Re: smith17's Thread 14.30 Ascot: Coach House, 11/4 William Hill, win Coach House won a listed race impressively lto at the Curragh. The form of that race has worked out well and he sets the standard today. Today's ground and distance will suit. Trainer Aidan O'Brien has had three winners and three places so far at this years Royal Ascot. Joseph O'Brien is in the saddle. 15.05 Ascot: Winsili, 11/2 BetVictor, win Winsili won a listed race impressively lto in her first start of the season. Second place won a listed race nto and third, who re-opposes today, ran well in the Epsom Oaks nto. She should come on a bit for that run and she should confirm form of that race. This is just her fourth run and she should have a bit of improvement to come. She steps up in trip which will suit as will the ground. Trainer John Gosden is still searching for his first winner of this years Royal Ascot but he has a great chance today. William Buick was on board lto and keeps the ride today. 15.45 Ascot: Times Up, 12/1 Bet365, win Times Up finished sixth in a group 3 lto in his first run of the season. That should have got rid of any cobwebs and put him in top condition for today. He finished last season winning two group 2s, both over marathon trips. He tries 2m4f for the first time but he should have no problem seeing it out. He is versatile when it comes to ground. Ed Dunlop is in decent form and Frankie is a big plus in the saddle. 16.25 Ascot: Maputo, 11/1 Bet365, win & Homage, 25/1 Paddy Power, e/w (1/4, 123456) Maputo has won his last three races. He was very impressive lto, winning easily by 2L. He has been put up nine pounds for that run but he should still have a bit more to come as this is just his fifth run. His last two runs were over 1m2f but he drops back to a mile today. He is usually a front runner so the proven stamina is a plus as he is likely to have competition for the lead. The ground will suit. Joe Fanning is in the saddle. Homage was beaten ½L by Ashaadd lto. He has been put up three pounds for that run but his jockey claims it back today. Before that he won at Haydock and Kempton. He tries a mile for the first time today and it should suit as will the ground. Trainer Jeremy Noseda is in great form and talented young jockey Darren Egan takes off a valuable three pounds. 17.00 Ascot: Chopin, 6/1 BetVictor, win Chopin finished seventh in the Epsom Derby lto. I don't think he really enjoyed that track and he got into a bit of traffic problems close home but it was still a decent run, finishing 3¾L behind Ruler Of The World. He won two races very impressively in Germany before going to Epsom. The first, back in November last year, he won by 9L with his jockey sitting still for the entire race. He started this season by winning a group 3 by 8L. Second that day finished a close second in a group 2 nto and third won nto. He has to carry a penalty for the group 3 win but he will still be competitive and he will go close today. Jamie Spencer is in the saddle. 17.35 Ascot: Eshtiaal, 8/1 Betfred, win Eshtiaal won impressively lto over just short of today's distance on soft ground. He tracked the leaders and went to the front 2f out. He ran on strongly and won by 4½. Second that day won nto. There should be a bit more improvement to come. Today's ground will suit. Trainer Brian Meehan is in good form. Paul Hanagan is a big plus in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread Thursday was terrible, Homage was a non runner. A mix of exhaustion and a poor week led to a complete lack of enthusiasm to look at Friday's cards. Bets: 68 Profitable: 10 S/R: 15% Staked: 70pts Returned: 56.3pts P/L: -13.7pts 3.05 Ascot: Dandino, 11/1 Bet365, win Dandino finished second lto, beaten just a head by the re-opposing Universal. He should come on a lot for that run and reverse that form. This is a competitive race but Dandino has a very good chance with Frankie on board. 3.45 Ascot: Lethal Force, 12/1 Bet365, win Lethal Force ran a cracker lto when he finished second, just a head behind the re-opposing Society Rock. He should come on a bit for that run and, with a bit of luck in running, he could reverse that form. He has run well in all three starts at Ascot. The ground and trip will suit.

Re: smith17's Thread Dandino was a bit unlucky as he was hampered quite a bit by a loose horse while Lethal Force won well. I'll update the figures this evening. 16.40 Windsor: Picabo, 9/1 BetVictor, win Picabo ran well lto in a strong handicap at Doncaster. He finished third, 2L behind the winner off top weight. He runs from the same mark today but as he is upped in class he races from a much lighter weight which will help as this race doesn't look a lot stronger than that race. He is usually there or thereabouts and I expect him to be involved at the finish again today. He has won over c&d before and the ground will suit. Trainer Henry Candy is in good form and Liam Keniry is in the saddle. 15.30 Newmarket: Red Jazz, 9/1 William Hill, win Red Jazz has run well in both of his races this season, both at Haydock. He finished third lto in a group 3, 2L behind the winner. He has some solid form in class 1 events and now he has a couple of runs under his belt he should be ready to return to the winners enclousure. Today's trip and ground will suit. Trainer Charlie Hills is in great form, with 6 winners and 5 places from 21 runners in the last week. Talented young jockey James McDonald is in the saddle. 16.05 Newmarket: Forgotten Hero, 8/1 Boylesports, win I'm siding with Hills and McDonald again in this race. Forgotten Hero ran a cracker lto in his first attempt at this trip at Chester. He was beaten just ¾L by Area Fifty One. Third place that day won by 7L nto. He should have more top come at this trip and, as he is lightly raced, could improve some more. Today's ground will suit. 16.45 Curragh: Bajan Tryst, 22/1 BetVictor, e/w (1/4, 12345) Bajan Tryst ran a cracker lto in the Scottish Sprint Cup. He finished fifth, 2L behind the winner. The re-opposing Racy finished just under 2L in front that day but is four pounds higher today while BT drops one. He steps back up in trip to 6f which I think is his best trip. The ground will suit. He will need some luck in running but I expext him to run a big race today. Trainer Kevin Ryan sends just one horse over to Ireland today. The top class Pat Smullen is in the saddle. 18.30 Curragh: Libertarian, 4/1 Boylesports, win Libertarian ran well lto in the Derby at Epsom. I don't think that track really suited him and he broke slowly but he still managed to finish second, 1½L behind the re-opposing Ruler Of The World. If he breaks well and settles early, I expect him to reverse that form and I don't fear any of the others. Today's ground will suit. Trainer Elaine Burke is in decent form. William Buick travels to Ireland for just two rides but this is the one he is really here for. 15.15 Newcastle: Handsome Man, 11/1 BetVictor, win Handsome Man tries this trip for the first time today. He won impressively over 1m6f last season when he appeared to be still full of running at the end and the trip of 2 miles should be well within his capabilities. He has been narrowly beaten in both of his runs this season but they were both over 1m4f and I think he will improve for the step up in trip. The ground will suit. Saeed Bin Suroor has a good record at Newcastle and Robert Winston is in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread 14.20 Sandown: Lupo D'oro, 14/1 Bet365, e/w Lupo D'oro won over c&d lto. He was held up and didn't have the clearest of passages about 2f out. When he got into the clear he quickened up well to win a bit easily by ¾L. He has been put up five pounds for that win but he has improved in each run this season and he could do so again today. He has run over c&d three other times, placing twice and running well on his other appearance here. Today's ground will suit. Trainer John Best has a good record at Sandown and Graham Lee, who rode a double from two rides yesterday, is in the saddle. 14.50 Sandown: Fine 'n Dandy, 7/2 Boylesports, win Fine 'n Dandy couldn't have been more impressive lto when he won his maiden at Chester. He made all and showed a great turn of foot 1f out to put the race to bed, winning easily by 8L. There have been a couple of subsequent winners from that race but it was the manner of the victory that was most impressive. This is a big step up in class but I think he will take it in his stride and he will be involved at the end. Trainer Tom Dascombe is in good form and Richard Kingscote is in the saddle. 16.00 Sandown: Afsare, 11/2 BetVictor, win Afsare finished eight in the group 1 Prince Of Wales Stakes lto at Royal Ascot. That was his first run of the season and he will come on a lot for that run. He has won at this level twice in the past and has some good form at a higher level. If he is in the mood, he will go very close today. The ground and trip will suit. Trainer Luca Cumani is in good form. The talented James Doyle is in the saddle. 16.35 Sandown: Al Saham, 7/2 BetVictor, win Al Saham won well lto. He didn't have the clearest of runs but still won a bit cosily by 1L. He has been put up five pounds for that win but I think he could still have a bit in hand over the handicapper and I expect him to go close today. He drops back to 1m2f today but it should suit as he showed a good turn of foot lto. The ground is ideal. Trainer Saeed bin Suroor is in decent form and Silvestre De Sousa is in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread Bets: 80 Profitable: 11 S/R: 14% Staked: 82 Returned: 69.3 P/L: -12.7pts 2.55 Haydock: Midnight Soprano, 15/2 Bet365, win Midnight Soprano won a group 3 lto. She has some good form in Ireland and deserves her shot at this level. Jockey is 3 from 4 on the horse. If she takes to the ground, I think she will go close. 3.30 Haydock: Roman Flight, 18/1 Paddy Power, e/w Roman Flight was well beaten in the Ascot Stakes lto. He drops back to 12f which will suit. This is just his eight run on the flat and fourth over today's distance so he could be open to a bit of improvement and he will be dangerous from bottom weight. 4.40 Haydock: Tartiflette, 6/1 Boylesports, win Tartiflette won over c&d in her first start of the season. She is just four pounds higher today. She ran well in her other two starts this year. This should be run to suit and, with Franny Norton back in the saddle, she has every chance today. 2.05 Sandown: Spirit Quartz, 6/1 Boylesports, win Spirit Quartz was well beaten lto in the Kings Stand at Royal Ascot. He ran alone on the stands rail while the rest of the field were in the centre of the course which did his chances little good. He won a group 2 in France before that and has some very good form at the top level. Robert Cowell has a good record at Sandown and Jamie Spencer is a plus in the saddle. 3.50 Sandown: Al Kazeem, 9/4 Boylesports, win Al Kazeem is unbeaten this season, winning a group 3 and two group 1s. He has been incredibly impressive this year and is the one to beat today. 4.25 Sandown: Model Pupil, 5/1 Bet365, win Model Pupil ran ok lto in the Gold Cup at Ascot. The drop in class will help and, as he is unexposed at these marathon trips, he could be open to further improvement. Trainer is in good form and good jockey on board.

Re: smith17's Thread 1.40 Newmarket: Feel Like Dancing, 10/3 BetVictor, win Feel Like Dancing ran a cracker lto at Royal Ascot. He finished second in the 2m Queens Vase. He drops in trip by 3f which shouldn't be a problem and I expect him to confirm running with Boite and Ray Ward. Today's ground will suit. Trainer John Gosden is in good form and the top class William Buick is in the saddle. The pair won this race last year, with Gosden winning it the year before as well. 2.10 Newmarket: Canyari, 7/1 Betfred, win Canyari won his maiden in impressive fashion lto. He was with the leader most of the way and when he was asked to kick about 1½f out he did so well and went on to win by 5L with a further 5L back to third in a three horse race. Second has since won his next two races and then ran ok in the Norfolk at Royal Ascot while third has won his only race since. Today's ground and distance will suit. He should come on a lot for his first racecourse experience and I expect him to run a big race today. Trainer Richard Fahey has a strong bunch of 2yos this year and he really likes this horse. Jimmy Fortune is a good booking in the saddle. 2.40 Newmarket: Cavalryman, 9/2 Betfred, win Cavalryman has top class form in these types of races. He had a pipe opener at Sandown six weeks ago and he should be in top condition for this. He usually runs over further these days but 12f is definitely in his range and he should go very close today. The ground will suit. Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has a decent record on this course and he is in great form. Silvestre De Sousa is in the saddle. 3.15 Newmarket: One Pekan, 11/1 BetVictor, win One Pekan was narrowly beaten lto in his first start over today's distance. He led until 3f when the winner went past. He looked to be struggling a bit but ran on well to go down by just a neck. He runs from the same mark today. The ground will suit. This is just his fifth run, third on turf, so there should be a bit of improvement to come. Trainer Roger Varian in decent form and Andrea Atzeni is in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread 3.50 Newmarket: Qawaasem, 9/2 William Hill, win Qawaasem ran well on debut over c&d, finishing third. He was slowly away and was held up at the back. He made progress 2f out and kept on well in the final furlong to finish 3L behind the winner. He was very green that day and should come on a lot for that experience. The ground will suit. Trainer Charlie Hills is in good form. Paul Hanagan, who has a good record on this course, chooses this one over £80,000 newcomer Musalaha.

Re: smith17's Thread 13.40 Newmarket: Jubilante, 6/1 William Hill, win Jubilante ran well lto to finish third over 6f on this course. She was just a head behind the re-opposing Nardin but is four pounds better off today and should reverse that form. She steps up in trip by a furlong which should suit as she finishes her races well. She is a half sister to Justonefortheroad who has done all of his winning over 7/8f. Today's ground will suit. Trainer Hughie Morrison and Ryan Moore have teamed up for 7 winners from 27 runners for a lsp of £16.30. 14.40 Newmarket: Giofra, 9/2 Bet365, win Giofra has top class form all over the world. Two runs ago she finished third in the group 1 Dubai Duty Free. Before that she was beaten just 1L in the group 1 Hong Kong Cup. She won this race last year when she had Elusive Kate ½L behind and she is nine pounds better off at the weights today. She drops back to a mile which I think will suit as she has won two of her three runs over today's trip. Trainer Alain deRoyer-Duper sends just one horse over from France today. He is in good form with 4 winners from 12 runners this month. This is top jockey Christophe Soumillon's only ride of the day. 15.15 Newmarket: Equtiy Risk, 9/1 Betfred, win Equity Risk has won three of his four starts. His first two runs were over 6f on the a/w at Wolverhampton. He won well on debut and was narrowly beaten by ½L in his second start. He then went to Leicester and ran over 6f. He won nicely as he tracked the leaders and got to the lead inside the final furlong and finished well to win by 1½L. He was put up seven pounds for that win but that didn't stop him from winning again when upped in trip to 7f at Haydock. He again tracked the leader and got to the lead inside the final furlong. He ran on well to win by a head from Beach Club, who won nto when upped in class from a three pound higher mark. This is just his fifth run so he should have a bit more improvement to come. He drops back to 6f which shouldn't be a problem and the ground will suit. Trainer Kevin Ryan is in decent form and Silvestre De Sousa is a big plus in the saddle. 14.25 York: Body And Soul, 13/2 Bet365, win Posted this before her last run;

15.50 York: Body And Soul, 9/1 Coral, win Body And Soul ran well lto in her first run of the season. She finished fifth of eleven, finishing 2L behind Spinatrix and she should come on a lot for that run. She was very progressive last season, culminating in an impressive victory in a listed race. She has run over c&d once before, finishing third in a competitive stakes race. Today's ground and trip will suit. Jockey Duran Fentiman has won on this horse three times from four rides.
She won that day in what was a very competitive handicap over c&d. This is a big step up in class but she deserves her crack at this level and I think she will go close today. She won a listed race last year by over 2L. Today's ground will suit. Jockey Duran Fentiman keeps the ride and is now four wins from five rides on this horse. 16.05 York: Arctic Feeling, 12/1 Bet365, e/w Arctic Feeling finished fourth lto at Ayr over today's distance. He won over 6f at Epsom before that and is five pounds higher today. He has run well off higher marks in the past so today's mark of 86 should be well within his abilities. The ground will suit. Trainer Richard Fahey has a decent record at York. Seven pound claimer Laura Barry, who has won on this horse before, is in the saddle and she offers good value for her claim. 15.05 Ascot: Taglietelle, 8/1 Boylesports, win Taglietelle finished sixth of eight lto at Goodwood. I don't think he liked that track and Ascot should be a lot more suitable for him. Before that he won over today's distance at Newmarket on similar ground to what he gets today. He runs from just a two pound higher mark, same mark if you include claims. Rookie jockey Oisin Murphy has had a promising start to his riding career, with 7 winners from 45 rides. He takes off a valuable seven pounds. He has ridden 2 winners from 5 rides for trainer Andrew Balding, including one yesterday.

Re: smith17's Thread No returns from six bets yesterday :wall Bets: 97 Profitable: 14 S/R: 14% Staked: 99 Returned: 82.38 P/L: -16.62pts 2.05 Newmarket: Muharrib, 7/1 BetVictor, win Muharrib ran ok lto in his seasonal reappearance. He finished third of eight but he should come on a lot for that run and I expect him to go a lot closer today. He finished last season winning a decent class 4 handicap. He finished 2L ahead of Indignant, who won off a mark of 90 here yesterday. Ground and trip will suit. Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has a good record at this track and is in good form. Mickael Barzalona is in the saddle. 2.40 Newmarket: Outstrip, 10/3 BetVictor, win Outstrip won on debut lto over c&d. He finished 1½L ahead of stablemate True Story who won impressively nto. He showed a bit of greeness that day and should come on a bit for the experience. Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor has his 2yos in cracking form and Mikael Barzalona, who was on board lto, is in the saddle. 3.15 Newmarket: Redvers, 14/1 Bet365, e/w Redvers has been in cracking form recently. He finished seventh in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot lto despite not having the clearest of runs and he would have been closer with a bit more luck. He runs from the same mark today and with better luck he could go very close today. Trainer Ed Vaughn is in decent form and has just two runners today, both in this race. Neil Callan is a good booking in the saddle. 3.50 Newmarket: Gale Force Ten, 6/1 Betfred, win Gale Force Ten won the Jersey Stakes lto. He drops in trip for this but it shouldn't be a problem. The ground is ideal and with a six pound age allowance he should be involved in the finish. Trainer Aidan O'Brien has won this race three times in the past, two of them won the Jersey Stakes lto before winning this, while the other also won at RA prior to taking this. Ryan Moore is a big plus in the saddle. 5.35 Newmarket: Cat O'Mountain, 10/1 Stan James, win Cat O'Mountain ran quite well lto in his first start of the season. He finished fourth of six in what turned out to be a hot race. The winner won what looked like a very competitive handicap here two days by 6L. Third won nto while fifth, who was 2¼L behind the selection, won a group 3 race here two days ago. Even sixth place who was tailed off was beaten just a neck nto. He should come on a lot for that run and with his stable in good form a big run is expected. Mickael Barzalona, who has won on this horse from his only ride on him, is in the saddle. 3.30 York: Kingsgate Choice, 7/2 Boylesports, win Kingsgate Choice won the competitive Scottish Sprint Cup lto. Before that he won another competitive handicap over c&d. He deserves his chance at this level and I expect him to take the step up in class in his stride. There is plenty of early pace in the race and it could be set up perfectly for KC. Ed De Giles is in decent form and has a perfect 2 from 2 record at York. In form jockey Pat Cosgrove is in the saddle. 1.55 Ascot: Fair Value, 22/1 Coral, e/w Fair Value ran well lto at Sandown. He finished fourth, beaten just 1L. He runs from the same mark today and will be dangerous off bottom weight. Trainer Simon Dow is in good form and Hayley Turner is in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread Last Saturday was again a disappointment. Outstrip was a NR. Bets: 103 Profitable: 14 S/R: 14% Staked: 105 Returned: 82.38 P/L: -22.62pts The Open, all outright winner, all with Paddy Power, who are paying 7 places and all 0.5pt e/w. Branden Grace, 60/1 Grace finished second in the Scottish Open last week beaten in a play off by Phil Mickelson. He does well on links course and, with last weeks performance, he is clearly in good form. Ian Poulter, 60/1 He has been playing some good golf this season. He usually plays well in this tournament and he has the game to win a major, hopefully this weekend. Padraig Harrington, 66/1 Padraig Harrington finished one shot of the lead when The Open was last played on this course. He is a two time winner of this tournament. He has shown glimpses of his class this season and if he can start well and get some confidence, I'm sure he will be involved late on Sunday evening. Rickie Fowler, 50/1 Fowler has been in good form recently. In his three appearances in this tournament, he has finished 14, 5, 31 in the last three years so links golf appears to suit him. I'm sure he will win a major sooner rather than later and hopefully he will make the step up this weekend.

Re: smith17's Thread 2.40 Newbury: Black Spirit, 13/2 Paddy Power, win Black Spirit is a group 3 winner, which he won on this course. He finished eight of eleven lto over today's distance. He should come on a lot for that run and, as this isn't the strongest race for this class, I expect him to go close. The ground will suit. Trainer Clive Cox is in decent form and the talented Adam Kirby is in the saddle. 3.50 Newbury: Yorkshire Relish, 25/1 Paddy Power, e/w & Haikbidiac, 20/1 Paddy Power, e/w (1/4, 1234) Yorkshire Relish won well lto in a class 3 seller at York. He didn't beat much but the manner of victory was very impressive. That was just his second run and he should improve again as he improved a lot after his first run. Today's ground will suit and he got a decent draw. Trainer Kevin Ryan has come close to winning this race in the past, with one of his horses finishing in the first five in five of the last six renewals, all at double figure prices. He is in good form. Silvestre De Sousa is a big plus in the saddle and he has a good record at Newbury. Posted this before Haikbidiac's last run;

17.35 Ascot: Haikbidiac, 20/1 boylesports, e/w (1/4, 1234) Haikbidiac ran very well lto in the listed Woodcote Stakes at Epsom. He didn't seem totally comfortable coming down the hill so today's flatter track will be a lot more suitable. He didn't really see out the 6f either so the drop back to the minimum trip will suit. Today's ground is ideal. Trainer William Haggas is in good form and his 2yos are having a cracking season. Kieren Fallon is a very good jockey booking.
He ran quite well that day finishing 11th but beaten just under 4L. I think today's faster ground will be more suitable. Trainer William Haggas is in good form and Liam Jones, who was on board for this horse's debut win, is back in the saddle. 3.40 Newmarket: Charlotte Rosina, 15/2 BetVictor, win Charlotte Rosina was beaten less then ½L lto over today's distance. She runs from the same mark today. She has run over c&d twice, winning once and placing in the other run. Today's ground will suit. Trainer Roger Teal has a good record on this course, with 3 winners from 13 runners for a lsp of £23. Seb Sanders is in great form this month and he has won twice on this horse, including the c&d success. Trainer and jockey have a good record together. 6.15 Curragh: Chicquita, 6/1 Bet365, win Chicquita finished second in a group 1 lto, 4L behind the impressive Treve. That was just her third run so there should be a bit more improvement to come. This is her first time encountering good to firm ground but her breeding suggests it will suit. Trainer Alain De Royer-Duper is in good form. The booking of Johnny Murtagh is a huge plus.

Re: smith17's Thread 14.40 Ascot: Yarroom, 16/1 BetVictor, e/w Yarroom ran well lto in his seasonal reappearance at Sandown, finishing third, 2L behind the winner. He has had a bit of a break since then and I would expect the in form Roger Varian to have him in perfect condition for this. He runs from the same mark today. The ground should be ideal as will the distance. Andrea Atzeni is in the saddle. 15.15 Ascot: Redvers, 12/1 Paddy Power, e/w (1/4, 12345) Redvers finished fifth lto in the Bunbury Cup at Newmarket. He didn't have the clearest of runs that day but once he was in the clear he finished well. The same could be said of his run before that when he finished seventh in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. He runs from the same mark as those two races today and he should be capable of winning off it. He has a good record at Ascot running here three times all over today's distance. He won the Longines handicap at this meeting last year, finished fifth in a 26 runner apprentice handicap at the end of last season and finished fourth in the Victoria Cup at the start of this season. Today's ground will suit. The booking of Richard Hughes to ride is eyecatching and his style should be perfect for this horse. 16.25 Ascot: Capall Liath, 20/1 Bet365, e/w Capall Liath finished last of 15 lto. He drops in class today and will find today's opposition a lot more to his liking. He won before that at Ayr. Today's gropund and distance will suit. Trainer Kevin Ryan is in decent form. Jockey Hayley Moore has only had three rides in this race in the past but has won it twice, including on the Kevin Ryan trained Captain Ramius two years ago. 15.30 York: Baccarat, 7/1 Boylesports, win Baccarat ran very well lto in the Buckingham Palace Stakes at Royal Ascot. He ran on the opposite side to the winner and finished third in his group after tiring a bit near the finish. He drops back in trip by a furlong which will suit. He dead heated his only attempt at this trip in his first start of the season. This is just his seventh run so he could improve a bit more. The ground will suit. Trainer Richard Fahey is in decent form and Paul Hanagan is in the saddle. 15.55 Newmarket: Gold Hunter, 7/2 BetVictor, win Gold Hunter won very impressively lto. He tracked the leaders until over a furlong out when he went to the lead and finished strongly to win by 6L. Just three horses have run since and two of them have won. He ran twice last season in what turned out to be two hot maidens, especially the second one. He finished third in both of those. This is just his fourth run so he should still have a lot of improvement to come. Trainer Saeed Bin Suroor is in cracking form and Silvestre De Sousa is a big plus in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread 14.05 Ascot: Queen Catrine, 5/1 Bet365, win Queen Catrine ran well in a group 2 at Newmarket lto, finishing 3rd behind Lucky Kristale and Rizeena. She won her maiden before that by 5L over today's distance. The ground will suit. Trainer Charlie Hills is in good form. The top class Olivier Peslier is a great booking.

Re: smith17's Thread 14.40 Deauville: Duntle, 5/1 Betfred, win Duntle showed a great attitude lto to win the Duke of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot. Third that day won a group 2 nto. Today's ground will be ideal and this is his optimum trip. This is in-form trainer David Wachman's only runner of the day. The talented Wayne Lordon travels to France for this one ride. 15.05 Ascot: Genzy, 20/1 Bet365, e/w Genzy has some very good form in class 1 races. He finished last of fifteen lto in a listed handicap over 10f on good to firm ground. The extra 2f and the good ground will be a lot more to his liking and, having been dropped five pounds, he should give a good account of himself. Trainer Ian Williams is in good form and has a decent record at Ascot. Jim Crowley is in the saddle. 16.15 Ascot: Cashpoint, 7/1 Stan James, win Cashpoint finished second lto over today's distance at Sandown off today's mark. He ran quite well but the winner was impressive. He finished a neck behind a nto winner. The ground will suit. Ian Williams is in good form and James Doyle is a positive booking to ride. 17.20 Ascot: Ahtoug, 12/1 BetVictor, win 16.05 Pontefract: Aesop's Fables, 7/2 William Hill, win Reasoning for the last two to follow.

17.20 Ascot: Ahtoug' date= 12/1 BetVictor, win 16.05 Pontefract: Aesop's Fables, 7/2 William Hill, win
Ahtoug ran very well lto, finishing fifth in a strong handicap over c&d. It was his first run since January and he should come on a bit for that run. He runs from the same mark today and I expect a big run. Mikael Barzalona is in the saddle. Aesop's Fables is a group 1 winner for his former trainer Andre Fabre. He hasn't quite shown the same form for Saeed Bin Suroor but now he has dropped to this level he has a great chance of getting his first win for his new trainer.

Re: smith17's Thread Six bets, six losers on Saturday. Genzy was unlucky today as a gap just wouldn't appear and when it finally did he finished well to get beat by just a head. The rest were useless. Bets: 119 Profitable: 17 S/R: 14% Staked: 121 Returned: 95.38 P/L: -25.62pts

Re: smith17's Thread 5.10 Galway: Green Dragon, 6/1 Paddy Power, win Green Dragon finished 3¼L behind the re-opposing King Of The Picts lto. He gets a seven pound swing in the weights today and I think he will reverse that form. He ran on the flat before that to keep him ticking over when he finished tenth of seventeen in a good handicap at the Curragh. He won his maiden in very impressive fashion before that. He jumped well as he tracked the leaders most of the way round. He was asked for an effort before two out and he responded well. He got to the lead before the last and finished strongly to win by 6½L. Second won well nto. Current favourite Diplomat was very impressive lto but he is a very short price and no fav has won this in the last six runnings. Trainer Alan Martin and jockey Paul Townend are both in decent form and they have a very good record together. 5.40 Galway: Anshan Dreams, 16/1 Paddy Power, e/w Anshan Dreams won very impressively over c&d in his last start over hurdles back in September last year. He made all and only had to be shaken u briefly in the home straight as he won well by 2L. The form of that race is quite decent. He had a couple of runs on the flat last month to get him ready for today and he should put in a big performance. He is just five pounds higher than that c&d victory. The ground will be perfect for him. Trainer Adrian Maguire has a good record at Galway. Declan Quelly, who was on board for his last win, is in decent form and has a good record at Galway. 19.45 Galway: Great Explorer, 7/2 Bet365, win Great Explorer is seeking his hat trick today. His last two races were over 10f and he will improve for the step up in trip. Aidan O'Brien is in good form and his son Joiseph is in the saddle. 6.10 Galway: Royal Focus 6.45 Galway: Edeymi 7.15 Galway: Doc Holliday 8.15 Galway: Top Of The Town Lucky 15, 0.05pt e/w @ SP (1.5pts) Royal Focus is making his debut today. He is an Intense Focus colt out of a Royal Academy mare. This is IF's first crop and of 27 horses that have run so far, 6 have won. Jim Bolger has his stable in cracking form and I would expect him to have RF ready for his debut. Kevin Manning is in the saddle. Edeymi has only had four runs on the flat. Three of those were in France, beaten less than ½L each time. He won the other one at Dundalk. He has some very good form over hurdles and he should be more than capable today off his current mark. Doc Holliday finished second lto in his handicap debut, 1L behind Three Bells. That was his first run of the season and he should come on a lot for that run. This is just his fifth race so there should be a bit of improvement still to come. The trip is ideal and the ground should suit. Top Of The Town is making his debut today. He is full brother of Total Rebellion and is closely related to Man Of Steel who has won three of his four NHF races. Trainer is in good form.

Re: smith17's Thread Singles returned 0. I didn't place my lucky 15 until yesterday morning so I knew Heart Focus was a NR so I replaced him with Wither Hills in the race before. He finished fifth one spot outside the places. Edeymi was my only winner at odds of 16/1 so I get double odds on that, 1.5pts staked, 1.1pts returned. Bets: 123 Profitable: 17 S/R: 14% Staked: 125.5 Returned: 96.48 P/L: -29.02pts 5.40 Galway: Rathlin, 2/1 Paddy Power, 2pts win Rathlin is chasing a hat trick today. He won very impressively lto. He made most and was never off the bridle as he won very easily by 19L. He had the likes of Jetson and Treacle behind that day. He was impreesive in his race before that as well. He was giving weight to the likes of Dedigout and Noble Prince that day and still won nicely by 9L. His jumping was impeccable in those two races and if he puts in a similar round today he will win. He should get an easy lead. Woolcombe Folly is the only one I'm slightly worried about but I think he might want faster ground where as Rathlin will love the bit of cut. Champion jockey Davy Russell takes over from Mark Enright in the saddle which is a big plus. 6.45 Galway: Global Village, 11/1 Paddy Power, win Global Village finished fourth in the Spring Cup at Newbury lto. He finished second in the Lincoln before that and is clearly in good heart this season. He runs from a one pound higher mark then the SC run and he sill be competitive today. He has a decent draw in stall 13 so he should get a good position in mid division to set himself up for his usual late run. The ground will be perfect for him. Trainer Brian Ellison is in great form. He has sent just 3 runners over to Ireland in the last five years, returning home with 1 winner. Chris Hayes is a very good jockey booking. 8.15 Galway: Busted Tycoon, 4/1 Paddy Power, win Busted Tycoon has won his last three races over hurdles. His last run on the flat he finished 5L behind the now rated 106 El Salvador. He could be well in off a mark of 71 today and as he is clearly in good form he should go close today. Trainer Alan Martin had a couple of winners here yesterday. Fran Berry, who was on board Dark Crusader for Martin yesterday, is in the saddle. Goodwood to follow later.

Re: smith17's Thread 3.05 Goodwood: Casper Netscher, 11/1 Bet365, win Casper Netscher is making his seasonal debut today. He won fto the last two seasons so that shouldn't be a problem. He has won three times at this level in the past, including the Gimcrack and the German 2000 Guineas. His last three races have been at the top level. He got within 2L of the truly top class Excelebration two runs ago and was just ½L behind Elusive Kate and Moonlight Cloud. If he runs up to that standard today, he will go very close. The ground will suit. He is having his first run for the very much in-form David Simcock today. Shane Kelly, who has been on board for CN's last six runs, including two wins, retains the ride. 3.40 Goodwood: Silver Lime, 7/1 Paddy Power, win Silver Lime won well lto at Ascot in his first attempt at today's distance. He tracked the leaders and stylishly went to the lead a furlong out. He finished well under a hands and heels ride with one crack of the whip to win by ¾L, with Caravan Rolls On in second. He could improve a bit for his second run at this trip. He has a good record at Goodwood, with one win and a narrow second from his two runs on this track. Today's ground will suit. Trainer Roger Charlton is in excellent form and he has a great record at Goodwood. Ryan Moore is a big plus in the saddle. 5.25 Goodwood: Arctic Feeling, 16/1 BetVictor, e/w Posted this lto;

He ran well that day, finishing a 1L sixth. I don't want to be critical of his jockey because I think she's actually quite decent but I don't think she was that strong in the finish that day. Paul Hanagan takes over in the saddle which is a big plus. He should be competitive off his current mark and he drops in class today which will help. He finished sixth in this race last year and, with conditions to suit, he should go close again today. 7.45 Galway: Eighteen Summers 1.55 Goodwood: Fennel Bay 4.15 Goodwood: Upholland 4.50 Goodwodd: Juvenal Lucky 15, 0.05pt e/w (1.5pt staked) Eighteen Summers is still a maiden after 18 runs. He has hit the crossbar a few times and he should be winning soon. His yard is in cracking form and Kevin Manning is in the saddle. Fennell Bay won last month off a three pound lower mark. He placed in the Old Newton Cup off a one pound higher mark earlier this month. Trainer's in great form and Joe Fanning is in the saddle. Upholland is making his debut today. He is very well bred and Richard Fahey really likes him. Fahey's 2yos are going very well this season. Lee Topliss has a 25% SR on 2yos this year. Juvenal is having his first start of the season today. He was progressive last season, winning two of his last three runs and finishing a narrow second two runs ago. Yard is in good form and Ryan Moore is in the saddle.

Re: smith17's Thread 5.30 Galway: Muirhead, 18/1 Bet365, e/w & Jacksonslady, 14/1 Bet365, e/w (1/4, 12345) Muirhead finished fourth in the Gold Cup Chase at Sandown back in April, his second last run. It was a cracking effort considering it was just his second attempt at the trip of 29f, which stretches his stamina to the limit. He runs from a three pound lower mark today. He had a run over hurdles earlier this month to prepare him for today. He finished sixth in this race last year from an eight pound higher mark. He goes on all types of ground so that won't be a problem. This is around his best distance and I expect a big run from him. Trainer Noel Meade is in good form and has a decent record at Galway. Davy Condon is in the saddle. Jacksonslady finished ninth in the Irish Grand National in his last run over fences. He won his last race over fences before that over 17f. He has never won past 18f before but he has placed in all three runs at 20f and his run in the National suggests he today's 22f trip won't be a problem. He has run in two flat races since the National to keep him ticking over in preparation for this. The ground will be ideal. Barry Geraghty has ridden this horse eight times, winning three times and placing three times. 1.55 Goodwood: Seaside Sizzler, 14/1 Bet365, e/w Seaside Sizzler was third in the Queen Alexander Stakes lto, finishing less then 2L behind the 102 rated Chiberta King and 1½L behind the 109 rated Shahwardi. It was a great run considering he is rated 86 and they were running off level weights. He finished sixth in this race last year from a two pound higher mark but he is in better form this year. He finished second the year before beaten just ¾L off a three pound lower mark. The bit of cut in the ground shouldn't inconvenience him too much. Trainer Ralph Beckett is in decent form. Jim Crowley is in the saddle. 2.30 Goodwood: Elkaayed, 9/2 BetVictor, win Elkaayed steps up in trip to a mile and a half for the first time today. He has improved each time he ran over further and I expect him to improve for the extra 2f today. He has finished strongly in two of his three races over 10f which suggests 12f will suit. He was beaten 2L in fifth lto in the group 3 Tercentenary Stakes at Ascot. He should come on a bit for his first experience of group company. He should get an easy lead today and I think he will be hard to pass. His breeding suggest a bit of cut in the ground will suit. Paul Hanagan is in the saddle. 4.50 Goodwood: Saucy Minx, 10/1 Boylesports, win Saucy Minx has won twice at this unique track from two runs here. She was beaten just a head lto as the outsider of three over a mile. She finished quite well that day so the extra furlong today should suit. She has been put up a pound after that race but as this is just her seventh run there could be a bit of improvement still to come. Trainer Amanda Perrett is in decent form and she has a solid record at Goodwood. Pat Dobbs, who is in good form and rode a winner here yesterday, has a very good record at Goodwood. 3.00 Galway: Bridgequarter Girl, e/w 3.35 Galway: King High, e/w 4.10 Galway: Your Busy, e/w 5.25 Goodwood: Brave Echo Lucky 15, 0.05pt e/w Bridgequarter Girl has run well in her three hurdles races. She ran out lto but was going well. Trainer has a good record at Galway. King High won well lto over today's trip at Sligo. She is up just seven pounds and should go well today. Same jockey on board but he is able to claim three pounds today. Your Busy won lto. He has been put up 6 pounds but that shouldn't prevent a bifg run today. He won his only race at the track. Trainer is in decent form and has a good record at Galway. Brave Echo won a conditions race at Deauville lto. He was beaten just ½L over c&d distance from this mark two runs ago and gets a three pound swing with the winner. He has a good record at Goodwood and should go well.

Re: smith17's Thread 16.45 Galway: Darwin's Fox, 11/1 BetVictor, win Darwins Fox is having just his second run on the flat. He was beaten just a short head. He is rated 140 over hurdles and 137 over fences. Ground will suit. Stable is in good form and he has a good five pound claimer on board.
