Re: Yorkshire Bank 40 2013 Semi final 1 preview. Heart vs wallet in this match having backed Glamorgan outright :( 4pts S.Ervine's Performance Pts - 36&Over 5/6 Bet365 Everything points towards a Hampshire win in this match but it did in the T20 as well and that went pear shaped. They are too short for me especially with the threat of a bit of rain getting involved. One bet I do like is Sean Ervine to cover a performance total of 36pts. Ervine is a real big game player and with Carberry out Hampshire need someone to stand up and be counted. The Zimbabwean can be that man. He is in good form with the bat and always goes well in the big games. He was the only Hampshire player to bat to his potential in the T20 semi final and he should go well again. Throw in his fielding and bowling potential and 36pts is a line he can reach comfortably. Re: Yorkshire Bank 40 2013 Wallet won. Semi final 2 preview: 4pts Nottinghamshire vs Somerset - Over 7.5 6s Evs Stan James You wouldn’t want to trust either of these two to get over the line in a big match so I’m not going to. Instead I’ll take the sixes here because county games are usually played on the sides of the square so there should be a short boundary somewhere. Somerset attack and attack with the bat but Nottinghamshire don’t shy away with the willow either so expect plenty of runs and more importantly plenty of big hits. Re: Yorkshire Bank 40 2013 Final preview: 4pts J.Allenby's Performance Pts - 46&Over 5/6 Bet365 If Glamorgan are to win this, or even push Nottinghamshire close, then one man is going to have to have a big game. That man is Jim Allenby. He was sensational in the semi final hitting an unbeaten 74 and then taking 2/18 and when Glamorgan played Middlesex on this ground in the group stage he hit a blistering 69 off 50 balls and took 2 more wickets. Allenby is a top one day player and he can cover a 46pt target in this final. Already on Glamorgan at 20/1 in this final so not backing them again. Am taking two others to go with the above. 4pts M.Lumb Over 2.5 Fours 5/4 Ladbrokes This line looks low and the price looks high here. Michael Lumb is a real boundary hitter and we saw that Michael Hogan can be expensive early on in the semi final. There's sure to be some nerves around early on from the bowlers, some of who are playing in the biggest game of their careers. The way Lumb goes after the ball and the way the Lord's outfield is always so immaculate I think he is perfectly capable of hanging around long enough to hit three boundaries, which probably won't take much more than 5 overs. 2pts M.Hogan Top Glamorgan Bowler 9/4 Stan James Michael Hogan has been Glamorgan's best bowler in all forms all summer and he can cap of a superb debut season in style here. He is very hard to score off at the death of an innings and will bowl in both powerplays too. He gets movement off the seam so should enjoy the slope here. He took the most wickets in the semi final and can do the same in this final too. Sent from my HTC Desire HD A9191 using PL Forum
