Anipa is the 5th foal of dam Anna Amalia 1st Foal - Filly Ave - 5 career wins from 15 races with the highlight a Grade 1 win in America as a 4yo over 1m 2f on yielding ground. Also a Group 3 winner in Ireland as a 3yo over 1m 1.5f and a listed race at Salisbury over 1m 2f also as a 3yo. Won as a 2yo over 7f on the all weather at Kempton on second start. Had Black type placing as a 3yo in Europe and did well as a 4yo in America in some hig graded races. 2nd Foal - Gelding Dubawi Phantom - Still racing but of limited ability with just one flat win as a 2yo and 2 hurdle wins. Best other performance was 2nd in Group 3 as a 3yo over 1m 3f when second to Bullet Train. 3rd Foal - Gelding Ampleforth -Another with very limited with just 1 win from just 14 runs. 4th Foal - Unraced Anipa is entered in a race on Friday.
Looks a real hot maiden and Anipa looks to have little chance priced at 25/1 (various firms). 1pt win for sake of consistancy but do not hold much hope, if forward enough may run a place. 1pt Win - 18.20 Newmarket - Anipa- Win @ 25/1 PP BOG

Re: Sea The Stars - Sons and Daughters on The Road to Greatness Placidia (DOB 27/03/11) Bay Filly Dam - Palmeraie (Sire - Lear Fan, Dam - Petroleuse) Trainer - David Lanigan Dam Palmeraie raced once when 3rd of 3 runners in France. Placidia is the 12th foal of dam Palmeraie. 1st Foal - Colt Pushkin - Won 4 races in France on turf from a total of 27 races. Won on debut as a 2yo over 8f on good ground. Won as a 3yo over 1m 7f in a listed race on soft ground. Won twice as a 4yo a listed race over 2m on very soft ground and a Group 2 over 1m 6f on good ground. Was also 2nd in group 1 race over 2m 4f and a listed race as a 2yo. Also had 3 thirds in stakes races. Acted on all ground and was clearly a stayer. 2nd Foal - Filly Place Rouge - Did not run as a 2yo making debut at 3yo with 3 wins from 12 races. The highlight been a win in the Group 3 Lancashire Oaks over 1m 4f on good ground as a 4yo. Two other wins were as a 3yo in France a handicap and listed race over 1m 2f and 1m 3f. Best other effort was a 2nd at the Curragh as a 4yo over 1m 2f in a Group 3. 3rd Foal - Colt Policy Maker - Did not run as a 2yo but as a 3yo won 4 from 6 races and career wise won 7 from 23 races with 4 Group 2 victory's at distances of 1m 4f to 1m 5f on ground from soft to good. Also had 5 seconds in stake races with 2 of these in Group 1 races. Career Earnings of £626k. 4th Foal - Colt Petrograd - 1 win from 15 starts a Handicap in France over 1m 3f on soft ground. Struggled in 9 stakes races never getting a place and had no career places. 5th Foal - Filly Plante Rare - Unraced in UK/Ireland. No records found of races elsewhere. 6th Foal - Filly Perstrovka - Aga Khan Studs claim this won as in France but Racing Post record shows 2 runs when nearer the back than front in France. 7th Foal - Filly Pinacotheque - Only raced as a 3yo with 1 win from 7 races with that win over 1m 4f on soft ground. Never raced above listed class and acheived 2 seconds and a 3rd over distances from 1m 1f to 1m 3f on ground varying from soft to good. 8th Foal - Filly Palme Royale - Won on debut as a 2yo at Longchamp over a mile on Good to soft ground. Never progressed from there finishing unplaced in 3 stakes races. Placed at Mile to 1m 3f as a 3yo. 9th Foal - Filly Pepiniere - 2 races in France and placed 3rd of 5 on debut and in next race 2nd of 4. Low class races. 10th Foal - Gelding Planetoid - Now with Jim Best hurdling and landed a massive gamble to win at Newton Abbott recently and followed up at Uttoxeter. As a flat performer he has 1 All-weather handicap win over 1m 3f and 1 turf win at Newmarket in a class 4 handicap over 1m 4f on good ground. 11th Foal - Colt Tinghir - Won at Ripon in a Class 5 maiden in May over 1m 1f on good to soft ground. Trained by David Lanigan for the same owner/breeder as Placidia. 2nd on only 2yo race on the AW in December. The 1st 3 Foals of Palmeria produced some top class performances but the standard has dropped considerably over the years and fillys have been poor with the exception Place Rouge.

Re: Sea The Stars - Sons and Daughters on The Road to Greatness Calorie Galway 18.10 - 7f Fillies Maiden Two runs to date. Hampered badly on debut when finishing 4th. Put up an improved performance next time out at The Curragh when 2.5 lengths third. Needs to find 2 lengths from the 2nd that day Ballybacka Queen who is 2nd favourite. The Dermot Weld filly Tarfasha is been heavily supported and looks the likely winner. Calorie will need to improve again to justify some big future entry's. Looks a possible each way bet in 9 runner race but will back 1pt win only as per rules. Looks like drifting on the market and available at 9's on betfair. 1 pt win @ 7\1 PP BOG

Calorie finished 3rd of 8 runners at an SP of 6\1 8 lengths behind the winner. 3 runs now and yet to look like winning and unlikely to go on to greatness. Likely to win a weak fillies maiden at some point and connections will probably aim for some black type to increase breeding value.

Sea The Skies (DOB 10/04/11) Bay Colt Dam - Model Queen (Sire - Kingmambo, Dam - Model Bride) Trainer - Gerard Butler 170,000 Guineas purchase at the yearling sales. Dam Model Queen raced once as a 2yo finishing 3rd at Brighton over a mile on soft ground. Won on 3rd start as a 3yo in a maiden over 7f at Beverley on good to firm ground. Had 3 more races at handicap level never looking like winning. Model Queen has had 8 foals prior to Sea The Skies..... 1st Foal - Filly Sister Sylvia - 3 races with a win in France at 1m 2f as a 3yo. Did not run as a 2yo. 2nd Foal - Gelding Regal Parade - Currently at 66 races with 12 wins, 11 seconds and still going strong. Races at 6f/7f and has success at the highest level. To many achievements to list but a very popular race horse over the years. Best to check Racing Post records if you want to know more on this horse. 3rd Foal - Gelding Mount Helicon - 12 races on the flat with 2 wins in France at 1m 3f/1m 4f for Andre Fabre. Tried at a higher level with a Listed 3rd at 1m 5f as 3yo. Raced twice as a 2yo and was 3rd on debut over 1m. Went hurdling in Ireland winning a Grade 3 novice hurdle at 3m. 4th Foal - Colt Canyon Ranch - 3 races as 3yo finishing best placed 2nd on final run over 1m. 5th Foal - Gelding Hot Prospect - 2 wins from 19 flat starts winning on 2nd run as a 2yo at Sandown over a mile and as a 3yo in class 2 handicap over 1m 2f. Placed at listed and group level. Raced on flat at 1m 2f upwards. Has tried hurdling with no success. 6th Foal - Filly Convention - Won a Class 5 handicap on final start on the all-weather at Wolverhampton over 1m 1f. Raced 7 times never above class 5. 7th Foal - Gelding Entifaadha - Won maiden on debut as a 2yo at Newmarket over 7f and followed up in a Group 3 at York over 7f. That is as good as it gets with 11 further runs with a best placed 2nd at listed level in Meydan in 2012. Been racing at 1m to 1m 2f since 2yo days. 8th Foal - Colt Passing Parade - Unraced 3yo with Lady Cecil and half brother to Sea The Stars both sired by Cape Cross. No current Entrys. All offspring of Model Queen with the Exception of Regal Parade have raced predominantly over 1m plus.
Third run for Sea The Skies today at Newmarket in the 17.40 in a Nursery handicap. Good performance on debut when 3rd and followed up by winning maiden at Sandown. One worth following. 1pt Win @ 11\8 PP BOG

Was at the Curragh myself yesterday, and Afternoon Sunlight looked excellent before the race, was a definite eye-catcher in the parade ring. This maiden was a good one I feel, so her third place was a strong performance on debut and there'll be much more to come, I'm sure.

Re: Sea The Stars - Sons and Daughters on The Road to Greatness Placidia is out today on the All-weather at Lingfield and is available at long odds of 40\1. 2nd run after finishing 17th of 18 on debut when always in the rear and ran very green. Likely to improve on that performance but still probably will not be good enough. No bet today as needs to show some improvement.

Unplaced. 5th Foal - Rig Casual Trick - USA based runner. With 3 wins. Casual Look has not yet produced a decent foal but this could all change with Casual Smile who has a Derby winning sire and an Oaks winning dam. Good debut run at Newmarket over 7f on Good to Firm ground finishing 2nd of 14 by 3/4 length receiving a RPR of 80. The highest debut rating for a Sea The Stars runner so far this season. This filly has the potential and breeding to be very good! Available at 50\1 for the 2014 Oaks with both Bet365 and Stan James. 1pt Win for 2014 Oaks with Stan James.

Just watched the race now, and have to say this was a really impressive debut. The way My Titania changed gear coming around the home turn looked excellent. The winner had simply the run of the race and the benefit of more experience, but My Titania should come on allot for this and will have learned plenty. Could be a really nice prospect I feel, and has a Group 1 entry for the Moyglare Stud Stakes!
