Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Tempted to take Denmark outright but not sure how much (if any) value is there. They had an easy draw and they will most probably convincingly top the group. Home advantage is big here and and they have experienced team. Might have a deeper look tomorrow.

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Woke up to see Denmark outright odds slashed to 2,40. Was 3,00 yesterday. No value there for sure now and I'm staying away. Other top contenders in Spain and France have some notable missings in their teams and I'm yet to check the Croats. No bet on the outright. In the opening game between Iceland and Norway today, I think Norway is well capable of an upset as Icelanders are hit by injuries and the support from the stands should be huge for the Norwegians. Won't make any bet however.

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Denmark v Macedonia +7,5 @ 2,00 bet365 (5/10) Hosts are the absolute favourite to win this one. Macedonia squad had problems with the flight and they arrived just yesterday in Denmark. Few days ago five players were hit by stomach virus but they are all fit now. Mojsovski is injured and will be missed as well as couple of others not that important players. It's expected great support for Denmark as 15000 tickets are sold in for todays match in Herning. And those are the reasons why the market is overreacting here imo. I was considering Macedonia on +6,5 hcp at 1,85 as it ussualy takes a while in these tournaments for the big guns to find their rhythm and Macedonia is strong team. Moreover nobody expect Macedonia to win this game and all the pressure is on the hosts. Eggert and Lauge are unavailable for Denmark and it will be interesting to see how they'll cope with that. At this current hcp line and even money for Macedonia is a must try for me. Pinnacle offering the best odds at 2,20 GL :hope

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark

Does somebody know why Spain's odds against Iceland raised from 1.25 up to 1.40?
Have no idea. 4 units bet on Macedonia at 2,9 for me. If this was played on matchday one, odds would've been other way round. Austrians showed solid game and their performance so far on the C'ship is surprisingly good. Both teams are qualified (assuming Denmark beats Czech later) for the second phase but it's still important match as the winner will progress with these 'two' pts there. Macedonia underperformed so far and I think they'll up their game here. Opening odds were even and I have no idea why Austria is such a heavy fav now. Experience is decisive in this kind of games and it's undoubtedly on Macedonia side, as well as the value :hope

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark it was nice winner yesterday :beer I'll have a try on Belarus to beat Montenegro (-1,5) at 1,90 for 4 units stake tonight. Montenegro had change of generation prior to this c'ship and they are one of the youngest participants here. They are also struggling with injuries in the last couple of days and the likes of Markovic, Simovic and Vujovic are all on the list of missing for this match. Belarus on the other hand is injury free for this game and whats most important Barcelona star Rutnenka is fully fit and expected to make the difference here as hes class above. Its important game as the winner will advance in the next phase and even though i was dissapointed with Belorusians on matchday 1 (Rutenka wasn't playing) i still think they'll have to much for Montenegrins tonight and will take the risk with them.

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Second phase kicks-off today and there are two groups now. The winner and the runner up of each group are going to the semifinals. Any other team bar Denmark, Spain, France and Croatia in the semifinal would be a huge surprise imo. [TABLE=class: couponTable]

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Macedonia underrated once again here imo. It's true that they have awful H2H record against Hungary loosing 4 of 4, but Hungary isn't the team once was and they are yet to win a match on this championship. Its important that this match is going to be played in Herning where Macedonia played the first phase matches a they should be more suited. Another important factor which should be considered is that Macedonian team will be boosted by Pribak (Serbian player) who wasn't in contention for the first round matches. Hes a great player and with him in the team there will be a lot more options both offensively and defensively. I think there is some value at those odds on Macedonia, but won't be making any bets however.

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Not much interest here. Group phase is now over and the big four made it to the semi finals as expected. Iceland vs Poland fight for the 5th place. [TABLE=class: couponTable]

Re: European Handball Championship 2014 // 12-26 January - Denmark Denmark vs France in the final and I strongly fancy the Danes here. Both of these have played twice in the Euro finals till now and both have never lost there. First and foremost I think quality is on Denmark side, they have the better team, better GK's, and the better coach. Things to consider is that for Denmark coach Wilbek this will be the last match and having won all matches on this c'ship it's hard to see slipping in this one and not retiring in style. Also the crowd in Herning will be on their side. There was a lot of criticism for the organisators as Danes are playing all of their matches in Herning and not having to travel which was seen as unfair. That shows their determination to get the gold imo. Another thing are the referees, I don't know who are the refs today but expect them to be on the hosts side if things get tight, pressured by the huge crowd as was the case in the other matches and as it's always the case on this kind of big tournaments. France had a lot of ups and downs in the semi-final against Spain but they somehow managed to win, and it was convincing +3 win at the end. But for example, they have only scored 2 goals in 15 mins interval. Their goalkeeper Dumoulin have had his day managing incredible 49% saves and most of them came in key moments. Spain on the other side had only 19% gk's saves and that was them main reason for the end result. To sum things up, I think Denmark will blow out the French here. They have the best gk in the world in the name of Landin atm. It was visible that France get very tired in the final quarters of the second round matches here and I suspect if they could give a fight on Denmark. Everything points to a Denmark win and I'll have a full stake bet on them, although divided. GL Denmark -1,5 @ 1,95 bwin 8/10 & Denmark -4,5 @ 3,35 365 2/10
