Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August No one wants to take anything in EL qualifying? You'd think it's an unpredictable competition fraught with upsets or something...:lol I made a nice sum handicapping Spurs and Sevilla last week but those are dead rubbers now so not going anywhere near them. Instead one match I see where there is all to play for and potential to profit is Bestikas at home to Tromso. This is what a Turkish punter on Betshoot thinks: http://www.betshoot.com/80694-Besiktas-vs-Tromso-betting-tips It seems the result was unfortunate. Highlights show Bestikas had all the momentum and chances but were undone by a fantasy penalty and a horror mistake from the former Sevilla centre half Escude. See it here: http://www.wawsport.com/europa-league-2014-qualification-tromso-2-1-besiktas-highlights-video_906ff6104.html#sthash.YG9X4Hmy.dpbs Now the 2 keys here is that judging by the highlights Turks look clearly a level above Tromso AND we have a strong home team NEEDING a win against a weak away team. Bestikas only played 2 league games won both. Tromso are 19 matches into Norwegian league (2 points away from relegation places) and away record is: W 0 D 4 L 7 F 10 A 20 :\ Last 3 away league games W 0 D 0 L 3 F 2 A 6 (2nd last on the form table) If we look at Bestikas last ten or so at home it's very strong. They only need to win 1-0 but taking all relevant factors into consideration plus the expected outs in wide positions for the Scandanavians mentioned in the Betshoot preview, Bestikas -1.5 @ 2.00 most bookies seems good value as if they take a fraction of the chances I expect them to create, then they should cover. Either medium stake on that or large on -1 AH @ 1.50 Bet 365 for added security Best of luck :hope

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August 4pts Petrolul vs Swansea - Under 2.5 goals Evs Skybet Last week’s first leg was a free scoring one but this second leg may not be. Swansea will still look to control the game but they will be missing a fair bit of quality from their side which may stop them running away with this game. Petrolul are likely to give this a good go but whether they have the quality to make anything happen remains to be seen. I’m not convinced and think this could turn into a pretty boring, low scoring game. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/petrolul-ploiesti-vs-swansea-betting-swansea-can-qualify-with-a-low-key-second-leg-showing 4pts Tottenham to win to nil 6/5 Skybet Villas-Boas may well choose to rest some players in this match with Spurs playing Arsenal at the weekend but the home side have a good enough squad now that he can do that and still be competitive in this game. Spurs have enough quality to control this game on the front foot and I would expect them to win this second leg and to do so without conceding. Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Regarding Besiktas - Tromsø A important point here is that Besiktas is thrown out by UEFA due to match-fixing, but has an apeal to the ruling, like Fenerbache had. - And regarding the verdict it does not look to good for Besiktas since Tromsø allready has got a invitation from UEFA to attend the Europa League draw in Monaco on Friday.....

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Could be that Norwegians go there and relax knowing that if they get pumped they're still in who knows? But football players play football and want to please the fans. On Pinnacle this fixture has a little "(n)" next to the fixture. Wonder what that means. Neutral venue?

According to UEFA (http://www.uefa.com/uefaeuropaleague/season=2014/matches/round=2000468/match=2012448/prematch/player-lists/index.html) the game is played at Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadı (Besiktas home ground)

Sorry Kevshat but I do not agree with you here. Petrolul will attack from the first minute, although they are one class above Swansea they are dreaming with eyes wide open. The fans are making a wonderful atmosphere and I predict a high scorring game. Swansea to score twice is also a good bet because the Romanian team will surely concede at least one goal tonight. I hope I didn't upset you, I just wanted to present my point of view.

Tromso defender Ruben Kristiansen 27/0 is back in the squad and ready to play after injury ,while key defender Saliou Ciss 24/0 is sold 3 days ago to (FC Valenciennes, Ligue 1 France) . I saw first round and Besiktas missed many chances for goal, after Inexistent penalty given in Tromso favor in second half today's game appears almost insignificant for Besiktas.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August

Braga at $1.39 stand out as the best value bet for mine. Not only are they a stronger team in a much stronger league then the Romanian team but they are unbeaten in 13 matches dating back to may. Braga take a 1-0 lead into this leg and are obviously alot stronger at home. Braga win @ $1.39 Betfair 10 points.
My opinion is that this is very bad value. I would take 1.39 for a much bigger and more pronounced class gap than the one between Braga and Panduri. Portuguese Liga Sagres is surely stronger than Romanian Liga 1, but the difference is not so big, and it is made mainly by Porto and Benfica. By the way, last year Braga played in CL group stages against another Romanian outfit, which is similar in class to Panduri - CFR CLuj, and lost both games to the Romanians. Yes, things are different one year later, but my point is that Braga is not so much stronger than Panduri, as to make 1.39 a valuable price.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Aidymac it looks like game Thun - Partizan are missing on this list :unsure ... anyway bets are 2.15 - 3.10 - 3.40 Some info about Partizan : They travel to Switzerland with only one striker Mitrovic who allready singed for Anderlecht and this is his last game since he tomorrow travel to Belgium. Kojic is injured , Foffana cant play and Scepovic is going to leave the club so he is not on the list for tonight game. The way Partizan plays in Europe is totally different then in Serbia League. In Europe 4 of their last game was under 2.5 which I expect tonight as well. The thing is that I dont know anything about Thun but they last 5 games in all competiton, 4 came under. I think Partizan will play very defensive so probably result will be 1-0 , 0-0. My prediction: Under 2.5 @ 1.75 at local bookies.

This is most posible outcome but i'm affraid what if Thun scores an early one. Then they will both go with more attacking style. Don't underestimate Thun's attacking part. Away they are not so efficient but on home turf they will play more agressively ;) Also do you think Partizan can defend away 90 minutes without getting a goal? After all their coach said they will be the ones to go for an early goal to shock opponents.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August TOTTENHAM – DINAMO TBLISI Dinamo Tblisi will have a real hard time scoring in this match and that’s what im gonna base my bet on. First of all they haven’t managed to score on their home turf in front of their audience where they usually have more chances to score than away. Second of all, Tottenham has already shown that they wont underestimate them and I expect a dose of seriousness in this rematch. In all last three matches Spurs had a clean sheet and their opponents were all much stronger teams than Dinamo. Even if AVB uses some rotations in lineup today (which I doubt) they will primarily be in the offensive part. On all that we must add that Dinamo will surely miss Xisco, their best and most experienced striker. My perspective of this match is that Dinamo will “park their bus” in their own half and try to save themselves from some kind of debacle against Soldado and company. I’m sure that English team will score so this bet definitely has a value. Bet: home team wins without receiving a goal Odds: 1.95

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Spartak - St Gallen 1 (-1) 1,75 Pinnacle In this game Spartak won't defend a 0-0, the home side will have the support of the fans wich will bring the players forward. In the first match, we wanted badly a goal, we scored and after we sit back and allowed St Gallen to get level. In the league match we lost at Perm, but without many regulars who were rested for this Euro clash Spartak have the youngest team among all Russian Pl sides, a very fast midfield, the main problem, defense that can do silly mistakes. The transition between midfield and attack is fast, wings Aiden Mc'Geady and Kombarov cand do a lots of damage, still being a young team we foul a lots and get exposed to many cards.. As an ultra, I think the support of the fans from the very first minute is very important, I wish the stadium look like Fener or Galatasaray where the fans are really close to the pitch and can be the 12th player. Even so, today in Moscow we will sing and lead the red and white to the victory, from the first mminutes Are you ready For some football.. We're here Two teams One goal Victory is ours. Good luck to you, my dear Sparta From the red and white Go, Spartak! Hey, Hey you, St. Gallen get out of our way Because today is our day, and we will put you right away! Don't hesitate, Spartak The match has just begun Intimidate and dominate We are the number 1! One for all and all for one Oykb We are the spartans mighty, mighty spartans. Everyone in the FRATRIA get on your feet and let's drop a bea Gooooo Spartaaaak!

I think he means that Besiktas are 99% administratively out of Europe, as it seems almost certain their appeal will be rejected by UEFA commission. So, most likely this game will be just for prestige.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August St. Liege - Minsk It looks like the visitors will be without three of there ordinary defenders (Sverchinski (16 matches), Sosnovski (19 matches) and Rnic (14 matches)) and also Razin (MF 16 matches 3 goals) might miss this match. I don't find any info about St. Liege but i know that they are very organised as a team and that they havnt lost a game this season with a 10-0 in goals. They did win the first game with 2-0 (away) so i wonder if they will go all in today and make the best of this game? St. Liege season have just started and after 5 games, as said above, they are undefeated with 10-0 in goals. Minks is on position 8 after 21 rounds and that means that they are on releagation round place with there 24 points, and +4 points to be on the championship round side of the tabel. So the question for Minsk is: Try to turn 2-0 to 2-2 (or win) or give up and start look at the league to secure a place in the correct round. I think they will go for the second option and with three defenders missing i find the odds around 2.30 on St. Liege to win with +3 goals attractive on HCP(0-2)

Besiktas normal home stadium is under construction at the moment, so the match is played at Atatürk Olimpiyat Stadi in Istanbul, which did not seem to bother Besiktas in the season-opener against Trabzon: In front of 50,000 Besiktas fans "smashed" 2-0 (victory was after game and chances too small). A similar number of fans expected to attend against Tromso.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August OK thanks for the info guys, appreciate it. Ferna got a 2 year ban so if Bestikas are also banned for the same amount of time I expect (hope) that they play with anger and assert their superiority to make a statement. If it's their last taste of Europe for 2 years I think this is the most likely reaction.

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Feyenoord - krasnodar First match krasnodar won 1-0 so this game will be hard for Feyenoord. To qualify they need to keep a clean sheet and that is a big problem in their last 5 matches they conceded a goal and scoring three goals against a good team like krasnodar i don't think so. Feyenoord is all about Pelle and the long ball on Pelle and then try to get immers, armenteros and schaken involved in the attack. Pelle is the man to watch, particulary in the Feyenoord stadium "de kuip" when the stadium is getting behind the players. Pelle is getting better and better. One of the specialities of Pelle is the header last week against NAC home (3-1) he scored three goals and Two headers. Also he will take the penalty kicks. I think Krasnador will qualify but the odds around 1.3 i will not get involved. Pelle to score odds 2.2 unibet 5/10 Pelle to score with a header odds 6.0 unibet 2/10

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August Tottenham - Dinamo Tbilisi I really think that Dinamo won`t score a goal today. They didn`t score in the first game, and on other side,in last three games,Tottenham had a clean sheet. Odds @ 2.00,I`m 7/10 sure. What do you think?

Re: Europa League - Thursday 29th of August

Could be that Norwegians go there and relax knowing that if they get pumped they're still in who knows? But football players play football and want to please the fans. On Pinnacle this fixture has a little "(n)" next to the fixture. Wonder what that means. Neutral venue?
My point is that this is a x-factor to the game that has to been in mind if any big positions is taken. - You never know what is going on in the players head with news like this. GL.
