Keys of Cyprus ~ 9f was to far for this 10yo lto not set the world alight on the AW but is a threat here off just a mark of 50. Micheal Flips ~ Good horse but poor effort lto shorter trip will suit. Jock in very good form. Teaforthree ~ Needed run back lto McCoy back on board this will be a slog which wont be a problem to this horse.

Re: Lucky 15 Thread - Every Saturday 13.35 - Towcester - Hazy Tom @ 14/1 Off to Towcester tomorrow and feel that Richard Woolacott's only runner of the day Hazy Tom will prove better than his re-appearnace earlier in the month. He was gambled on, on his first start for the yard and went off 11/8 fav but unfortunately dissapointed and finished a long way back in 7th. He had looked to have dropped to a very nice mark of 87 considering he was rated 10-15lbs higher a year ago and has been dropped another 4lbs so runs off 83 tomorrow. Also has 5lb allowance of decent claimer Michael Nolan to further ease his burden - He has had 9 rides for the yard resulting in 3 wins and 2 places. Has form in testing ground so the conditions shouldnt cause a problem and hopefully he will relish the step back up in trip to 3m. Has a couple of entries for the next week or so, so hoping he's ready for a big run. 13.10 - Newbury - Teaforthree @ 14/1 Plenty of stamina and likes the testing conditions. Won the 4-miler at Cheltenham earlier in the year and didnt shape too badly on re-appearance a fortnight ago. McCoy back onboard and has atleast place claims in my opinion. 18.50 - Wolverhampton - White Fusion @ 10/1 Interesting runner for David O'Meara with Silvestre De Sousa booked. Been off the track for along time and could be anything on the flat, maiden form on flat looks okay despite him dissapointing over jumps in the past year. Was 2nd on only polytrack run, trip is fine and is hopefully ready for this. 21.20 - Wolverhampton - Johnnie Skull @ 8/1 Dropping to a tempting mark, finished a close 4th off 2lb higher mark in a similar race 2 starts ago. Not as good at Southwell lto but Luke Morris back onboard, on last winning mark and has a decent draw to boot. Sure to win again sooner rather than later. 50p EW Lucky 15 with Bet365

Re: Lucky 15 Thread - Every Saturday 2.20 Newcastle Trifolium - has to beat Cinders And Ashes and has a few lengths improvement to find on their last run but has run well on heavy in the past and, should racing go ahead, looks overpriced at 9/2 against the favourite considering those Cheltenham margins. 9/2 b365 3.10 Newbury First Lieutenant - not that far off Bobs Worth in RSA and double the price here. Handles testing ground and won't mind a slog here, also has the benefit of a recent run to his name. 8/1 b365 3.40 Newbury Gus Macrae - bidding for hat-trick and won Listed chase at ascot on last time. Competing in a 0-145 class 2 here and warrants serious respect, even though 8lb higher. 5/1 b365 8.50 Wolverhampton Macs Sister - returned to form on latest AW start over 6f, and returns to 7f here, which is expected to bring about some improvement. All three wins have come off marks higher than this and J. Fortune gets the leg up tonight for the Dean Ivory stable - a big, big positive. 5/1 b365

Re: Lucky 15 Thread - Every Saturday Staying Article 12.45pm Fairyhouse - 6/5 Paddypower Cinders and Ashes 2.20pm Newcastle - 8/11 Paddypower First Lieutenant 3.10pm Newbury - 9/1 Paddypower Rich Lord 3.25pm Newcastle - 9/2 Paddypower Staying Article looks the class act here and avoids the Hattons Grace on Sunday to take in this race. Won well last time out and can defy a penalty to win again. Cinders and Ashes the class horse in the race, goes on the ground and trainer does well in this race usually. My fancy for the Champion Hurdle and even if not quite 100% could still be too good for these. First Lieutenant possibly overpriced, has some top class form in hurdles and chases and can reverse RSA form with Bobs Worth. Needs to settle better but jumps well, seems to be over back problems and should go close. Junior surely won't be fully fit and Rich Lord gets 3lb taken off by the talented Lucy Alexander. Has a lighter weight to drag around 3m on soft/heavy ground and possible value at 7-1 but can only take 9-2 for this lucky 15 thread with all bets being with the same bookie. Haven't actually backed these in a lucky 15 but these would be my selections. Might get on them via Bet365 as most of my cash is with them.

Newbury 12:50 Ma Filleule Henderson seems to have a good record with 4/5 year olds in novice hurdles. Towcester 14:10 Two Rockers Alan King is in profit to £1 stakes with the 4+yo's Wolverhampton 18:50 Pertemps Networks Graham Gibbons always seems to find winners at the aw tracks especially Southwell and Wolves. Has a chance here on a horse that has CD wins with Gibbons riding. Wolverhampton 21:20 This Ones For Eddy Poor recent form but has CD win under its belt with Gibbons riding as he does again. CD win came when carrying 9-8 (56 rating) running this at 9-5 (53). .25 e/w L15

N1.25 Handy Andy - Has only won 2 races and both were at this track (albeit over hurdles) but clearly runs much better here the anywhere else. N1.45 Pamak D'Airy - I'm not a fan of the jockey but the horse has some really good form on this ground in the book N2.35 At Fishers Cross - McCoy on board and has some cracking form in the book, is lightly raced and fit after a recent win.

Re: Lucky 15 Thread - Every Saturday My Win Lucky 15 for today: 14.10 Towcester: Timesishard @ 5/1 First start under rules at Market Rasen three weeks ago and done very well there, slightly outpaced two out but ran on very well after final fence finishing second. There should be more to come and improvement looks very much possible for the step up in trip so should run a big race in this open looking contest. 14.20 Newcastle: Countrywide Flame @ 4/1 Big price for a Triumph Hurdle winner I feel as the favourite may find this very though on his first start after a long break in testing conditions so it might be wise to stick with the fit and proven Countrywide Flame who done well in the recent number of weeks on the flat and can hopefully use his fitness advantage today. 14.35 Newbury At Fishers Cross @ 5/1 Lightly raced, promising on his seasonal reappearance at Ffos Las recently, winning a Novice hurdle easily in impressive style. He should relish the step up in trip while being unexposed and could take advantage of a fair mark on handicap debut. 15.10 Newbury: Hold On Julio 8/1 He is still lightly raced and improved massively last year in the ratings over fences, winning twice at Sandown in very impressive fashion. He was disappointing at the Cheltenham festivaö then but I'm happy enough to ignore this form as he made a fantastic seasonal reappearance at Cheltenham recently, finishing a a very decent third to Balthazar King. He should be sharper and fitter today and conditions looking fine for him so a big run is surely expected.

Ran here a few weeks ago and didn't do well but I was impressed earlier in the year at Hereford when I won at 9/2 and made a note that a slightly longer distance might be in order. Only a furlong extra admittedly. 14.35 Newbury Star of Angels 20/1 Hills BOG Tricky race this one- I like Scots Gaelic but not sure of the jockey booking. This appears to be a massive price. Gets the trip and seems OK on the ground. Conflicting information on the jockey- RP app says Tom Scudamore but I've seen Timmy Murphy down on Oddschecker. Either one is OK but preference would be for Scudamore riding for Pipe. Bit of a longshot to be honest as age is a concern. 14:10 Newbury Hold On Julio 8/1 Hills BOG Wasn't going to do the Hennessy but I really like the horse even though he let me down at Cheltenham. 3 from 7 under rules and 4-6 between the flags. An improving nine year old (never thought I'd say that) who looks to need slightly further to run: this is a furlong longer than his previous attempts and without a doubt gets the ground. Big fan of the jockey/trainer combination. 15:40 Newbury Renard 12/1 Hills BOG Fourth behind Cue Card at the Haldon Gold Cup didn't really do this horse justice. Looked good on chases last season and gets the trip and ground. I like the jockey trainer combination as well, although I'm not sure on the strike rate at Newbury. 50p each way Lucky 15. S12.55 Justazippy 7/1 - lightly raced but has already shown a liking for soft ground - the form when 2nd to tempest river looks good since it's now about a stone better off. S2.30 Petit Robin 13/2 - bags of class and seems to have a strong bias towards right handed tracks. Confidence boosting run LTO and looks way too big with a decent 7lb claimer on board C2.40 Brough Academy 12/1 - won 1 from 1 on heavy and had a debut run this season. Should be spot on today.

However, should strip fitter for that outing. 7/1 2.30 Sandown IFANDBUTWHYNOT won comfortably in a novices' handicap at Cheltenham last time and the form of that race was boosted yesterday when the runner-up, Tanerko Emery, won at this track. He's up 13lb but was evidently let in on a good mark. Could still be something to work with off 130. 3/1 3.20 Aintree CHANCE DU ROY ran well when second in Topham last season and was given quiet pipeopener over hurdles recently to get a run under his belt. 5lb higher than Topham effort now and ground is slower, but experience of the fences should stand him in good stead and has a good chance if he stays. 3/1 3.40 Sandown The London National will take some getting on this ground today and with stamina a doubt for some, I like the look of Midlands National runner-up MAJOR MALARKEY. Has one of the best in the business - Noel Fehily - on his back and wound up to go on his reappearance (won first time out in 2010 season on soft ground) could get involved. 5/1

Sandown 3.05 Sprinter Sacre 4/9 >PP Already favourite for the Queen Mother Champion Chase after an unbeaten season over fences, was simply breathtaking at Cheltenham and has 1 serious rival today in Sanctuaire who likes it here but for me isnt in the same league although at least will give the favourite a test. Chepstow 1.30 The Romford Pele 3/1 >PP 7th in the Bumper at Cheltenham last March, has already ran 3 times this season and finished 2-2-1, steps up in trip today and handy to have the 10lb claimer on board which negates the penalty for latest win Aintree 3.20 Carrickboy 5/1 >PP been looking at this one after its performance at cheltenham festival 6th behind Hunt Ball, beaten 14l that day. Puled up over further on next 2 starts, but returned to action this season with a creditable 4th LTO. Off a low weight today.
