Re: September 30 - October 6 Back Aleksandr Dolgopolov to win ATP Tokyo for a 0.5/10 stake at 41.00 with Pinnacle Back Kevin Anderson to win ATP Tokyo for a 0.5/10 stake at 23.00 with Pinnacle You could make a case against every single one of the top names, so I am going for two underrated talents here. There is every chance that they are going to fall early on (especially Dolgopolov), but their games should work nicely in the Tokyo conditions, so they might be able to make it really far this week. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/atp-tokyo-betting-aleksandr-dolgopolov-and-kevin-anderson-look-value-in-japan-this-week Back Albert Montanes to beat Philipp Kohlschreiber for a 2/10 stake at 4.81 with Pinnacle Montanes might be struggling with form, but I have always liked him in these nothing-to-lose situations and I wouldn't be shocked by seeing him win against the German, who had to retire last time out and who might therefore not be at his best on Monday. Re: September 30 - October 6 Lisicki @ 11/8 to beat Venus has to be taken. 5 PTS Venus had a great run in Japan but her recovery is bound to be on the slow side as she deals both with her advancing years and her inflammatory disease. She had a lot of hard matches in the last week and put together her first 2 match winning streak eventually making it 4 in a row since Charleston back in week 14. Lisicki played her first match since the US Open to easily dispose of Scheepers . Although Venus will as always give it everything I reckon she will come up short and feel fatigued and for this reason I am also going to take Lisicki to win in straight sets @ a very generous 11/4 2pts Prices are with Powers. Good luck.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Marcos Baghdatis to beat Juan Martin Del Potro @ 4.00 Betfair This is Del Potro's first match since a disappointing loss against Hewitt at the US Open, and so I think he looks a little short against the talented if sometimes inconsistent Baghdatis. The Cypriot has caused Del Potro problems in the past, and although Del Potro beat him earlier in the season, on his day Baghdatis is capable of winning matches like this. He gave a good account of himself at the US Open, losing in the third round to Wawrinka, before losing a close match against Tursunov in St. Petersburg and getting knocked out by Wawrinka in the second round in Kuala Lumpur. He should be able to give Del Potro a good match, and might even be able to sneak a win. Yuichi Sugita to beat Ivan Dodig @ 5.00 Betfair This is speculative as Dodig is certainly the better player, but Sugita has had a decent few weeks in this part of the world on the Challenger Tour and will have home advantage in this match. Dodig hasn't played on hard since the US Open, and his last matches were on clay in the Davis Cup. If Sugita can keep it close in the early stages here, then who knows. At this price, I'll make a small investment. Jurgen Melzer to beat Kei Nishikori @ 4.50 Betfair Nishikori may well be the defending champion here and playing at home, but I think Melzer could cause him problems in this match. He has beaten Nishikori on hard before, and with the exception of his early exit at the US Open against Donskoy and a couple of poor performances on clay in the Davis Cup, the Austrian has been enjoying something of a return to form during his last few tournaments. He won the title in Winston-Salem and made the last four in Kuala Lumpur, losing to eventual tournament winner Sousa. Nishikori most recently played and won two Davis Cup rubbers against the Colombians Falla and Giraldo, but prior to that he suffered a shock defeat at the US Open against Evans. It would be understandable if his confidence has taken a knock as a result, and if Melzer is in the mood he is more than capable of making it three tournaments in a row where Nishikori has lost his first match.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Laura Robson to beat Kerber @ 11/4 1pt Robson to win a set @ 21/20 2pts Quick one here,on the 2 occasions they have played they have been close 3 setters and that could well happen again today,OK Robbo is not in great form but Kerber again as with williams may be a little tired and therefore could come up short. Prices are with Betfair sportsbook aye up I just realised the match about to start in about 20 mins!!

Re: September 30 - October 6 Back Go Soeda to beat Milos Raonic for a 1/10 stake at 7.13 with Pinnacle Worth a punt at such a massive price, especially since Raonic has never been too impressive after huge wins. Soeda is a decent player by all kinds of standards and, if he will be able to hold his serve without too many difficulties, he could certainly give Raonic a really good run for his money. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/soeda-vs-raonic-betting-milos-raonic-looks-set-to-struggle-in-his-first-match-of-the-week Back Svetlana Kuznetsova to beat Andrea Petkovic for a 2/10 stake at 1.95 with Pinnacle Petkovic seems to be a bit overrated here in my opinion. The victory against Azarenka might have been massive, but her performance wasn't really that excellent and I wouldn't be surprised by seeing her struggle against Kuznetsova, who has been playing rather well in recent times and who looked in good nick against Hsieh, beating her for the loss of just two games. Re: September 30 - October 6 I don't mean to criticize your bet here but if I were going to analyze this match in the way you have then there would be one big factor that would sway me to punt on Kerber here. Williams is 33 years old and has played a lot of tennis lately (good tennis too) so will naturally tire and she did. Kerber on the other hand is a 25 year old machine...and in good form. Again not having a dig, just putting forward mmy thinking on that one.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Michal Przysiezny to beat Jarkko Nieminen @ 3.15 Betfair Przysiezny made the main draw here as a lucky loser, and took full advantage of his good fortune by beating Granollers in the first round. Nieminen also had a good result in his first match, beating Monaco in straight sets, and I think that's the reason for what I consider to be too short a price on the Finn in this match. Although Nieminen has beaten Przysiezny both times that they have played each other, the matches were close and with Przysiezny in decent form right now I think he has a good chance of making the next round. Nieminen hasn't won that many matches recently, so I don't think he deserves to be this strong a favourite against a player who made the last four in St. Petersburg a couple of weeks ago.

Re: September 30 - October 6 A couple for me today Raonic -3.5 to beat Soeda : 1.75 at sportingbet. Both these players have great serves and will be hard to break but I'll have to side with Raonic to cover here merely based on form and his solid win over Berdych recently. Fognini +3.5 against Hewitt. Whilst Hewitt has all the experience and seems to be winding back the clock, Fognini is no mug. He is out of form compared to how he has been playing in the last 6 months but I feel he can put it together for 1 set at least, taking it to 3 which should be enough to cover.

Well done mate !!! Fantastic post !!! Too bad I saw it just now !!! :(
It was a small loss in the end because the Raonic bet missed out by .5...grr. A couple more.. Roberto Bautista Agut to beat Isner @ $2.45 (sportingbet) I don't really watch a lot of tennis but I do follow, and I've noticed that Roberto handles himself quite well against big servers. Dimitrov is 6"2 and a big lad but Roberto dealt with 37% of his first serves...so I'm going to take the underdog here and hope he can dismantle Isner by stifling his greatest weapon. Keys +4.5 against Radswanksa @ $1.83 (sportingbet) Not much to say here but Rads can really struggle against big hitters at times. I see keys as an attacking player and her ground strokes pack quite a punch so I think she can keep this close.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Feliciano Lopez to beat Kei Nishikori @ 3.00 Betfair I'm going against Nishikori again, as he didn't look too convincing to me in his win against Melzer in the last round. Lopez has been steady if not spectacular in his last few tournaments, and although he was slow to get started in his first match here against Ito, he beat Nishikori when they met on hard before the US Open and so should be motivated to add to that win. I wouldn't be surprised to see tie-breaks in this match, and in that situation Lopez's strong serve could give him the advantage. Whatever happens, I think this will be close and so Lopez is the call for me. Marinko Matosevic to beat David Ferrer @ 3.75 Betfair Ferrer doesn't look as though he is in top form right now, losing unexpectedly to Sousa in Kuala Lumpur last week and then only just scraping past Pospisil in his first match here. Although he beat Matosevic earlier in the year at the French Open, clay is arguably Matosevic's worst surface. On hard it's a different matter entirely, and Matosevic has had some good results on the surface this year. The Australian has a decent serve, and although Ferrer is strong on return, recently he has been offering up chances on his serve and if that continues then Matosevic could spring a surprise in this match.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Ferrer - Matosevic 2 @3,10 Eurobet stake 2 Prendo anch'io Matosevic! Ci provo!

Re: September 30 - October 6 Back S.Querrey/N.Djokovic - Over 20 games for a 2/10 stake at 1.87 with Pinnacle Not sure what is happening with Djokovic right now, but he looked way off against Verdasco for some reason. He might be feeling under pressure with Nadal chasing the number one spot, so I expect Querrey, who has been playing excellent tennis so far in Beijing, to take the fight to him and give him a really good run for his money on Friday. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/querrey-vs-djokovic-betting-sam-querrey-has-the-right-weapons-for-troubling-novak-djokovic-in-beijing Back Tomas Berdych (-1.5) to beat John Isner for a 2/10 stake at 1.90 with Pinnacle John Isner could have easily lost against both Di Wu and Roberto Bautista-Agut, so this should really be a bridge too far from him. Berdych has been playing well in recent days and should be feeling fresh after getting a walkover against Davydenko, so I fancy him to beat the American on Friday. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/berdych-vs-isner-betting-tomas-berdych-can-continue-his-decent-run-with-a-victory-against-john-isner Back Lucie Safarova to beat Jelena Jankovic for a 2/10 stake at 2.38 with Pinnacle Good win for Jankovic on Thursday, but Safarova is on a superb run right now and has all the right weapons for troubling her, so she has every chance of beating the world's number eleven in Beijing. At odds against, my money is definitely going to be on the Czech here. Re: September 30 - October 6 John Isner to beat Tomas Berdych @ 2.60 Betfair I think it's fair for Berdych to be the favourite here due to his form and the favourable conditions, however I also think there could be some value in backing Isner to come out on top. Although the American struggled in his first two matches of the tournament, edging both Wu Di and Bautista Agut in three sets, I think there are a couple of reasons why those performances could be a little misleading when it comes to this match. Firstly, Isner can sometimes appear lazy on return, meaning that he is prone to playing tight matches against virtually anyone on tour. What counts is his ability to win these types of matches, and you could make the argument that his career has been based on being able to do so. Secondly, Isner should be under no illusions about the scale of the task in front of him when he faces Berdych, something that wasn't necessarily the case in his earlier matches here. If Isner is fully focussed, then he is more than capable of getting under Berdych's skin with his big serve, as he has done in the past when beating him, even if that serve is blunted somewhat by the slower conditions. If I were backing Berdych, it would concern me that he hasn't had to break into a sweat yet this week. His walkover in the last round against Davydenko and a virtual walkover against Andujar before that mean he is yet to be tested this week, and Isner should provide both a stern physical and mental test in this match. Although Berdych will be fresher than Isner, I'm not sure how much of an advantage that will provide. As previously alluded to, Isner is used to playing long and attritional matches, and is arguably better at it than Berdych is. I would be surprised if Isner won in straight sets with breaks in each set, and I would be surprised if there were no tie-breaks, but I would not be surprised to see Isner winning in three sets or even two tie-break sets.

Re: September 30 - October 6 Yes, of course Djoker to beat Nadal this time in the Beijing finals @1.76 Local Bookie (8/10) Maybe I am going to be punished for this one, but WHEN if not THIS TIME? Rafa struggling all week long, Foggy almost got him. Invariably gets broken couple of times in the first set. Djoker plain cruising, except perhaps for the Verdasco match, but has been fully focused since. I am going huge at this price which is IMO exceptional. Unless Nadal acted all week to persuade me he's got problems, this MUST come through.
