The Grand Finals of the PTC begin in Galway on Tuesday. Every single match is on the TV table and every single match will be covered in full on Eurosport and the various live streaming consoles which usually carry live snooker. All frames are best of 7 and there's £100,000 for the winner so it should be a competitive week particularly with the World Championship now less than 6 weeks away. Draw can be found here: http://www.worldsnooker.com/staticFiles/fb/ba/0,,13165~178939,00.pdf

Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Tournament preview: 1pt ew S.Bingham to win PTC Finals 22/1 Betfred (1/2 1-2) Stuart Bingham has been in good form throughout the season and he won one of these PTC events in China to book his place in these finals. Recently he has won the Premier League and made it to the final of the Welsh Open so his form stands up well. In terms of top 16 players in his quarter he only has Mark Williams and he’s woefully short of form. There are some dangerous players in the form of Doherty and Perry to be dealt with but really Bingham couldn’t ask for a much better route to the semi finals so at 22/1 he looks the pick of the outright market this week. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Quarter previews: 1pt M.Gould to win 1st Quarter 8/1 Skybet Martin Gould is a former runner up in this tournament and we’ve seen down the years that these shorter formats suits his style for some reason. He has won Power Snooker and the Sky Shootout and has a good record in all PTC events so he has to be in with every chance in this quarter and at 8/1 I think he’s worth a bet. Higgins and Selby are rightfully the favourites but their priorities might lie elsewhere with the World Championship on the horizon so I’ll take a chance on Gould at 8/1. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/ptc-finals-betting-martin-gould-can-go-well-in-the-first-quarter-in-galway 2pts M.Allen to win 3rd Quarter 11/4 Skybet Mark Allen was good to me out in China recently when he won the World Open and that was no surprise because he had been in supreme form before that win. I see no reason why he won’t be all out to win this tournament given that it is in Ireland but by backing him to win the quarter we don’t need to worry if he runs out of steam in the latter stages. Allen is playing well and the 11/4 on him coming through this section looks fair enough to me. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Tuesday morning match previews: 4pts M.Gould to beat T.Ford 4/6 Boylesports These two are very similar players. They both go for their shots and like to get in the balls but both can be found wanting in the safety department. I think Gould is better in that area and although he has a poor record against Tom Ford I think the difference could be Gould’s slightly better safety. Gould knows how to win matches in this event and even at 4/6 I fancy him here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/gould-vs-ford-betting-martin-gould-can-come-through-opening-round-of-ptc-finals 4pts B.Hawkins (-1.5 frames) to beat L.Hang 8/11 Boylesports In days gone by Barry Hawkins would be a player you looked at and thought he might be ripe for an upset in a match like this but those days are gone now. He’s a very solid player who rarely loses to someone below him in the rankings and you have to play well to beat him. Li Hang will be playing in conditions alien to him both on and off the table and that won’t be easy for him so I would expect Hawkins to make short work of this one. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Tuesday afternoon previews: 3pts N.Robertson (-2.5 frames) to beat J.Burnett 11/8 Blue Square Jamie Burnett has some decent results against Neil Robertson but I don’t see the Scot being in the form to trouble the Australian in this match. Robertson is playing some good snooker and but for some excellent clearances at vital times he could easily have won a couple of titles. Robertson is looking stronger and stronger with the World Championship just around the corner and I expect him to win this impressively. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/robertson-vs-burnett-betting-neil-robertson-should-sail-past-burnett-in-opening-round-of-ptc-finals 3pts S.Maguire (-2.5 frames) to beat J.Swail 5/4 Coral Joe Swail will give a spirited performance in this match but he will have his work cut out to beat Stephen Maguire with the form he is in right now. Maguire is scoring heavily and he has an excellent tactical game too. Swail won’t have played in the ultra fast conditions which he’ll encounter here for a while so I would expect Maguire to be an easy winner. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Tuesday evening previews: 4pts M.Allen (-1.5 frames) to beat M.Davis 5/6 Skybet Mark Allen thrashed Mark Davis 6-2 when the two met in the Masters at the start of the year and I think he can win this by a comfortable margin too. Davis is capable on his day but we don’t tend to see that against the top players unless they underperform against him and I just don’t see Allen doing that with the form he is in. I’ll take Allen to win with a bit in hand. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/allen-vs-davis-betting-mark-allen-can-use-his-good-form-to-ease-past-mark-davis-in-galway 3pts J.Lisowski to beat M.Selby 5/2 William Hill I think Lisowski has a live chance in this match. This is more his scene at the minute I think and if he can get off to a good start and have his confidence up then there’s no reason why he can’t win. He certainly has the talent to win this match. Lisowski won their PTC meeting earlier in the season and with matches surely having to catch up with Selby soon it might be worth taking the fresher man here. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Wednesday morning previews: 4pts R.Lawler to beat C.Yupeng 11/10 Boylesports If this match is an open one I would expect Cap to come through but Lawler is a master of winning scrappy matches which maybe the Chinese youngster hasn’t learnt the art of just yet in his career. I’m sure Lawler will look to keep this one tight and almost bore Cao into submission. Cao has only won one match since November so he is short of match practice and confidence and Lawler looks a fair bet to take advantage of that here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/lawler-vs-yupeng-betting-rod-lawler-can-scrap-his-way-past-the-chinese-youngster- 4pts D.Junhui (-1.5 frames) to beat A.Higginson 5/6 Skybet I think Ding will come through this. Like most of the top players at the minute he is playing well and will have put the hours in with the World Championship not far away. Bingham and Higgins have put in stellar performances to stop him in the last two tournaments and I’m not sure Higginson has a performance of that magnitude in him. I expect Ding to come through this and come through with a bit in hand. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Wednesday afternoon previews: 3pts G.Dott (-1.5 frames) to beat X.Guodong Evs Bet365 If Xiao was coming into this tournament in better form then I think he could cause an upset in this match but he isn’t, he’s in poor form and with Dott starting to score strongly I just think he’ll have too much for Xiao in this match. I actually think Dott will win this with a bit in hand. The even money on Dott to win no worse than 4-2 attracts me as even if he doesn’t score well he has the tactical game to tie Xiao up in knots. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dott-vs-xiao-betting-graeme-dott-has-the-all-round-game-to-deal-with-xiao-in-ptc-finals 3pts J.Higgins vs A.Carter - Over 6.5 frames 9/4 Bet365 John Higgins has something of an Indian sign over Ali Carter throughout their past meetings and for that reason only if I had to choose one of these to win it would be him but instead I think we’ll see a tight match here and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if we see a deciding frame. Both men come into the tournament in good nick and with this one possibly able to go either way the 9/4 it goes to a decider is worth a small bet. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Wednesday evening previews: 3pts J.Trump (-2.5 frames) to beat A.Burden 5/4 Coral A couple of months ago you could have made a strong case for Alfie Burden having a real chance in this match but I think Trump’s return to form will probably have silenced those views. Generally Trump struggles, on the few occasions he does struggle, against players who keep it tight but Burden isn’t like that so I would expect the world number one to come through here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/trump-vs-burden-betting-judd-trump-should-have-way-too-much-for-alfie-burden 3pts K.Maflin to beat K.Doherty 5/4 Stan James I’ve a feeling Kurt Maflin could turn over the crowd favourite in this match. He hasn’t been on the TV conditions too much in his short career but when he has he’s shown that he has the temperament to handle the conditions and perform well. Doherty will be under pressure here and he’ll have to score well too because Maflin is a very heavy scorer. At the prices I think Maflin is worth a bet with nothing to lose. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Thursday morning previews: 4pts M.Fu (-1.5 frames) to beat M.Joyce 6/5 Stan James I like Marco Fu in this match. I like his all round game and it was no surprise that he made it all the way to the final of the German Masters. While Mark Joyce has his win over Judd Trump we do need to remember Judd handed that to him on a plate. Usually Joyce needs more than one visit to win a frame and if Fu has his scoring boots on Joyce won’t get those chances. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/fu-vs-joyce-betting-marco-fu-should-come-through-opening-round-against-mark-joyce 4pts R.Milkins to beat A.McGill 4/6 Boylesports Although Anthony McGill thrashed Robert Milkins when they met in the Scottish PTC earlier in the season I expect Milkins to win this one. Milkins is confident at the minute and when he is confident he is a tough player to play against. Anthony McGill doesn’t get to play under the TV conditions too often and when you are not playing well it isn’t easy to get the control straight away so I like Milkins here. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Thursday afternoon previews: 3pts B.Woollaston to beat M.Williams 6/4 Ladbrokes The way Mark Williams is playing I couldn’t really back him at odds on against anyone right now and that is especially the case against someone who seems to enjoy matches of this distance and in this format. Ben Woollaston has beaten most of the top names in the PTC events over the last three seasons and he beat Mark Williams 4-0 earlier this season. He looks good value to beat the Welshman again. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/woollaston-vs-williams-betting-ben-woollaston-looks-good-value-to-continue-williams-miserable-run-of-form 4pts S.Bingham (-1.5 frames) to beat J.Perry Evs Bet365 A couple of years ago this match could have gone either way but now I think Stuart Bingham will win this and run out a fairly comfortable winner too. He’s been in excellent form all season and he is scoring so well which is the game these days. Joe Perry hasn’t really played well all season and if Bingham gets off to a fast start here I think he’ll pull away to an easy win. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Thursday evening previews: 4pts J.Lisowski to beat T.Ford 10/11 William Hill I like Jack Lisowski. I think he’s a very talented player and I’m waiting for him to break through in a really big way. Maybe that breakthrough will happen this week but whether it does or it doesn’t I do think he’ll win this match. If it becomes a potting contest that will suit Lisowski but if it gets a bit scrappy I think that will too. 10/11 is a perfectly good price on Lisowski here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/lisowski-vs-ford-betting-jack-lisowski-can-build-on-his-win-over-selby-by-beating-ford-in-galway 4pts M.Allen (-1.5 frames) to beat J.Swail 8/11 Boylesports Joe Swail came from nowhere to beat Stephen Maguire in round one of this tournament but I don’t see him going any further. Mark Allen is playing some of the best snooker I’ve seen in many a day at the minute. He is full of confidence and seemingly looking infallible around the table. Allen is a heavy scorer and a very good tactician who will be hard for the best in the game to beat let alone a Swail who is back in the big time after a long absence. I think Allen will win with a bit in hand here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/allen-vs-swail-betting-mark-allen-should-have-no-problems-seeing-off-gutsy-joe-swail

Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Friday morning previews: 3pts D.Junhui (-2.5 frames) to beat A.McGill 5/4 Boylesports Ding Junhui will know he had a lucky escape in the last round and I’m sure he won’t want a repeat of that here. These two met in the final of European Tour event 5 earlier in the season and Ding won on that occasion and if he can get off to a better start then there is value in him to win either 4-0 or 4-1 as when he’s on song his scoring is too much for anyone. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/ding-vs-mcgill-betting-ding-s-scoring-power-could-see-him-run-out-an-easy-winner-in-last-16-clash 3pts B.Hawkins to beat N.Robertson 7/4 Ladbrokes At the prices and with the form Hawkins is in I think he’s worth a go in this second round match. Their meetings have been shared 1-1 this season but that shows that Hawkins can beat Robertson and over a short distance I think he has every chance here. Hawkins played better in the first round and while Robertson often improves as a tournament goes along I think Hawkins has enough improvement in him to justify backing him at 7/4. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Friday afternoon previews: 4pts B.Woollaston to beat J.Perry 6/5 Coral These two have only met once which was at the start of this season and Perry won it in a deciding frame which confirms my thoughts that there isn’t a lot between these two, particularly over this shorter format. Ben Woollaston finished his match with Mark Williams well and I think he’ll have taken a lot out of that win and if he can reproduce that form he should have too much for Perry. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/woollaston-vs-perry-betting-ben-woollaston-can-continue-to-thrive-in-the-ptc-format 4pts K.Maflin to beat R.Lawler 4/5 Skybet The two times these two have met they have both gone to a deciding frame which shows there isn’t a huge amount between these two men but I liked the look of Maflin in the first round against Doherty and I feel he can win this with his heavy scoring. Lawler will try and make it a battle but I think Maflin has the temperament to deal with that and he can claim the quarter final spot. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Friday evening previews: 4pts A.Carter (-1.5 frames) to beat M.Fu 6/5 Skybet Ali Carter is becoming a big match player at the minute and it was a big boost for his confidence I’m sure when he beat John Higgins in the first round as Higgins has had the Indian sign over him for a while. Carter beat Fu in the German Masters final and I fancy him to repeat that form. Although this isn’t the biggest of tournaments Carter is desperate for ranking points as he’s on a collision to be the man who has to qualify for the World Championship even though he’s in the top 16. A few more wins can stop that starting with here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/carter-vs-fu-betting-ali-carter-can-repeat-his-german-masters-win-over-fu-in-galway 4pts A.Burden to beat X.Guodong Evs Boylesports I don’t think we’ll see a lot of safety being played in this match. Both men have reputations for getting the balls open and making big breaks and that’s how I expect this one to play out. Burden looked in good scoring form in the first round and if he carries that on in this match then he looks the value in a match which could go either way. Burden has won both their meetings so far and he’s a fair price to complete the hat trick. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Saturday quarter final previews: 3pts M.Allen vs D.Junhui - Over 6.5 frames 2/1 William Hill This has all the makings of a classic quarter final. Both men are in fantastic form at the minute and it isn’t easy to pick a winner. I for one expect this to be close. Four of their last five meetings have gone to a deciding frame and the one that didn’t finished 4-2 so historically matches between these two are quite tight. I don’t envisage this being any different so I’ll take a chance on a deciding frame. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/ding-vs-allen-betting-pick-of-the-quarter-finals-could-easily-need-a-deciding-frame-to-settle-it 4pts K.Maflin to beat B.Woollaston 11/10 Coral Kurt Maflin is a good player and I think he’s good value to win this match at 11/10. He is a very heavy scorer and if Woollaston keeps on missing the odd easy ball when he is in the balls the Norwegian player can punish him to the full. Woollaston is talented there is no doubt about that but he’s got away with some misses this week. I don’t think he’ll get away with them here though. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar 4pts M.Fu (-1.5 frames) to beat T.Ford 6/4 Boylesports Tom Ford has done well this week but with Marco Fu starting to find his scoring boots I think Fu will win this. Fu is a very underrated tactician and when he puts big breaks on top of that he is very hard to stop. Ford doesn’t have the safety game to win a scrappy match here and he hasn’t scored well enough to suggest he’ll outpot Fu so I like Fu here. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar 3pts N.Robertson (-2.5 frames) to beat X.Guodong 5/4 Paddy Power Unless Xiao finds his scoring going into this match I fear the worst for him because Robertson is classy and definitely a class above Xiao on any given occasion. Xiao’s late night win wouldn’t be ideal preparation for this match either and even though this is a quarter final I really do think this has the potential to be quite one sided. Robertson tends to get better as a tournament goes on and I’ll take him to do that here. Re: PTC Finals 12-17 Mar Sunday semi finals preview: 4pts N.Robertson (-1.5 frames) to beat T.Ford 17/20 Boylesports Neil Robertson has won emphatically in all three meetings against Tom Ford and that doesn’t surprise me because Ford’s tactical game is poor and it is for that reason that I expect Robertson to win this match with a bit in hand too. If Ford gets the chances he will take them but whether he can keep things tight enough to keep a potter like Robertson at bay I have massive doubts. I expect the Aussie to win this. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/robertson-vs-ford-betting-neil-robertson-can-complete-another-comfortable-win-over-tom-ford 3pts D.Junhui vs K.Maflin - Over 6.5 frames 5/2 Paddy Power I think this will be a great semi final and I wouldn’t be surprised if this goes all the way. Both men are scoring brilliantly, insanely in Ding’s case. Their only other previous meeting was decided in a deciding frame and with the way both are scoring this week I see no reason why this can’t either. We are going to see some really big breaks here and we might just see all seven frames too.
