit. At a touch over evens, I think Pospisil is worth an investment here.
