Re: Ryder Cup 2012 Europe is not enough to make a comeback today. The only guys playing well are colsaerts and poulter. Rose and Donald have been as expected. Everyone else has been a disappointment. I can't see 8 guys doing a 180 and all of a sudden flipping the switch.

Re: Ryder Cup 2012 singles bets Webb Simpson v Ian Poulter 3pts Ian Poulter to win @ 2 Sportingbet One man who has not let Europe down this week is Poults, he has been everything someone in a Ryder cup team should be. The way he's played this week he should definintely be odds on for this match and if he putts like he has been all week this is a point for europe. Phil Mickelson v Justin Rose 3pts Mickelson to win @ 2 Ladbrokes Phil's been immense this week, he's playing some of the best golf i've seen him play for some time. In this form he's pretty much unplayable, Rose hasn't been great this week and I can't see Mickelson losing this match up. Dustin Johnson v Nicolas Colsaerts 3pts Colsaerts to win @ 2.38 Stanjames 2 big hitters here and both have played some decent stuff the last 2 days with the highlight obviously being Colsaerts winning the fourballs Friday night. Colsaerts is a proven matchplay winner and Dustin can be a bit erratic at times, Colsaerts seems to thrive off pressure and looks as if he's going to need the point here. Matt Kuchar v Lee Westwood 3pts Kuchar to win @ 2.1 Ladbrokes Westy's putting has been really poor this week and he's really let the european team down. He is really off the boil at the moment and if there is one man that he wouldn't want to be up against its Kuch. Kuchar is Mr reliable, he doesn't make mistakes and even under pressure seems to remain calm and he should get the point here. Steve Stricker v Martin Kaymer 3pts Stricker to win @ 2 Ladbrokes Kaymer really wasn't ready for this week and i can see this being a bit of a whitewash. Stricker has the game and experience to close this one out quickly, this is a real mismatch and i have to take Stricker at these odds. Zach Johnson v Greame Mcdowell 3pts Mcdowell to win @ 2.375 Sportingbet Another good match up here. Both good players and this one will be close, the one thing in Mcdowells favour is the way he plays so calmly under pressure. If there was anyone i would rely on to get a much needed point for Europe G-Mac would be right up there. Keegan Bradley v Rory Mcilroy 1pt Tie @ 8 Ladbrokes I know alot of people would take Bradley at the price he's at and I can't understand why Mcilroy is favourite here. But Mcilroy loves showing why he is touted as the worlds best golfer, the way Poulter played with Rory will inspire him today to get the point europe so much needs and if he is the greatest golfer in the world, this is where he can prove it against the on-fire american. GL Everyone with todays bets!

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Why? If you're telling me you would have given him that putt in those circumstances you are either a liar or a very soft touch :lol.
kev, as a golfer, that putt would be given in all circumnstances. Despite all the competition, the game is played by gentlemen or should be. Kuchar showed what poor losers the americans still are. Mickelson would never have done that.

I'm a golfer and, at this stage of a RC, there's no danger I'd have conceded it. Competitive spirit at its very best.

[h=1]Ryder Cup 2012: Europe beat USA after record comeback[/h] Europe won eight of the 12 singles matches as they staged a miraculous comeback to beat the United States 14½-13½ to retain the Ryder Cup. Germany's Martin Kaymer sank the winning putt from six feet on the 18th. Europe, who started the day 10-6 down, won the first five singles matches with Luke Donald, Ian Poulter, Rory McIlroy, Justin Rose and Paul Lawrie triumphant. Three wins put the US 12-11 up but Lee Westwood and Sergio Garcia picked up crucial points before the late drama. The Americans have never lost more than a two-point advantage on the final day since the competition began in 1927. More to follow. USA 13½-14½ Europe Watson lost to Donald 2&1 Simpson lost to Poulter 2 up Bradley lost to McIlroy 2&1 Mickelson lost to Rose 1 up Snedeker lost to Lawrie 5&3 D Johnson beat Colsaerts 3&2 Z Johnson beat McDowell 2&1 Furyk lost to Garcia 1 up Dufner beat Hanson 2 up Kuchar lost to Westwood 3&2 Stricker lost to Kaymer 1 up Woods A/S Molinari

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

If you can't hole an 18 inch putt you probably would hate to play against me :lol.
strange, then again i expect nothing else woods gave us the putt on the final hole, its called being a gentleman on the golf course, not many about it seems these days Ive played with too many who either dont give you putts or do. Its part of the game but in the pro game, 2 down and facing a defeat, kuchar done the worng thing. Im sure he probably relaisd that afterwards

Re: Ryder Cup 2012 Kuchar should have given that putt guys. Different story if it was A/S or only 1 in it, Westy was 3 up with 3 to play, i thought it was bad sportsmanship on Kuchar's part... Yes, Westwood said afterwards that he was right to make him putt it, but when you saw his face when Kuchar didn't give him the putt, he thought it was ridiculous.... Definite bad sportsmanship on Kuchar's part, i played interclub golf this year myself and i was given longer putts.

Re: Ryder Cup 2012

Taxi for McIlroy more like had to get a police escort to get to the course on time the plonker :lol Just on Woods he was really poor this week IMO his heart is just in the Ryder Cup no pay cheque at the end of it and he just ain't a team player.
yep half a point in 4 games is pretty poor, those who laid him all weekend would be happy he doesnt like these type of courses to be honest and posibly one of the golfers not happy with DAvis Love's decision on how the course would be set up. Nicklaus wasnt either as he said before the singles started we got battered in the fourballs and foursomes and perhaps our singles game is much better now than it ever has been. Remember the likes of McIlroy, Donald, Kaymer and Westwood have all been in the top 5 for some time although the yanks have improved lately, our boys came out on top

A closer match and yes, you would have a think about it but Kuchar was winning nothing today we've always had a rule that if you are putting for par, then you have to putt it, but im talking 14-20 hcaps here not top pro's :)
