Re: Netherlands > Eredivisie > 2012/13 Twente - Ajax Derby match this round in very bad time for both teams.After finishing 1st at the end of 2012 Twente dont have win in 2013.Since Chadli is injured they look like have a lot of problem to score.In the other side Ajax also look very poor.Last 3 games they draw home against Den Hag, they lost against Steaua in EL and they didnt qualify for next round even if everybody was expecting them to reach final game that is playing at there stadium, and on wednesday they lose home against Alkmar 0-3 in cup semi-final. This is probably game to skip or maybe try with goals but for me I dont expect Twente to lose and their players are more rested. Twente DNB @1.91

Over 2.5 is 1.30 and Over 3.5 is 1.83! This is such a crap value, it is a crime taking such robbery from the bookies. I don't know why you get the idea that PSV has weak defense - only Twente and Ajax have conceded less goals, but you have to take in mind that many of the goals conceded by PSV took place in games when PSV was beating heavily their opponents and could afford losing concentration for a while. Of course, it would be a surprise if this game does not go over 2.5, but it certainly isn't worth 1.3, except for people willing to take such cut-off prices thinking they got a "secure 10/10 bet". I personally wouldn't be surprised if Heerenveen does not net a goal, and in such case you would have to rely on PSV to do the whole job on their own. The same goes for the other two games. I know it sounds very fascinating, but not every game of PSV, VItesse, Ajax, Heracles, Roda and ADO ends with over 2.5. Bookies are not idiots and they know how to make money out of such popular public bets - by cutting drastically coefficients for instance. Man, you seem to be constantly chasing each favorite bet at crap price in every possible league and competition - didn't you already find out that it does not work out this way or else all the bookies would have gone bankrupt?!

Toivonen played 90 mins for the youth team yesterday so might well get some time off the bench again, would give them a real boost if he can come back with some kind of form for the last 10 games. PSV seem to smash teams or struggle, home and away, which shows in the goal difference which is 35 better than Feyenoord who are only 3 points behind them! You put forward a good argument Fedar and I will take them -1.5 for a few points.

I second that! Price on Vitesse is shockingly huge! Yes, Twente are practically already pushed against the wall and they must bounce-back, but I don't think they got the resources at the moment - their attack is a joke without Chadli (even with him it is nothing special), their defense is deteriorating with every match, the micro-climate in the team is ruined. Vitesse underwent a crisis which coincided with Bony's departure for CAN but now the team is back on track and back to their best form. I was really impressed by them last week against Utrecht and how well they controlled the game against a very tough opponent.

Their defense is much more stable and compact when they visit and they seem to be enjoying the empty spaces they are left with. Their away schedule so far have been terrible - visits to PSV, Ajax, Twente, Heracles, Heerenveen. Still, they didn't lose by more than two goals at any of these stadiums (managed a draw in Heracles and Heerenveen, where they had to win - they were leading 2-0), which is not a bad accomplishment for a bottom team. They have so far two away victories, one of them very impressive - at AZ Alkmaar. Willem is hopelessly at the bottom of the table and they have little chances of survival. If they want to keep a thin hope alive, they must at any price win this game. Which means they will have to attack a lot against a team that knows how to defend on their visits, and they will inevitably leave a lot of empty space for Venlo to explore. The pressure is totally on Willem's shoulders - they must win this game, while Venlo will be more relaxed, as they are at relegation play-offs with 8 points advantage before Willem. Very bad coaching from Advocaat - he benched both top players Matavz and Toivonen, and put some guy, called Hiljemark, whom I never heard of, despite having seen quite a lot of PSV. The guy was a tragedy and it was like PSV playing with ten men. Very weird decision to play such inexperienced and unknown player for such important game, while keeping two of the top guys on the bench. At half-time, old Advocaat substituted the poor anonymous guy and he put on both Toivonen and Matavz, and PSV dominated entirely the second half and missed plenty of chances to recover the deficit. Yet, not to sound that I am looking for excuses, there has been also an error of judgment on my behalf - I said Dries Mertens is enough as he is a great player, however, as Lens and Narsingh were absent and there was no other sharp and good dribbler on the wing besides Mertens, Heerenveen defense totally concentrated on marking the flank where Dries Mertens was operating.

Ajax - Zwolle Ajax have undergone a micro-crisis in the last few weeks - the team missed two consecutive home wins against weak teams (something which happens very rarely) and meanwhile was beaten by AZ at Amsterdam Arena for the Dutch Cup and got eliminated by Steaua in EL. First half ado should have got a penalty but the ref denied it unfortunately. Second half az was the better side but did not create many chances 1-1 fair result. Tomorrow forza Vitesse and I am on roda - feyenoord over 2.5 aswell. Feyenoord is red hot at the moment and they score goals anywhere and they have some talented players in their squad. On the other hand we have Roda jc with the likes of Malki. This guy can also score goals out of nowhere. Both to score is a banker for me and I'm Thinking of a correct score bet 1-2 or 1-3. Also Coutinho, Omeruo and V duinen are doubtfull, The miss of V Duinen will be a big blow for Ado he is the man in form and scoring the goals. Vitesse is still missing V der Heijden a good regular central defender the build up for the attack always starts with him, last week this was the problem for vitesse against twente and rutten needed to make changes in the half time to fix this. Vitesse is fighting for the championship with Ajax, Psv and Feyenoord while Ado needs the points for european football. If V duinen is able to play bts looks good! Overal Vitesse looks stronger has a good record this year in playing away games and they have the best striker in Bony. Odds 2.2

But anyways, this weekend I will wait for the team news of ado. I wanted to take the straight away win for vitesse due a ''almost'' perfect season for them. This is one of the toughest games for vitesse left and if they will win this one they make a huge step finishing top 3 this year. Van der heijden is a blow but vitesse can perfectly play on the break. If van Duinen will miss the game I will take vitesse with medium stakes otherwise I will play the over 2.5 goals and both to score as my main bets. I know vitesse will score for sure but Ado depends on Van duinen nowadays. Vitesse kept a clean sheet in 3 of the last 4 games and I rate them higher here. Ajax will face a tough test away to AZ but my guts tell me they have something to fight for. They lost against AZ in the Cup without some regulars but were the better side for 70 minutes. Now with full squad available they normally would win here but it is always a hard game for ajax. It will be tight and also going on over 2.5 goals and both to score due sloppy defences on both sides. Fr groningen will face FC twente. who improved in their last game against vitesse but still lost. Anyhow sooner or later they will win again but when is the big question? If douglas is back that will give them a boost and I fancy twente to take the points. But without him FC groningen is a hard place to go. They will miss lindgrenn and probably ajilore both regular midfielders but the rest of the team is fit and Groningen ussualy do get results at home. After the winter break, they played 9 games and achieved 6 times over 3.5 (5 of which was over 4.5 goals). Last week they had an exceptionally low scoring game - 1-0 with NEC, so the common logic points that now Heracles will go back to the typical mood of scoring and conceding goals. Venlo at home is an ideal opponent for over-ish football. It is an interesting fact that Venlo home games produce a lot of goals, while their visits tend to be very tight and goal-less. For instance, the first seven home games of Venlo in season 2012-13 produced each more than 3.5 goals - a really unique achievement. Meanwhile, the first seven away games of Venlo did not produce a single over 3.5, only two "over 2.5" and whole 5 "under 2.5". Venlo kept this trend throughout the season. They just open up too much when they play at home which results in many goals, mainly in their own goal. At the moment, Venlo are at the 17th place (relegation play-off), 5 points away from Zwolle, which is the first team above the line. They must try to win at home against a midtable team like Heracles, so they will surely play open football once again. 2. PSV - RKC Waalwijk PSV AH -2,-2.5 @ 2.075 (bet 365) PSV lost again last week and surrendered the first place. Hence, it is a perfect time to search for a big PSV home win against one of the poorest teams in Eredivisie. PSV covered this handicap in 8 home games (out of 13). It is interesting that they did not manage to cover it in the last two home games (2:1 Utrecht and 2:0 Venlo). Now they are hurt badly after the defeat in Heerenveen and are expected to bite back. They will still miss suspended attacker Lens, and are expected to start up-front with Matavz, Locadia and Mertens. Waalwijk is a poor team in a poor form. Their only chance to escape a massacre in Eindhoven is lowered motivation in the home team. Something very unlikely after the defeat last week in Heerenveen. 3. AZ - Ajax AZ or Draw @ 2.00 (bet 365) These two teams are the emblematic examples of underachiever and overachiever this season in Eredivisie. Ajax is the over-achiever, because they are weaker than the last two seasons and they hardly played any convincing football so far, but they somehow manage to get the points and have been leading the table for most of the season. AZ Alkmaar is the big under-achiever in Holland. It is incredible how such team which has potential for top 3, is actually threatened by relegation at the moment. They have a very good coach, they have one of the best young talents in Europe - Maher, they have a very prolific goal-scorer in the face of Altidore, a good and pacy winger like Beerens, they create numerous goal-scoring chances, but they somehow fail to convert and happen to be on the losing side in most their games. I think that sooner or later the luck factor will even up, and the last third of the season will feature the rise of AZ and the regress of Ajax. It is very likely to start on Sunday in the direct match. AZ are against the wall and must start winning games. I think their motivation will be optimal and they won't lose against Ajax.
