Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 Doubt much will be moving tomorrow, but if it is I'm on Canvey Island at home to Bury Town (11/10 Corals). Three wins out of four for Canvey since the turn of the year, and the one time they missed out was when they led 4-1 at Whitehawk with a quarter of an hour to go. They weren't that good against improving Thurrock on Saturday but the superb Bradley Woods-Garness was the difference. Bury are decent but they are missing bodies and couldn't fill the bench at home to ETU. I'm also on Bognor Regis Town away at Cray Wanderers (23/20 BetVics). Since losing their unbeaten away record rather limply in a 1-0 defeat to Kingstonian they've also lost out by the same score to Lewes and Wealdstone, so this is a risk. But they were a touch unlucky at Wealdstone and Cray are on a run of four straight defeats, and are poor at home with wins only coming against Carshalton and Harrow. Cray's job has not been made any easier by the departure of Paul and Joe Vines amid stories of a budget cut and more departures on the way. The starting XI looks pretty light.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 I am all over Gateshead tonight. Barrow were struggling to get a full squad together for the postponed game, I heard they only had 13 players to choose from and I dont think anything has changed since the weekend.

I am all over Gateshead tonight. Barrow were struggling to get a full squad together for the postponed game' date=' I heard they only had 13 players to choose from and I dont think anything has changed since the weekend.[/quote'] Agreed, Stodin, but it's P-P. The match, if it goes ahead this week, may be played on Wednesday at another venue, though this is still up in the air.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 Bury Town have boosted their numbers by signing Richard Logan and he goes into the squad tonight. In theory a good signing, but he didn't cover himself in too much glory at Dorchester, where he was for a spell until last week, and also the local paper reports he has a trial at Torquay United lined up for later this month and may be only signed for a couple of games.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 AFC Telford v Luton I backed Luton when this game was going to be played last month and they were odds against. Now they are 4/6 but I still think they should win. Luton are never a team you can be fully certain about, but AFC are looking pretty desperate and are leaking plenty of goals. With Luton beginning to score more and high on confidence I fancy them to cover the -1 handicap tonight which is 15/8 with Paddys and Stan James. I suspect Luton will have had a tougher game on Saturday than they will face tonight. I will add Cambridge to Luton which pays 1.7/1 with Stan James and Coral. Richard Money seems to have done a decent job in getting the best out of a young Cambridge squad and with Nuneaton's awful away form it should be a home win tonight. Stockport V Mansfield Another side with awful away form is Mansfield, but I am going to back them tonight at 5/4 with Blue Square and Coral. They did actually win their last away game at Alfreton and although they suffered a FA Cup hangover on Saturday they did improve in the second half against Kidderminster. Stockport are looking pretty poor with the only win in their last six against Hyde and the only other time they avoided defeat was in a draw against Telford. Mansfield really should win this tonight. I have also backed Bognor and have added Bognor on the -1 handicap at 16/5 and Bognor ht/ft at 13/5 with Paddy Power.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16

Ships or Addpea do you now if there is any important injuries or suspensions in Cambridge or Nuneaton?
I don't think there is any surprise news with only the long-termers missing. Tom Shaw coming back for Cambridge from suspension is probably the biggest news.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16

hello guys I'm new here' date='I backed today macclesfield[/quote'] Not sure if you are asking for our opinions or just telling us, but if its the later we need some reasons as to why you are backing them. Doesn't have to be much but at least a sentence or two. I was half tempted by Macclesfield as they look a little overpriced, but as Barnes-Homer is missing that puts me off and Dartford can cause problems.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 Telford as a home underdog of 4.0 or better are 0-2 this season, losing 1-2 to Forest Green and 0-2 to Wrexham. Luton are 4-0-2 in the favorite spot away, losing at Alfreton and Woking. Cambridge this season are 4-2-2 at home against dogs of 4.0 or better...Tamworth and Telford nicked draws there, and Hyde and Dartford won outright. Nuneaton, a perfect 4 draws as big home dogs (against Wrexham, Cambridge, Forest Green and Macclesfield), are 1-3-5 away as a dog of 4.0+, beating Alfreton and drawing against Hyde, Macclesfield and Grimsby. However, at over 6.0 Nuneaton are 0-1-3...and worse yet, as big dogs away they've only managed to score in three of nine games. If Nuneaton are over 6.0 at kickoff, it's no play for me, but I'll be on Telford to draw @ 4.06.

Re: England > Midweek > Non-league Jan 14-16 I was also interested in Macclesfield but was initially put off by the reported absence of Kissock in midfield. I had understood that Barnes-Homer would probably play, although it would seem from Ships' information that he is being kept for Saturday's home game against his old side, Kidderminster. I was also expecting goals in this game but will swerve completely now, given the absences of Macc's key players.
