Arsenal V Schalke Over 2.5 goals @ 1.79 - Betfair. Tbh I think a price of 1.9 is a cracking price on the home win as I can see there being a slight overreaction following Arsenal's loss to Norwich at the weekend. I haven't been convinced that Arsenal's defence has turned a corner this season, and that still remains the same. I think off the top of my head they've conceded a goal in each of their last four or five games. With them facing a German side as well I think the chances of there being a few goals in this game should increase. I still have great faith in the Arsenal front line despite doubts over Podolski, Giroud and Gervinho. I think with the way Arsenal play football they'll always create chances and their style means whoever plays just needs to fit into that mould. With those three I obviously don't think they're at the same level as a Van Persie or an Henry, but they're abilities are unquestionable IMO. I never really think of German teams as having particularly strong defences either, as they do play quite purposeful attacking football. Because of that I see the overs as the best route to go down here.

Re: Group B > Oct 24 (Arsenal, Schalke, Montpelier, Olympiakos) of Schalke’s 4 away games this season they have scored 2 goals in every game. 3 of Arsenals last 4 home CL games have seen +2.5 goals with 3 of these games seeing both teams scoring. Arsenal have now conceded in their last 8 games in all comps.....have to agreed jase goals looks on the cards. Cant back arsenal to win against decent ish opposition that can score goals imo so over 2.5 looks the play and even over 3.5 2/1 right now . Schalke could very possible get something from this

I’m not someone who is going to write Arsenal off just because they’ve lost to Norwich but there’s no getting around the fact that injuries are starting to bite them hard. Schalke look like the sort of side who can set up well on the counter attack. They should be full of confidence from beating Dortmund at the weekend and with the clinical finishing of Huntelaar in their midst they have enough about them to win this match. Very good analysis, I agree with you. I also bet over 2,5 on bet365 for 1,80.

Chelsea won at arsenal. Schalke has the finish of huntelaar. Arsenal defence is looking shaky. At least Schalk could get a draw here and the odds on arsenal are too low for me so I am laying them. Thats right, its CL and draws are more probable. Besides arsenal lost to chelsea and schalke defeating dortmund in their own backyard is something worth considering.
