Simeon Borisof
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March Real Madrid @ 3.15 against inconsistent Barcelona that lost to Milan :rollin This is game is very important for Real Madrid. They are ouf the championship, almost ouf of CL and almost out of Copa del rey.Barca lost in Mialno due to a very questionable goal and it begins to become evident that they jave an inexperienced manager. He made a terrible mistake when Milan had parked the bus he put into play Sanches who is generally used to outrun the opponet but given the fact Milan were defending very tight i didn't see how it's going to happen because their last no space for this.Mouriungo on the other hand is exactly to opposite. He have played many final so he will know how to conduct the game.He knows that Real ust score in order to qualify but they will not rush it for sure.Ronaldo and Ozil were rested against Deportivo but they took part in the end. This is a must win for Real and my local bookie offers 2.1 for Real Mdrid +0.5 and i think it's worth a shot. Fedar
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March Real Madrid @ 3.15 against inconsistent Barcelona that lost to Milan :rollin Mustafa, these odds reflect the CL games several days after El Classico. Yes, Barca have important match as well, but I think the effect on Real will be much bigger. For Mourinho it is win-or-die situation. If his team gets eliminated by United, the whole season will be utter failure and disaster, and it will be the first major failure in Mourinho's career. While if he wins the CL, it will still be considered a good season. Whereas Barca is winning La Liga and probably will win Copa del Rey. They also won two CLs in the last years, so failing against Milan will be bad, but not a disaster. Moreover, Barcelona almost always plays full-strength regardless of their schedule. While Mourinho is very pragmatic in this respect.

I remember when he was in charge of Inter he used full squad even in Coppa Itali matches, so I doubt he will rotate the squad against Barcelona. HastGill1
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March Mourinho has been rotating more lately in the league, simply because it is now a lost cause, I'm surprised they are not putting more effort into getting into second place though. Mourinho will certainly be putting more effort into the cup matches, look at the line-up on Sat - resting plenty of first choice starters and only putting on Ronaldo, Ozil and Khedira when they went behind. Having said that I agree, he will play 9/11 or 10/11 first choice team against Barca, simply because its El Clasico and the fans and press will hammer him if he doesn't. He does play strong squad even in meaningless games, but not when his team has got the match of the year in front of them in just three days. I am sure that the likes of Carvalho, Modric, Essien, Cajehon will start in this game.
jackierubberleg
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March I think this is definetly a late post game. It would appear to be rather difficult to judge the match without some indication of the team strenght of Real Madrid. Madrid at full strenght I think would be a cracking bet at around 2/1. Barcelona have really hit the skids lately, Messi hardly showing against Milan or Real. The team in general are not functioning and losing their discipline rather easy, none more so than Puyol the captain. They appear rudderless with Vilanova away, however if this team suddenly awakens, everyone is in trouble. I will wait for the team news first. georgebest
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March A rare incursion from a resident of Bilbao. I profited from butdidn't get round to seconding the Madrid Cup bargain, and agree that this weekend's league match is a much harder call, with both teams focussed on next week's CL ties and sure to field unfamiliar line-ups. What I do suggest is a punt against my home team, Athletic Bilbao. Having a pretty disastrous time of it after the highs of last season, interrupted only by a shock defeat of Atletico Madrid a month or so ago. Tomorrow they travel to Pamplona to take on Osasuna. A tough prospect at the best of times, and all the more so just now. Osasuna are unbeaten in 4 games and have won their last 3 at home, whilst Athletic have managed only one point from the last 12, conceding ten goals and scoring only three. All is far from well here in Bilbao: the LLorente saga will drag on until he finally leaves for Juve, Bielsa is being questioned ,not least over the current goalkeeping dilemma/disaster. First choice Iraizoz was dropped after a series of blunders, only for number two Raul to suffer the same fate after his part in last weekend's 1-3 defeat to Real Sociedad. The defence has more holes than all the courses at the R & A put together, and at 2.30 or thereabouts I feel that Osasuna have to worth a bob or two. UnitedForever
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March Getafe v Zaragoza It looks like Getafe will play with their 3rd goalkeeper as Roberto and Franco ( 1st and 2nd ) are injured. Zaragoza will play without three midfielders (Rodriguez, Lafita and Xavi Torres) and two defenders (Mane and Valera). On paper, it looks like an easy win for Getafe but Zaragoza need to win as they are only 2 points away from relegation zone. Even with the missing players I think Zaragoza can score at least one goal. Also, three of the last four games at home for Getafe finished over 3,5 goals. So I will go for goals in this one: over 1,5 goals 1/3PaddyPower over 2,5 goals 11/10 PaddyPower

ThemanwiththeSTATS
Di Maria and Ronaldo will be rested plus others. I think that Barcelona will destroy Madrid tonight I mean this is a Classico and Barcelona should be at full strength. Kaka is talking himself up leading into this game but I doubt Barca will be bothered by the threat of Kaka. Beware a wounded Barcelona is a lesson that teams have learnt in previous seasons , they're ability to respond after a bad performance is phenomenal. Barcelona -1 @ $4.30. 4 points Barcelona -2 @ $8. 2 points

jackierubberleg
Re: La Liga > 1st - 4th March I would have to say that I wouldn't be taking Barcelona to destroy anyone at the moment. That is based purely on the way they are playing. They are really suffering without a full time coach in place. Their credentials are common knowledge. But I do not see them coming out of a slump within four days of a very mediocre performance.

ThemanwiththeSTATS
You can call it misleading if almost every sports/news service in the world says those players are going to be rested I guess. I didn't speak or hear of anybody who had information otherwise to be honest. Anyway that's the way it goes I guess.
