Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th AK Alkmaar v Shakhter Karagandy I've taken this info from another forum but I have looked into it and it seems to check out. Shakhter Karagandy have their domestic cup final on Sat and as such have left a number of first choice players at home. I can confirm from their website that 6 starters from their home game against AZ won't travel - some of these spellings might be wrong as it's through google translate - gk Mokin, defs Dzhidich and Poryvaev, midfielder Vichyus and forwards Huzhnichenko and captain Finonchenko (who scored the goal in the first leg). AZ are certainly a stronger home team than away, it would put them in a very strong position to qualify if they win this game. The odds are pretty poor but I can't imagine they will drop too much more, the straight win is 1.25 at a few places with the -1.5AH at 1.65ish with a few. Shakhter will prob sit pretty deep and this might be an in-play one for me, AZ might take a while to break them down and I would want the odds a bit higher for an EL game.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Kuban Krasnodar v Swansea Michu is out for Swansea tomorrow along with Hernandez, Monk and Shelvey. Pretty big losses to be fair but because of such Swansea have drifted out to an attractive price in my opinion. Michael Laudrup is adamant that he is going to win this game, which is a plus for me as motivation is always a factor. He quoted: "I've said a lot of times the team has character and they will show it," said Laudrup. "But it is always good to get confirmation of something and I am sure we will see a reaction from the team because they are so disappointed at this loss. "The Kuban game on Thursday is a five-hour flight away and four hours' time difference. It's a lot of travelling. "But I've said it before and I will say again, the reason for that is that we deserve it, we won the League Cup last year so we are in Europe. We will try to go to Russia and win because we have some history with them after they scored in the last seconds against us in Swansea." Swansea are on top of the group at the moment and they will want to stay there, Valencia are only 1 point behind. The Russians are 8th in the Russian league, Valencia beat them 2-0 in Russia so I don't think Swansea will fear them. Swansea Draw No Bet - 5 Points @ 2.00 Paddy Power

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th APOEL Nicosia v Bordeaux There is no better time to be playing APOEL, they are playing shocking stuff domestically and also in the Europa League. The French side have crept up Ligue 1 and are on a great run of form. Beat Souchaux 4-1, got a great 1-1 draw in Lyon, beat APOEL 2-1 at home, beat Montpellier 2-0 at home and had a good win last time out beating Nice 2-1 away from home. APOEL have lost 3 of their last 4 domestic games only scoring one goal in the process. They are 6th in the Cypriot league which is very poor for this level and they have gone 7 Europe League games without a win too! They lost their last 3 Europa League home games in a row to average sides like Neftçi, Zulte-Waregem and Frankfurt! Definitely cannot see the French side losing this game. Bordeaux Draw No Bet - 5 Points @ 1.91 Boylesports

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Ludogorets are worth trusting with a small to medium stake, at 1,95 by Bet365. They are learning really fast in Europe, last years seconds away from the group stage in CL, this season out due to a naive and ''enthusiastic'' first game vs Basel at home. Certainly though in the Europa League they do everything so far ''by the book''. Both away games at PSV and Chernomorets were played in a similar way and all 3 points taken - very tight pressing game vs opponents at every point of the field, all 90 minutes, and ''killer''-counters. Worth pointing that Ludogorets won these 2 games vs ''on paper'' a far more physical sides, and in the case of PSV - an ''institutional'' team in Europe, with far more quality. The home game vs Dynamo Zagreb was a thrashing and a revenge for the previous season and it was won again in a most impressive way, building up pressure on the opponent gradually, keeping high tempo all 90 minutes. I was very sceptical about this team, the group looked far too strong for Ludogorets, yet they are only a couple of points from going through, topping the group. The team is solid and with good options for the local standards, very steady financially, the confidence is clearly high with 9 points. They don't have to rush vs Chernomorets - the pressure is surely on the guests, and that is a great advantage for the home team. The Ukrainians have to attack in order to get something out of this game, and Ludogorets so far have proved that given only a bit of space to counter are ''lethal''. I do not underestimate the Ukrainians, winning from behind in Zagreb points at quality, but from what I saw in Odessa vs Ludogorets I give them no more than 20% chances to win in Razgrad, simply beacuse it is football. Full backs a bit slow, center of the defense shaky at times. If I saw it so did the Bulgarian Manager. Chernomorets can upset upfront if Dja Dje Dje is given more space, their tall forward is dangerous at set pieces, (yet a bit clumsy) but I don't think this will be enough to win. True, the Ukrainian League is far better than the Bulgarian one, and Chernomorets already challenged hard some of the ''big boys'' there. Overall though the ''logic'' of the game tomorrow, where guests have to attack more and risk often simply favours Ludogorets big tiime, and is worth the risk...I will go further and double my stake on the home win if late tonight all 3 games in Bolivia go Over 2,5 Goals and give me extra ''budget'' ( although those boring guys from Aurora worry me a lot again ). Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th PSV - Dinamo Zagreb. I am quite suprised by the 8,00 odd @ Paddypower and some other bookies for a Dinamo Zagreb away win at PSV. PSV is in an absolute terrible form at home and haven't won a game in the last 5 games. They were beat by Roda JC twice at home and away and Roda is a really low level club in the Netherlands. Groningen beat them and they could not defeat Zwolle at home who are even a promoted side and at best will rank somewhere 8-12 in the league. Ofcourse one can reason it is PSV after all and they should be able to defeat Zagreb but what I have seen in the last games of PSV and especially the cup match they lost at home to Roda is really dreadful. In the first home game ( Zagreb PSV 0-0 ) Zagreb deserved it more than PSV to win so I am absolutely suprised by this odd. Also PSV is not taking this game as an important game and giving one of their best defenders Karim Rekik ( on loan from man city ) rest and replace him by a youth defender because in the media they state PSV gives priority to the NAC away game ( Small derby always tough for PSV ). That is not so strange considering that if PSV want to play for the Championship in the Eredivisie and a CL ticket they have to forget about the Euroleague now because they cannot manage both. Then their best goalkeeper Jeroen Zoet is out, Park ( from Man United ) a key player is also out and another key midfielder Stijn Schaars is doubtful. There talented winger Bakkali is not playing either. PSV crowd is notorious for not backing their team during the Euroleague so don't expect any sort of impressing/threatening atmosphere. Dinamo is doing quite good in the league and having seen the previous game I think they can get a result here. It's tricky to recommend but based upon the fact that they give a key player rest, have other injuries and their absolute lack of form I do give it a shot. It is still PSV and they have the players to defeat Dinamo but there is a real oppertunity here in my opinion I think PSV wants out of the Euro league to fully concentrate on the Eredivisie. For PSV's financial situation they really have to get into the CL if they want to remain a Topside in the Netherlands. Their budget just from the Tv rights and so fort is not enough as they are not as big as Feyenoord & Ajax. I suppose the board might has convinced the trainer that they have to focus on the league as the future of PSV depends on it. They cannot afford another year missing out on the CL. I do not recommend anything but these are my bets: 1.5 Points Dinamo Zagreb AH+1 5,5 @ Bet365 1 Point Dinamo to win @ 8.00 Paddypower

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th 4pts Kuban Krasnodar vs Swansea - Under 2.5 goals 1.78 BetVictor The first game between these two at Swansea was fairly tight and I see no reason why this will be any different. Swansea like to control possession on the road but they may not be as potent without Michu in the side. The Russians will give this a go as they are as good as out unless they win but Swansea’s defence is good enough to repel them. I see this as an under 2.5 goal game. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/kuban-krasnodar-vs-swansea-betting-europa-league-clash-in-russia-could-be-low-on-goals 4pts Rubin Kazan (-1.25AH) to beat Wigan 2.02 Bet365 Wigan have been gutsy and game in this competition so far but this would be a tough assignment for some of the better sides in Europe let alone one without any experience like them. That can work two ways. With nothing to lose they can play with a bit of freedom or they can be a bit timid and the task becomes the impossible one it looks. We have to choose one of the two scenarios and for me this could be a step too far for the Latics. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/rubin-kazan-vs-wigan-betting-russian-s-can-be-too-strong-for-wigan-at-home 4pts Tottenham (-2.5AH) to beat FC Sheriff 2.05 Bet365 Spurs never really got out of first gear in Moldova a fortnight ago but they still cruised to a win and that showed the gulf in class between these two sides. I expect that to only get wider with home advantage on Tottenham’s side here too. I would expect Spurs to be at it from the off to get the win they need to secure qualification and with an early goal this should become something of a rout. I don't understand about the travel complaint. In the U.S., basketball, baseball and Am. football players travel from LA to NY all the time for games. That's a 5 hour flight and 3 time zones. There's college teams that do the same thing. Sure, it's a lot of travel but no one gets that upset about it. Heck, in college, there are East Coast teams that play in Hawaii. That's an 8 hour flight across 6 time zones. But they still manage. Also, they play in the evening, not in the morning, so jet lag shouldn't bother them that much.

Just a note - the game will be played on the National Stadium in Sofia since it is the only venue in the country that has a license from UEFA to host games from EL. Regarding the outcome of the game - I think Ludogorets are a bit short here - worth a small bet but nothing more and surely not full stakes in my opinion. Yes, they play really nice, overachieving already but something just bugs me here... too good to be true 4 wins after 4 games but surely will have my fingers crossed for them to secure a european spring after this game already

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th

Any risk that AZ might rest their starters since they have a tough match on Sunday at Feyenrood.
This won't be the case, AZ will play with the strongest possible line-up. Most likely the same as the one of last weekend. Maybe one change, but that won't be because we are resting players. You can be sure we'll play to win here. The thing is indead that we are playing Feyenoord on Sunday so if we get in front by 2-0 for example it might be possible that a couple of the best players will be substituted and rested. It could also be that after a 2-0 lead that AZ will put the foot of the pedal and won't go for a third or fourth goal, so be careful about that. I have no doubt that we are going to win this game by two goals difference but I would'nt go any further. Shakter only took 14 players to Alkmaar, including 2 goal keepers. So that's pretty sad.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Pandurii will host Fiorentina on a neutral pitch in Cluj. They played all the Europa League games here because their own field doesn't fulfill Uefa rules.Fiorentina is almost qualified from this group after 3 wins in 3 games so Montella will field a B team. They have a tough schedule in Serie A. I think even if Pandurii has only theoretical chances to qualified will try to produce a good display here. Players like Eric or Buleica will want to demonstrate that they are good players (and maybe transfer in winter to a bigger team). I think probably both teams will be satisfied with a draw, but my bet will be Pandurii (+1).

Likely teams (http://www.football365.fr/france/infos-clubs/bordeaux/apoel-nicosie-bordeaux-les-compos-probables-1075212.shtml) APOEL : Pardo - Sergio Alexandrou, Borda, Joao Guilherme - Vinicius Morais, Manduca - Charalambides (cap), E.Gonçalves, Aloneftis Bordeaux : C.Carrasso (cap) - Chalmé (or Faubert), Planus, L.Sané , Poundjé - Rolan Sertic, Nguemo, Maurice-Belay - Jussiê, Saivet (or Sacko)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Maccabi Tel Aviv v Eintracht Frankfurt Frankfurt travel to Israel today knowing a win will as good as seal their place at the top of the group. They beat Tel Aviv 2-0 at home and were extremely dominant looking at the statistics. They had 66% possession, 20 shots on goal to Tel Aviv's 2 and were completely dominant so have nothing to fear today. They are currently 15th in the Bundesliga but it is light years ahead of the Israeli league even though Tel Aviv are top of their domestic league. Another good statistic is Frankfurt's favour is their excellent record in the Europa League. They have won their last 5 games in a row in this competition and only conceded one goal in the process. In fact, they have only lost 1 game in their Europa League history of 11 games which was against Palermo back in 2006. They look like serious value tonight in my opinion. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th

Pandurii will host Fiorentina on a neutral pitch in Cluj.
Fiorentina will play with the same team of the 1st leg and players like Matos, Mati Fernandez, and Joaquin which are not regulars have all the intentions to use this opportunity Matos has played saturday night against Ac Milan on San Siro pitch and He really impressed me, Zaccardo (milan defender) he's still looking for him According to me Fiorentina can win tonight

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Maribor v Zulte-Waregem I think the price for Maribor is very attractive here. The Slovenians beat the Belgian side 3-1 away from home and the Belgians even had an extra man for most of the match as Maribor had a man sent off early. These two sides are very poor but I will be surprised if Maribor don't get a result here at home considering the hammering they gave the Belgians with 10 men last time out. A win for Maribor here will leap them into 2nd place in the group if Wigan lose to Rubin Kazan. The Belgians have conceded 7 goals in their last 2 Europa League games and are certainly there for the taking. Maribor Draw No Bet - 5 Points @ 1.67 32Red

Let me say that Pandurii didn't play so bad in the first match, they had some goal opportunities... In worst case Pandurii will loose by one goal. If you ask me this will be a draw (maybe 1-1)

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Standard Liege v Salzburg Salzburg have been a revelation in the past 12 months or so and should have enough firepower to see off the Belgian side Standard Liege away from home this evening. They have now gone 18 games on the trot without tasting defeat and they have also won all 5 Europa League games this year scoring 15 goals in the process. They are top of Austrian Bundesliga, with a 10 point advantage after only 14 games and morale will be extremely high. A win here for the Austrians will all but seal their place in the knock out stages and although facing Liege away from home won't be easy, they have a better side with better players and can do the job. Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Lyon send an "C" team to Rijeka , (they prepare the match of this week end against St Etienne (ITS A BIG DERBY) ) i think we gone see a very boring match, i dont think this c team can win in Croatia and plus i don't think they can score on this match Rijeka have a decent stat at home , but i dont see them score a goal too (defence of Lyon is a little much better) i choose to bet on 0-0 FT @9.50 on betcity GL All

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Just a small correction of the post above. Salzburg are Austrian not German and they are top of the Austrian Bundesliga not Bundesliga 2. Its worth noting that the reverse fixture ended 2-1 for Salzburg and there were 3 red cards. If I'm not mistaken all 3 of those players (mane for Salzburg, carcela and Kanu for SL) will be suspended for this game.

I would be careful when it comes to Maribor. I do agree about last match, but it should be in no way the only merrit when betting on this game. I watched the match and frankly speaking Maribor played well above their standards, surprising most back here in Slovenia. Maribor has had a terrible month, they sacked previous coach (high aiming ex-Dinamo coach) while the new coach Simundza failed to deliver losing 2 home matches vs very poor domestic oposition and a mid table team. Their home record so far is far from reassuring and Zulte tends to snatch a point away from home. It is possible for Maribor to get a result, but there is a strong possibility of a crash and burn scenario, should Zulte get ahead early. So this is why i believe Maribor DNB is a bit short at 1.67.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th What do you think about this? Lay 60 goals or more @1.39 (so backing odds are around 3.56) on Betfair. 24 games today, so 60 goals is 2.5 goals per game. I think the Europa League is an 'underish' competition and some teams will focus on defending their top position now.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th

4pts Rubin Kazan (-1.25AH) to beat Wigan 2.02 Bet365 Wigan have been gutsy and game in this competition so far but this would be a tough assignment for some of the better sides in Europe let alone one without any experience like them. That can work two ways. With nothing to lose they can play with a bit of freedom or they can be a bit timid and the task becomes the impossible one it looks. We have to choose one of the two scenarios and for me this could be a step too far for the Latics. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/rubin-kazan-vs-wigan-betting-russian-s-can-be-too-strong-for-wigan-at-home
Topscorer and striker Salomon Rondon is injured for Kazan so I would be very careful with AH. Wigan are not the most scoring side and will play solidly as they did away in Waregem ( 0-0 ) Kazan will have more trouble with goalscoring so I recommend: Under 2.5 Goals -- 1.85 Labrokes.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Ludogorets Razgrad - Chernomorets Odessa The value is clearly on Chernomorets here. Ludogorets will play on National stadium in Sofia where they have very small support. They are without their captain Dyakov who is suspended and other key playrs like Bart, Zlatinski and Caicara are doubts.Coach of Ludogorets Stoev says that there are other 2 players who are doubts but don't want to say his names. Chernomorets play stronger in reverse game and only luck and a lot of misses gives the 3 points for Ludogorets. Ludogorets are not team who will win all the games in EL. This is very important game for ukrainian team because in next 2 fixtures they have away game with PSV. Odds over 4 for away win are too high. Pick: 2 Odds: 4,33 bet365 Stake: 5/10.

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th

I don't understand about the travel complaint. In the U.S.' date=' basketball, baseball and Am. football players travel from LA to NY all the time for games. Also, they play in the evening, not in the morning, so jet lag shouldn't bother them that much.[/quote'] You cannot compare US sports with football..Football is 2x45 min hard physical, but USA sports are entertainment with 1 min commercials and no continuous play, so players there can rest, but in football there is no resting..

Re: UEFA Europa League > Thursday November 7th Tromsø - Anzhi Makhachkala Tromsø is in danger of relegation with only one remaining game beeing played on sunday against a very good home side, Brann Bergen. Tromsø has gone public in Norwegian press saying they will give alot of players with little experiance the chance and save key-players. Expect the odds on Anzhi to drop after line-ups.
