Re: Boxing > October 20/21 Kell Brook v Hector Saldivia Brook Rounds 1-6 @ 4/5 Sportingbet I've been impressed with Kell Brook, his rise through the ranks has been second to none, his last performance against a defiant Carson Jones showed that when he has to he can be pulled in to a relentless dog fight and still come out on top and if anything that last performance will make him even more confident to prevail against the Argentine Saturday night. Brooks last 2 fights have been tough ones, Mathew Hatton and Carson Jones are both well established fighters who are hard to break down and Brooks managed to get the win against both. His record of 28 wins in 28 fights speaks for itself and with 18 knockouts the 28 year old Saldivia could be on the end of the 29th early in this fight. Saldivia has already had 41 fights so he will definately be up for this as he knows it's his chance to hit the 'big time' but what concerns me is the standard of fighter he has been facing, he has definately never fought anyone with Brooks quality and has already lost to Said Ouali who was beaten by Carson Jones in 7 rounds last year. I fancy Brook to finish this one early, Ouali finished Saldivia off in the 1st round and Brook should get this done inside the first 6.

Re: Boxing > October 20/21 Hi guys I've had my eye on this fight and came here to make a similar post to the one above after having reviewed some of their previous fights and read a preview by Derek Bilton at Sportinglife who I've a lot of respect for. A bit more info about Saldivia: His record has been built on winning at domestic level against fighters who don't rank on an international level. Other than this Saturday his only other fight outside of South America was a bizarre one where he had Quali down in 10 seconds then when going for the KO himself was knocked down by a counter from which he never recovered and the referee stopped the fight when Saldvia was knocked down a 2nd time in the first round. Kell Brook should prove should prove a very big step up in class. Don't read much into the Hatton fight going 12 rounds as Hatton showed a lot of heart to get past the 5/6 round mark and previously managed to last the distance vs Saul Alvarez up a weight division. Brook by KO 4/9 Brook rounds 1-6 @evens when dutched at Betfred

Re: Boxing > October 20/21 Brook v Saldivia Agree with what has been said above. Saldivia has hardly ever left Argentina and has been fighting nobodies. Anyone can look good stats wise when fighting bums but when they step up in class they get found out. With the recent spat on Ringside I expect Brook to send a message to Khan and possibly set up a cracking fight with Khan. It seems Saldivia can bang and has a punchers chance but Brook should be too good, too quick and too strong for him. I also expect an early finish within 6 but feel it could be a complete mis match and over very early so I am contemplating a couple of points on Brook in rounds 1-3 and then a smaller covering bet on rounds 4-6. Saldivia has two losses, both TKO's. It seemed to be well known by those in boxing that Brook was not fully fit last time out against Jones and they said he enjoys his food too much. It seems he was complacent and he should have learnt from that now and made the necessary changes to his training camp. He has the skills and last time out showed he has heart and balls too. 3pts - Brook to win in rounds 1-3 - Bet365 10/3 1pt - Brook to win rounds 4-6 - Bet365 4/1

Re: Boxing > October 20/21 5pts K.Brook to win in Rounds 1-6 11/10 Ladbrokes I expect this to be a quick night for Kell Brook. This looks a well picked opponent to build his confidence and make him look good ahead of seeking the world title fights and I expect him to get the job done inside the distance. Saldivia has already been knocked out in the first round in his career and while the job may not get done that quickly here I expect Brook’s flashy combinations and fast hand speed and power combination to get through inside the first six rounds. Re: Boxing > October 20/21 Previews for the US card on BoxNation tonight: 4pts D.Alexander to win by Unanimous Decision 10/11 Ladbrokes I can’t see anything other than a Devon Alexander win here. He’s the classier operator and I expect him to outbox the veteran in this fight. I don’t think it’ll be particularly special but Alexander can use his boxing skills and control the fight from start to finish. Bailey has a punchers chance but for me not much more than that and I think Alexander will win this by unanimous decision. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/alexander-vs-bailey-betting-devon-alexander-can-completely-dominate-welterweight-world-title-fight 4pts P.Malignaggi to win by Unanimous Decision Evs Ladbrokes Cano might be fun to watch here but I don’t see him beating an awkward Malignaggi in the American’s home town. Malignaggi knows a rematch with Ricky Hatton might not be too far away and I’m sure he’ll look to make sure he gets the job done here. As with so many of his fights, I think Malignaggi will outbox Cano for the 12 rounds and take a comfortable decision. Full preview here: http://www.punterslounge.com/malignaggi-vs-cano-betting-magic-man-malignaggi-can-have-too-many-tricks-for-cano 5pts D.Garcia to win by KO/TKO/DQ 11/10 Skybet I think we’re going to see Danny Garcia go from strength to strength now and I not only expect him to win this fight but I expect him to have the confidence, purpose and more importantly power to get this job done inside the distance. Morales has been round the blocks many times in his career and at some point that will start to takes its toll. I believe that will be here. Re: Boxing > October 20/21 4/10pts Danny Garcia to beat Erik Morales by KO, TKO or DisQ - 11/10 with SkyBet We already know Garcia can bang - his record speaks for itself. He dominated the last time he met Morales and I fully expect him to do so again but this time do it inside the distance. Morales hasn't recorded any significant wins for a long time and isn't able to keep up the same workrate as he was once famous for. This fight has an extra edge to it because it was so close to being called off after Morales failed a drugs test so Garcia will be even more up for this than he once was. He is obviously angry about the situation and that is a good thing to be able to use to his advantage whilst failing the test and not knowing if the fight will go ahead will have affected Morales. No doubt about it. I think Garcia can record another win inside the distance and an odds-against price is good value.

Thanks Kell Brook :nanaGreat performance and as one sided as I feared it might be. It will be pretty much the same when Froch fights Yusuf Mack. Hope to see Brook V Khan at some point, would sell out the MEN Arena for sure.

It's a strange one with the Morales affair. Failed a drugs test but they said the B sample can't be taken until 48hrs after the first sample so the fight is still allowed to go ahead. If he was to beat Garcia and the B sample comes back positive would they disqualify him, strip him of the title and give it back to Garcia or make it vacant? I don't think that will happen but puts another edge on the fight.

Re: Boxing > October 20/21 Some great shouts in here! Thought Malignaggi was very lucky though, if he hadn't been at home probably would have been a different decision, I thought Cano deserved that one. Great performances from Garcia and Brook though both looked on top form, was some hit from Garcia to finish Morales off nearly knocked him out the ring! :eek Looking forward to the Froch and Hatton fights next month!

Easily done and Morales is finally admitting his career is coming to an end. Well done to the others with winners.
