Stakhovsky to beat Melzer 8/11 Ladbokes I also think Stakhovsky will win after his high level against Federer and as an earlier poster has said that Melzer is injured I am happy to take lower odds in order to collect in case Melzer retires. A fully fit Melzer would struggle with Stakhovsky in his current form anyway.
Apparently Melzer is retiring this season, this is a huge match for him, that's why I'm staying away.

Dolonc to beat Flipkens 2.94 with Pinnacle (7/10 points) Everyone thinks flipkens is some grass court genius because she has a slice backhand, it's not true, she's effective on the grass, but she's no Vinci or Radwasnka on the surface. Dolonc is a young and capable player, she's still learning the trade but she more than can match it with the top girls. She outplayed Jankovic and showed me one thing, she can deal with player's that can now and again be passive and rely on changing the variation up in terms of the pace of the ball. She has an aggressive game and Flipkens hasn't proven to be mentally the most toughest lately.
Vesna Dolonc leads series 2-0 Forgot to add. 2009 hardcourt, straight sets and 2007, indoor hardcourt, straight sets.

Re: Wimbledon 2013

Well' date=' Keys has all the big shots, consistency is what the match is going to be about. If she can keep hitting the big shots, she should have a shot against Radwanska. If she can't, I am afraid that Radwanska will just let her self-destruct, since she does not make that many errors herself. BetVictor have apparently decided to open the market at 4.60 for Keys, but I am really not sure if I would want to back her outright, since she could easily choke given the occasion. I would probably want to see the handicap and total games lines first before deciding on anything really.[/quote'] I saw this aswell, down to 4 now. Was going to write a tip on it but didnt have time :/ Pretty annoyed, I have watched both of Key's matches now and she has been very very good! My only fear is that the occasion gets to her!

Re: Wimbledon 2013 David Ferrer vs Roberto Bautista Agut over 31.5 games 10/11 skybet i think this could be tough for ferrer as they is no easy matches in this tournament as players seem to be playing their best against the top players also ferrer is carrying an injury so he might not be fully fit Kaia Kanepi vs Angelique Kerber over 21.5 games 4/5 skybet this is a match which so evenly matched so either could win it will go down who breaks first so three sets could be the way to go

Re: Wimbledon 2013 I like Melzer, Robredo +9 and Monaco -5, not sure if I have the confidence to back them! Robredo looks like he can be a threat to Murray, Mahut gave Murray a close game at Queens and Robredo beat Mahut 3-0.... Melzer usually does well here and is the better opponent, Stak is favourite because he beat Fed. These are not tips just thoughts! Opinions appreciated!

Re: Wimbledon 2013

[... snip ...] Kvitova to beat Makarova 4/5 Boylesports Ok. So I know Kvitova has been struggling with her confidence and had another lapse against Vanderweghe in the first round. I do not take the warm up grass tournaments into account as Wimbledon itself is totally different, For example Makarova has won Eastbourne and did well there last week but her record at Wimbledon so far is terrible, never progressing beyond the second round. The only person who has beaten Kvitova at Wimbledon in the last three years has been Williams and in the last 2 grand slams she lost in a very close third set to both Robson and Hampton. Grass is her best surface and she should get a good few cheap points both on her serve and groundies. If she gets off to a good start Makarova will struggle. She may or may not let her back into the match but I think ultimately will win. The match is on her racquet one way or the other and while many of you might disagree with me but I am not changing my stance on her. I think her price is massive! [... snip ...]
Be warned that Kvitova has health problems with her hip since R1, and she told to the media that she is very glad to have W/O with Shvedova, so that she has two free days more to heal it.

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Any thoughts on Bartoli and Giorgi? Bartoli is not one to ultimately put faith in and Giorgi won their only head to head this season on clay 6-3 6-2. But can't ignore that Giorgi has just about got 50% of her first serves in, in both matches so far and against Cirstea last time she served 11 double faults and made 36 unforced errors in two sets. Surely, if she plays anything like this against Bartoli, Bartoli wins. 3 points on Bartoli beating Giorgi @ 4/7 Ladbrokes

Re: Wimbledon 2013 6pts J.Wang Vs T.Haas [under 29.5 games] 1.83 Bet365 Eh? Haas is going to win this in 3 sets so all he would need to do is break once in each set. Haas is 10x the player Wang is. I actually had Odesnik to beat Wang in the first round he nearly did (having match point) that was a long drawn out game where Haas will be fresh from thrashing Tursunov 3-0. You must say if he can beat Turs easily, he should have no issues with Wang and he will be well up for this game with all the semi-favourites going out and having problems. 2pts K. De Schepper to beat J.Monaco 3.25 Bet365 Juan Monaco isn't a grass player and although he had one of the easiest round 1 games he still lost the first set. He beat Ram 3-1 but I think he is going to have more problems with De Schepper. Ram only has 5 aces this year. De Schepper has 33. He can serve well and I think Monaco on his un-favoured surface will struggle with that. Monaco on the grass has a record of 5-9 where as De Schepper has a record of 21-8 so I just can't take monaco at them odds. More value in an upset. 3pts J.Janowicz to beat N.Almagro 1.72 Bet365 1pt J.Janowicz to win 3-0 4.00 Bet365 I think Janowicz will come through here. He will be the most fresh. He won first round easily against Edmund who would of been well up for that game after pushing Ferrer close. He then beat Stepanek after Step retired in the second set but that game was going much the same way as Edmunds. Almagro has Zopp in round 1 and won 3-0 but they were sets that actually pushed Almagro 7-5 7-5 6-4 and he should be winning that much easier. He then lost a set to Rufin too and he doesn't look in good form. It's a shame we have such poor odds on Janowicz, but I'm taking the 3-0 too (again though Id expect more like 6.50-7.50 for 3-0) 2.5pts K.Kanepi vs A.Kerber [Over 20.5 games] 1.90 Bet365 1pt K.Kanepi to beat A.Kerber 3.75 Bet365 Will go against the grain here and go for the value pick and a surprise win for Kanepi. I just don't think that Kanepi is a big a price as 3.75 against Kerber. Kerber isn't THAT much better than Kanepi. She can lose her head sometimes and drops games just like Kanepi can and we could see many ups and downs here. I like the look of Riske to win too Vs Radwanska, however evens are not good enough for me.

Girogi to beat Bartoli 2.71 Pinnacle (7/10 points) I love Giorgi to beat her, already taken it. The Italian has a savvy game and gets down low to balls well due to her diminutive physique, she has no issues dealing with flat hitters, her defence is top notch and she beat Bartoli only a few months ago on clay. Bartoli serves far toomany double faults at inopportune times and let's remember Giorgi reached the round of 16 here last year. Once you get Bartoli on the move, her ball striking is a lot more hit or miss, she's only good when she has time to set herself. Giorgi is a smart Italian player and will use the full width of the court. Bartoli's awful moving forward to the net too and unlike Mchale, Giorgi has a lot of varity.

That doesn't mean much really, it's simply not accurate to suggest if player X beats player Y and player Y beats player Z, that player X must then beat player Z, or atleast push him close. It's about matchups, Mahut is a difficult matchup for Murray on grass. Remember Mahut had played a whole host of tennis in the build up to Wimbledon and in his 30s came into a best of 5 set match against a moonballer. In his match against Robredo he had a whole host of bps in the first set and probably should have won it and ended up losing it by the odd point in the tie break, same thing happened in the 3rd set really. Robredo doesn't have enough weight of shot to trouble Murray in my view, if this was clay he may have been able to stand 50 feet behind the baseline and roll the ball in court and cause Murray trouble, but it's not. Murray should thrash him in all honesty. That's just my view. Good luck with whatever you go with.

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Back Juan Monaco (-4.5) to beat Kenny de Schepper for a 4/10 stake at 1.92 with Pinnacle This line looks coverable to me in all fairness. Monaco might not be a grass court specialist, but I would say that he is universal enough to deal with someone like de Schepper on the surface. The Frenchman is just way too one-dimensional and I just cannot see him troubling Monaco too much in the longer format of the game. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/monaco-vs-de-schepper-betting-juan-monaco-can-progress-through-to-the-next-round-without-any-difficulties-20130628 Back Dustin Brown to beat Adrian Mannarino for a 4/10 stake at 1.71 with Pinnacle Well, this match is probably not going to be among the highlights of the day, but I can see Dustin Brown taking the win here. He has been playing excellent tennis so far and the two victories should give him plenty to build on, while Mannarino has not really had to do that much in order to get here, as Isner retired after just two games in the second round clash between the two. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/brown-vs-mannarino-betting-dustin-brown-s-playing-style-should-be-too-strong-for-adrian-mannarino--20130628 Back Karin Knapp to beat Michelle Larcher de Brito for a 4/10 stake at 2.45 with Pinnacle Well, I just think that de Brito is being a bit overrated here after that shocking win over Sharapova. That might have been brilliant, but Karin Knapp has also been playing well so far, beating Hradecka and Safarova, so she could prove to be a big obstacle for de Brito to deal with. Remember, de Brito was losing against the likes of Parra-Santonja and Pliskova before the Grand Slam, so I just cannot believe that she will start crushing everyone from now on only because of that huge upset. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/knapp-vs-larcher-de-brito-betting-michelle-larcher-de-brito-looks-a-bit-overrated-in-the-third-round-of-this-year-s-wimbledon-20

Re: Wimbledon 2013 For what it's worth I too think that Murray should win easily. He is however prone to concentration lapses. Robredo has a poor record against the top players and is usually swept aside as he lacks the self belief. I did not realise Kvitova had a hip injury but that is my own fault - I am on now. It is a strange day today as many of us seem to be split when it comes to the following matches: Larcher de Brito vs Knapp Kvitova vs Makarova Bouchard vs Suarez Navarro Stakhovsky vs Melzer Almagro vs Janowicz I wish you all luck but not too much if my player is against yours:unsure

Re: Wimbledon 2013 The Mens side of the draw looks very 'trappy' to me today. Dustin brown was superb vs Hewitt, but dont trust him to produce another top performance.Thats why he's 189th in the world, one minute giving Ferrer & Hewitt tough games & then losing a challenger event to a 200+ ranked player. he even said himself his motivation, concentration drops..as favourite today will he 'switch off'? One on womens side look decent price: Cetkovska to beat Stephens @2.37@Bet365(7/10) Cetkovska is playing superb at the moment & hasnt dropped a set through qualifying or the 1st two rouns here.Destroyed both Vekic & Wozniacki & just cant see stephens beating her today.Stephens had a 3 set long match vs Pelkovic last round & overcame a tired Hampton in Round 1.I think Cetkovska is the better player of the two on grass & take her for the win today I've got a Non-wimbledon bet if its Ok mods to stick it in here? Tim Puetz to beat Andrey Golubev Marburg challenger @3.25 Corals(8/10) Wow.what a price on Puetz to beat Golubev in this afternoons quarter Final.I just cant understand why he is not firm favourite for this match.Home advantage & playing really well at the moment.Just beaten Ramirez-Hidalgo last round in a close 3 setter & is playing Golubev has generally been in shocking form in 2013.Puetz win for me. Loving all the tips/insights on this thread.:clap Well done all & good luck with your bets :hope

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Hi Pensioner65, having just checked some details of Puetz - Gobulev: Gobulev is 16/11 on clay this year and he hasn´t reached more than a quarterfinal, mostly sent off in round 1. That supports your pick on first sight. But: both players are same age as Gobulev is much more experienced. Besides he managed to beat Levine and Zemlja in Rom before loosing to Cilic. All these players are part of Wimbledon so they can be called good players and those wins show Gobulevs abilities. Puetz himself has beaten only nameless guys and even Ramirez-Hidalgo is not a top man. OK Puetz record on clay is 16/4 this year and sure he has home advantage, but if Gobulev is focused Puetz will need more than home advantage to beat him. I see a 50:50 chance here and sure, 3.25 is absolutely oversized. Day-form will decide this competition! Value-Pick !!!

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Just to add another Marburg tip that looks quite asy to win: Paul Capdeville to beat Maximo Gonzales @1.60 Youwin/Tipico Marburg Challenger (10/10) Capdeville leading H2H with 6-0 (all clay) having won against Gonzales in straight sets just 16 day ago. It is world ranking number 148 against 370. Odds of 1.60 look strongly overpriced.

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Jerzy Janowicz vs. Nicolas Almagro It is quite surprising to see a match between Jerzy Janowicz from Poland and Spaniard Nicolas Almagro on the Centre Court of the All England Club as usually only British players or the biggest starts of tennis get there at this stage of the Wimbledon Championship but at the same time this could be very interesting and entertaining match. The 21-year-old Pole Jerzy Janowicz used to be a successful junior player, reaching finals at the 2007 US Open and 2008 French Open. He started last season ranked as the world Nr. 221 but achieved some great results during the year, winning a few challengers, reaching the third round here in Wimbledon and mainly a Masters 1000 event final in Paris, where he defeated Kohlschreiber, Cilic, Murray, Tipsarevic and Simon and became a Top30 player. He also made some nice results this year, defeating players like Nalbandian, Gasquet or Tsonga. Janowicz is known for his big serve, attacking tennis with powerful groundstrokes but also nice variety with perfect dropshots and we should also add that he is mentally quite strong. Now he will meet Nicolas Almagro, a Spanish player to whom he lost in three sets at this year´s Australian Open and a stable Top20 player. Also Nicolas Almagro is know for his good serve and especially killing forehand but he is mostly successful on red clay. Yes, he really improved his play on faster surfaces in last years but he is still not that strong outside the red dirt and has 13-12 career record on grass. Another very important factor that should be taken into account when placing this tennis bet is the fact that it should be rainy day in Wimbledon today and so we can expect that this match will be played under closed roof and the indoors conditions will surely be an advantage for Jerzy Janowicz who showed some pretty good tennis in his first two matches in Wimbledon. The match could be pretty close and something like four very close sets looks like a very probable outcome but we are expecting Janowicz to take the match and advance to the next round. Re: Wimbledon 2013 1. Cornet to beat Pennetta @2.04 @Pinnacle I know Cornet is not a grass specialist but she keeps improving her game this year, whereas Pennetta is not tested yet in this tournament. I think Cornet can break her record at Wimbledon again today. 2. J.Wang (+2.5 sets) to beat Haas. 2.91 / Over 29 games. @1.943 @Pinnacle Just as I said yesterday, J. Wang managed to get 1 set when he played against some decent players here in the past. Over 29 games is a safer choice in case there is a close set but Wang loses.

Not bad : ) Tomorrow's previews : 3.5pts B.Paire to beat L.Kubot [-4.5 games] 1.80 Bet365 I'd side with Paire here. Kubot will be fresh that's for sure after getting a free entry by Nadal. Paire leads the head-2-head 4-0. He won on grass too (aswell as Clay and Hard) and this was at a time where Paire was not as good as he was now. He has improved vastly in the last year. 3pts F.Lopez Vs T.Haas [Over 40.5 games] 1.80 PaddyPower 1.5pts F.Lopez to win 2.75 Bet365 I have to say goodbye to one of my Quarter winner tips :( Both have been excellent. Lopez beat Simon 3-0 and then got himself a free pass from Mathieu where as Haas won 3-0 twice. Both of these guys have been immense of late and I think the serving of Lopez will be the key here. Haas leads the head-2-head 2-0 but it's been 10yrs since this. My only worry is Lopez has played ALOT of tennis recently and that's going to test him. 3pts G.Zemlja Vs J.D.Potro [Over 32.5 games] 1.80 PaddyPower 1pt G.Zemlja to beat Del Potro 8.00 Bet365 I think Zemlja has a chance here. Head to head reads 1-0 to Del Potro. Last year he won 7-5 / 6-3 on the hard court. I think on his preferred grass court though if he can play as good as he did, at times vs Dimitrov and Del Potro has an off-game he has a sniff and one thing I would expect is over 32 games. I would imagine Zemlja should be able to atleast get a set, as Del Potro has been close to losing a set to lesser players before this and this will be his first test in my eyes. 3pts M.Erakovic to beat L.Robson 2.75 Bet365 1pt M.Erakovic to win 2-0 4.50 Bet365 These 2 only played a year ago in a Birmingham grass event and Erakovic won 2-1 yet she is priced up at 2.75.. sorry, but too much value to let this one slide. Erakovic beat Morita convincingly in the end after losing the first set she come back to win 6-0 / 7-5. She then beat Peng in straight sets. Robson looked very good against Kirilenko however I wouldn't say she looked too hot against Marino. Alot will depend on her serve. She looked nervous in that game and against a strong opponent things may of been different.

Re: Wimbledon 2013 Keys +5 to beat Radwanksa @ 1.93 - Pinnacle This match features Agnieszka Radwanska ranked 4th in the world and Madison Keys ranked 52nd. So iv been pondering whether to back Keys to win this match outright or with a Handicap. Iv opted with the handicap as its the safer option and that's generally what I do! This is only the 4th time on Betting Kingdom iv opted for the + handicap in well over 100 tips, so hopefully it pays off! Ok onto the reasoning, These two have met once and Radwanska won with ease, however this was on her favoured surface and over a year ago, Keys has proved alot since then! Radwanska has won both of her opening matches in straight sets, however these have been against opponents outside the top 98! Radwanska did not look her best in the last round against Johansson. She even faced 4 break points in the second set against the world number 98. Keys has had a much tougher route to the 3rd round facing Heather Watson (56) in the first round and Mona Barthel in the second round (33). Keys has looked very impressive so far and has won both matches in straight sets! Iv been watching her for a long time now and have concluded she has a big future ahead of herself and can certainly be a top 10 player in the future! I watched Keys play against Watson. Watson did not play bad tennis but Keys was to good for her! She hit a lot of winners and was serving brilliantly. To follow that win up she beat Barthel with ease 6-4 6-2. She did not face a break point all match which shows how well she is serving. Madison Keys is obviously taking this tournament very seriously after playing two warm up tournaments. She reached the quarter final in Birmingham, beating 2 top 33 players along the way, Hampton and Barthel. Where as Radwanska played at Eastbourne and lost in the opening round to Jamie Hampton who Keys beat a week earlier! This shows she can easily be beaten! Madison Keys has one of the best serves in the Womans game, with a fastest serve of 117MPH this week just 6MPH slower than Serena's lowest. She has also served 12aces which will be very beneficial when playing a player of Radwanska's quality. Obviously with such a big serve this will be very helpful. It suggest if Keys is broken, it wont be easy for Radwanska and it shouldn't be very often and should limit the amount of games Radwanska is able to win. Keys has also won 77% of he first serves, therefore this shows how hard it will be for Radwanska and how Keys should be able to hold serve on the majority of her service games if serving well. Keys has also won 59% of points on her second serve, this backs up the above point and is the 7th highest of any player so far this tournament. Radwanska tend to extend points and makes very few unforced errors, however she should find this difficult due to the power Keys has! I really think Keys has a genuine chance of beating Radwanska and should probably be about odds of 3 rather than 4! However I feel she will cover this handicap as long as she doesn't blow up under the big pressure!
