kevshat
The next PTC tournament begins in Germany on Friday and is televised on Eurosport almost through its entirety. It is the Paul Hunter Classic so is a tournament all the players want to win which makes for a good weekend. kevshat
Re: Paul Hunter Classic (ET4) 23-25 Aug Tournament preview: 1pt ew S.Murphy to win Paul Hunter Classic 16/1 Boylesports (1/4 1-4) In the third quarter the only household big names are Neil Robertson and Shaun Murphy and it is the latter I like this weekend. Murphy bounced into a bit of form in Doncaster last weekend when he made the semi final of the PTC there, before he lost to Ricky Walden. That was a welcome return to form and he can continue that here in Germany. This tournament is often won by a big name given the name it carries which inspires the top players. Mark Selby has won it for the last two years and Murphy can keep the big name theme going by winning this weekend. kevshat
Re: Paul Hunter Classic (ET4) 23-25 Aug Saturday previews: 4pts L.Haotian to beat J.Jones 6/5 BetVictor Lu is very talented and if he can play like he did against O’Sullivan last week then he would have every chance in this match. Even when Jamie Jones wins matches he isn’t as convincing as you’d like him to be which is a concern for his fans. Lu is a heavy scorer and has that fearlessness of youth which can see him play with a bit more freedom and win this one. Baird should be well suited to these tournaments given that he is a heavy scorer and likes to attack the table. Chuang is a little more defensive even though he has plenty of talent so with that in mind I’ll take the Englishman in this one.
