Re: July 29 - August 4 Two for tonight in the States: - ATP Washington R2: OVER 22.5 GAMES in Sam Querrey v Denis Istomin @ 1.80 with sbobet Clash between two massive servers with average return games. Querrey hasn't played since Newport and is entitled to be a bit rusty as a result. He does lead the H2H 2-0 and I'd expect him to win in this kind of event against Istomin, but a couple of close sets and a tie-break are very possible, as I can't see either man getting much of a read on serve. I'd have this line at 23 games at least considering the men involved. - ATP Washington R2: BERNARD TOMIC -2.5 GAMES v David Goffin @ 1.86 with sbobet Goffin has undoubtledly hit a winning patch, taking a Challenger title in Istanbul and then defeating Lu yesterday, but Tomic is by far the best player he's faced in that run. Moreover, the Belgian has been serving atrociously - he was broken five times by Lu, yet got over the line because the man from Taipei served worse than him. It's hard to see Tomic being as charitable. Much better server and a better returner than Lu. Goffin has had problems all year on serve, especially with double faults, and now that Tomic has rediscovered a little bit of form and stability since his father's antics in Madrid, he looks a far steadier player. I think he'll be too strong for Goffin, despite losing to him at Wimbledon last year.

Re: July 29 - August 4 5pts D.Tursunov to beat J.Levine -2.5 games 1.80 Bet365 Tursunov not been enjoying the clay recently can do well here and return to more familiar surroundings. He has beaten some top players this year on the hard-courts and I don't see the likes of Levine stopping him here. Levine got here via a lucky loser set-up and despite some early year form he hasn't beaten anyone of any significance since he beat Robredo at the Australian Open. Turs the better on this surface and Turs the better player.

Re: July 29 - August 4 4pts B.Tomic to beat D.Goffin 2-0 2.37 Bet365 Goffin's win over Lu was given to him asfar as I'm concerned. He has done OK as of late on the hard-courts but he hasn't beaten anyone of any substance. Today he will play someone who has beaten some top, tough players on this surface. Tomic has won the majority of the matches he has played on the hard-courts this year and he is solid. I think there is alot of value in this pick

Re: July 29 - August 4 2pts S.Groth to beat M.Raonic 7.00 Bet365 A bit of a gamble this one and it's all about how rubbish Raonic is at returning really. I think I've probably laid Raonic every match he has played over the last 3 months and it's worked well. I thought coming into this tournament I could back him again on the hard because of that serve. Unfortunately though, Groth can also serve and Raonic isn't a good returner which makes me think "overs" which is a good pick but if I think it's going to be close Id rather take the 6/1 on Groth. This might be a silly bet, but if set 1 gets to 6-6 I'll be happy.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Lukas Lacko(2.02 at Pinnacle) to beat Marcos Baghdatis Can't see where this optimism comes from when it comes to Baghdatis as the price for his win has dropped!? He's plain awful for a very long time, with 9 first-round failures in the last 9 tournaments, with no signs of improvements and with a very low confidence. On the top of his game he's surely better than Lacko, but under the current circumstances Lacks stands a very strong chance to get as winner out of this clash. Marina Erakovic(2.37 at Pinnacle) to beat Urszula Radwanska A pure value IMO! Erakovic is an up-and-down players, but still more talented than Urszula who's a bit of an overachiever. Erakovic has struggled with the injuries over the past few years, but she's on the way to back where she belongs. Erakovic is a better all-round player than Urszula and her chances of winning this one are surely much higher than these odds suggest. Julia Goerges(1.57 at Pinnacle) to beat Sesil Karatantcheva Once the biggest rising star around, Sesil still keeps struggling to get even close to the level she used to be on before suspension. She's still capable of performing and troubling anyone here and there, but it doesn't happen too often, so even if Goerges is nowhere near being impressive right now, it's hard to see any upset here. Sesil has the habit to go for her shots, but with no form and confidence she's much more likely to make a series of UEs. Tamira Paszek +4.5(2.07 at Pinnacle) to beat Daniela Hantuchova At worst Paszek should be able to cover this HC, but considering Hantuchova's shaky form of late it would be no surprise if she wins the match at the end of the day. Paszek's enjoying very poor season, but she's raised her game recently, and being a hard-worker on the court there's no doubt she'll be looking to make it very hard for Daniela.

Tursunov to beat Levine @ 1.73 @ StanJames This match features Jesse Levine ranked 124th in the world and Dmitry Tursunov ranked 61st in the world. Jesse Levine is only in this round as the lucky loser. He lost to Sugita (155) in the first round in 3 sets. These odds are bound to drop as the rest of the bookies have already reduced them! Tursunov has reached the semi final here in the past, this proves he can play on this surface relatively well. In Levine's last 11 matches he has just 3 wins (One of these his opponent retired)! This shows he is in very poor form! His only wins in completed matches have been against 2 players ranked outside the top 131! When we look into the hard court record's Tursunov is certainly the better on the surface winning 237 matches to 134 loses! Compare this with Levine who has won just 107 matches to 105 loses on hard court! Tursunov also has a good record on hard court this season winning 7 matches to just 2 loses! Levine's poor hard court record is also shown here where he has lost in qualification once and the first round twice!
Winnerr. Tursunov was borderline awful. Think I will be backing Simon 2-0 in the next round for him

Re: July 29 - August 4 I fancy Hanescu to beat Montanes. Both clay court specialists but the Romanian has been serving very well of late and putting lots of pressure on his opponents serve. Head 2 head is 5-5 with 3 wins each on the dirt. Think the Romania will have more opportunities to break serve and I'm taking him at $1.72 with sports tab

Re: July 29 - August 4 Two bets in Austria for me: - ATP Kitzbuhel R2: DANIEL GIMENO-TRAVER to beat Jan Hajek @ 2.00 with sbobet Recent H2H form suggests that Hajek has the upper hand between these two, but my money is down on DGT here. He was very convincing against Veic in R1 and the way he pushed Wawrinka close in Gstaad last week suggests he enjoys playing at altitude. The Spaniard has a bit more aggression and power in his game and that could be the key, as Kitzbuhel tends to reward more adventurous shot-makers. Hajek's having a decent year, but this might be the right time to go with the Spaniard, who is threatening to click and burst into some form. - ATP Kitzbuhel R2: FERNANDO VERDASCO -4 GAMES AH v Guillermo Garcia-Lopez @ 1.98 with sbobet Two Spaniards clash in this tie and I'm siding with the left-handed one. GGL had a real slugfest with Bellucci yesterday. He served a dozen doubles faults and spurned serving for the match at least once. Although this is Nando's first match of the tournament, he should be too strong for his compatriot. He has hit a decent patch with a nice display at Wimbledon before losing to Delbonis in Hamburg and I'd say he is the more aggressive and more consistent player out of these two. Verdasco leads the H2H 3-1 too and I feel he ought to take this match with a bit to spare.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Simon -2.5 to beat Tursunov - Pinnacle @ 1.75 This match features Gilles Simon ranked 17th in the world and Dmitry Tursunov ranked 61st in the world! Yesterday Tursunov faced Levine and won in straight sets. However this does not tell the whole story, it was a very close match that was in fact won 7-6, 7-5. Levine should of certainly won a set, his failure to win break points let him down. Tursunov was very poor in the match, in the first set Levine had 5 break points on the Tursunov first serve and only won 1! In the second set Levine had 4 break points on the Tursunov serve and only won 1. Tursunov was serving very poorly all match and I would expect Simon to punish him! Simon has only played here on one occasion where he reached the quarter final. He beat Roddick in straight sets on this occasion which is a decent win! Simon has been good on hard court all season. He has only lost to the likes of Murray, Anderson, Baghdatis and Haas! Where as he has beat the likes of, Zemlja, Monfils, Paire, Hewitt and Tipsarevic! These two have met on one occasion where Simon won in straight sets and would of covered todays handicap! This match was also played on hard court. Tursunov came into this tournament in poor form, winning just 3 of his last 10 matches. Losing to the likes of Marchenko, Delbonis and De Bakker! Where as Simon has been more consistent with his game winning 6 of his last 9 matches and only losing to Federer and Lopez twice! Beating the likes of, Hewitt, Querrey, Tomic and Seppi along the way! Tursunov has also lost his last 5 matches when underdog priced between 2.00-2.99 No surprise to see Atko's first tip of the day wins! Nice work again!

Re: July 29 - August 4 Back Kei Nishikori (-3.5) to beat Jack Sock for a 2/10 stake at 1.95 with Bwin I already have Nishikori to win outright, but I am also willing to have a punt on him here. Jack Sock's victory Sijsling doesn't really tells us that much and Nishikori is a level or two above him in longer rallies, so I expect him to start this event with a comfortable victory over the American. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/nishikori-vs-sock-betting-kei-nishikori-should-have-no-problems-in-his-first-match-of-the-week Back Laura Robson (+1.5 sets) to beat Petra Kvitova for a 2/10 stake at 1.70 with Pinnacle I am usually all for going against the Czech number one whenever there is a chance that she is going to turn up a bit undercooked and this looks like one of those spots in which she could be very vulnerable. Decent fight from Robson yesterday as well, so I can definitely see her taking a set - or even the match - off Kvitova today. Re: July 29 - August 4 Quite a trappy card Stateside tonight. Just the one bet for me: - ATP Washington R2: JOHN ISNER -3.5 GAMES v Alex Kuznetsov @ 1.87 with sbobet Banking on Isner to continue his good form after winning Atlanta, but I think he will. This is his bread and butter, these American hard court events. I feel there's quite a big gulf in class between these two players. Isner's serve is obviously very tough to deal with, but he's quite clinical when he gets chances against his opponent's and Kuznetsov will cough up chances. He played quite a messy match with Bogomolov yesterday and on that form, I don't think he will be able to deal with his compatriot. Handicap is appealing enough for me.

Re: July 29 - August 4 3pts G.Simon to beat D.Tursunov 2-0 2.00 Bet365 Tursunov just isn't serving well enough to trouble Simon here. He struggled with Levine and gave away many break points and was lucky Levine wasn't good enough to take more than 2. Simon will be a far harder opponent and should win here quite easily and the evens on the 2-0 win again seems nice value here.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Back James Duckworth to beat Kevin Anderson @ 6.40 >Betfair Anderson did well last week to reach the final in Atlanta, but I think he might be feeling a little deflated after having match points against Isner and failing to take them. He should still be able to win this match, but I think Duckworth has a good enough serve to keep it close. His recent form on hard courts is reasonable, beating Bedene in Colombia and then losing narrowly to Pospisil before reaching the final of the Lexington Challenger last week. He beat Sugita with something to spare in his first match here so is up to speed with conditions, and so he might be able to catch Anderson cold in what will be his first match of the tournament. Back Ryan Harrison to beat Juan Martin Del Potro @ 5.40 >Betfair Harrison has had a good run of results on hard courts, reaching the last four in Atlanta and beating Hewitt in his first match here. Del Potro is the favourite for this tournament, which is understandable but at the same time he hasn't played since Wimbledon. One thing I like about Harrison is that although he is lacking in some aspects of his game, one thing he doesn't seem to lack is fight. He had a rough period after the Australian Open where he was being beaten easily, but besides that he has played quite a few long matches, most notably against Isner at the French Open. I don't think he will give this match to Del Potro, and if the Argentine is rusty then I think Harrison is in good enough form to knock out the top seed.

Re: July 29 - August 4 2pts R.Stepanek -3.5 games to beat M.Llodra 2.00 Bet365 The head to head between these 2 is 6-1 to Stepanek and the last 2 times they played (both on hard) it was 2-0 to Stepanek and he covered the handicap. Llodra is a decent player and he has every chance of winning a set so I will take on the games market here. His serve means Stepanek should be fine on his own games so 1 break a set will be enough here.

Re: July 29 - August 4 2pts R.Haase to beat F.Verdasco 2.37 Bet365 Haase not respected again here. They have met only once before and Haase won on the grass. Haase has done well against lefties and has a better record on the clay this year then his opponent. Haase loves it here. I've said it before but 2 years here in a row he has won. He beat Brands 2-0 and Brands is in great form recently beating both Federer & Berlocq. Verdasco on the other hand seems to have stumbled here struggling against Belucci & Garcia-Lopez. Haase has a great chance to make it to his third Semi-final in 3 years.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Quite alot of value around today. You could make shouts for all the underdogs. Traver beat Monaco on the clay already recently and Monaco isn't playing at his best. Haase is playing the better of the two Vs Verdasco and Leo Mayer definitely has a shout against Granollers.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Anyone else sees value in WTA Washington Monica Niculescu to bt Madison Keys @2.67 local bookie (3/10) ? The key point is this is their first mutual match. Madison is big talent, but relatively unexperienced 18yrs old American player. Her results are quite good, but she is highly prone to hand out her match out easy when she does not feel comfortably. I went against her in her match vs Dushevina last week, and I am going against her today again. I know no WTA player that feels comfortably when facing Monica Niculescu :-) Monica's unorthodox slicing style is a headache for far better and more experienced players than Keys, and no way this is going to be piece of cake for Madison. adding U.Radwanska vs J.Jankovic OVER 21.5 games @1.95 local bookie (3/10) U.Rad is a fighter, while JJ plays somewhat below her par laterly, I expect tight battle here.

Re: July 29 - August 4 Back Albert Montanes (-4) to beat Dominic Thiem for a 2/10 stake at 1.81 with Pinnacle Very stupid from me to back Melzer before seeing him play, he was really poor against Thiem yesterday. Montanes won't be - and I can see him putting his experience to good use and pushing Thiem into plenty of unforced errors with his solid baseline play. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/montanes-vs-thiem-betting-albert-montanes-should-be-way-too-strong-for-dominic-thiem Back Monica Niculescu to beat Madison Keys for a 2/10 stake at 2.80 with Pinnacle Madison Keys still seems to be fairly shaky when taken out of her comfort zone and Monica Niculescu is a player that has the right playing style for doing just that, so I wouldn't be surprised by seeing the Romanian slicing her way to a win in Washington today. i am sorry to correct you coz happened to watch match yesterday live from al jazeers sports, Brands was simply TERRIBLE and 100% unmotivated, in my eyes he was looking like he decided before the match to give up from tournament....therefore, the Haase victory is meaningless here.:clap..

You're not correcting me. You cannot correct someone when it's an opinion. He IS in good form. He had won 4 of his last 6 before that match only losing to Federer (who he then beat) and Hanescu. edit *also when I hear people say "he looked like he had decided to give up before * I can't take that post seriously because that's just a ridiculous comment. Look at his stats against Berlocq. Berlocq had 76% first serve and was playing well and he still beat him and ground him out. Then he is going to say "oh no. I'm not going to bother now" and gives up right? lol

Re: July 29 - August 4 Alot of the tipsters have gone with Haase today! But not me haha Verdasco -2.5 to beat Haase - Pinnacle @ 1.99 This match features Fernando Verdasco ranked 33rd in the world and Robin Haase ranked 68th in the world. Now you may think this is strange going against the inform Haase. Verdasco is in great form winning 11 of his last 14 matches! Beating the likes of Malisse, Gulbis, Almagro, Dimitrov and Janowicz.I think Pinnacle are reading into Haase's record at this tournament to much! Whilst Haase has never lost here Verdasco also has a very good record and suits his game! In his last 4 visits here he has reached 3 semi finals and 1 final! Therefore his record is up there with Haase's.This will be Robin's 8th game in 10 days which can be very tiring for a player! I expect this to have an effect on him today. Where as Verdasco has had a good rest after playing in Hamburg.I watched Haase play Brands yesterday and whilst he was impressive it was not an easy match. Haase looked very vulnerable on serve. He actually faced 6 break points but Brands was unable to win 1!This is the last clay tournament of the season therefore I expect Verdasco to put in his all to do well this week!Verdasco has a great clay court record winning 159 matches to 94 loses on the ATP tour. Compare this with Haase who has won 45 matches to 36 loses on clay. It is obvious Verdasco has more experience and the better record.

Re: July 29 - August 4 2pts M.Matosevic to beat M.Raonic 4.00 Bet365 I can't help myself. Matosevic has impressed here and again he can serve well like Raonic and that points to alot of games and a tight match like raonic's first match. I just think there is value here. The head-2-head reads 1 match all. Hopefully Matosevic to win at big odds.
