Aidymac
Ok guys, i hope we can get a bit of interest going in the GAA season for 2013. There are some great punting opportunities in this sport as the draw is usually unlikely, and we can get good handicap betting. I am sure there are plenty of Irish lads living in the UK, as London are an improving county in the championship every year. It would be great to get some good GAA banter, tips, discussion and bets going for next season, as it is a wonderful sport played with passion and played by real men for no money. Hope ye jump on board. Below are the odds for next years 2013 championship, i will also get a thread for the League's going soon. Get stuck in. Please. :D

[TH][/TH] [TH]

Anyway, on a tangent, i like St Eunans & Salthill 2day in the handicap; 2 singles #caaash Rationale needed on this thread?? Hmmm, hard to know mate. I had Donegal tipped up here at 16/1 after they beat Derry last year, and for me nobody came close to matching them in 2012. I see no reason why they can't win again, as long as McGuinness is there they will be in the semi's at the very least, they are very solid defensively, but i probably would not back them at that price. The odds are tight for the top 4. I'll be backing Cork as I always do. The old man was from Cork. Hi Pobby, Cork have a great squad, full of talent and extremely fit. They were dominated by Donegal in 2012, but this Cork team is still young. One of Cork's problems is the supporters, they only show up for finals unfortunately. But for me, i think Cork are still stronger than Kerry. I will have to watch them play in the opening rounds, but at the moment it is so hard to look past Donegal or Cork for next year. poorbarman
Re: All Ireland Football Championship 2013 Its kerry for me.You seem to have forgotten that a bad mistake by the goalkeeper cost them dearly against Donegal. No other team were at the races against the current champs last year and we have a new manager with quite a lot of new talent coming through. To be perfectly honest whoever beats kerry in the KO stages will win the All ireland, just like the last two years.......... Dublin also should have been beat by Laois, and Brogan was useless all year. Huge improvement needed by the Dubs if they want to even get to the final. They are a team that focus on the gym and not ball-work. I think Donegal are the team to beat again next year. As long as McGuinness is in charge, that side are gonna be extremely tough to beat. ciaran1988
Re: All Ireland Football Championship 2013 U say the Dubs were horrendous last year but they still made it to the semi-finals. A wee bit of improvement and why cant they be all ireland champs Well they didn't face any team with quality until they got to the semi's in my opinion Ciaran. Meath should have beat them in the end in the Leinster final, then Laois were the better side against them, and Donegal do what they do best, which is grind out wins. Dublin will always be around the semi's, as they always win Leinster as it is not a competitive province. Problem with Dublin is it is all gym and no ballwork, they don't seem to be technically gifted, and yes they won a all-ireland recently, but for me, it will be another while before we see them winning another one, Brogan was terrible last year and he is the key to Dublin's success for me. If he can get back to 100%, ye definately have a shout.
Aidymac
Re: GAA Championship 2013 *Carlow v London > Leinster Championship > London +4.5 Points @ 4/5 Bet365* The 7/2 about London really really tempted me for a large bet, but I have decided to play it safe and went for the handicap. There is no way London should be so unfancied for me. Even though this is London's first outing in the championship for 30 years, they are on a high at the moment after beating Wicklow in the Christy Ring Cup final last summer. A lot of very good club players from big counties like Galway are living and working in London and they do have quality players in their ranks. London also got promoted in the league this year, and only lost 1 game throughout the league. Carlow are far too short in the betting. They have won one game all year, and got relegated from their league and will be in the same league as London next season. This is Carlow's third year competing in Leinster, and they are yet to get a championship win. There is massive value backing London on the handicap here, even if Carlow win by 4 points, we still win!

My girlfriend is from Leitrim so I spend a lot of time there. 15/8 is a cracking price for London, couldn't put you off that one Pobby.. Players not turning up for training at Leitrim, no interest in the camp at all. London nearly beat Mayo two years ago remember.
Pobby
Re: GAA Championship 2013 A draw! London 2 points up with 5 to play. Replay next Sunday in Roscommon which is a stitch up as it should be in Ruislip. The GAA definitely don't want London to be in a Connaught Final. Spankyf
Re: GAA Championship 2013 Anybody opinions on the final? Can't get to watch the games abroad anymore but still following. These aren't tips but I have to say I fancy Mayo and over 2.5 goals. I don't think the players will choke again after 2007 as I think they'll have a ruthless mindset of making amends. To me Dublin are sort of 'we'll score more than you' but their impressive wins are all the more enjoyable for it. Either way I hope it'll be a cracker. Mayo have got to 7 All Ireland finals since they last won one and have lost every final, there is something of a mental blockage with Mayo sides when they reach the final. Dublin are the fittest side in the country but Mayo have better ball players. If the game is tight with 15 to go I can see Dublin pulling clear. They scored 3-18 against Kerry and Mayo are yet to really play an in form team this year? Galway, London, a crocked Donegal side and a Tyrone side that got hockeyed by Donegal and scraped past Monaghan. Mayo need to have a healthy lead at half time to have any chance in my view and I think the price on Dublin is excellent.
