Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 To repeat a constant theme from recent threads: Braintree are light on game-time. FGR at 19/20 (Skybet) looks very chunky. Ladbrokes go 7/4 on the HT/FT and that looks pretty sporting in the circumstances also.
Simeon Borisof
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 I like Tamworth to beat Hyde at home.About 2 weeks ago they already did it away so i don't see a reason not to do it at home.More than that Hyde had a game yesterday which of course they lost and the fatigue could be a decisive factor here.Last game Tamworth had was 10 days back while Hyde will have only 2 days to recover.I suppose they don't have such a long roster to rotate much.Hyde's problems have been well documented by you guys and their recent form speaks for itself so i don't see a reason to go through this again so let's skip it.I am waiting for bet365 to offer some handicaps but given the fact the HW is priced 1.6 i suppose -1 AH would be about 2.10 so i am more than happy to take it or i will raise the stake and go for a clear HW. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Skybet's price about FGR didn't survive too long last night but Coral are up this morning with 11/10. The new regime has a decent home record - five wins and a draw in the league - and they have been playing a bit more football than Braintree. I don't do my own fixed odds prices in the Prem as I usually concentrate on the spreads (I prefer rollercoasters), so I won't have the same feel for the books that addpea and others do, but I can't fathom a number about FGR which is that far north of 4/5. And BetVics have also trumped Ladbrokes HT/FT FGR offering, with a 19/10 quote.
Darran
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 I think it is a fair shout. FGR have been hard to beat at home all season and it seems the new manager is changing things around to get the team he wants and they seem to be improving. Braintree are surely going to be rusty although there is a fair chance this game might get called off as the weather on Tuesday is meant to be pretty awful. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Coral's HT/FT FGR is 11/5 - the best we've seen so far.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 One price of particular interest to this thread is Enfield/Bury, although it hasn't made it to odds-comparison for some reason. BetVics go 7/4 and Bet365 13/8 about Enfield - very sporting prices in the circumstances. Another club having major personnel difficulties that we've been into on here of late is Burnham. On Tuesday, Weymouth host them and are a best of 4/7 at BetVics. For a moment this afternoon, Bet365 were offering a monster 11/10 - quite astonishing in the circumstances. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Another early price that is way higher than I have it is St Albans City at 5/4 with Marathon for the visit of Bideford. Biddy have been superb this season but they have had a few bodies in and out which has disrupted them recently - it's only one away win in seven in the league. Their only other point in that sequence came in a 2-2 draw at Totton, which is a pretty poor result. St Albans are finally doing something about establishing themselves in the top three - eight unbeaten and 24 scored this year, and unbeaten in home since they played Stourbridge in September. They are 4/5 shots.

Should Truro make it and find the game on, the price about Biggleswade is a decent one.

Darran
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Going off topic slightly but I would imagine most of you aren't aware that the Conference signed a streaming deal with At The Races. Now it seems that the deal allows them to film and stream any games that don't take place at 3pm on a Saturday and they can take the main camera stream from any live game on BT Sport. I would imagine they would look to do a deal with a bookie to show games and obviously should open up options for punters.
Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Dover Athletic at home to Maidenhead United (19/20 Marathon) Maidenhead have been better since the clocks went back but I think there is value in the home side, who in general terms are some way off where the management want them to be but shouldn't really be at this high a mark. Dover do their best work away but Maidenhead don't have a clinical enough counter-attacking game to exploit and defensive deficiencies that Dover have. Guiseley at home to Harrogate Town (2/1 Marathon) Successive defeats to Telford, Barrow and Worcester explain the lumpy nature of the price about Guiseley, but there have more to offer, I think. They were competitive in all those games. Harrogate are five unbeaten and on a roll but they are conceding and won't be able to reprise the backs-to-the-wall effort of Worcester on Saturday. This looks to me like an evenly matched shoot-out between two attacking teams and I'm prepared to risk Guiseley at a decent number. I'm also on St Albans tonight, and Enfield and Weymouth tomorrow. As regulars here will know, Enfield have perked up under George Borg's stewardship and results are starting to come. They don't carry the same sort of edge as Leiston had last week when they went to Bury but at a best of 19/10 now they have a sporting chance. There's some light rain due across the country today and a band of really nasty stuff coming in tomorrow - annoying, because it looks clear behind it, most of it will be arriving at lunchtime inspection time. There are bound to be more weather casualties.
Darran
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Have followed Ships in on St Albans, FGR, Enfield and Guiseley. The one other bet I like is Dartford at a big price of 7/2. They have improved in recent weeks having beaten Kiddie, drawn with Cambridge and beaten Wrexham in their last three. Grimsby could only draw against Southport on Saturday and the home side look a sporting price to gain another crucial 3 pts in their battle for survival. Shipsupstreets
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 A couple of spread plays tonight. A lot appeals in the FGR/Braintree game, but I'll content myself with a sell of the 2nd FGR goal at 73 with Spreadex. Both sides will need to blow some cobwebs off, but I quite like the way Ady Pennock is approaching the end of the season by basically issuing a play-for-your-place call to his overweight squad. If they start with a spurt, Braintree could be two down quite early so there is good upside to be had. I've also sold the Luton 2nd at 74 with Spreadex. The risk is that Luton are rusty but it might help that Macc have a better attacking line-up these days and that should make for an open game. Finally, a sell of Woking's second at 80 with Sporting Index. This is a risk - it sounds like a 0-0, 1-0, 0-1 pitch - but Woking have more attacking prowess with their window business and Salisbury have been reshuffling a bit with injuries. boggen
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Macclesfield - Luton Conference Premier England Tuesday 11/2 20:45 Prediction: Macclesfield Odds: 3,75 Stake: 4/10 Bookmaker: Ladbrokes We smell a upset here, Macclesfield away is a tough game for leaders Luton. Macclesfield edged a 1-1 draw away to Luton back in August, a game Luton still refers as their toughest home game of the season so far. Obviously Luton is a classide for this division, clear promotion contenders. Macclesfield showing great form, winning 6 out of the last 7 matches. A side that has players that could hurt Luton. Are we looking at Luton's first defeat in the league since mid September? We don't think it's unlikely. Watch out for Macclesfield!
Darran
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 Yep FGR game is off the pitch still looks in a right mess. Inspections at quite a few matches as well.

LondonHibs
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 The Enfield/Bury match should be on and the precautionary 3.30 inspection should be a formality. Jack Lucas and a handful of volunteers are currently working on the pitch but everything should be fine as no more rain is forecast. Alas - all the bigger prices have gone and 13/8 looks top price Enfield.

LondonHibs
Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Feb 10-13 I thought it was meant to rain all day today? It rained a bit this morning but it's cleared and there's currently bright sunshine in North London. The wind has even dropped and it's a rather pleasant afternoon. BTW - the pitch looks fantastic and not playing Lewes at the weekend was a bonus.
