Re: World Cup Europe Qualification > 6th - 10th September Estonia v Netherlands This isn't a sure-fire clean sheet bet, but should it be over evens? Don't think so! Netherlands have a very good record away in WC qualifiers winning their last 6 most recent. In these qualifiers so far they have only conceded 2 goals in 6 games and Estonia have scored 3 in 6 games (all against Andorra). This is certainly a Netherlands team in transition, they have lost a fair few of the old guard - especially in defensive positions - but they aren't scared to make changes and for me this looks like a 0-2,0-3 scoreline. In midfield and attack they still have players like Van Der Vaart, Strootman, RVP, Robben, Kuyt and Lens so they have enough experience to call on and you would expect them to win this although I doubt it will be a steamroller job. They now have a gk and backline that won't be too familiar to most, Vorm (Swansea) in goal (I hope) although Vermeer of Ajax has played in other qualifiers, not the better gk for me though and prone to the odd howler. Backline should consist of 3 Feyenoord defenders Janmaat, De Vrij and Indi with Danny Blind left-back, Blind is now injured though so someone will have to come in (Willems - PSV?), De Guzman will likely be the anchor in midfield. Estonia have avoided being the worst side in the group by having Andorra in there who they beat 1-0 away and 2-0 at home, they have so far failed to score against Romania (0-2), Turkey (3-0), Hungary (0-1) and Netherlands (3-0). 1.6-1.7 would be about right for this I think, I'll take 2.1 all day long. I expect this price will dip to about 1.8 (can't be sure though), when the game starts and when/if Estonia look terrible you should be able to lay bits off for decent prices as you go along and still make good profit for minimal risk. Likely to be a busy week for me, depending on prices obviously, this looks a good start. Netherlands to Win to Nil - 2.1 - coral - 15 Points

Re: World Cup Europe Qualification > 6th - 10th September About Turkey-Andorra: First game of new NT coach Fatih Terim, most of you probably heard about him, it would be irrelevant to introduce him and giving info about his background. Only thing I should say, despite he's definitely a person to hate, because of his political connections, he's the best Turkish football coach and by far the most influencive one. I don't think, Turkey has any chance to qualify, despite them having mathematical chances, but if one guy will do that miracle, it's definitely Fatih Terim. Amongst the players he called up, my best line-up (considering him to play 4-3-3) would be: V.Demirel ***** G.Gonul *** - S.Kaya ** - O.Toprak *** - H.Kaldirim ** S.Inan ***** - M.Topal *** - N.Sahin (A.Potuk) *** O.Sahan *** - B.Yilmaz ***** - A.Turan *** A.Turan is definitely the most talented player of Turkey, I rate him with three stars due to his recent performances in national team. But I should note, he all the time, played more effective and productive under coach Terim. I expect a better performance from the players, compared to pathetic performances throughout every single game of qualifications, as after one of the least influencive coaches, they'll have the most influencive figure on the bench. But, Turkey has do, or die game four days after this game at Bucharest. So, I would be really surprised to see Terim to field best selection he has. I expect players like CD Aykut Demir, RB Salih Dursun and AMC Hakan Calhanoglu to make their NT debuts, physically doubtful players like N.Sahin and A.Turan to get rests... All in all, despite having no information about Andorra, I see them improving a little bit. They covered this huge 3.5 line in last two games on the road, one was against Netherlands, which played with stronger line up then my expected one from Terim. Turkey won only 2-0 in the reverse match up and played a disgusting football. (Despite doing my obligatory army duty that time and watching football was definitely a luxury, I hated every 90 mins of that game...) etc etc If ex-coach A.Avci was in charge, I might've spent small amount for juicy Andorra +3.5 odds, but with Terim starts his first game, I would certainly avoid that too. Wisest thing should be to see the line up of Turkey first, then watch for first 25-30 mins and cross fingers for not to see Turks scoring an early goal, then take a small bet for Turks to cover the spread -3, with odds bigger then evens. If my scenario about early goal comes through, but bookies acts reluctant to change the spread and odds as I wish, then it's the best to skip and turn off the broadcast. ps: If Turkey starts with a line up close to what I write above, or Terim starts with classic 4-4-2 and uses one more striker instead of N.Sahin (A.Potuk), then I'll spend small money on cs's 4-0, 5-0, 6-0, instead of making a decent bet for Turks to cover the spread. ps2: Andorra scored only twice in last 11 official games, and 4 times in last 19 official games on the road. As long as, Terim comes up with a really experimental defensive line, I don't see visitors scoring in Kayseri, as well. I have here at locals, in Serbia, Turkey to win nil @ 1.45 and Both teams to score - NO @ 1.38, both should be solid combo materials. But, I most frequently bet singles and those odds don't mean anything to me, you can consider if you're interested. GL!

Juventus centre-back Andrea Barzagli is also missing after he returned to Turin on Monday because of injury. With Bulgaria doing well lately and Italy's price, looks like a no bet to me.

Burak Yilmaz is the main striker in the Turkish team, he's scored 59 goals in his last 67 games in the Turkish top flight and while his deadline day move to Lazio for 11m euros fell through he is still in good form this season netting in 2 of Gala's 3 games this season. As the Gala coach is now coach of the national team also I would presume he would play to Yilmaz's strengths and give him plenty of opportunities, always a risk that the player won't start the game with these kind of bets but I wouldn't have thought it's likely in this case. Yilmaz has scored in the last 3 Turkish NT games he has played in so I think this is a good price, hills have priced him up as a 1.4 anytime scorer which will come down over the week, 1.25 is more likely I would have thought..Turkey should win by at least 3 and I'm wagering Yilmaz will score at least 1 of those. I don't think I need to go into much detail about San Marino as it's been done it to death on here before, they haven't scored in a World Cup or European Championship qualifier for 5 odd years and I doubt if that run will end in Ukraine, Ukraine did concede against Moldova at home which is a bit concerning but Moldova are a better team than San Marino, 1.25 is an alright price - hopefully we'll see a 1.3 or 1.35 later in the week. England are 1.45 to beat Moldova to nil at Wembley which I think is good enough to take as part of a double bet, don't think England will take them lightly as it's a game they really have to win and I'm sure they will even if it is 2 or 3-0, they have a few injury concerns to attacking players but the spine of the team looks alright and importantly we usually control games against minnows at Wembley. England will have 60%+ possession which is usually key to these bets, there might be a few scary moments in this one as I expect Moldova will have a few chances but England won the away leg 5-0 with few problems so hopefully that will continue, as I said our record in World Cup and European Champ Qualifying against such sides is generally very consistent. 1.81 looks a pretty good price really and I'm happy to take it. As we used to be same country, now after war we dont like each other very much. Serbia dont have chance to qualify and Croatia is fighting with Belgium for first place. In first game in Zagreb Croatia won 2-0 but they were not that impressive as Serbia play bad. For this match Matic ( Benfica) is back at squad and up in front will be Markovic, Tadic and Djuricic all young players who should be leaders for next EC 2016 qualification. Croatia have very strong team and in this match I am expecting open game especially from Serbia side as they dont have what to lose. Over 2.5 goals @ 2.10 at local bookie looks god for me. B.Yilmaz is also the primary penalty kick taker of NT. Despite being second, or even third choice pk taker with Galatasaray, since he created the pk against Gaziantepspor, his teammates led him to take it and he scored that. Also, in the case of absence of S.Inan and N.Sahin, B.Yilmaz is also one of the main candidates to take the dangerous free kicks around the box. He's 5th, or 6th option in his club, but he scored a goal last season against Antalyaspor, one of the few chances he had. He was second option to take those free kicks with his previous club Trabzonspor, after S.Inan and he had a good percentage at there, as well. Like you said, if he starts, that may be a decent option for people looking for a safe play.

They dropped points at home to Malta, the Czechks beat them in Armenia 3-0, the class difference is a fact. So far the odds look justified. And yet - in last qualifications this same Armenian team, in a stronger group was very close to qualifying. They totally destroyed Denmark away 4-0 in the last round - I watched the game with a few Danish guys early this summer - the played a perfect tactical game, and regardless of the Danish push after HT, at no point they lost control of the game. Being 2-0 up at HT bet365 again totally underestimated them, and Armenia to score in the Second Half was at 3,50. I also saw their game in Sofia, where the Bulgarians never had an easy time - a narrow win, with Armenia scoring and looking dangerous at every moment, with Armenia reduced to 10, and later to 9 men ( if I remember well )... The team has a very difficult program in the final 4 games, their chances to go second in this group are so slim I rather would say non-existent - they need to beat the Czech Republic in both games and beat Bulgaria at home. Ask any Armenian though, they would all say ''why not?'' - the national pride there ( and across the world ) is at unvelievable level. The message was already sent in Denmark. I do not believe the Czechks will go rushing forward - they all have seen that counter-attacking lesson Armenia gave to the Danes. Even if the hosts are 1-0 up early enough in the game I rather see them ''closing'' the game and slowing down a bit, in order to make Armenia nervous and go forward ( which was their mistake in Sofia ). A must-win game to the hosts, no need to risk much, considering that they have away games in Italy and Bulgaria coming... Czech Republic might as well win by 2-3 goals with a bit naive Armenian side. I do believe though this is a dangerous bet to back the hosts especially on handicap. I took a medium to small stake Armenia + 1,5 at 1,775 earlier, it is down to 1,70 now...just following the logic above. Otherwise to people who haven't seen much from the games in this tricky group - a match to avoid betting on ! GL

Can offer a bit of opinion. I was actually thinking about including them in a clean sheet bet considering how bad Faroe Islands are away, couldn't bring myself to back Kazakhstan though! I watched them at home against Germany and they actually tried to play some good stuff, they had some nippy attackers and looked fairly organised. They play on artificial turf at the national stadium which may be an advantage, almost all the squad plays in Kazakhstan and it's worth remembering that only 2 or 3 of the team that did so well against Celtic are actually eligible to play for the national team. If you look purely at results it's difficult to find an argument for the Faroe's away from home against anyone, they have lost 16 of their last 17 away and haven't scored in their last 6 away..I recall one of the last times they scored away as it cost me a few hundred quid! Had Slovenia to keep a clean sheet against them a few years ago and they were 5-0 up in injury-time then the buggers scored in the 92nd minute! :lol..I discounted them for this one because I thought 1.5 was too low for the home win but you could certainly create a number of reasons to back them. Under 2.5 looks likely to me, Faroe's probably won't score and looking at their history Kazakhstan don't look likely to score more than 2. Kazakhstan are probably used to sides attacking them so they can counter and use the spaces that are left, I've seen with such countries before when they are expected to attack sides who sit back they lack the creative players to pick them apart. Under 2.5 would certainly be my call.

Judging by the last couple of qualification groups Kazakhstan have been involved in, they have beaten the so called minnows of the group at home (Azerbaijan 2011 & Andorra 2008). I also watched them play Germany at home, not in this qualification round but for the euros last time and their fans are quiet up for it. One terrace behind the goal full of supporters with their tops off swinging them around their heads chanting for the entire game. More of a club atmosphere than an international. Kozak recalls the best striker in WCQ 2010 Stanislav Sestak and he scored goal last match in Romania. In squad is full strong and some players are in really good form like Weiss, Kucka, Hamsik, Mucha, Guede or Skrtel. Slovakia hasnt good defence now, mainly in center back. But Cisovsky plays this position in Plzen very good, they reached CL group and he is best scorer with 5 goals in CL.. as defender. Bosna takes this match seriously and with full squad. Draw isnt acceptable for any team, hosts would be attacking all match and Slovaks makes counters. Home team is the best attacking team in WCQ and Slovaks would fight with last chance to progress. Kazakhstan missing there best Player Schmidtgal by injuring. Also i didn´t see not such a huge differnt beetwen these two teams. Both have Players that are playing in some good European League. Also Faroes seems for me that they are against bigger teams (Germany, Austria, Sweden) didn´t have enough high concentration to play her game for 90 Minutes. So late Goals against Sweden and Ireland you can see it. And Kazakhstan are not that team which will be playing 90 Minutes technical football that Faroes at the last 30 Minutes didn´t have enough concentration. I think it will be a hard game for Home Team and Under 2.5 and/or Faroes AHC+1.5 are a good choice here.

Greece are not that domination team and create chances every Minute against weaker teams. Also Lichtenstein grab One Point against Slovakia. I also looked at the head-to-head records and noticed that nearly all the favourites have superb head to head records against the underdogs. An example is Germany v Austria where I thought Austria could be good value, but the head-to-head record just shows a long list of Germany wins. I think it's sensible to look at the head to head record for these fixtures, and it really puts me off backing most of the underdogs. An exception is Northern Ireland, who are big underdogs at home to Portugal, but have won one, drawn three and lost one of their last five home games against them.

England should win this pretty comfortably but as all England fans know it's always hard to tell if were going to turn up on the night. I can see a lot of value in the 9/2 offered on Lambert here, England struggle at times when they get the ball in to the final 3rd and I think it's about time someone new is given a chance. Against Scotland he came on and pretty much made an immediate impact with that unstoppable header. He's a proven goal scorer at all levels in English Football and now's his time to stake a place in the squad for the world cup.

It sounds like you're saying this is a game to avoid betting altogether. Or do you recommend taking Armenia?

Mind you, the Home Win has gone up to 1,40 ( from 1,30 ) in the past few days, so it seems few others feel the same. Still, a tricky game and like I said if you haven't watched both teams at least twice in this campaign - avoid... Elsewhere I had a medium stake bet on Bosnia Over 2,5 Goals at 1,85 with bet365. The trend from the past years with the hosts remains - strong attack - leaky defense, as the last friendly with USA proved. The Slovaks also have strong arguments forward, I see a fast open game here with goals. I took Germany Over 3,5 Goals few days ago at 1,975, gone down a bit now bit still justified IMO. Waiting to see the Handicap lines in Ukraine and Turkey, where I feel the - 2,5 AH Line can be easily beaten by hosts. With the early friendly games - small bets on Over 3,5 Goals in Japan and -1,5 AH in South Korea - simpoly because of the class difference. Took it with small stakes as with friendlies I got ''burnt'' few times... GL
