BillyHills
Qualifying The bookmakers make very few mistakes these days when pricing up Formula One and the betting for Pole Position is so predictable at this stage of the season. Vettel versus Mercedes seems to be the norm but at least it keeps the prices odds against unlike last season when Vettel was virtually unbackable for most races and qualifying sessions. Vettel is a shade of odds on this week after dominating the afternoon practice session, he was a full second in front of the Mercedes, which is pretty ominous. Hamilton still looks the better value at 7/4 as he often finds something in qualifying and again Webber looks the best each way bet at around 12/1. Selections: 2pts Lewis Hamilton 7/4 >Betfred 1pt EW Mark Webber 12/1 Skybet (1,2,3) http://www.punterslounge.com/formula-one-betting-hamilton-s-turn-to-land-pole-in-singapore-qualifying-battle
BillyHills
Re: Singapore Grand Prix Singapore GP With the outright betting being so one sided the majority of bookies are only betting on the first two for each way backers, Skybet however do bet on the first three and Fernando Alonso appeals as I think he can get past Rosberg and Grosjean around here and often finishes strongly in his races which could be important around here. I think he will attack and will want a podium finish at least. Some firms are betting without Vettel and Webber will be popular at around 5/2 but with four divers under 7/2 it doesn’t appeal on the value front to me. Jean-Eric Vergne missed out in qualifying but from 12th could take a point or two and looks a decent bet in that market while Jensen Button is very reliable around here and is worth a bet to finish in the top six spots.
