Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Genoa - Sampdoria If take the statistics only on personal meetings , the odds can be justified , but if push from the current situation , the clubs have to show a very entertaining game. Just last fights show that both teams began to hammer in the attack. This match would move , and may have suffered on Monday, as feared provocation by the fans. Support for both clubs expected hot. Based on the standings , points need more Sampdoria and will do anything to get them. Genoa is in the middle of the table , keeping a respectable distance of 10 points from the relegation zone. Matches between these two teams are always hard , which is not surprising , because it is a derby. Home team had a great last two games , taking four points in games against strong clubs - Inter and Fiorentina. Especially liked the game against viola in which Genoa has arranged a real battle with challenger for one of the trips in the Champions League. Sampdoria with the arrival of Sinisa Mihajlovic changed. Of course, against the giants it is difficult to play, but in these matches Samp does not look poor , and does not hesitate to attack. Even in Torino with genoese scored two goals. In the match against middle placed teams Samp already imposes its conditions. So , at home v Udinese "broke" - 3:0 , and in the match against Bologna bit unlucky - 1:1. In any case, it is clear that both teams are on the move and the match will be fighting. Sit in the defense , no one will , but a draw is very likely , so it's best to take both to score. Odds 2.0 with William Hill

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th As a general fan I am not crazy about Italian Football. I find it slow, and sometimes it resembles pantomime and Italian tragedy :cry but It is delivering some absolute great games , performances and betting opportunities. IMO Juventus and Man City are the two top performing teams in Europe. Juventus are playing stunning football. Their shape, dominance, game control, playing pattern is a thing of beauty. They have a truly talented squad, with Pogba, Pirlo, Llorente, Tevez all playing fantastically well. And the star of the show is Arturo Vidal. He is fantastic. His workrate and running power is phenomenal (Moyes should have moved heaven and earth for this guy in Jan). Juventus are away to Verona this weekend and should win. They are not a great 1st half team away from home winning just 2 halves and drawing 7. 2nd half they are the BEST team in Europe on the road. 9 wins in 11 games, 16 goals for and 5 against. I like them to win the 2nd half in this game , for 6 units at odds of 1.8 on paddypower, 1.73 various this is my 'banker' :hope bet for the week

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Why are Juventus dropping? In my opinion they were way, waaaaay too big favourites to begin with. Verona has something like 8-0-3 at home and I think that it's time for a draw at home and that is my only bet so far to 4.9. Verona hasn't done much in their transfer window and have only had a few loan deals in both directions and even if they have played badly in their last few home games I think they have a great chance at taking a point. If I was to lay the odds then I would have had Juve at something like 1.65-1.70, I think they will win rougly 3 out of 5 games away at Verona. Do Verona have any injuries that could justify the odds?

I haven't studied the value of your bet, but I've noticed Juventus have steadily improved since moving into their new ground a few years ago. They seem to be remarkably consistent these days, often not settling for narrow wins, and often coming back if they are behind in a game.

They seem to be remarkably consistent these days, often not settling for narrow wins, and often coming back if they are behind in a game.[/quote'] I watched Juv the last 2 weeks. Against Lazio they had Buffon sent off early and went 1-0 down with the penalty. Their 10 men played Lazio off the park in the second half for a 1-1 draw. Last week they beat Inter convincingly, 3-0 up and cruising. They have a seriously good squad, and deserve to be grouped with Chelsea, Man City, Real Madrid, Bayern, PSG in performance and play. If Vidal is not the best workhorse attacking midfielder in Europe at the moment who is ? IMO they have the best balanced midfield in Europe (Vidal, Pirlo, Pogba, Marchisio) Their attacking options are also excellent with Tevez and Llorente. I would not be surprised to see them go to the final of the Champions League, they are that good at the moment. Verona played two of the top 3 at home last 2 home games. They lost 1-3 to Roma losing HT 0-1 They last 0-3 to Napoli losing HT 0-1 IMO Juventus are better than Napoli and Roma and the 1.91 for HT/FT Juventus maybe represents better value than the now 1.73 for Juv to win the second half.

LOL, Somehow I don't think Juventus will be making the final of the Champions League. Even if they hadn't managed to bungle their way out of that tournament they are still not good enough to compete with the best teams in Europe, the system they play can be exploited very easily outside of Italy. Still, I agree with everyone's comments about how good they are in this division, no-one can compete with them in Serie A, but that's been the status quo for some time now.

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th I like goals in Napoli-Milan. I favour the home team in this quite heavily, but given that neither team can defend capably at the moment, goals is a shoe in IMO. I'll have to look at the home side for the win or on a handicap as I'm undecided at the moment. Milan have looked lost and if Napoli play like they did against Roma mid-week they will take Milan apart.

:\ That gaff about sums up my week so far . I managed to get Man City wrong on Monday Tues I jumped in with Fulham, who played crapo against Sheffield United. Wednesday NEC and NAC (over 2.5 finished 1-1) , and Vitesse v Twente fcked me up and Vitesse went scoreless . Thursday I went for Ajax v Grongigen , Ajax to win to nil and No BTTS (both got reamed, score 2-1) Two green-peas and a scrambled egg for a brain at the moment :ok I had'nt been following CHampions league much and just assumed they had made it. Not possible for this team on current form not to qualify from their group

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th I watched Verona at home to Roma the other week and wasn't very impressed by them, Roma were playing quite conservatively for much of the game but when Roma stepped it up for periods of the game they were unable to live with them and it was a comfortable victory in the end, even looking at their most recent results at home they obviously struggle against the better sides with that 3-1 against Roma and a 3-0 defeat to Napoli, they lost Jorginho to Napoli and that seems to have had an effect on them as he was an important player, Luca Toni will cause problems as usual. I already had a punt of Juve -1.0AH earlier in the week, 1.66 sbobet.

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Big news regarding the captain of Bologna! He signed a mega deal for Lippi's team in China. Huge blow for Bologna cause he was one of the few players who could actually create something.. Kone is also suspended who scored 4 goals so far, Moscardelli is also suspended. I already wanted to back Torino but now I'll be looking at win to nil and Torino -1 for sure. Great home team and I expect a strong performance. Odds will drop fast so be quick!!!! http://www.bolognafc.it/news.asp?id=6371#.UvSVls7pH6Q

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Torino FC - Bologna Pick: home win @ 1,70. I'm a torino's fan and I go to the stadium every week, so I see nearly what's happening to my team. Bologna losts its best football player, Diamanti Who will go to play in China. Cerci will be part of the match with Immobile, 21 goals Togheter. This match will be end 1-0 or 2-0, even if Bologna needs points to save itself, but we are more team than theme. good luck

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th What about udinese, can they beat chievo? i saw that Allan and Pinzzi are suspended for this match, how important are they? Udinese have 6 points more then first team in relegation zone and playing against direct competitor for staying in seria a and with win they will make their situation a little easier...They simply don't deserve place where they are now.Chievo with Catania scores least goals in league and they have 2-4-5 score in away games...This is something that shouldn't scare home team, but i don't see why odds rising on home win?

Udinese have 6 points more then first team in relegation zone and playing against direct competitor for staying in seria a and with win they will make their situation a little easier...They simply don't deserve place where they are now.Chievo with Catania scores least goals in league and they have 2-4-5 score in away games...This is something that shouldn't scare home team, but i don't see why odds rising on home win?[/quote'] Allan is Udinese's star performer and key central midfielder.

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Atalanta last week was very aggressive because they lost against Napoli in Coppa Italia not because Napoli's stronger but there was a referee's mistake. Atalanta at home it's a very difficult team. Milan is a poor team, they were lucky to get the 1-1 with Torino FC, and they will go to San Paolo that will seem The Hell. Higuain & co. are very angry because they lost with Rome also, in Coppa Italia. I Think that Napoli will win 2-1 or 3-1, Higuain anytime scorer.

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th

I like them to win the 2nd half in this game , for 6 units at odds of 1.8 on paddypower, 1.73 various
Neilovan, I'm a big fan of your work, your writeups are solid and for the most part, I find your thinking sound. But, of late, I have found you making a lot more bets of this nature rather than full game bets. Now, please take no offense, but I do not like these bets one bit. You are making a big bet on a second half bet before the game begins. Why not rather wait and wager in-game? I watch almost all of Juve games, and agree that they are a stronger second half side. Reason being, they usually dominate possession so much in the first half, teams tire against them. However, it is very easy for them to take the foot off the gas pedal if they are ahead 1-0, 2-0 at ht. Further, what happens if they get a red in the first half or an injury to a key player? I've read a lot of punters on this forum and have quite a bit of respect for a few of them, but why are everyone making their biggest plays with only partial information available to them? Before lineups. Weather reports. Making second half plays without seeing the flow of play. I dunno. When I try to formulate my plays, I attempt to handicap the game with probable information. If I feel I have an edge, I'll play it, and when I have fuller information, I will add to my play (or not). Please don't take offense to this post. I wish you luck with your bet. I will more than likely be on Juve in some fashion this weekend too. :ok

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th I bet mostly on stats. I don't really care which players are in or out of teams unless they are major players. Rooney and van Persie for United, Aguero and Negrado for City, Suarez for Liverpool, Messi for Barcelona Ronaldo for Real, Zlatan for PSG. Otherwise my feeling is that the importance of one individual in a team sport is somewhat overdone. The loss or inclusion of these 'lesser' players is not massively important. Football is such a weird betting game. Your side can dominate the game and draw or lose. This does'nt really happen in rugby. There is an element of luck in this game that is undeniable.... If I see situations where the bookies implied odds are out of synch with the stats I am interested. I can't afford to wait until Friday or game time with my picks, as people come to my websites looking for info and an edge every day of the week. If I am making 50 3-legged bets a week, I need to win about 1/3 of them to be breaking even or just winning. If I win 2/5th's I am in the money, and anything more , the big bucks are coming. To me the forum is terrific, because it gives people such an easy platform to interact, express opinions, different betting styles and strategy's. There is a very diverse group of bettors, and everyone falls back to what works for them when it comes to betting. I was doing a lot of over/under 2.5 betting but the odds are getting worse and worse as the bookies diminish that market (Eredivise is almost unbettable) I also have no ability to bet in game, other than win/draw/loss which is slim pickings. To me if you find the form teams (either the very good or the very bad) you are already on track. How many of them are there at any period of a season . Maybe 15 in Europe at any time... Real Madrid, PSG, Man City , Chelsea, Ath Madrid, Ath Bilbao (home) Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Roma (with Totti), Barcelona (with Messi), or the bad teams Ajaccio, SOchaux, Catania, Pacos Ferrera,Betis Sevilla The first group is going to win and score goals consistently, and the second group will struggle and get beat more often than not. I am looking for bets , based on stats , and very good odds. Your win rate does go down, but you do win more when you win. It's a delicate trade-off for me 2 units is a standard bet when I am betting 6 units, everything is in place for this to be a winner. I have only ever posted 10 units twice on this forum and both times the team won. I am pretty confident on Juv here.

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th With Torino odds dropping below 1,72 I see a better choice in Torino Over 1,5 Team Goals at 1,83 with bet365. Enough attacking power with the hosts to score 2 or more. Medium stake... GL P.S. Can't resist at HT - Over 4,5 Goals at 2,20 with medium stake and Over 5,5 at 5,00 with small stake. Game looks open enough, should be more goals, FINGERS CROSSED!

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th

Any opinions about Sampdoria today ? Odds on home win looks good.
I tell you what I love about Sampdoria (nothing springs to mind :D) Seriously though... They are the best team in Europe for more 2nd half goals than 1st half goals at home in Europe. In 11 games at home they have more 2nd half goals in 10 games. They have the biggest 2nd half - 1st half differential in Europe of 19 goals. 5 1st half match goals and 24 second half. Their 5 1st half match goals is the 3rd lowest in Europe. Add to these unreal stats is a crazy 1st half scoring record from Cagliari. They have just 1 1st half goal away this season in 10 away games, and just 3 match goals in 9 away 1st halves. CAG:LIARI have not scored a goal in an away 1st half in 9 games. NOT 1 :eek This game is pointing to very low 1st half goal numbers, and a stronger second half. HT draw FT Sampdoria is 5.25 on betvictor (1 unit) highest scoring half :2nd is 2.25 on bwin and 2.2 various (6 units for me) 0-0 1st half is 2.45 williamhill 1 unit under 2.5 goals in the match is very low odds of 1.53 bet365 (which is best left alone) Amazingly when Juv whip Verona and Sampdoria go more 2nd hlf goals, I shall be a winner this week (seemed like mission impossible on Thurs). The birds shall sing again, and the sun shall restore warmth and brightness. Life will return to it's beautiful state ... but I digress :notworthy

Re: Serie A > February 3rd - 9th Could someone please explain the odds of the Parma-Catania-Match today? 3-Way it´s about 1.5-4-6.50. To be honest i didn´t watch a game of both teams for a while, but stats are telling that Catania earned 1(!) point the whole season away. It was the last away-game at a struggling inter. Also they didn´t lose the last 2 games. But Parma won their last 4 and should beat Catania maybe in 8 of 10 occasions here, shouldn´t they? So, is the pure 3-Way-bet value in your oppinions? Did i miss some important team-news? If not i will play this big i think.
