Re: European Tour: Munich Open 4-6 Jan Tournament preview: 1pt ew M.Davis to win Munich Open 16/1 Skybet (1/2 1-2) Davis hasn’t completely sealed his place in the finals yet so he needs a good run this week but having just broken into the top 16 he’ll be looking for a good run anyway to boost his ranking. We saw in the UK Championship that he is playing well and he’s made the semi final of a Euro PTC event this season already and with the draw kind this weekend he can go a step further here. Re: European Tour: Munich Open 4-6 Jan Friday TV match previews: 4pts R.Walden (-1.5 frames) to beat T.Tirapongpaiboon 4/5 Apollobet I think experience will come into play here and Ricky Walden has plenty of that. He is used to these conditions and generally goes well under them. When he’s on form he’s a heavy scorer but his tactical game is good enough that he rarely loses to players he shouldn’t do. Tirapongpaiboon is making his way in the game and will rise up the rankings but I don’t see him troubling the Wuxi champion here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/walden-vs-tirapongpaiboon-betting-ricky-walden-should-have-too-much-for-the-thai-in-munich 4pts G.Dott (-1.5 frames) to beat A.Mehta 4/5 Apollobet Graeme Dott will fancy his chances in this match. He is the more experienced in the conditions and he really needs a good run this weekend to force his way into the PTC finals. Mehta is talented and is rising in the rankings but he still lacks TV experience and he hasn’t got a lot to play for in terms of going into the finals unless he can win this tournament which seems unlikely. Dott has the experience and motivation and looks a good bet here. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/dott-vs-mehta-betting-dott-can-keep-his-finals-hopes-alive-with-win-over-aditya-mehta 4pts B.Woollaston to beat M.Stevens 7/4 Paddy Power Woollaston has some excellent results in the PTC’s down the years and it isn’t just poor players he beats. This season alone he has PTC wins over Mark Williams, Tom Ford, Graeme Dott and Peter Ebdon to his name so these events clearly bring out the best in him. Matthew Stevens seems to struggle in these events generally and although the crowd and TV lights might give him some inspiration I’m going with the guy proven in PTC’s. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/stevens-vs-woollaston-betting-ben-woollaston-can-enjoy-ptc-conditions-again-in-munich 4pts A.Hamilton (+1.5 frames) to beat S.Maguire 5/4 Apollobet The last two meetings between these two players have gone to a deciding frame and Hamilton looks to be in the form to take this one at least to a decider if not actually win the match. Maguire’s results have tailed off alarmingly in the last couple of months or so and with him playing in the Championship League next week he might feel a long jaunt in Germany isn’t what is required. Even if Maguire plays well I still think Hamilton can push him all the way. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/maguire-vs-hamilton-betting-anthony-hamilton-can-push-stephen-maguire-all-the-way-in-munich 3pts K.Maflin (+1.5 frames) to beat N.Robertson 13/8 Apollobet Maflin has forced a deciding frame in both his previous meetings against Neil Robertson and he might be playing him at the right time here to force another, if not actually beat the Australian. Maflin is clearly scoring very well at the minute and the confidence his 147 in Scotland will have given him could inspire him to cause an upset. Robertson might be low on confidence after that collapse against Selby in the UK Championship so I’ll take Maflin to at least force a deciding frame for the third time in three meetings against the Aussie.
