Re: ACN 2013 - Group A Saturday previews: 4pts Cape Verde (+1AH) to beat South Africa 1.75 188bet South Africa as a rule don’t score many goals and with the pressure of hosting the tournament and satisfying a big crowd this could be a good time to get on Cape Verde. Cape Verde showed against Cameroon in qualifying that the bigger nations hold no fear to them and with the price on the +1 Asian handicap being in the 1.7 region that looks attractive enough to take as even should Cape Verde lose there’s a strong chance it will only be by the odd goal which will give us a refund anyway. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/south-africa-vs-cape-verde-betting-host-nation-unlikely-to-blow-cape-verde-away-in-tournament-opener 3pts Angola vs Morocco - Draw 9/4 Bet365 I think this will be quite a tight match, as first matches tend to be in these tournaments. Both sides will know this group is wide open so a draw here might not necessarily be the worst result in the world as the other two are very much beatable and there isn’t an Ivory Coast or Ghana in the group. Angola have kept things very tight in their friendlies in the run up to this match and I can see this one ending all square. Re: ACN 2013 - Group A ANGOLA v MOROCCO These two teams had good pre tourney preparations. Morocco had a disastrous AFCON 2012 after they were tipped as one of the favourites but ended up exiting in the group stages. Coach Rachid Taoussi left experienced stars like Chamakh, Kharja and Taarabt from his squad. Midfielder Namli also had an injury in the last preparatory game. Angola will be relying on veteran striker Manucho and midfielder Djalma to do the trick for them in this tourney. Angola don’t have a good record against Morocco as they have lost 4 out of 5 previous games and 1 ending in a drawn game. This game I forsee seeing both teams getting on the score sheet. PICK: Both teams to score @ 2.20 Bet365 2/10 PICK: Over 2.25 @ 2.37 Pinnacle 2/10 In the opening game South Africa face Cape Verde who are making their debut. Having watched some games of both teams this match wouldn’t see more than 2 goals. The best bet will be Under 2.25 goals available at 5Dimes for 1.73

Re: ACN 2013 - Group A South Africa vs Cape Verde Finally, the opening game in Johannesburg where it was raining all day. South Africa as the host will have great support from the stands, but also the pressure on them will be very high. Igesund is not much known coach at an international level, and the team will be without former captain Pienaar and two deadly scorers McCarthy and Nowethe. They haven't scored a single goal in the last two preparatory matches this year (against Norway and Algeria), disrupting their mood before the start of the tournament. On the other hand, Cape Verde are newcomers and they will play without any pressure. Their amazing success is linked to the well-organized defensive play. As for his opponent, and the Islanders have missing several key offensive players and even they didn't scored a goal in the last two friendlies against Nigeria and Ghana. Starting odds 1.45 for home win were very low, but the current 1.70 looks quite fair. However, I'm out of that market for this fixture. The host is the better team but under much more pressure, a pitch is probably not in the ideal conditions, cautious approach and the absence of some important offensive players on both sides. It smells like a low scoring game, IMO. I found a solid value at the local bookie, and I take that with low stakes, since the first game of the tournament is very unpredictable. under 2,5 @1.65 at local (millenium) low stake

Re: ACN 2013 - Group A Angola vs Morocco Both teams have qualified for this competition, even though they lost the first qualifying match by two goals. Also, both sides are very motivated to improve their performance from last year's tournament and will try it with the new coaches who are well-adapted, seeing the good results of these teams in the preparation period. Angola is probably weaker team, but they are definitely in a better mood. By the way, Palancas Negras are closest to South Africa and Morocco is the farthest participant. Another good news for Angola is that their key players, striker Manucho and midfielder Djalma are fully fit, while goalkeeper Lama is in doubt. On the other hand, the Atlas Lions are under pressure because coach Taoussi didn't call a few key players. However, their star player Belhanda recovered and will be fit for tonight's game. H2H matches are on their side, with four wins and a draw (goal difference 11:5). I expect a very interesting and equalized game. I thought the value is on the side of Angola, but I can't underestimate the North Africans who probably have the best team in this group. Defense is the weakest part of these teams which will be very motivated after a draw in the first group game. I can see some goals... over 2 @2.08 (SBObet, 5Dimes) low stake

Re: ACN 2013 - Group A Wednesday previews: 4pts Angola (+0.25AH) to beat South Africa 2.01 SBOBet I really wasn’t all that impressed with South Africa in the opening game and goals are often something which they don’t come by too easily. I had a feeling going into the tournament that Angola might surprise one or two and I think that could be the case in this match. They are in good form defensively and with someone like Manucho up top they will always be in the game if they stay tight at the back and I think they can get a result here even if it is only a draw which would give us a half win on the Asians. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/south-africa-vs-angola-betting-angola-can-take-a-result-from-the-hosts-in-the-second-match-for-both-sides 4pts Morocco vs Cape Verde - Both teams to score 5/4 Coral Poor finishing let both sides down in their opening matches but we have to remember these are young sides and they may have needed a game to get into the tournament. Now that they’ve played a match and the hype has died down a bit I think we’ll see the best of both sides in this match. Both teams looked like they had the creativity and the quality to create chances and I think the odds against on both scoring look good here as I expect to see much more composure in front of goal in this game. Re: ACN 2013 - Group A South Africa v Angola This is a must win game for the hosts who have good tradition against Palancas Negras. Both teams were not good in first round so will be very motivated today. Bafana Bafana have probably two midfielders out due to injury, but it means that Serero and Furman could start, also "Killer" Mphela should start. Angola can count on Djalma again, and they are familiar with the conditions in SA. But besides support from the stands, I expect some minor things that could be a strong boost for home team. Re: ACN 2013 - Group A

Congrats mate' date=' got anything on the Morocco game? Im thinking just a Morocco win but I missed the first Group A games so im really unsure on how Cape Verde played :S[/quote'] Cape Verde played quite solid, and in my opinion they were closer to winning against South Africa. I've already taken a bet that they will qualify from this group, so I'm just "a spectator" tonight. I hope we will see a few goals.

Ok mate cheers, I saw a few articles saying South Africa gave them the ball fairly easily and could have lost the game, also saw Morocco apparently missed a few guilt edge chances so its a bit tricky to call I may take a punt on Morocco or just look at in play after the opening 10 or so, good luck though pal

Re: ACN 2013 - Group A Sunday previews: 4pts South Africa vs Morocco - Both teams NOT to score 4/5 Skybet I’m not convinced by either of these sides I must admit and I don’t expect this to be a classic. Both are missing key men so what goals there are in the match are likely to be few and far between so I like the look of the 4/5 that is available that both teams do NOT score. Both sides opened the group with 0-0 draws and one of them could well fail to score here if not both. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/morocco-vs-south-africa-betting-goals-aren-t-likely-to-be-free-flowing-in-group-a-finale 4pts Cape Verde to beat Angola (DNB) Evs Paddy Power I like Cape Verde here on the basis of what I’ve seen in the competition so far. They look much more composed on the ball and they have the flair and the attacking players to get at the Angola defence and as we saw against South Africa earlier in the week that is a defence which doesn’t like to be attacked. If anything Cape Verde have been guilty of running out of steam in games so far so just in case that happens again I’ll take them on the draw no bet. Re: ACN 2013 - Group A South Africa Win: Finish top of table Draw: Qualify and stay top of the table unless Cape Verde win and finish with superior goal difference or more goals scored Loss: Would still qualify as runners-up on head-to-head rule if Angola wins or Cape Verde draw, but go out if Cape Verde wins Cape Verde Win: Would qualify as group winners or runners-up Draw: Would go through if Morocco loses, but second place would be settled by goals scored, disciplinary records or drawing of lots if Morocco also draws Loss: Eliminated Morocco Win: Would qualify as group winners or runners-up Draw: Eliminated if Cape Verde or Angola win -- if Cape Verde draw, second place settled by goals scored, disciplinary records or drawing of lots Loss: Eliminated Angola Win: Only hope of survival, and even maximum points not enough if South Africa lose as hosts would advance on head-to-head rule Draw: Eliminated Loss: Eliminated

Re: ACN 2013 - Group A South Africa v Morocco Despite several absences I think both sides have good strikers (Parker, Mphela v El Hamdaoui, El Arabi) and will go for the win. In fact, Morocco must play offensively, to reach a better result than last year and that this new generation justify the trust of fans. On the other hand, the hosts will fight back because it's the only way to secure first place and an easier opponent in the quarterfinals. The stadium is sold out and expected huge support for South Africa, but I'm convinced that the north Africans will do anything to spoil the celebration. Therefore can't see the goalless game. Cape Verde v Angola Here, Angola must win if they want to qualify, but don't expect an easy job for them because they didn't scored a single goal in the first two games. On the other hand, Cape Verde is defensively strong team and a draw would suit them in some way, so don't expect an attacking game from them, at least until halftime. I hope that they will qualify because I bet on it before the tournament start, but now I'm taking bets on goals in both today's match. South Africa v Morocco over 1,5 Cape Verde v Angola under 2,5 @2.32 Pinnacle low stake
