I don't get why sociedad are so high? I know they have champions league but even if they rest players they should beat elche away from surely???? Newly promoted team against a top 4-5 team? Just don't get why sociedad are such high odds? Can anyone shed any light???

Having watched the Rayo v Elche game live I must say Elche seemed pretty poor and the 3-0 result could've been more. I have to agree that this is very good odds for the away side. The only thing I can see as you mentioned is the champs league tie of real sociedad, however they are only nipping over the border to France so not much to worry about. I'm goin to go on the visitors and again attend the match.

Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August elche is not poor at all. i watched them last week and their defending was pretty well organised. their strategy seems to be to defend deep for first twenty minutes then gradually try to control midfield. i think their strength are quick counter attacks which they do and go with four players in attack. they should have scored at least two goals but i guess when they get accustomed to la liga they will get some good results at home.

Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August Elche - Real Sociedad AW? dc x2? i saw Elche during first half against Rayo and they weren't bad,Rayo scored 2 but Elche was better than Rayo specially on first 30 mins.Real Sociedad was simply great at Lyon where they had a great day.now after 2-0 away morale will be high.of course Real Sociedad is favourite here but i need expert's help to have a better idea.maybe that game is more Tricky than we can imagine.i think Elche will have strong support for their first home game on Liga!

Levante changed a lot so they will have main problems at the beginning.Sevilla also lost best players like Negredo and Navas but they have good quality too,better than Levante Betis - Celta Vigo over 2,5/HW Betis played very good at Bernabeu.lucky was not behind them.Celta conceded 2 after to be 2-0 against Espanol.Luis Enrique defence is well known;simply horrible(i remember him as AS Roma trainer),Betis will score a few for sure but maybe will concede. i see 2-1/3-1 here Granada CF - Real Madrid AW 7/10 Over 2,5 7/10 Over 3,5 4/10 Real can't lose points in that kind of game.last season it cost them Liga! of course Real was lucky last round but they have great quality on field and even they don't play good usually,they will win against a relegation team as Granada Malaga - Barcelona AW 9/10 Huge quality difference.after all what happened on Malaga,i don't see them to create big problemes to Barca.of course low odds.but H-1 for Barca seem good to.over2,5/3,5 sound nice to me!

They got Postiga and Pabon as a replacement for Soldado. I dont see that Espanyol can get more then one point in this game.

Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August Elche - Real Sociedad There is not much to bet on today. For me, looking at the coupon brought only one game that calls me to place my money on. Real Sociedad has shown that they are very ready for big goals. In the first round Real managed to pick all three points against Getafe and the performance against favorited Lyon was amazing. They dominated the game from beginning to the end and you simply have to give them credit for that performance. Elche underperformed last wee and lost the season opener against Rayo with three goals in their net, without response.They will miss Sanchez tonight and I can't see that they will be any kind of a threat to Sociedad guys, they are simply on a fire. Real Sociedad has no new problems with injuries and current list Ifran, Agirettxe, Angel, Gonzalez, Griezmann and Martinez should not cause any problems, as it didn't in the last two games. Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August Villarreal had some problems but when quick and smart players like Pereira, Aquino and Giovani played together, they looked nice, quick fresh attack. I think that game was a good match for Almeria, with on-fire striker Rodri (he scored again yesterday against Getafe) performing very well. Looks like Valencia is having some problems. Djukic will be a very good coach, but against Málaga Valencia only had Postiga (signed two days before), because Jonas was not able to play and new signing Pabón (very interesting player the former Parma and Betis forward) was not transfered yet. Young boy Fede played on the right side of the field, but I think this place will be for Pabón. Also Valencia has problems with Jeremy Mathieu and Guaita. The french defender said that he only want to play at central defender and keeper was not happy about being reserve on first game. Parejo will be important for this team and he's ready to play. I took Villarreal when was at 2 but at 1,70 I don't see value. Betis-Celta looks over, I agree.

I think they will come unstuck against better defensive teams. they look like conceding at all times and while they can score goals they will most likely concede as well. I think the price of valladolid is gift

Having been at last weeks rayo v Elche game what you are describing is the complete opposite of what happened. Infact Elche were the better side in the first 20-30 minutes then rayo scored and them the killer goal came on the stroke of half time. I'm not saying Elche are a poor side but didn't look great after the first 30mins last week. Maybe Elche aren't so used to being a couple of goals down with winning the league lat season and there heads really seemed to drop after the 2nd goal last week.

Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August Hi everyone! for me the bets of the weekend in Spain (I'm from Barcelona) are: Real Sociedad DNB (1.78) + Sevilla DNB (1.65) Stake 6/10 Real Sociedad is playing quite well and it looks like they will finish in Top 6 minimum. The problem is that they'll play Champions League and they don't have enough players for that. So I expect a Real Sociedad with decreasing level during the season. On the agains team, Elche is a new team in the 1st Division with similar base players from last year in 2nd Division. For me, they're the most candidate to relegate before Easter. Real Sociedad will not play with all the players thinking in the 2nd leg of the Previous Round from Champions League agains Olympique Lyon but I think the can beat Elche. I'm with the DNB 'cause all the good players will not play, they are playing away and they might be a little bit tired from Tuesday's match (it's still very early to be fit). The other match against Levante and Sevilla should be for the away team but Sevilla hasn't started so well and they lost the top players (Negredo, Jesús Navas,...). On the other side, Levante was ridiculous against Barcelona in Camp Nou. They don't have such good players and they will suffer so much to stay next year on the 1st Division. I'm also with the DNB because this are the first matches of the season and Sevilla plays away. Good luck (and sorry for my English)!

Re: La Liga > 23rd - 26th August Granada CF - Real Madrid, 26/08/13 Have been watching stats for this game, and finally managed to find amazing price on "To score in both halves" market. There is not much to be said about Real Madrid, they will drop very few points this season - they have priority to reclaim the title and Carlo is aware of that. No UEFA games for them till the group stage of Champions League begin and I'm sure they will focus on claiming 100% victories till that time comes. Carlo has no squad problems except Alonso, but there is plenty other players to replace him. Granada started a season with nice 2:1 victory against Osasuna, but I don't think they will be able to produce any kind of serious threat to big Real. I also have to take note that CR7 didn't score in last game, hence the probability that he will score in this game is quite bigger, in my book at least. I will not tell you to place your money on Real, as I see no value in that bet. Value is placed in Real "To Score in Both Halves" for me. 1.8 @ WHill
