Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th [h=1]Source : William Hill OPTA Stats La Liga Opta Facts | 21-24 February[/h] Valladolid v Levante

  • Valladolid have won three and drawn one of their last five meetings with Levante in the Primera (L1).
  • The manager of Levante in their only victory in this run was Juan Ignacio Martinez, who is now in charge of Real Valladolid (2-1 in the Ciutat de Valencia).
  • Valladolid are unbeaten in four home league games (W2 D2), keeping a clean sheet in three of them.
  • Levante are unbeaten in six league games (W3 D3); they have never gone seven in a row without defeat under Joaquin Caparros.
  • The last time Real Valladolid were awarded two penalties in a single game was this exact fixture last season (2-0 in 2012).
  • If they keep a clean sheet in this game, Levante will have kept four in a row for the first time in their La Liga history.
  • Three of los Pucelanos' last five home league goals have been scored with headers, and all three have been netted by different players (Javi Guerra, Jesus Rueda, Humberto Osorio).
  • Joaquin Caparros's Levante side have averaged the lowest amount of possession this season (36.4%); the same as JIM's Levante side did last season (35.9%).
  • David Barral has scored in Levante's last four league wins (five goals in total in these games).
Real Madrid v Elche
  • Real Madrid have won their last five league meetings with Elche; they have never won six in a row against los Ilicitanos.
  • The Whites recorded their biggest ever league win against any side in a clash with Elche in 1960 (11-2).
  • No current Elche player was even born when los Ilicitanos last claimed a point at the Bernabeu (2-2 in 1975).
  • Real Madrid have claimed 19 points in 2014 so far, the most in La Liga and five more than their fellow league-leaders Atletico Madrid and Barcelona (14).
  • Elche are unbeaten in three league games (W1 D2) and have only lost one of their last six; 4-0 in the Anoeta against Real Sociedad.
  • Jese Rodriguez has scored in Real Madrid's last three league games; the last Spanish player to score in four in a row for them was Raul Gonzalez in 2002/03.
  • Only Rayo Vallecano (nine) have conceded more goals to opposition substitutes than Elche (eight).
  • Karim Benzema has scored in his last six appearances at the Bernabeu; if he nets here, he will equal his record with Real Madrid (seven home games between 2010/11 and 2011/12).
  • Elche have had the lowest number of blocked shots in La Liga this season (40); Real Madrid, the most (87).
  • Only Cesc Fabregas (12) has made more assists than Gareth Bale (nine) in La Liga this term.
  • Real Madrid have scored eight goals in the first 15 minutes of games this season; just four fewer than Elche have managed on the road in total (12).

Celta Vigo v Getafe

  • Celta Vigo have won all three previous home meetings with Getafe in La Liga, all by the odd goal.
  • The Blues are without a win in nine league games (D2 L7); their worst ever run under Luis Garcia.
  • Celta have lost four consecutive home games against sides from Madrid, though their last victory against a side from the capital at the Balaidos was in this fixture last term (2-1).
  • If they fail to score in this game, Getafe will have gone five games without a goal for the first time in their top-flight history.
  • Celta would be in fourth place in the table if only games in 2014 counted (13 points).
  • Between them, Charles (five goals) and Fabian Orellana (three) have scored 62% of Celta Vigo's home league goals this season.
  • Only Catania (34.9%) have a lower shooting accuracy than Getafe (35.3%) across the top five European leagues this season.
  • Of the seven goals Getafe have netted away from home in the league this term, only two have come in the first-half and both have arrived in exactly the fifth minute.
  • Rafinha has made more assists than any other Celta Vigo player this season (four).
Real Sociedad v Barcelona
  • Real Sociedad have lost none of their three home league meetings with Barcelona since returning to La Liga in 2010 (W2 D1).
  • The Anoeta is one of only three away grounds that Lionel Messi has scored in in La Liga but lost the game (with the Bernabeu and the Vicente Calderon).
  • Real Sociedad are the only side to have beaten Barcelona more than once on home soil over the last four seasons (twice).
  • Barcelona have never lost consecutive away league games against Real Sociedad since the Basque side moved to the Anoeta.
  • Lionel Messi has scored in the last four league meetings between the sides (five goals in total) and also netted in the Anoeta in the Copa del Rey this term.
  • If only first-half goals counted, Barcelona would be top of La Liga outright on 58 points; four ahead of Atletico Madrid (54).
  • Real Sociedad are unbeaten in nine home league games (W6 D3), keeping a clean sheet in each of their last three.
  • Barcelona are unbeaten in four away league games (W2 D2); a run that started following their only away defeat of the campaign so far (1-0 at the San Mames).
  • Neymar, who scored his first La Liga goal against Real Sociedad in the reverse fixture, has only scored one of his seven La Liga goals to date away from the Nou Camp.
  • Real Sociedad have scored 23 left-footed goals this season; more than any other side in the top five European leagues (Barcelona, 21).
  • Cesc Fabregas has made 12 assists this season; his best record in a single campaign since joining the Catalans.
  • Barcelona have earned a league-high seven points from losing positions on the road this term.

Almeria v Malaga

  • Almeria and Malaga have a perfectly identical record in previous La Liga meetings (three wins each, one draw).
  • Malaga are unbeaten in three league clashes with the Red-and-Whites (W2 D1), though both victories in this run came at La Rosaleda.
  • Almeria have the opportunity to win three consecutive Andalusian derbies for the first time in their La Liga history.
  • No side has taken more points from Andalusian derbies this season than Malaga, however (10, level with Sevilla).
  • Almeria could equal their record for consecutive home La Liga wins (four) and set a new record for consecutive home clean sheets (five) in this game.
  • Five of Almeria's last six league goals have come from set piece situations (two penalties, two from corners and one from a free-kick scenario).
  • Malaga have scored just one goal from outside the box all season; a joint-low with Atletico Madrid.
  • Almeria's substitutes have scored just one goal all campaign - a joint-league-low - while Malaga are the only side yet to concede to an opposition replacement.
  • Verza has scored three of Almeria's last five league goals, with two of them coming from the penalty spot.
Rayo Vallecano v Sevilla
  • Rayo Vallecano have won four of their last six home league meetings with Sevilla, drawing one and losing one.
  • Sevilla have only won two of their 13 top-flight trips to Vallecas overall (D3 L8), with both wins ending 1-0.
  • Sevilla, who have missed a joint-high three penalties this season, were awarded two spot-kicks in this fixture last season but failed to score with both.
  • Los Franjirrojos have won just three home games this term; the same number of games that Sevilla have won on the road.
  • Sevilla are currently enduring their longest run of league games without a victory under Unai Emery (six); the last manager to lose seven in a row for the Andalusian side was dismissed straight away (Marcelino in 2012).
  • Paco Jemez's side have scored 20% of their goals this term from the penalty spot; a league-high proportion.
  • Unai Emery's side have lost a league-high 15 points from winning positions this season.
  • Only Real Madrid (14) and Barcelona (12) have scored more goals from outside the area than Sevilla (seven) this season, while Rayo have conceded the most from distance (eight).
  • Rayo are one of only three sides (with Athletic and Granada) yet to lose a single point having scored the first goal of the game this campaign.

Betis v Athletic

  • Betis have won three of their last five league meetings with Athletic Bilbao (D1 L1), but only one of those victories was at home (2-1 in 2012).
  • The Lions have won two and lost just one of their last four trips to Seville to face Real Betis in La Liga (D1).
  • Benat, who recorded an assist against his old club in the reverse meeting, has only made three assists for Athletic this season; he made eight for Betis last term.
  • Betis have the opportunity to win successive league games at the Benito Villamarin for the first time since May 2013.
  • Athletic have still not lost successive league games this season.
  • The Green-and-Whites have only scored in two of their last five league games, with Ruben Castro getting all four goals across those two outings.
  • Ernesto Valverde has only won one of his five previous La Liga meetings with Real Betis as Athletic manager (D3 L1).
  • Only Alexis Sanchez (seven) has scored more La Liga goals than Ibai Gomez (six) in 2014.
  • Athletic have scored a joint-high 12 headed goals this season; Betis have conceded an outright-high 17 this way.
Valencia v Granada
  • Valencia have won all five league meetings with Granada since the Andalusian side returned to the top-flight; all by the odd goal.
  • Granada have lost their last four trips to the Mestalla in La Liga, failing to score in each of their last two.
  • Juan Antonio Pizzi's side are unbeaten in five league games (W2 D3); the longest unbeaten run recorded by los Che all season.
  • Granada have lost their last three away league games, conceding six goals and failing to score at all themselves.
  • Between them, Paco Alcacer and Sofiane Feghouli have contributed to 62% of Valencia's league goals under Juan Antonio Pizzi (eight of 13).
  • Granada have scored a league-high 29% of their goals from corner situations this term.
  • Only Athletic (30) have averaged more crosses per game than Valencia (26) in La Liga this season.
  • Diego Alves has saved five penalties in La Liga since the start of the 2010/11 campaign; the most of any goalkeeper (Victor Valdes, four).

Osasuna v Atletico Madrid

  • Atletico Madrid are unbeaten in eight league meetings with Osasuna (W7 D1).
  • Los Colchoneros have won their last three visits to Pamplona in La Liga, keeping a clean sheet in each of their last two.
  • Osasuna have kept two consecutive clean sheets; if they keep Atletico out in this game, they will record their best run of the season.
  • Thibaut Courtois kept his 12th clean sheet of the season last time out against Valladolid; he has made more shutouts than any other keeper this term.
  • Neither Real Madrid nor Barcelona, the other two joint-leaders at the moment, managed to win at El Sadar this season (two draws).
  • Always assuming three points for a win, Atletico Madrid have made their best ever start to a La Liga campaign after 24 games (60 points).
  • Osasuna and Real Betis are the only two teams yet to take a single point having conceded the first goal of the game in La Liga this season.
  • Atleti have conceded a league-high 38% of their goals in the final 15 minutes of games this term.
  • Osasuna have scored just four goals from set pieces all campaign; a league-low.
  • Diego Costa has scored more goals against Osasuna than against any other side in his La Liga career (nine).
Espanyol v Villarreal
  • Villarreal are unbeaten in 10 league meetings with Espanyol (W5 D5). Their last defeat against the Catalan side came back in January 2008 (3-0 in Montjuic).
  • Espanyol have scored a total of just one goal in their last 10 meetings with Villarreal combined, and that was in a 1-2 defeat in this season's reverse fixture.
  • There has only been one goal scored in the last four league meetings between these sides in Barcelona (three 0-0s and one 1-0 away win).
  • The Yellow Submarine have lost their last two league games; they have not lost three in a row in the Primera since March 2012.
  • Espanyol, on the other hand, have won their last two games; they have not won three league games in a row since February 2013, exactly a year ago.
  • Sergio Garcia has participated directly in five of his side's last six league goals (three goals, two assists).
  • Indeed, the Espanyol skipper has reached 10 goals this season; his record goal haul for a single La Liga campaign.
  • Marcelino Garcia Toral has only lost one of his seven meetings with Espanyol as a La Liga manager (W4 D2).
  • Villarreal have earned a league-high eight points with goals scored in the final 15 minutes of games this term.

Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th Valladolid have looked a mess defensively in their past couple of games and Levante should capitalize though the away side will struggle with Valladolid's play from the flanks. David Barral is in the mood at the moment and can toy with Valladolid's defence, while Ramos and Larsson should provide Guerra with the service he can thrive on. Both teams to score looks reasonable at the odds. BTTS 11/10 Bet365

Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th Valencia-Granada Under 2.5 I think odds have not been set the opposite way here.Valencia went to Cyprus just a couple of days back where they won 0:2 but were forced to use the best they had.Now with just 2 days to recover i don't think they will be 100% ready. In their last 6 games they scored and conceded plenty of goals but that was against Barcelona and other teams who play an attacking minded football and a 5:0 win over Betis who's defence is a complete mess.Granada on the other hand showed that even against Betis at home they won't go out and attack. They won 1:0 but i can say the the game should have ended 0:0.In their last 5 games Granada have scored (2 and both at home) against(4 2 of which at home and the other 2 against Real Madrid). Both teams have faced each other 5 times during the past 2 seasons,4 of which have finished under 1.5 and 1 over 2.5 with a late goal. Now the situation is very much the same.Tired Valencia against a team who rarely attacks and a 1:0 is the most commom outcome. So i will go with big stakes on under 2.5 @ 2.05 with bet365 and a small bet on CS-1:0 @7 2:1 Late 92min goal cost me the bet...

Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th Rayo Vallecano v Sevilla Usable line, but not very high price. Rayo is in the relegation zone and getting a lot of goals in every game, today both teams much needed victory. At home, Rayo have no choice, is not worth anything other than victory. Jemez not walk with half measures and so his players. On the other side, Sevilla, after stumbling on Sunday where missed a penalty, which has no other option start scoring 3 points in a row. The Andalusian team is playing well but no luck in front of goal. Sevilla have leftover weapons to overthrow the fragile defense of Rayo. Rayo Vallecano to got 16 overs in the 24 games played, scoring 25 goals and conceding 58, an average of 3.5 goals per game , come with 3 overs and 2 unders in the last 5 games played. Sevilla got 17 overs in the 24 matches played , scoring 42 goals and conceding 41, an average of 3.5 goals per game , come with 3 overs and 2 unders in the last 5 games played. Rayo Vallecano got home 9 overs in the 11 games played, scoring 16 goals and conceding 28 , an average of 4 goals per game, come with 4 overs and 1 under in the last 5 games played in their stadium. Away Sevilla obtained 8 overs in the 12 games played, scoring 20 goals and conceding 24 , an average of 3.7 goals per game , come with 3 overs and 2 unders in the last 5 visits. Match between two teams that have a very high average of goals , teams that have a big stake in this game, Rayo will not worth anything other than 3 points and Sevilla know these 3 points are important to keep in contention for European positions , are two very offensive teams but are quite "flojitos" at back conceding goals , I hope that Sunday morning is entertaining and have goals. Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th ESPANYOL v VILLAREAL Not sure where to go with this game. Both teams are completely inconsistent in almost all categories. Espanyol have interesting 1st half stats. In 9 1st halves they have conceded just 2 goals at home. They have 6 0-0 draws. Of those 6 games they have gone on to win the 2nd half 1-0 Am happy to have a longshot punt here just for 1 unit in each bet 0-0 half time and 1-0 FULL TIme is 9-1 bet365

Re: La Liga > February 21st - 24th Espanyol v Villareal Like neil says theres some strange stats 3 out of last 6 H2H have ended 0-0 Espanyol have failed to score in 35% of last 20 home games Villareal have failed to score in 35% of last 20 away games So im having a small tickle on 0-0 @ 9.6 and under 1.5gls @ 3.4
