Dog&Under
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 few games on the card for tomorrow night ... on face value, can't find much of an edge anywhere but haven't checked any team news ect as yet.
Dog&Under
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 At a stretch - slight lean towards Adelaide with Batkovic's 200th & a fair backlog of revenge ... Sydney with more than a dozen could be interesting too given Bendigo's apparent focus on this grand final venue issue.
Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Sydney opened at 11.5, which I felt was about right considering they are off a bye and might not bring the same intensity that saw them lose by just eight at Bendigo & six at Dandenong. The flood of money suggests punters are banking that it's a sure thing Sydney will be flat. Townsville -15.5 (increased stake) As I eluded to last week it's worth looking at Townsville afresh post Christmas. They should easily be capable of covering this handicap. Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Canberra @ 3.45 TAB 1.37 Bulleen anyone? They've won two of their last nine (seven at home), both to bottom placed West Coast, despite a general perception that Bulleen = good. Mind you, they have been quite solid away but that form is old now. Not sure Penaluna is 100%? Canberra just one from last eleven - again to West Coast - but have shown better signs lately and, of course, there's the niggle from pre season where perhaps Bulleen was in the wrong. Took a little bit of +7.5 but am trying the main bulk straight up on the at home experiene versus youth team.

Took a little bit of +7.5 but am trying the main bulk straight up on the at home experiene versus youth team. It's been a tricky one for me to shake this season .. haven't backed them a lot but have been reluctant to fade them a number of times when everything pointed in that direction .. I have a lot of respect for Tom Maher and am generally loathe to bet against good coaches. Gotta remember sometimes they aren't the ones who go out and play :) ... Canberra seem to have turned the corner last couple of weeks and with their finals hopes now officially gone it might actually work in their favour because they've been a side under the pump the last few weeks as the losses mounted and finals equation got more and more tight. That pressure is now somewhat eased. bottom line I guess with two teams on equally poor terms you may as well side with the one with +ve
binomial
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Played: Canberra under 148 1u Sydney +12.5 1u Sydney over 147 1.5u Townsville -15.5 1.5u Thought about Canberra couldn't pull the trigger. I am hoping it is a war without to much fouling and stays low scoring. GL with your plays.

Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 At their best Sydney should cover that. I'm probably staying out of it this time? Just the one; West Coast @ 11.00 Sportingbet Price is bit generous IMO - marked it 7.50. Anticipate that Langford may not play.

Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 All the faves for me tonight; Townsville -6 @ 1.84 (now out to 6.5/7 and still nice value IMO) Dandenong -17 @ 1.95 (still nice value at -18.5 IMO) Bend -16.5 @ 1.88 I guess the trick with Bendigo is how much will they be saving themselves in general (hot day, too) as well as minds more on the Adelaide game. However, they can put this margin on in one quarter if called upon. I marked the line at 25.
binomial
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 bit chalky, but they look like the right sides i agree. i have played Townsville -6.5 1.5u Bendigo over 140 1u might add Bendigo but i agree is they may hold back for the adelaide game, plus it is a situation where embarrassing WC again in front of their home fans doesn't achieve much for anyone. Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 do you bet NBL Ashtee? No, a case of throwing a bunch of balls in the air and triyng to catch them all. I just concentrate on AFL and WNBL. I might try to keep a closer eye on WNBA this season, without any expectation of a punt. I plan to retire within three years, so will then have time to take on more.

Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Yes, trying them at odds myself. Townsville @ 2.85 Also, Bulleen -6.5 Bendigo 2.60 & +4 I actually feel Bendigo should be favourite. Biggest drawback could be bum-rush from all their starters spending most of last night on the bench.

Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 lmao at this finish in sydney' date=' fire refusing to win it[/quote'] That would have been me (causing that)! I was at the Bulleen game but missed probably most of second half watching the Syd-Town scores tick over on my phone. There was never a doubt with me the wrong side would hit (twice!!!) with two seconds left. :D Took OVER 144.5 today's game. Adelaide games are higher with Batkovic, Bendigo are 9-5 since Griffin. Two previous meetings were 144 (Rd1) & 130 but Adelaide went into that game with a complex about their D. Two teams feeling pretty good about themselves, bit of OT in the air too! binomial
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 impressive weekend so far Ashtee. bit of a lean to Adelaide -3, even though Bendigo players didn't play many minutes it is still a nasty travel schedule plus Adaelaide have been destroying teams at home. might just stay away. Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Yes, I guess you were due that slight set back yourself ;). Adelaide will certainly fancy themselves today - it's been rare they've had their full squad in. I'm just liking the way Bendigo are approaching the finals lead in, as though they know they own it. Dog&Under
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 interesting market for this game in adelaide ... I generally take the wnbl purely on face value being a low profile / low turnover sport betting wise but can't help but feel this line suggests adelaide wins ... looks like its asking for Spirit money. Kristy Harrower tweeted "last game on the road for the regular season", could suggest Spirit not totally up for it / looking forward to getting home, esp having handled Adelaide twice already. They only need the one win to guarantee top spot and with Canberra on deck at home next week that's as good as done. Adelaide likely looking at this as a mojo booster heading into the finals
Ashtee
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Yes, sometimes worth reading into what they say. Apart from the TOTAL moving higher there has not been any interest in this game from punters. I'd say the price is based purely on two evenly matched teams but one on the road. Most punters do seem to agree, except for this black sheep. :hope

Dog&Under
Re: WNBL Season 2012/2013 Lean Fire again at first glance for friday night ... Just going by the numbers - they were 7pt dogs at home vs Bendigo a few weeks ago and 5pt dogs to Adelaide (& won both games straight up) Not sure why Dandenong warrants such an inflated number .. Think townsville is very much a live dog in this one, particularly with the Rangers kind of in no mans land now as far as their prospects of moving up or down the ladder from 2nd. Fire also stuck in 4th but should relish the chance to try to grab a decent scalp leading into the finals. helps that Dandenong have cruised in both previous matchups this season - doubt they'll have this game circled for an all out max effort.
