Blazing Bailey Posted June 8, 2013 Share Posted June 8, 2013 Re: 2013 Epsom Derby Having just watched the replay now I don't think it was a satisfactorily run race given the way the pace unfolded. However, I think it would be hard to argue that Libertarian and ROTW were a deserved 1 and 2 considering where they came from. I didn't think the latter would handle the track as well as he did (albeit he still wasnt that comfortable) and he looks a serious horse for the future if he keeps on improving at the rate he is! Well done to the ROTW backers, and BH's comments on the race were spot on. It can ofter pay to keep it simple in a race full of question marks.
