Re: La Liga > March 14th - 17th Getafe v Granada This bet more on the motivation , because justify it in terms of good form teams or things like that , is extremely difficult. Getafe for 12 games in a row in the league can not win. Last time won already in November last year, and so after that there was another victory in the Spanish Cup over Girona. Nevertheless , it is worth noting that even this series could not omit the team in the relegation zone. This suggests that Getafe is clearly not in the Segunda and expect results to improve in the near future. First thing that happened - it's a change of coach. Management could not tolerate this situation and decided to change the steering. Instead Luis Garcia Plasy was appointed romanian Cosmin Contra. Appointment rather strange , because this specialist nothing special, coached pretty mediocre clubs - Timisoara , Fuenlabrada and Petrolul. Perhaps the crucial role played by the fact that Contra spent five seasons for Getafe and may unite players in such a difficult period. A period is really not simple, because in the remaining rounds with many strong middle palced teams of Spanish football - Valencia , Seville, Bilbao, as well as Atl. Madrid. So , in this match points must be taken , because the gap between the relegation zone is only one point. Visitors well suited for Getafe forces. If you can not beat Granada, then it is better to fly out to Segunda. Granada a few seasons ago entered the elite of Spanish football , but was able to adapt. The club does not dream of European competition , and finance enough, the club perfectly learned to survive. Granada the position is not as confident , but still andalusians are in a better position than Getafe. And yet, dare to play a home win since motivation, as well as a change of coach should "fruitfully" affect players of Getafe. Getafe (-0,25) at 1.88 Pinnacle

Re: La Liga > March 14th - 17th Ath Madrid have had their mid season stumble and are back in the saddle. They have had 7 clean sheets in 10 home games. Espanyol have failed to score in 6 of their last 9 away league games. They have just 4 1st half goals away in 13 away games this season. I like Ath MAdrid to win HT/FT at odds of 1.9 for 4 units

Re: La Liga > March 14th - 17th Valencia had to play in EL for about 60mins with 10 men on the field. They were outplayed by their opponent. They are facing Sociedad who found their form. I expect Valencia to give the initiative to their opponent in the last 30 mins of the game. Real Sociedad will probably win this.

Re: La Liga > March 14th - 17th Barcelona v Osasuna Oriol Riera, a headache for Barcelona It is a fact that this season Barcelona have a problem when it comes to defending form a dead-ball situation. Seven goals have been conceded this way, and oddly, all seven have come from corners, and this makes Barcelona the team that have conceded the most goals in this way in the league. Last team to score this way, just two round ago Almeria's central Trujillo did it at Nou Camp. Barca's problems when defending in the air have not passed unnoticed by the other clubs, who always try to take advantage of it. And Barcelona's opponents this Sunday at the Camp Nou, Osasuna, will have Oriol Riera, one of the best headers of the ball in the league, in the side. It is ironic that he started his football career at La Masia and trained alongside a number of the current Barca squad such as Messi, Cesc Fabregas and Pique. Riera made his first-team debut under Frank Rijkaard in 2003, and he is the player who scores more with headers than any other in the competition (22) along with Agirretxe, and the one who has won the most balls in the air (195 out of 290 balls disputed). And it is this skill which has helped him to score three headers so far this season, and thus be a veritable nightmare for defences which have to face him in dead-ball situations. And it isn't just that he can score with headers, he can also nod the ball downwards for his team-mates. Tip: Oriol Riera (Osasuna) anytime goalscorer at 8.00 WillHill

Real Sociedad won the game 1:0 scoring a second half goal : ). It's a shame these threads do not get more attention.

Re: La Liga > March 14th - 17th Villareal v Atl. Bilbao Athletic, going on the 4th place. Of course, to play another 10 rounds... But given calendar of the Basque , in the remaining 10 rounds they gain around 15-16 points minimum. So, if Villarreal play a draw with Bilbao tonight , the Basque take away the 4th line for sure, the submarine in the remaining 10 rounds will need to dial 23-24 points out of 30 possible. And still ahead of Villarreal are.. Barca, plus away to Atletico Madrid and Sociedad. In short , objectively speaking, if Villarreal want to play in the Champions League, must beat Athletic. Then lag reduced to only 4 points and Villarreal will regain a good chance of reaching the Champions League. Athletic is a very different team away from home. Capable of the best and the worst, this will surely be eventually equipazo third party has been able to win on the road only to Valladolid, Getafe, Malaga, Osasuna (giving an exhibition) and Betis. That is not badly, but are five of the worst teams in the competition. Perhaps his most meritorious result away from home is the ultimate in Valencia, and I do not know if it was worthy of all the same. Good news for Villareal - the recovering of Mussachio , Cani and Gio. If add players like Oliver, Bruno, Uche and Costa, the truth is that I do not look for anything less than the Basque team. In order returned Ruben Cani - unquestionably the leader and the best player of the team , attacking midfielder. In the last few games hosts not achieved good results, but I think it has also been for the significant drop of Cani, a player that is key to this team, gives order to the entire midfield... but not sure if all three will be 100% after a few days out of action. In 7 of the last 8 home games against Athletic yellow submarine score at least 2 goals - is such a more interesting statistic. Villarreal - a very dynamic and fast team that controls the ball well and combines fast , while Athletic differs highly placed defense line and regular performance of the offside tramp. Basques rarely return home without conceding a goal (three times all season , against Betis , Celta and Getafe - outsiders) , and is unlikely to be able to fend off attacks lead by Cani , Uche and Dos Santos. The Basques , like Villarreal, also tend to effective football. Too "open" this team plays , so keep the door shut is not a condition. Goals in away matches , of course, they are more complicated than at home. However, only 4 out of 13 away games Athletic done without goals scored. Top scorer Aduriz in good shape and will be released in the first eleven , all the key creatives (Susaeta , Muniain , Rico) too. An additional advantage of the guests - they are much better Villarreal play on the second level , they have more tall players. Athletic 11 goals scored in the championship from death-balls (not counting the penalty), while Villarreal has 2 goals scored. So guests can score a goal completely coming from a set piece. Although their game and chances are great, Villarreal will be forced to play open, go forward a large force , let alone, Basques know how to wonderful counterattack. I think that at this time the team will not change the tradition and will be given another match with goals at both ends. In general, for me Athletic Bilbao is on a higher step and think Villarreal finally will start giving the positions in the table. Bilbao play nicely always trying to steal the ball, fast exits game with touch and control in the midfield - Villarreal , is a team that sometimes tends to over- complicate when have the ball and give away side many occasions. In personal meetings Over 2.5 was broken in 6 of the 10 meetings. In 3 out of 4 matches in which Over not passed, were scored 2 goals. Both teams score show attacking football. If Villarreal wants to play in the Champions League, then should play openly and Athletic is not bad playing on counterattack. I like this over, with two teams that seek the opposite gate quite regularly. Predictions: Both to score, Yes at 1.77 10Bet Over 2.5 Goals at 1.99 Sbobet Villarreal are a team that keep the ball well and tries to take the lead from there its high lines in corners with a mean of 7.6 for corners. Addto this what delivers Athletic away counting their last 5 games on the avg 5.8 leaves us with a high average of 13.4! With these numbers will try this line +11.5 Now for the corners of Villareal, acting as a host: Villarreal - Valladolid 8-3 Villarreal - Real Madrid 8-3 Villarreal - Espanyol 3-5 Villarreal - Granada 6-4 Villarreal - Valencia 6-9 Villarreal - Getafe 9-8 Villarreal - Atletico Madrid 9-7 Villarreal - Malaga 9-7 Villarreal - Sevilla 11-4 Villarreal - Real Sociedad 8-6 Villarreal - Almeria 9-7 Villarreal - Osasuna 5-2 Villarreal - Celtic 9-2 Villarreal - Betis 7-8 Let's see Bilbao's stats corners outside their stadium: Valladolid - Athletic 5-5 Real Madrid - Athletic 9-6 Espanyol - Athletic 3-6 Granada - Athletic 5-2 Getafe - Athletic 9-4 Atletico Madrid - Athletic 3-0 Malaga - Athletic 5-3 Sevilla - Athletic 8-9 Real Sociedad - Athletic 5-4 Oasuna - Athletic 1-8 Celta - Athletic 5-6 Betis - Athletic 8-5 Valencia - Athletic 9-6 Have to go with it, as both are teams that attack a lot, which generates occasions, usually attack by flanks, generating more corners. Finally add that Villarreal 7.07 corners per game and 5.35 in favor of opponent. Meanwhile Athletic Bilbao generates an average of 4.92 corners per game and has an average of 5.76 against . In the clash of the first leg, 12 corners. Athletic Bilbao - Villarreal 8-4 Prediction: Over 11,5 Corners at 2.06 Sbobet

Villareal v Atl. Bilbao Predictions: Both to score, Yes at 1.77 10Bet Over 2.5 Goals at 1.99 Sbobet
Thanks for a very good write-up. I just don't like the over 2.5 bet here . Ath Bilbao have been so choppy away from home, and have not shown much away form. Their success is based on dynamic home form. They are 8 of 10 away games UNDER 2.5 failing to score in 4 of 10 games away. Villareal have been 0-0 at HT in their last 3, and there is a huge correlation between no first half goals and a game that finishes under 2.5 The BTTS bet appeals to me more, as Villareal have been BTTS in 10 of 14 home games this season. I will stay away from this game as I feel both teams are just too choppy ....
