Re: Super League 2013 - Playoffs week 1 Thursday preview: 4pts Huddersfield (-2) to beat Wigan 4/5 Betfred This will be a big test for Huddersfield. It is a test I think they will pass too. I don’t think they’ll win these playoffs, I think when the big knockout matches come they might be found wanting but the fact this isn’t a knockout game and the fact they are at home should give them the confidence, momentum and most importantly the belief that they can come through this. Wigan will be no pushovers but Huddersfield look much the better side offensively which can be the difference here. Re: Super League 2013 - Playoffs week 1 Huddersfield continue to go under the radar. Because they are not a big name in the sport their prices have not reflected their status all season. They were 7/1 for the grand final one week before clinching the shield. Plainly wrong. Ignore the defeat to the Bulls. Only 4 first-teamers played in that game. Wigan, been on the slide all the 2nd half of the season. 5 defeats in the last 6. Get with the Giants -4 at Evens. Been seen as chokers the last 5 seasons but not any more. They should be the same price as Warrington to win it.

Re: Super League 2013 - Playoffs week 1 Friday night preview: 3pts Hull FC to win by 1-12 points 15/8 Ladbrokes Both sides come into this match off the back of defeats last week but given that Catalans still aren’t the best travellers and given that Hull FC have shown their knockout football prowess this season I’ll take them to win this match. I don’t think they’ll run away with it, this is knockout football after all but I do believe they have the power in their forwards and creativity and kicking game to win this by a score or two. Re: Super League 2013 - Playoffs week 1 Saturday previews: 4pts Leeds to beat Warrington 6/4 Coral This is Leeds’ time of the year traditionally. They haven’t been beaten in the playoffs since 2010 and they know how to get the job done. Warrington will be a tough opponent to crack but the likes of Myler and Atkins are big misses for the home side. With the extra recovery time from last week coupled with their superior quality when this time of the year comes around I’ll take Leeds to edge a potential classic here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/warrington-vs-leeds-betting-leeds-can-repeat-grand-final-win-over-warrington 4pts St Helens (-12) to beat Hull KR 10/11 Bet365 I like St Helens here. Even though Dobson and Paterson could be back for Hull KR they will both be rusty and they are running into a St Helens side who have moved through the gears in recent weeks. James Roby makes such an impact for the Saints and they are a side used to playing the big matches. I think Saints will progress to next week with a comfortable win here.
