Re: Beating the Hot Things Tara Rose 14.00 Bangor 1 Pt Win @ 3.75 (BOG) Bumper/dual hurdles winner who was favourite when narrowly beaten in messy Leicester maiden on chase bow. May have found next race coming too soon and back on track when second at Ludlow.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Menorah 14.25 Newbury 0.5e/w @ 7.0 (BOG) Finally produced the performance he once promised over fences when a convincing winner of a 2½m Grade 2 at Kempton in December. Likely to go well if seeing out longer trip.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Melodic Rendezvous 14.30 Exeter 1 Pt Win @ 2.38 (BOG) Smart in bumpers and quickly reached a similar level over hurdles, winning at Cheltenham in December and following up in Grade 1 Tolworth at Sandown last month. Should be even more to come.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Sharivarry Lost Welsh Bard 13.50 Ayr 0.5 ew @ 6.5 (BOG) 1/5 1,2,3 Fair 1¾m winner on Flat for Sir Mark Prescott, but looked a tricky ride when showing just modest form on his 2 hurdles starts to date, going in snatches when well-held third at Lingfield last time.

More to offer in this sphere and leading claims.

Showed aptitude for hurdling both starts in December and capable of better in this sphere, perhaps on better ground.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Uriah Heep 14.20 Doncaster 0.5 e/w @ SP 1/5 1,2,3 Fairly useful on Flat for Sir Michael Stoute, successful at Goodwood (1¼m) in September. Sold for 23,000 gns following month and worth checking market for clues on hurdling debut.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Nataani 15.30 Huntingdon 0.5 e/w @ 6.00 (BOG) 1/4 1,2 Completed hat-trick of chase/hurdle wins at Worcester (23f) in October. Not disgraced in competitive handicap chases last twice and no forlorn hope back hurdling with different headgear tried.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Water Wagtail 13.35 Chepstow 0.5 e/w @ 6.5 (BOG) Half-brother to yard's classy hurdler Kentford Grey Lady. Has shown bit of promise all 3 starts, staying-on second in 2¾m Ffos Las maiden hurdle last month. Likely more to come.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Water Wagtail Lost Prince massini 16.20 Fontwell 0.5 e/w @ SP Chase winner who was successful 3 times in points in 2012. Shaped as though needing race when fourth in a 3m Ludlow hunter this month, but plenty to find on balance of form.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Clouded Thoughts 15.20 Catterick 0.5e/w @ 4.5 1/4 1,2 Won 2½m maiden chase at Limerick in May for Jessica Harrington but yet to match that form for new yard, finishing weakly in Lingfield novice last time. Step up in trip could help.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Hernello 14.40 Lingfield 0.5 ew @ SP 1/5 1,2,3 Just poor form in bumpers for Dr Richard Newland and little impact in similar events for new yard (carried out at Huntingdon last week). May do better when going handicapping.

Re: Beating the Hot Things Madame Allsorts UR Mistral Reine 15.20 Doncaster 0.5 ew @ 15.00 (BOG) Modest form at best in 3 bumpers starts this winter. In good hands, and bred to do better over hurdles at this sort of trip.
