Re: MPN Poker Tour - Next leg (Tbilisi) Spring tbc 2015 Meh, quite disappointed it's in Dublin. I have a €200 final round qualifier ticket in my account to use which I was saving for the next leg as Tblisi is on the day I fly home from holiday, but I've been to Dublin loads of times now (and quite recent for the Irish Open), would have been nice to try to win a package to somewhere else. Obviously I won't be moaning if I do actually manage to turn the ticket into a package... :)

Quick review of the trip.....the tournament was in Montecasino which is basically a poker only casino type place....seems to hold lots of poker tournaments - has the MPS series and the big WPT all there in next few weeks.  The poker room is located in a business suburb of Vienna (10-15mins on tube into city centre) in a 80's entertainment complex - has bowling alley, cinema, pool hall and numerous bars and restaurants to cater for most.  The poker room itself was fairly standard - had about 40 tournament tables and then another 10 or so cash tables.  The one and only major drawback is that people are allowed to smoke inside so being from UK where this is not allowed, the smoke is one of the first thing you notice and if you are sitting in there for 12hrs + it can be a problem.  The actual tournament was run very very well and other than the odd call to the floor I think things went very smoothly for them.  The start time is definitely a point to note - Day 1 started at 5pm and went on until 3.3am!  I can see why they do this as it enables them to run turbo satellites earlier in the day and also capture locals after work hours for the main event.  I am not totally sure how I feel about it as it enable me to do some sight seeing earlier in the day rather than have to write the day off if the start had been earlier.  Saying that I made it to the end of day1 and was very tired on day 2 at the 2pm start!  I know this is a hot topic for WSOP this year so it will be interesting to see what prevails in the poker world over the next year with start times.    All in all it was very well organised whole trip and 32red and Nick Diaz were very good at organising things - i.e they invited me to various different activities over the weekend when I wasn't playing.  If you do get a chance I would recommend Vienna as a poker destination, 32red poker as hosts and the MPNPT as decent low level tourney to play in.
