After the shambles of an Ashes series England now have to endure 5 ODIs and 3 T20s before they can come home. The series begins on Sunday and all eight matches are live on Sky. The 3 T20s will be particularly competitive with the World T20 only a couple of months away. Schedule: [TABLE=width: 630]

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series ODI Series preview: 2pts Australia to win 5-0 6/1 Stan James In each of the last four Ashes series the side who has won the urn has lost the ODI series that has followed but this tour has been such a train wreck for England and the fall out from it is going to be so big that I’m not convinced England will win this series. In fact if Australia get on a roll early they will be eyeing up another 5-0 win which looks a touch overpriced at 6/1. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 1st ODI preview: 4pts J.Faulkner's Performance Pts - 40&Over 5/6 Bet365 In recent months we have seen James Faulkner turn himself into a very competitive one day cricketer. He has been bowling fantastically in the Big Bash recently and in India we saw all his batting talents too so I think his performance line could be a touch low on his home ground. He bowls at the death where cheap wickets come along and he’s likely to bat at seven or eight where he can pin his ears back and let fly. Other genuine all rounders often have targets around 50 so the 40 for Faulkner is worth taking. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 2nd ODI preview: 4pts A.Cook - Under 25.5 runs 5/6 Ladbrokes Alastair Cook’s form on this tour has been incredibly poor by his standards. In seven of his last ten innings in tests and ODIs he has failed to make double figures and he too looks like a man who has his head in a jam jar. Johnson terrorised him in the Ashes series and he’s back for more here so we could see yet another failure from the England captain even though he has good memories on this ground. I don't think you can just look at figures and make assumptions. Jordan should've had 3 wickets and could easily have had 5 while Warner was out to Stokes there's absolutely no doubt about that. As a collective group that attack is inexperienced but it could've been a lot different in the first game.

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series kev, I havent been watching the ODI's, so hopefully u can advise here. You know i dont like taking short prices, let alone as short as 1.34 but johnson is back and really can one see any other result than the aussie win. given how the tour has played out, even the 1.34 is looking value. I am thinking about betting on it. was the first odi close and were stats misleading?

They had plenty in the tank but Warner and Finch both had 9 lives. England didn't make enough runs though. Expect that to be a theme in this series.

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series Wow, what a bowling S--t shower from England Just useless. 1 yorker in 15 balls. Makes Faulkner look like a world beater, when he's nothing more than a #9 bunny 2 Length 'hit me' balls in the 2nd last over. Nauseating to see the Aussie's win. And I am not English Threw that one away .... Not seeing great death bowling. Well pitched up and 1 ft outside the off stump. Difficult to hit that over point for 6 !

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 3rd ODI preview: 4pts G.Maxwell's Performance Pts - 35&Over 5/6 Bet365 Glenn Maxwell had a good game in Brisbane with a couple of wickets and a quickfire 50 and I see no reason why he shouldn’t go just as well here given that the wicket is likely to carry some turn and his batting should still be effective, more so perhaps if Bailey isn’t passed fit. He is a gun fielder too so he’ll be in all the likely catching positions so put the three together and we should see more than 35pts from him again after his 114pt haul last time out. Is the bet a loser even if Maxwell doesn't get a shot at batting?

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 4th ODI preview: 4pts Over 7.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill This ground in Perth isn’t the biggest so I think we can expect to see a few sixes hit, especially with no pressure of a series outcome at stake. England have been pants in this series so far but they’ve maintained their ability to clear the ropes while Australia are not without their own big hitters. The sixes line in this match is 7.5 which has been covered in the last two matches and should be covered here too. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series Not one person looking at the ODI game ? England surely can defend 316. Aussies fielding is atrocious. This is a very light AUssie batting line-up AMAZED no-on is jumping on England to defend this score I'm getting 1.62 and I can't resist it for 4 units here England made 100 runs in 13.6 overs, and they are giving 1.9 for over 75 runs for Aussie 15 overs :) WHAT A GIFT :nana Hopefully the Aussies get off to a fast start and then go to pieces :D

bad luck there. hopefully england defend now. think the price of 1.62 was not much value though. batting pitch, aussies bat deep, and nowadays 300 is the same as 250 10 years ago. btw which bookie was the o/u bet with

How did you work these things out? England wouldn't have defended 350 in the last game let alone 316 in a day game. As it turns out it looks like it will need some Maxwell/Faulkner magic but I never saw anything in the first three games to suggest this would be defended. Not sure what Australia's fielding has to do with them chasing down a score :unsure. You could argue with some justification that this is Australia's longest batting line up of the series. Literally everyone in their line up can bat. Just because it is missing Clarke doesn't make it a 'light batting line up'. It didn't exactly miss Clarke in India :ok

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 5th ODI preview: 5pts Over 9.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill The boundaries on this ground are so small by today’s standard square of the wicket that I fail to see how we won’t see a lot of sixes. Even the straight boundary to the new stand isn’t the longest so having seen a batch of sixes in Perth I expect just the same in this match. Shane Watson’s return should in theory help with the six hitting so over 9.5 sixes looks the call to me. Why do more bookies not over this market? I can't afford to have accounts with several different bookies plus William Hill seem to be one of the few to offer odds on this market and I'm banned from having an account on their site.

Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series T20 series preview: 4pts England to win T20 series 13/8 BetVictor Australia’s T20 record has never been particularly crash hot and I think they are vulnerable favourites in this series. England haven’t always been fantastic in this format of the game but when they’ve taken it seriously they have often got results and I think they are good value to get a result in this series too. England will be serious about the series with the World T20 just over a month away while Australia’s immediate priority is their tour of South Africa so at 13/8 I’ll take England here. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series Top Aus Series Bat preview: 1pt G.Maxwell Top Australia Series Batsman 15/2 Paddy Power One man who should play all three matches is Glenn Maxwell and he looks a touch overpriced at 15/2 in this market. Maxwell can hit a cricket ball a long way and he’ll have faced plenty of this attack in his two county stints. As the main spinner in the squad we know he’ll be heavily involved and there’s every chance he could bat at number three in this series. If that is the case he’s no 15/2 shot at the rate he scores his runs. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series Top England Series Bowler preview: 2pts B.Stokes Top England Series Bowler 5/1 Ladbrokes England haven’t had many positives on this tour but one man who has been a big positive is Ben Stokes and I think he’s a little overpriced to be England’s top wicket taker in this series. The Durham man has just finished as the top wicket taker in the recent ODI series for England and given that he is likely to be bowling at the death in this series I think he is good value at 5/1. He has pace and gets bounce but has a change of pace too so 5/1 looks more than fair. Re: Australia vs England - ODI & T20 Series 1st T20 preview: 5pts Over 10.5 sixes 5/6 William Hill Having seen where the wicket for this match is on the Hobart square I expect to see a lot of sixes. This might be an Australia side missing a few top names but the ones coming in can all smoke a long ball while England have big hitters most of the way down their order. The wicket is on the edge of the square so there is an incredible short square boundary and given that the straight boundaries aren’t the longest I expect to see a lot of balls clear the ropes in this match.
