Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) Champions League- 2th of September- 20.45 CET- Cluj-Manchester United over 2.5 @1.95 5/10 pinnacle (fair @1.80) Cluj won their first match away at Sporting Braga with 2:0 thanks to Sougou, who scored both goals. They acutally had just a few shots on goal but scored twice while Braga had dozen of chances but failed and wasted all of their chances. In their domestic league, they have already conceded 14 goals while they scored 21. So no overwhelming defence like the Red Devils. They have conceded in every of their previous league match so far. They had a very poor first half against Tottenham having just one shot made in the first half. But after the break, Rooney came on for a poor Giggs and the game changed. Tottenham had just once chance in the second half and they scored as the United defence was no defence indeed as most of their players were up front. But they did produce hugh pressure and Tottenham had problems to defend. Rooney has seen his free-kick hitting the post, another shot hit the bar. United was much better in the second half as they put their opponents under constant pressure. They attacked the Spurs as soon as they had the ball. Ferguson will make no experiments, he wants to win this one. I expect Ferguson to play finally with two strikers from the beginning. Rooney and van Persie could start together for the first time. I also can see Ferguson starting Cleverley and Anderson together in midfield with Carrick on the bench and Scholes being left out of the squad. Hopefully he will also start with Buttner as left-back instead of Evra, as the Dutch international had quiet a good start into his Manchester United career. I definitely expect to see another Manchester United team, more like the second half of the Tottenham game. With two strikers up front from the beginning, they will be much better. United don't have problems to score and I can easily see them scoring at least 2 goals. Cluj could also score here but 0-3 is nothing that I don't expect. GL

I couldn't in all honesty back united away from at those short odds. I think the minimum for an away side in this competition when talking about a strong away side such as United, should be an absolute minimum of 1.50. So united are still fairly short. Crossing league form with Champions League firm isn't something I would ever sign up to, but I just couldn't back united right now. Cluj probably aren't the strongest side in this competition this year, and I'd probably have them somewhere near the bottom. But having the better quality won't always win you football matches, and I think united are very short for a side that don't look to have found their rhythm yet this season.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) CFR beat Basel in both legs while Basel beat Manchester so I'm pretty confident CFR can make a good game against the devils. In my opinion it's all gonna go down to attitude. Manchester strikes me as a cocky team, just like Liverpool. They lack motivation when playing 'poor'teams. They seem to motivate themselves only when they face a good team. In all honesty, I have to admit ManUtd is the better team, I just don't see them playing with much interest tomorrow night. After receiving 3 from Tottenham, I see a more defensive Man Utd and also a defensive CFR trying to keep a clean sheet and hope to a 0-0;

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd)

I watched the highlights against Braga and they sit back and defended. Braga was not good enough/wasted too many chances.
Indeed, Braga created some chances, had pleanty of shots, but in reality they had only 2-3 really dangerous actions in whole game. On the other hand, Cluj home is a little bit different. Basel or Liberec had no important chances in Romania and were dominated. I stay away.

As Gala Fan, My prediction about Gala-Braga game it will be tough one against the Portugian side Braga the team hard to concede goals and beat. But i believe that we are capable to do it especially we are hungry for CL after the 6 years in our Stadium with 55.000 supporters.Plus F.Terim will be key factor on that game.Which is shown on first game on Manchester we fought for a point so we gonna fight tomorrow for take 3 points and i can feel that is highly possible. About the first 11 : hamit is injured he wont play also elmander will sit on the bench Sorry for my English mistakes if i have :) Galatasaray Win So C.S. 2-1 or 2-0

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) Welcome B.Mert and thank you for your thoughts. I watched the game against Manchester United, and Galatasaray deserved a point from the game. They should have had a penalty or two, and were very unlucky not to score anyway. Two shots on the post and one on the crossbar! If Umut Bulut had stayed on the field longer, I'm sure Galatasaray would have scored. Good luck tomorrow against Braga. I have one pick for tomorrow for the Manchester United game, using RedDevil's info and adding my own analysis: CFR Cluj -v- Mancheser United Both teams to score: Yes @ 1.85 odds with Betfair (3/10 units) Manchester United travel to Romania tomorrow with a defence and midfield which is without many important players. They travel to Romania also having conceded three goals at Old Trafford (something which very rarely happens), having lost 3-2 to Spurs at the weekend, the first time Spurs beat Manchester United in the league in 23 years! If it hasn't already been clear this season, United have a lot of problems in their team. The squad that has travelled to Romania is as follows: De Gea, Lindegaard; Buttner, Evans, Evra, Ferdinand, M. Keane, Rafael, Wootton; Anderson, Cleverley, Fletcher, Lingard, Nani, Powell, Tunnicliffe; Hernandez, Kagawa, Rooney, van Persie, Welbeck. Thus United are without the following defenders: Vidic, Smalling and Jones. They are also without the following midfielders: Carrick, Giggs, Scholes, Valencia and Young. Therefore they are forced to rely upon a very shaky defence. It will most likely consist of: Rafael – Ferdinand – Evans – Evra Rafael is defensively an awful full back. He attacks way too much, is caught out of position often as a result, is extremely rash in his decision making and prone to giving the ball away. Ferdinand is almost 34 (next month), is still a great wise defender and has wonderful awareness and remains a crafty defender, but he is carrying an injury and will struggle to get through 90 minutes tomorrow after 90 minutes against Spurs on Saturday. Evans is a solid defender, but is not the sort of top defender United expect to have. Evra is losing his pace and legs as he ages. He is questionable in his defensive decision making and positioning too. All in all, that defence is very poor and other than Buttner, have no first choice options as replacements. Furthermore, Ferguson has not solved the goalkeeping position since Van der Sar's departure. He bought De Gea to replace VdS, but over the course of a year has changed back and forth between De Gea and Lindegaar, due to mistakes by De Gea. De Gea is extremely young and inexperienced, while Lindegaard is not of a high enough level, nor is he truly experienced enough. Either way, whom ever plays in goal, neither keeper has the ability to command their area, especially since the defence keeps changing. Then in midfield United have only one player who can protect the defence – Fletcher. Fletcher is amazingly playing football again after contracting a disease which almost ended his career. He has had no pre-season and has only played one full game since returning to the team (plus 10 minutes against Galatasaray). He is nowhere near match fitness. Otherwise, the rest of the team will be attacking minded for United. I expect RVP, Rooney, Kagawa all to start, and then probably Nani, along with either Anderson/Cleverly or Wellbeck. It all depends on what formation and system Ferguson goes for tomorrow. But let's not pretend. None of the rest of Manchester United's players who will play tomorrow are defensive minded. Ferguson is no fool. He knows the problems with his team. He will set his team up to attack, and to outscore Cluj. Cluj must know United's defensive and midfield problems too. They are the team playing at home tomorrow and it is a big occasion for the club. This is only their third time in the group stages. They have started very surprisingly and brightly in this campaign, having beaten Braga away 2-0, and must be confident after that result. In their eight previous home games in the Champions League group stages, they have scored in 6 out of 8 of those games. Against Chelsea (Mourinho's Chelsea) and Bayern München. They have scored a lot of goals this season too. In summary, I cannot possibly see a way for Cluj to go out tomorrow night and play defensively. It just doesn't make sense. They have to go and score, not just because it is their mission or goal, but because they will have to if they want to get anything from this game. Manchester United will have to attack and therefore so will Cluj. I know I picked both teams to score in the previous Manchester United game against Galatasaray and that one failed, but that night it was a miracle that Galatasaray didn't receive a penalty or a goal. Also that night, United had Vidic and Carrick and Scholes and Valencia. All four of these players are not available tomorrow and therefore United will concede. Medium stakes, as I am confident.

Thanks for your good wishes. Yeah , unfortunately Referee just changed the way of game with the miss at first minute penalty which cause Umut injured by Vidic and off!also our players were unlucky with hitting the crossbars as you told. So this one won't be like that and we will take it by create luck to ourselves :) About Cluj - Manchester United game ; I believe that Man U will take that game either for not to face last year risky situation again. Cluj fire at the moment but they havent met yet team as Man U and this time RVP,Rooney,Kagawa wont miss chances as Braga players did at first match. Finally, there is a huge class difference between teams ; may both score as you told but i prefer United and think Sir Alex wont underestimate that game. Manchester United Win

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) CFR CLUJ VS MANCHESTER UNITED After their defeat at Tottenham,I am pretty sure Ferguson will be demanding a win here to put things right.Ferdinand was very shakey at the back & if Cluj has anyone with pace up front,i think ferdinand is going to have his hands full.Upfront united will be bursting with options.Rooney will be chomping at the bit to get a start & show what he can do.His second half performance against tottenham showed what kind of threat he brought.3 points will be a must for united,Ferguson won't really be bothered how he wins & he always sets his team up defensively away from home in european ties. Hi MaierofersNeck, I agree with your choice even though your assessment of the individual UTD defensive players might of been a touch harsh. The lack of continuity and clean sheets is more of a worry. Also a lack of understanding between Evans/Ferdinand was shown at the weekend when the pacier Evans never swapped positions to cover Bale who ran past Ferdinand to score.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) CFR will play the counter attacking football tonight against Manchester counting to find spaces to run through to score. Depends of how will Manchester approach this game and if they won't force the victory, could as well go under 2.5 goals. CFR will most probably have a fully fit squad with whom they also won the european games they had so far.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) I know I am being harsh on the players individually, but that is largely due to how I am influenced by other people who as Manchester United fans, are extremely critical of their fallacies this season.

CFR Cluj V Man Utd Under 2.5 goals @ 1.97 - bet365. I think the unders offer pretty decent value here as I expect United to line up fairly strongly to avoid a repeat of last seasons CL disaster. I don't think though that Cluj are total mugs, as the prices suggest, which makes United poor value for the win in my eyes. They're clearly good enough to compete at this level, as beating Basle to qualify, and beating Braga away in the last fixture should demonstrate. I think Sir Alex and United will just be interested in getting the points, and the performance will come secondary. As there are another four group games after this to worry about. A point wouldn't be the end if the world, given the apparent quality of opposition. I also feel that should United go one up they won't be pushing things in an attempt to get more and more. They may just try to run through the motions, and accept the small win as it comes. Similar to the way they played away from home in the league last season, which won them a lot of games. I can't see complacency being an issue this time around. Especially following the loss at home to spurs at the weekend.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) 2-3 realy dangerous actions? 29 shots ON target, Cfr's goalkeeper was included in the best XI of the round... Come on! CFR had 3 actions and 2 of them were goals. United is no Liberec or Basel. Cfr will sit back and provide long balls to Bastos and Sougou, that's all Cfr can do in this game. United win to nill i guess is the best bet, or you can try Draw HT United FT.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) For me, as a United fan, it is definately a game to stay away from. Anything could happen. I do not agree with the comment above that Ferguson is going here for a 0-0 draw though, that is ridiculous. If he has any aspiration to win this tournament, he will be coming to Romania for 3 points, nothing less. That doesn't mean he will get them though. Anyone that thinks Cluj are a weak team would want to look again. They are unbeaten in their last 6 Champions League games, a 1-1 draw in Rome, a 1-0 win at home to Slovan Liberec, a 2-1 win away to Liberec, a 2-1 win away to Basle (who United got knocked out by last season), a 1-0 win at home to Basle and a 2-0 win away to Braga. They are playing at home, with a relatively fully fit squad, full of confidence, with absolutely nothing to lose. United's weak defence and midfield is there for everyone to see, RedDevil if you think United will win 3-0, i think that is your heart ruling your head, i would take a 1-0 win right now if you gave it to me. A definate no-bet game for me.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) *Galatasaray WIN @ 2.0 Betfair* I think this is a great price, i was really impressed with Galatasaray at Old Trafford, they played United off the pitch for a lot of the game, and did not deserve to lose. Galatasaray have won their last 4 games at home on the trot, and Braga are in for a very tough game tonight. The home side do have a couple of injury worries, Altintop, Ujfalusi, and Riera should all miss the game, but up front they are a real threat with Yilmaz and Bulut up front, who are a great partnership. Braga have a good record in Turkey, but i think this Galatasaray side could be one of the best we could see for a number of years, and i think the odds are generous.

Good post. I'll pick that because Man Utd is one of the teams that have took goal in every matches that they have played.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) CFR Cluj v Man Utd over 2.5 @ 1.93 pinnacle CFR Cluj v Man Utd over 3.5 @ 3.27 sportsbet CFR Cluj played well in beating Braga 2-0 away and now at home, where they meet a Man Utd that has several missing players, believe that they are capable of scoring on this defence which has players like Smalling, Jones and Vidic out, while they have been suspect and found out in their previous games. Believe that Man Utd will get exposed in midfield as they are without the experience of Scholes, Giggs and Carrixk which will allow Cluj to get at this defence, and would not be surprised that they score a goal or two. Ferguson has demanded that his players step up and be more clinical so expect him to play a very strong forward line that features van Persie and Rooney, and will be looking at scoring a few goals here. Man Utd look good going forward but they have conceded goals when trying to defend, and it is for these reasons why this could be a high scoring game.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) Quite a popular pick but I do think over 2.5 goals is a good option here available at the evens on Betfair. Granted there's the risk with Man United's tendency to set-up more defensively in European away games. But with the firepower at Man United's disposal I find it difficult to see them not scoring here. Overall I think there's definitely more chance of it going over than unders here especially if you consider Man United's recent defensive record.

Re: Group H > Oct 2 (CFR Cluj, Galatasaray, Braga, Man Utd) Guys, CFR will play bunker and defend and try to hit on counters. The guys that can score for CFR are the following Sougou, Bastos, Kapetanos and Muresan who has some good long range shots but is also very prone to get booked and also today the refereee will be Undiano Mallenco who gives cards very easily. Sougou CFR's best striker has some apce and is very good on coutners. Kapetanos, the other striker is slow but he has executions , good with head and generally doesn't miss plus an odd ability of finding the net in the last 10 min of the game. Bastos also ahs pace , he is more of an attacking winger and he could be also very good on counters. Generally when a Romanian team , meets a big team like Bayern, man Utd, lyon in UCL etc...they almost always lose, only exception is CFR vs Chelsea 0-0 a few years ago, only Cadu and Muresan played that game from today's team. And generally they don't even score. CFR is going to be very satisfied with a draw and honestly I don't see them winning best they can hope for is a 0-0...probably under is a good bet due to the fact that manUtd are in abit of a crisis , but if Utd scores fast it might turn into a big los for CLuj , who will have to actually attack. Personally do believe that 0-0 is best CFR can achieve here....most probab result 0-1 , 0-2 for Utd ...under 2,5 is a solid bet.

Considering United's poor defensive performance lately, and the aggressive counter attacking style of Cluj, in my opinion there's good value in this 1,83 offered from Bet365. I'm fan of Man United and I follow every our game... obviously we don't play well at the back. I know Cluj don't have a huge history in romanian football, but there are in the European tournaments since 2008, I've watch many of their games and every time they've played aggressively in counter attack. They prooved that in the last round against Braga. Good Luck:hope
