NRL Finals

Finals start tonight with blockbuster Rabbits v Melbourne in Sydney. I'm leaning towards Melbourne with no real certainty but like the $2.05 on offer for Melbourne in the first week of finals. I just have the feeling Souths are going to choke after watching them the last couple of weeks and Melbourne are just a machine in finals footy. Main reason for starting the thread this week was to ask people if they are taking advantage of refund offers all the bookmakers are throwing around at the moment. I did it at Origin time but going to look into it more over the next couple of weeks and work with it next season. For tonight I've worked out with the NRL finals refund offer from sportsbet you can lock in a profit. Somebody let me know if I'm incorrect on this but I did it with Origin and it seems the same here. Only thing is you can't lay it off on Sportsbet as in the terms the offer is for recreational gamblers only and members deemed to be using the offer not in the spirit will not receive a refund if their team loses. Bet up to $100 max refunded on head to heads if team loses by 10 points or less. *************Buggered up the calculations dont have time to fix atm. Good luck everyone.

Re: NRL Finals How do they separate the amateurs from the pros? What calculations would u be talking about? I assume you place $100 on who you think will win then hedge say $20 on the other at -10.5 for around $5.50. That only works if either result occurs but if you lose by under 10 points then the worst that happens is you lose the hedge but get the bulk of your stake back.

Re: NRL Finals Manly to beat the sharks -10pts @10/11 bet365 History between these two sides favours the Sea Eagles, Played 81, Manly 56 Sharks 23 Drawn 2. Manly's last defeat to the sharks at this stage was back in 1978!! Dont see the tide turning for this one either. Storm to beat the Knights -8pts @5/6 bet365 Storm should have too much for the Knights in this one and fancy them to win convincingly
