Snooker Shootout 25-27 Jan

Re: Snooker Shootout 25-27 Jan Tournament preview: 2pts ew D.Junhui to win Snooker Shootout 16/1 Paddy Power (1/4 1-4) Ding Junhui is as natural a player as there is in the game right now and it shows the unpredictable nature of this tournament that he has yet to get through the first round in the tournament but he has a nice draw to start off with this year and we’ve seen in both the Masters and Championship League recently that he’s doing some damage in amongst the balls. He’s as good a potter as there is and plays the first shot he sees and he’s my main bet at 16/1. 1pt ew R.Milkins to win Snooker Shootout 50/1 Skybet (1/4 1-4) Robert Milkins made the final of this tournament in 2011 and ended the hopes of Ronnie O’Sullivan in the semi final that year and he looks a cracking bet to go well again this weekend because he will have no problem with the shot clock. He sees a shot and plays it and will be used to both the environment in this tournament and the instinctive nature of the event. He can get in from distance and scores when he’s in and is no 50/1 shot in my eyes even given how unpredictable this tournament is. Re: Snooker Shootout 25-27 Jan Rest of the outrights: 1pt ew M.Gould to win Snooker Shootout 33/1 Paddy Power (1/4 1-4) Martin Gould will probably be remembered in this tournament for rattling in a superb 135 break last year in a win over Jamie Jones. Gould is as instinctive as they come and scores heavily in the balls but gets in from distance too which is absolutely vital in this event. At 33/1 he definitely merits each way interest with his talent. 1pt ew M.White to win Snooker Shootout 66/1 Skybet (1/4 1-4) Not too many people will know about Michael White but he’s a heavy scorer who gets down and gets on with it so I would expect him to go well with a nice draw this weekend. He doesn’t fear the big boys and is an excellent long potter. In a normal tournament you’d say his tactics might let him down but this tournament is all about going for your shots and potting balls and White does that well enough to merit each way support. 1pt ew A.Burden to win Snooker Shootout 66/1 Boylesports (1/4 1-4) In the first year of this tournament Alfie Burden rammed in a 106 break against Matthew Selt and anyone who has that in his locker catches my eye in this tournament. Burden is a fluent player who goes for his shots and has been playing well this season. He won’t be worried by the fast shot clock and if he can get himself in from distance and get his confidence going he can go very deep this weekend.
